Lee Hyori’s comeback date officially set for April 2!

After constantly pushing back her comeback date, Korean sex icon Lee Hyori announced earlier this month that she had finally finished recording her album. It was then reported that her title track had been confirmed and that her comeback would be in April. We’re now glad to report that the sexy superstar will be officially returning to the k-pop scene on April 2nd!

Lee Hyori’s 4th album has been in the works for a long time and has been highly anticipated for almost half a year now. The identity of the title track and concept still remains a mystery, but it’s only a matter of time before we start receiving small teasers for next week’s release. Let’s also not forget that Lee Hyori also collaborated with 4minute’s Jiyoon and After School’s Bekah in a powerful hip-hop track that will be part of this album.

No doubt this comeback has been a greatness in the making. 2009 was a time for idol groups to make their big debuts, but 2010 is definitely going to be the solo artists’ time to steal the spotlight. And with Rain making a comeback a few days before Lee Hyori, it looks like Korea’s hottest male and female will be battling it out for the #1 spot!

Lady Antebellum Returns To No. 1, Marvin Sapp Debuts Big On Billboard 200

Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a fourth non-consecutive week (93,000; down 11%), but the big album chart news is the arrival of Marvin Sapp's "Here I Am" at No. 2 with 76,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's not only Sapp's highest charting album, but the highest-ranking gospel album ever in the 54-year history of the Billboard 200 chart.

Sapp's previous high-water mark came with his previous set, "Thirsty," when it hit No. 28. Until this week, no gospel album had gone higher than No. 3 -- a rank last reached by a gospel set when God's Property from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation debuted and peaked at No. 3 on June 14, 1997 with "God's Property." Sapp's "Thirsty" spent 81 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold 712,000 to date -- an impressive number for a gospel set. Its long chart run and handsome sales figure is partially owed to his surprise smash single "Never Would Have Made It." The tune peaked at No. 14 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and lingered for 56 weeks on the list.

T-Mobile claims to soon have fastest 3G in U.S.

T-Mobile USA said it will soon have bragging rights as the nation's fastest 3G network. But will the claim to fame help the company attract new customers?

Executives at the CTIA trade show here on Tuesday outlined the company's network upgrade plans to a technology called HSPA+ that will effectively triple its network download speeds on its 3G wireless network by the end of the year.

T-Mobile admits that it got to the 3G wireless party late, but executives at the company said current upgrades to their network will offer faster speeds to more consumers than even new 4G wireless networks being built by Verizon Wireless and Clearwire, which is partnering with Sprint Nextel.

"We were late with 3G," Neville Ray, senior vice president of engineering and operations at T-Mobile USA, said during an interview. "But we've been catching up rapidly. And now with HSPA+ we will surpass our competitors."

MetroPCS LTE network arriving 2H 2010 with Samsung SCH-r900

All eyes may be on WiMAX and the HTC EVO 4G for Sprint right now, but they won’t have the 4G focus for long. MetroPCS have announced that they and Samsung will be rolling out the US’ first commercially-availabile LTE network this year, with the first handset being the multimode CDMA/LTE Samsung SCH-r900.

While consumers will get to play with the SCH-r900, MetroPCS will have to get to grips with Samsung Mobile’s infrastructure and IP multimedia subsystem tech, which will form the backbone of the new LTE network. That adds up to real-time streaming video-on-demand and super-fast browsing speeds.

Xiao Zhu pranks Ethan to his limit

Earlier, Ethan Ruan (Xiao Tian) caused a huge ruckus when reports of him starting a room at a hotel with another girl surfaced, after which he immediately had a public apology to his girlfriend Tiffany Hsu. Yesterday, Ethan and Mark Zhao recorded the variety show 100% Entertainment, and show hosts Show Luo (Xiao Zhu) and Xiao Gui surprisingly didn't mention Tiffany at all, and instead bugged Mark about his rumoured girlfriend Janine Chang. Ethan wasn't affected by negative news, and agreed to Xiao Zhu's requests for him to hold hands with and look into the eyes of a female fan.

Mark was questioned repeatedly about any romantic feelings for Janine, to which he pointedly said that they were just friends. However, Show didn't believe him at all, and Ethan was punished as a result. The jokester Show blew air into Ethan's ear, then tried to kiss him, the poor Ethan had to close his eyes while fighting back. Since both his hands were tied, and his head held onto by Xiao Gui, he only escaped Show by rolling on the ground, causing the crowd to roar with laughter.
