Michael Cera, Chris Evans, & Jason Schwartzman Endorse “Pantless Saturdays”

The studs of 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' -- Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman and Chris Evans -- are introducing a new male trend in GQ's comedy issue: Pantless Saturdays.

"Monday through Friday belongs to our bosses, Sunday to our Lord," writes Brett Martin in the introduction to the hilarious photo shoot. "But Saturday, if only for a precious few hours, it's all about the boys -- about the sweet liberation that comes with standing tall and unfettered, proudly proclaiming, 'This, madam, is my junk. Now, kindly step aside and allow me into the museum.'"

Other highlights from the annual comedy issue include Bill Murray weighing in on making 'Garfield' ("I worked all day and kept going, 'That's the line? Well, I can't say that.' And you sit there and go, 'What can I say that will make this funny? And make it make sense?' And I worked. I was exhausted, soaked with sweat, and the lines got worse and worse.") and three covers with funnymen Paul Rudd, Tracy Morgan and Zach Galifianakis.

Jessica Simpson “American Idol” Judge?

Jessica Simpson’s reality TV days haven’t faded to black just yet. Word on The Snitch Circuit has it that the one-time Newlyweds star is being courted to take a seat on the judging panel of American Idol.

Simpson is currently in negotiations to become the next judge on the reality music competition, a show snoop reveals in the Aug. 9 issue of Life & Style. But don’t expect the Price of Beauty star to fill the coveted spot vacated by acid-tongued pundit Siimon Cowell last spring. Tattles say Simpson’s addition will be part of a “massive overhaul” headed to the tenth season of the long-running talent show and FOX and Idol are still on the hunt for a musically-inclined character to replace Cowell.

T-Mobile’s mystery HSPA+ device actually the HTC myTouch 3G HD?

Yesterday, we reported on the T-Mobile information page for a mystery HSPA+ device and subsequently on a theory that this device was the HTC Vision/Blaze. Now, to further cloud the rumor waters, Android Central has received an image that their tipster claims is the HTC myTouch 3G HD, and the T-Mobile mystery device. AC’s tipster described the device as a myTouch 3G Slide minus the slide-out QWERTY keyboard and with an HSPA+ capable radio. What do you think? Would any of you T-Mo customers sign up for an HSAP+, all-touch myTouch?

Best Buy to offer free invisibleSHIELD 4fix to aggravated iPhone 4 owners

It's hard to say for certain what exactly this flyer means, but it sure looks as if at least some iPhone 4 owners will be able to snatch a free invisibleSHIELD 4fix (valued at $9.99 or so) from their local Best Buy. Based on a number of tips that we've received, we're getting the impression that the yellow-tagged retailer could be handing out (and installing) completely free side coverings for any iPhone 4 owner that waltzes into a store, presumably as a proactive measure to fend off returns or to upsell consumers on an entire invisibleSHIELD / separate case. Nothing about this notice makes clear that you actually have to buy your iPhone 4 from Best Buy in order to take advantage, but we probably wouldn't waste a lunch break giving this a go without a verbal confirmation from your local store manager. Until it's made official, of course.

Eminem tops albums chart for a fifth week, fending off Rick Ross

Eminem just rode to a fifth straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart, selling another 187,000 copies of his Recovery according to Nielsen SoundScan. Scoring a big opening number is hard enough these days; sustaining such high sales for more than a month is rarer still.

Rick Ross, the man whom some expected to end Em’s chart reign, missed the mark by just 11,000 units in the end. Ross’ Teflon Don debuts at No. 2 with a solid 176,000 copies sold. That’s actually a bit higher than his chart-topping Deeper Than Rap did last year (158,000), so hopefully Ross is celebrating somewhere today even though he had to settle for second-best.

From there it’s a steep drop to No. 3, where we find Sheryl Crow’s 100 Miles from Memphis with an okay-not-great 55,000 copies sold. No. 5 goes to those irrepressible Kidz Bop Kidz, whose Kidz Bop 18 (featuring covers of Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and more) sold 43,000. At No. 7 it’s the Jonas Brothers’ Jonas L.A. soundtrack, whose 32,000 bow hardly compares to the kind of digits they were once able to post.

Those were the only notable new entries in this week’s Top 20. What do you think? Surprised that first-week Rick Ross couldn’t quite beat fifth-week Eminem? Who do you think will finally knock Em out of that No. 1 spot?

