Tape of Mel Gibson's Outburst Hits the Web

Mel Gibson can now be heard unleashing a profanity-laced tirade against ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva – using the N-word and other derogatory phrases – in a recording that's hit the Internet.

Posted by Radar Online, the recording features the actor boiling over how Grigorieva dresses.

"You go around sashaying in your tight clothes. I won't stand for that anymore," Gibson tells his ex.

Gibson, 54, also accuses the Russian singer, 40, of getting breast implants and trying to breastfeed their 8-month-old daughter Lucia.

"You are provocatively dressed all the time with your fake boobs that you feel you have to show off," he allegedly says on the tape. "I'm just telling you the truth. I don't like it. I don't believe you anymore. I don't trust you. I don’t love you. OK? I will take care of my child but I don't want you anymore."

As the conversation progresses, Gibson's voice rises to increasingly angry levels, while Grigorieva remains calm.

A rep for Gibson had no comment.

Britney Spears Getting a "Glee"-Full Makeover

Britney Spears is the latest mega pop star to be getting a "Glee"-full makeover.

"We are writing a Britney Spears episode," Ryan Murphy, creator of the hit musical comedy TV show, told celebrity news show Entertainment Tonight.

It was not clear whether Spears, 28, the biggest pop music phenomenon of the early 2000s with hits like "Oops!...I Did It Again" and "Piece of Me", would also appear in the episode planned for the new season which starts in the fall.

"Glee", which won 19 Emmy nominations on Thursday, based two episodes earlier this year on the music of Madonna and Lady Gaga but neither of the singers appeared on the show.

"Glee", about a struggling high school show choir that sings cover versions of pop, Broadway and hip-hop tunes, was one of the most-talked about TV programs of the last year.

It produced three hit albums of music while also sending sales soaring for the original artists whose music is featured, and its young stars recently completed a U.S. concert tour.

AT&T Samsung Captivate hands on!

We have just received our very own Samsung Captivate device and have put together some first impressions as well as some great photos. The Samsung Galaxy S is launching in some form or fashion on practically every U.S. carrier, and AT&T’s model, the Captivate, is pretty action-packed. As far as specifications, the device is powered by a 1GHz CPU, 2GB 16GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera, Super AMOLED screen, and Android 2.1. As far as the hardware goes, the device is very, very thin, but comes across as feeling pretty cheap thanks to a, well, really cheap plastic casing. Samsung tries to add a little pizazz with the textured back battery cover, but honestly it gets lost in a sea of mediocrity. The display is top notch, though, very readable and usable in sunlight, with great colors. The blue default color scheme on here really pops with the contrasting deep black. As far as size, 4 inches of display seems like the perfect compromise between the gargantuan DROID X and EVO 4G and the smaller iPhone-sized handsets.

The Captivate seems very snappy, and it isn’t as molested as we’d figured it would be. You know, when mixing AT&T and Samsung together, well, we don’t tend to get pleasant thoughts about that collaboration. We’re not saying there isn’t enough AT&T-branded apps and content in here to make Andy Rubin nauseous, we’re just saying it’s more tolerable than we thought, and that’s a good thing for everyday usage. We’ll get started on our full review, but in the meantime check out some pretty pictures!

YouTube now supports 4k-resolution videos

Thought 1080p video on YouTube was big? Think bigger.

YouTube on Friday announced that its player now supports 4k, a standard resolution for films that measures 4096x3072 pixels. As YouTube Engineer Ramesh Sarukkai explained in the announcement on YouTube's official blog, "4K is nearly four times the size of 1080p," and it dwarfs even Imax, which projects films in the slightly smaller 2k format, with its 2048?1080-pixel resolution.

Of course, the proof of 4k's merits is in the pudding, which is why YouTube has a special playlist of five films that can be played back in their original 4k resolution. As Sarukkai warns, viewing these properly requires considerable bandwidth speed, as well as the right gear.

Speaking of which, even with a fast connection, home users will need the proper equipment to enjoy 4k videos in their native resolution. This means a large display, or 4k-capable projector--neither of which can be had on the cheap. It's also worth mentioning that while quite good-looking, streaming 4k video still has to jump through some of the same compression hoops that lower resolutions of HD video must do, meaning that they'll be playing at a much lower bit rate than you'd see, if you were to watch it from the source. On smaller videos, this can be less noticeable, but when blown up big, compression artifacts can be easier to spot.

Narsha’s BBI RI BOP A music video hit by religious controversy

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha’s music video of her solo debut track BBI RI BOP A has been hit with religious controversy. These accusations stem from the provocative and sacrilegious uses of the laurels and the shawl being drenched in blood, etc.

Narsha’s company defended these accusations by stating:

“The religious controversy that arose from the music video is due to over-excessive interpretations”

“We weren’t abusing or belittling religious subject matter. Instead, it was a production implying the symbolism in the lyrics and overall story”

Raymond Lam: Lacks a Lover

Referring Raymond Lam as "Loved by All" is definitely not exaggerated. He has a wealthy family background, successful career, so good at acting and singing he gets complete support. However, what about relationships? Speaking of his "Miss Right" after his one and only rumored girlfriend Linda Chung, there was no one else. Raymond laughed out loud in his response: "My mom asked me when I'm going to get a girl... Can't rush these things, one day I will have a family of my own, just I don't know when." Life is like that, not perfect.

