Taeyang: "After the 'elbowing incident', I decided to respect Seungri"

After the ‘video incident,’ decided to treat Seungri as an adult

Although Taeyang is in the middle of his solo activities, there can’t not also be talk about Big Bang. All the members had taken part in solo activities, but their colors are all different.

“The reason we do music is because it makes us happy and we like it. When we put out solo albums we match it to our individual styles, and when we put out an album as Big Bang we do music that we can do together. We don’t fight when we talk about music.”

Recently, a video of Big Bang member G-Dragon elbowing youngest Seungri went viral and became quite a scandal.
“After watching the video, I thought it could be interpreted badly. We weren’t being smart. We should be doing that out in public.. We should have behaved more professionally. We’re all really close, and I think our acting naturally around each other was misunderstood. I realized that a lot of people are watching us. Also I decided to respect Seungri from now on. I realized that I have to treat Seungri like an adult (laughs).”

Park ShinHye, Han SeungYeon and Sulli – great interests as to who will be the female lead to ‘Mischievous Kiss’

f(x) Sulli has been added to the list of possible candidates for the female lead to upcoming drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’.

Ahead of that, it has been revealed that SS501 Kim HyunJoong has been confirmed as male lead for the drama, Sulli is amongst the possible female lead for the drama apart from Park ShinHye and KARA Han SeungYeon.

Kim HyunJoong will play the role of Baek SeungJo who excels in everything he does. Kim HyunJoong has been chosen over Dong Bang Shin Ki ChangMin and C.N Blue Jung YongHwa for the role.

Netizens’ comment to the casting are, “The sync rate for Kim HyunJoong for this role is 100%”, “The key is who is going to be the female lead” etc.

'X-Men: First Class': Matthew Vaughn fills his cast with up-and-comers

Casting rumors on X-Men: First Class have been out of control. So let’s sort out what’s true and what’s not. For the record, Fox — the studio behind the movie — isn’t confirming any of the chatter. Our sources, however, tell us that About a Boy’s Nicholas Hoult (pictured, left), who recently appeared in Clash of the Titans and A Single Man, will play Beast in the film, which also stars James McAvoy as Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Caleb Landry Jones — who will appear in The Last Exorcism in August, and The Social Network in October — will take on the role of Banshee. The third name you can add to the list is Lucas Till (pictured, right), the actor who played Miley Cyrus’ beau in Hannah Montana: The Movie. He is in negotiations to play the role of Havok. Still, my sources tell me to keep in mind that these parts may not be the actual characters in the movie. Instead, this could be part of a misdirection campaign to keep some surprises from X-Men fans.

And in terms of what’s not true: Aaron Johnson is not appearing in X-Men: First Class. The British star of Kick-Ass may have been photographed leaving a building with Vaughn and McAvoy, but he will not be playing any type of superhero, or any other part for that matter, in the new film. Same goes for Taylor Lautner, who can’t fit another film into his busy schedule. The teen star, better known as Jacob Black, is currently shooting Abduction with John Singleton, and will begin filming Breaking Dawn, the final Twilight chapter, in the fall.

LCD components for 4th generation iPod Touch reveal hole for front-facing camera?

International trade company Alibaba has posted two purported components for the next generation iPod Touch. These products include an LCD assembly unit with digitizer and a stand-alone digitizer (both of which include a hole in the top center of the assembly that could be used for a front-facing camera). These components potentially support the notion of a front-facing camera put forth earlier by UK retailer John Lewis, however, as MacRumors points out, the implied back-to-back positioning of a front and rear-facing camera on a device as slim as the iPod Touch is difficult, if not impossible. If Apple was going to include a center front-facing camera as shown above, the rear camera must be positioned to the side or removed completely. In light of this camera positioning information, what do you think? Real or just some fake knock-offs?

Microsoft to patch Google engineer's zero-day next week

Sped up patch job originally slated for August release

Microsoft today said it will deliver four security updates next week to patch five vulnerabilities in Windows and Office, including the bug that a Google researcher took public a month ago.

