“Bridget Jones” TV Show

Bridget Jones’s Diary, the British novel that spawned a film franchise starring actress Renee Zellweger, is being adapted into a TV spinoff for NBC, The Guardian reports.

Sources say the 2001 romantic comedy and its 2004 follow-up (Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason) are being reworked for the small screen through a new development deal between NBC Universal and Working Title. The two production companies plan to eventually rework a number of films from the Working Title’s library of over 90 British theatrical releases – which includes Four Weddings and A Funeral, Billy Elliot, Notting Hill, and Nanny McPhee.

Lady Gaga High School Pictures

Hot off the heels of yesterday’s Megan Fox yearbook pictures getting a lot of buzz comes Lady Gaga’s high school pictures, dug up by Perez Hilton.

Much like Fox, Lady Gaga’s high school yearbook photos reveal that she was quite attractive even as far back as high school. Lady Gaga attended Convent of the Sacred Heart, a Roman Catholic school in Manhattan, and her yearbook reveals some interesting tidbits such as the fact that her piano is her prized possession and that she was on The Sopranos (what?). It also lists her pet peeve as “ordinary people” which I find pretty hilarious given the way her career has gone.

Adam Lambert On Drugs: “Many Parents Are Too Conservative, There Are Certain Drugs That Are Really Fun…”

Never one to mince words, American Idol alum/Glam rocker Adam Lambert is speaking candidly about his past history of drug use, and criticizing American parents for coddling their children.

In a new interview with Britain’s News of The World this week, Glambert says: “I went wild and I was experimenting with certain substances… At 26 I started running with hippies, going to underground events, I was really drawn to that crowd, everyone embraced each other’s differences. It didn’t get to the stage where it ruined my life or where it was anything too serious but it was definitely something I tried. There are so many parents who are too conservative in America. There are certain drugs out there that are really fun and recreational and can mean a good time. I’m not an advocate for drugs, but it is all rock and roll and we are all adults.”

TigerText: The App for Spies and Cheaters

If you've ever sent a text message that you've later regretted sending (Tiger Woods, I'm looking at you), then a new texting application just released for the iPhone could be your new best friend. Called TigerText (ironic, isn't it?) from a company of the same name, the texting app lets users set a time limit for text messages -- and when the time is up, the messages will self-destruct and be wiped from the original phone, the receiving phone, and the server.

The app itself is free to try (the first 100 messages in 15 days are free, and it's always free to read messages), and only $1.49 per 250 messages sent per month ($2.49 per month for unlimited messages) after that. Once you've downloaded it, you must sign up for an account and tether it to your phone (it sends a confirmation to your number), and then you can start sending self-destructing messages right away.

Message recipients must also download TigerTest , and then they can read the message for free. You can set a time span for a text (for example, the text can be set to delete itself two hours after deliver, whether it has been read or not), and another choice is "delete on read," which causes the message to delete itself 60 seconds after the recipient has opened the text (how Mission Impossible!).

PlayStation Network down, so are lots of PS3s

It's unclear exactly what's going on at the moment, but it appears that the PlayStation Network is down and causing a whole host of related problems for PS3 systems, including 8001050F error codes, game crashes, corrupted trophy info, and even the complete inability to launch certain titles. There's no ETA on when things will get back to normal -- looks like it's gonna be a Blu-ray kind of evening for PS3 owners out there.

Sony's tweeted that it's "looking into it," and our boys at Joy say that owners of original PS3s are seeing their clocks reset and even data loss in some cases. We'll keep you updated.

Donnie Yen returns to planet Earth

Donnie Yen attended a press conference yesterday for his upcoming movie Ip Man 2. The sequel to the 2008 smash hit will hit theaters on April 29th. He was joined by costar Lynn Xiong, producer Raymond Wong, director Wilson Yip and writer Edmond Wong to preview the movie's trailer and theme song.

The King in Bed/Universe’s Strongest was asked about his famous one-on-ten battle in the first Ip Man. He said he won’t do something like that again to prove his Kung Fu supremacy in the sequel. When asked if it is because he has already been crowned the “Universe’s Best Action Star Fighter”, Donnie Yen responded, “I’ve returned to Earth from the Universe! I put a lot of effort in my acting, and hope it'll change everyone’s impression on action-actors. Everyone tend to overlook that it’s difficult for action-actors to fight and act at the same time. In order to maintain the emotions while being physically exhausted, it really relies on one’s will power.”

Hottests reveal incriminating photos of 2PM members

And you thought it couldn’t get any worse – photos of 2PM have been pulled out by Hottests, revealing unexpected sides of the 2PM members that we didn’t know of beforehand.

As fans and readers know, 2PM’s Junsu made headlines last year when Thai performer Waii claimed to have been in a relationship then with the hottie, then broken up with him because of the public. This rumor was unofficially denied by a JYPE rep via Twitter (with hints of a lawsuit), but unearthed photos linking Waii to megastar Rain (an ex-JYPE artist) and CUBE Entertainment have cast a shadow of doubt on the whole matter. Junsu himself denied even knowing Waii, but this recently unveiled photo indicates otherwise:

Kara surpasses SNSD’s Oh!

Kara’s recent comeback has garnered the attention of many! With a hot tune and an even catchier dance, the girls have been soaring over the competition–much so that they have even surpassed SNSD’s Oh! on music charts!

Kara’s hit song Lupin has effortlessly managed to kick SNSD’s song to the curb as they have reached #1 on the music portal site Dosirak. Much different from their previous songs, Lupin is catching the attention of fans with the new visual dance style.

Windows Phone 7 Metro UI skin for WinMo 6.5 gets early alpha video demo

Enchanted by Microsoft’s new Metro UI for Windows Phone 7, but can’t wait until the first handsets running the OS begin to show up later in the year?  Over at XDA-Developers Jaxbot is working on a Metro UI theme for Windows Mobile 6.5 devices, and there’s a very early release available for testing on VGA or WVGA handsets.

When we say “very early”, we mean it.  By Jaxbot’s own admission the UI runs very slow; as you can see in the video demo below it’s not really usable on your everyday device at present.  The promised beta should be far snappier, however.

Twins practices a lot before their first performance together

Audience had been anxious for the separated for two years Twins to perform again. Finally the night before, Twins attended a night reception and did a performance together. Both of them especially wore red evening dress and wore the same styled belt but different color. Ah Sa was excited as she said: "It has been two years since we sang together. For a good performance, we practiced several times the night before the performance, Ah Gil had a very brave attitude!"