Lady Gaga's Poolside Makeout Session

It looks like Lady Gaga's relationship with on-off boyfriend Luc Carl is anything but a bad romance.

After all, the "Paparazzi" singer was spotted by the, er, paparazzi on Monday using her poker face to suck face with him during a pool party at the St. Regis Hotel in Houston, Texas.

OK, enough with the lame song references.

Let's just say it's kinda nice for a change to see Gaga temporarily free herself from her wacky wardrobe to simply kick back, relax and spend some time not being Gaga.

Then again, the sight of her wading in the water dressed in any of her crazy couture outfits would actually be pretty spectacular too.

Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Expecting Their First Child

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr sure can keep a secret!

Not only did the lovebirds recently pull off a totally under-the-radar wedding, but a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly that the Victoria's Secret model, 27, has been keeping something else classified as well: She's pregnant!

"She's definitely pregnant... Miranda's thrilled," says a source close to the Australia native, who wed the actor, 33, at an undisclosed location -- reportedly in the Caribbean -- less than a month after revealing their engagement on June 21. "She's telling all her friends, mostly other models, about it."

While the pal says no official announcement will be made, the couple of three years' big news will be hard to keep hidden.

"She poses in lingerie," says the friend of Kerr, who has modeled for Victoria's Secret since 2007. "It will be obvious soon enough."

The bride, who kicked off a Caribbean getaway with Bloom at Anguilla's Viceroy resort on July 17, certainly hasn't hidden her desire for a child.

"I have always been very open about wanting to be a mother one day," she recently told an Australian newspaper. "And I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad!"

Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt "Always Makes Me Feel Sexy"

A day after she flashed a lot of leg in a thigh-high Versace slit dress, Angelina Jolie covered up in a black spaghetti strap dress at a Salt press conference Wednesday in Seoul, South Korea.

"I think you feel sexy if you live an honest and bold life," she told reporters, according to the Korea Herald. "Maybe living life the way I've always lived it had something to do with that, but really, what makes me feel sexy is Brad. He always makes me feel sexy and desirable."

Jolie, 35, also praised Pitt, 46, for his parenting skills.

He's the reasons she's able to balance work and family life so well, she noted.

"I'm fortunate enough to work just a few months out of the year, and I have the luxury of having Brad help out as well," she said. "I have so much respect for everyday parents. For me and the best thing to do for myself is to combine my work and my children as much as possible."

She added that her kids are even accompanying her while she tours the world to promote Salt.

Zai Zai's kissing is considerate and skillful, non-stop laughter in "Love you ten thousand years" pre-screening!

"Love You Ten Thousand Years" held a media prescreening today at the Hsinyi Wei-Siu. Producer Peggy Chiao and director Kitamura appeared together with cast members Yuki Kato, Wang Yue, Wei Man, Zhulei An, and the light bulbs were flashing non-stop at the venue. Not used to being the focus of media attention, Yuki Kato was both excited and nervous, especially since the media persistently/ repeatedly asked her about the kissing scene with Zai Zai, making her blush.

Wang Yue* who is busy with theater stage work, took the time to specially come today, and also acted as the host and interviewed the film cast. Wang joked: "Really can't accept it, that such a funny local Taiwan movie is actually filmed by a Japanese!". Fortunately, the director Kitamura has a Taiwanese wife, so this was able to somewhat calm down the anger of sister Wang. Wang Yue also gave strong approval on the dedicated performance of the film cast, especially the female lead Yuki Kato - in order to take on this movie she diligently learnt chinese until she became quite fluent in it. Wang jokes: "I think the one who is the most tense now should be Tanaka Chie**! "

Jin Akanishi gets first No.1 since going solo

Jin Akanishi’s (26) movie “BANDAGE” has made its DVD sales debut at number one, figures released from Oricon today have revealed.

Released on July 23, the DVD has already sold more than 37,000 copies in Japan, making it top the DVD sales chart and has given Akanishi his first number one since becoming a solo artist.

The movie is set in the rock band boom of the 1990s, where LANDS (Akanishi’s band) have to overcome a number of challenges in order to make their professional debut. When the movie was released in Japan on November 21 2009, more than 70,000 pre-sold tickets had been bought by fans. This was the largest number of pre-sold tickets Toho cinemas had sold for a live-action film.

The number one record also beats Akanishi’s previous record for solo work, when the DVD box set for his drama “有閑倶楽部 (Yukan Club)” peaked at number nine in April 2008, with 20,000 copies sold.