As expected, the slate for next Tuesday is relatively short: Microsoft has been shipping alternating large and small batches of fixes, with the larger updates landing in even-numbered months. In June, for example, the company issued 10 bulletins that patched a record-tying 34 vulnerabilities. May's collection, meanwhile, amounted to just two bulletins that fixed two flaws.

"This month is light, and would have been even lighter if Tavis hadn't forced them to move faster than their norm [to patch his vulnerability]," said Wolfgang Kandek, the chief technology officer of Qualys.

Kandek was referring to Tavis Ormandy, the Google security engineer who published attack code in early June for a bug in Windows XP's Help and Support Center, a feature that lets users access and download Microsoft help files from the Web, and can be used by support technicians to launch remote support tools on a local PC. The bug, Microsoft said today, also affects Windows Server 2003.

Zac Efron Vanessa Hudgens Engagement Imminent?

Is Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron planning a proposal to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens?

According to well-placed spies for celebrity Gossip Guy Zack Taylor, Efron has selected an engagement ring that he will present to his former High School Musical co-star — and GF of four years — sometime in the next few weeks.

The couple have reportedly been shacking up in Efron’s Los Angeles-area home since Vanessa’s Malibu mansion suffered devastating damage in a flood back in May.

Now Zac if finally ready to take things to the next level.

“The proposal has been something [Zac] has been thinking about for a while. He already has the ring picked out and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the two engaged this summer,” the insider divulges.

Marisa Miller Named Earth's Sexiest Woman

It seems like every magazine in the world comes out with a Sexiest Woman on the Planet poll at least once a year.

Finally, though, a publication has clearly made the right choice. (No offense, Kate Beckinsale!)

FHM says it asked over one million voters across two dozen countries to name the most attractive female on Earth. The winner? Marisa Miller. The proof? Right here:

Not only does Miller look like this, she appears to embrace housework!

MeeGo prototype phone crushes Android 2.2 in JS rendering. 1.5 times faster CPU helps, of course

The Aava MeeGo development platform is not an actual device that you can or will be able to buy. It’s a reference design meant to showcase the platform’s possibilities.

That said, some, or who knows, even most of its features may end up in phones and/or tablets sooner or later.

It’s powered by a 1.5 GHz Intel Moorestown processor, Intel’s first foray into the world of really low-power consuming chips, which has traditionally been ARM’s territory. Though before concluding that ARM is dead and Intel will rule this market too, one must also consider that Intel still has a long way to go with regards to power consumption, while in the ARM camp, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragons are coming. This will definitely be one fight to watch in the coming months.

Flash Player investing in a 3D future, plans coming in October

Man, Adobe is really teasing up Flash and 3D. Straight from the mouth (or, rather, keyboard) of product manager Thibault Imbert: "What kind of [3D] API? True textured z-buffered triangles ? GPU acceleration? Even better? What I can say is forget what you have seen before, it is going to be big." Big talk in regards to a session at the company's upcoming MAX 2010 conference entitled (aptly enough) "Flash Player 3D Future." According to the description and some added details care of Imbert, expect discussion and demos of a renderer coming in a future version of Flash Player. We'd love to give you something more concrete, but looks like that might be awhile -- the talk isn't until October 27th.

HTC promises Windows Phone 7 from “day one”

Until last year, the platform of choice for HTC was, as everybody knows, Windows Mobile. Now, in 2010, things are completely different: HTC introduced lots of Android smartphones, and only one based on Microsoft’s mobile OS (the somewhat forgettable HTC HD Mini).

Of course, it’s mainly Microsoft’s fault for this, because it’s kind of late with launching the new Windows Phone 7 platform.

Naturally, HTC – alongside Samsung, LG, and a bunch of other companies – supported WP7 since the first day it was announced, and it later stated it would launch WP7 devices before the end of 2010 (two of them might be the HTC Mondrian and HTC Mozart).

We still don’t know when exactly HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 smartphone will be out. However, Eric Lin, the company’s global PR and online community manager, told Pocket-lint the following:

“I know that we’re working with Microsoft. I know that we have access to the OS, to the tools, so I have every reason to believe that we’re going to be there on day one”.