Speaking of his rumored girlfriend Linda Chung in the past year, he said: "It's quite funny talking about it. Honestly, I never dated Linda. It's less than 5 times that I spoke to her on the phone. And when we do, it's mainly on what time we're filming tomorrow or say a Thank You after shooting a MV. But such simple thing can lead to such big rumors, even people from overseas believed it. They called me and asked if I was dating? If the rumors continue like this, I'm afraid the public will think it's true, then no one will want to get near me."

[Oriental Daily 7/9/10] In another interview, Raymond admits that he did have 'good feelings' towards Linda. He said: "Because we were filming series together, I have talked to Linda on the phone. As partners in a series and for filming purposes, I did have 'good feelings' for her. (Qualify your girlfriend requirements?) No, our personalities do not match. I only can treat her as a friend and little sister, I won't have love feelings for her." Plans to be married at age 35, Raymond lets go of many of his requirements for a girlfriend, he said: "I only look for someone with an attractive appearance and that we feel comfortable being together."

Lohan 'scared to death' of jail, plans to appeal

'We're angry. We're disappointed in the system,' star's mom says of sentence

Lindsay Lohan is "scared to death" about going to jail, and is planning to appeal her 90-day sentence with a new lawyer, her mother Dina Lohan said in an interview.

"She's a fighter, and until the final result — we're not giving up," Dina Lohan told celebrity news television show Entertainment Tonight in an interview to be broadcast on Friday.

"I think it's time we get another attorney just to see it from another light and do damage control," she added, saying her daughter hoped to file an appeal.

The "Mean Girls" actress is due to start her three-month jail term on July 20. She was ordered to jail by a Beverly Hills judge who ruled on Tuesday that Lohan, 24, had violated her probation for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case because she had failed to attend weekly alcohol education classes imposed by the court.

'Avatar' gets IMAX re-release; 'Titanic' 3-D redo not yet official

IMAX announced today that beginning August 27, it will offer fans a two-week re-release of the highest-grossing movie ever. This time around Avatar will include 8 minutes of never-before-seen footage of James Cameron’s other-worldly extravaganza, contributing to the $235 million that the film has generated in IMAX theaters worldwide. As for Cameron’s other behemoth, Titanic, plans are still in the works to re-release the ocean liner disaster feature in 3-D sometime in 2012, but a month has not yet been decided upon. Paramount Pictures declined to comment, but sources say the release will be part of the studio’s 100-year celebration, which is likely to feature other special releases.

Currently tests are being done with a variety of 3-D companies to convert the 13-year old Titanic into 3-D, but one has not yet been selected. The tests look great, says sources who have seen the footage. Once a technology company is chosen and a budget is agreed upon, an official release date will be set.

Expecting Perfection from Apple Design

Aluminosilicate glass. CNC-machined steel. A4. IPS panels. Unibody. Retina display. It sounds like jargon plucked from a stuffy science journal. But it's straight out of Apple marketing.

The iPhone 4 is a zenith for materials discourse in Apple's online marketing: Parts and process. How something is made, the actual process of putting it together, and what it's made out of. They're justifiably proud of their baby.

The introduction video for the unibody MacBook Pro was an exegesis on the production of a notebook. According to Apple's implication, other company's notebooks are made out of multiple parts, so they're weak. The MacBook Pro is made out of a single piece of aluminium, Jon Ive informs us. It's CNC-machined. It goes through 9 milling operations. The video even shows us how it's done. A factory worker leisurely examines a unibody frame.

What's inside the MacBook's aluminum exoskeleton merits a much smaller chunk of airtime. After all, it's practically the same slices of silicon any other notebook manufacturer can procure and shove inside their laptops. Intel chips. Nvidia graphics cards. A hard drive. Some RAM. Dell notebooks have this stuff. So do HP, Asus, Lenovo and Acer. All the same inside, all sourced from the same handful of suppliers. This fact is in part why the what and how of Apple's products became a critical point of distinction. It's why they're better.

Idol drama dialogues: The lamer the better

Their pretty faces come and go. Their hair is often regrettable. But their mushy dialogues never go out of style! Ah….the reason why we love idol dramas. Here is a closer look at these unforgettable yet cringe-inducing words of love from UDN.

Mothers always tell their girls not to fall for sweet talk from men. But in the world of idol dramas, when men confess their love, their choice of words are as mushy as one can get.

Hailed as a modern day Chiung Yao-drama (Top-selling romance novelist who penned Princess Pearl), GTV’s Summer’s Desire unleashes endless lines of mushy dialogues with no hesitation. Lead actors Peter Ho and Huang Xiao Ming behave as if they are suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, but it is really all for their love of Barbie Hsu (Da S).

In the drama, Peter Ho said to Da S, “You will only be mine from now on”, “Wear the green lace that I gave you, you can only let your hair down when you are in front of me.” Not to be outdone, Huang Xiao Ming said to her, “Wishing to put you in my pocket and take you away, remember to think of me, don’t turn off your cell phone, don’t leave me not being able to find you!”
