LG's Android-based Optimus Pad gets pictured, looking tablet-like

We've already heard LG talk up its forthcoming Optimus tablet, and it looks like we now have our first look at it. As you can see above in a slide apparently shown during LG's pre-IFA Dealer Days event, the Android-based tablet is now apparently known as the "Optimus Pad," and it's described as boasting "superior performance" and being "thinner and lighter than many competitors' tablets." Not much more than that at the moment, unfortunately, but here's hoping that "more information to come" teaser is a lead-up to a full announcement at IFA this week.

2NE1’s ‘Go Away’ MV director teases with a picture of the MV set!

Not long ago it was revealed by YG Entertainment that 2NE1 were to start filming for the music video of one of three title tracks titled ‘Go Away’ on the 30th, and were scheduled to finish sometime on the 31st.

With only nine days left now before 2NE1 releases their first full album, the director of the music video ‘Go Away’, Cha Eun Taek, decided to tease the already excited Black Jacks with a photo of a race car at the set of the music video on his Twitter.

It was revealed that 2NE1’s leader CL was to transform into a female car racer for the ‘Go Away’ music video.

Miss Lam calls Joey Yung a "little singer" for her comment about not being biased to Filipinos

The day before, Joey Yung publicly urges HK citizens to not be bias towards Filipinos, don't fire their maids just because of the tour bus hostage incident. But a political candidate by-election (?) Miss Lam (Lam Yi Lai - 林依麗) ridiculed Joey as just a "small little singer" in the music scene and is not qualified to comment on the incident. The clip of her message circulated online and has angered many stars including Denise Ho, Miriam Yeung, Hins Cheung, Cyrus Chow and Pong Nan, along with many fans gave Joey justice.

Reporters later interviewed Miss Lam, she insists that she was not wrong and said: "Isn't she a small little singer? She's only in her 20s-30s, little children just stick to singing, why talk so much? If she minds, then I'll call her a Big Singer! (Apologize?) Silly! Apologize for what? I didn't say anything, those people are angered? (Many singers are unsatisfied?) Those singers just want to get famous, of course they'll say something. If a Big Singer, then shouldn't mind being called a small little singer, Joey Yung I can't even name one song by her! Don't try to get promotions."

Show brings authentic Taiwan to Hangeng

Ex-Super Junior member, Hangeng, came to Taiwan for his first solo album, Geng's Heart, and, in one breath, recorded 3 episodes of 100% Entertainment, hosted by Show Luo. In order to entertain his good friend, Show bought fried steamed buns (水煎包), scallion pancakes (蔥抓餅), mung bean soup (綠豆湯), marinated foods, and more so that Hangeng can experience authentic Taiwanese food. In the end, it didn't even take NT$300 (~$9.37) to accomplish the job.

On the day of recording, as soon as Hangeng arrived on set, he was dragged by Show to the lounge to catch up for half-an-hour. They became good friends after filming a commercial together in Tailand last year. By night time, for dinner, Show had prepared numerous Taiwanese snacks and the two jokingly fed each other. Reporters teased Show about being too stingy, his retort was, "I didn't buy just what I liked to eat. The main point is that these have the authentic Taiwanese taste."

Singer Vivian Hsu claims career frozen for past three years

Taiwan singer-actress Vivian Hsu admitted in her micro blog that her career had been put on ice for past three years, reported Hong Kong media.

"Because I am 'Iron V (Vivian)', keeping me in deep freeze is useless. I can fly elsewhere to sing," Hsu said in a post dated August 28.

The singer-actress, who had recently devoted much of her time to developing her music career in Japan, went on to explain why she decided to have her say in further posts on the matter.

"I just ... wanted to answer all my fans who have asked why I have not released a Mandarin album, to give them an honest answer. I am not afraid of evil forces as I am Iron V and believe in justice.

"I don't want to make enemies of anyone. Heaven will be able to see who is of good character," she wrote.

The 35-year-old star, who had previously written the lyrics to various songs by Khalil Fong and Jay Chou, is believed to have made these statements as she did not get a chance to put out a single album with her former label Warner Music, before her contract expired in July this year.

Lindsay Lohan Pulled Over in Her Maserati in LA

Lindsay Lohan was pulled over late last night in West Hollywood after she blew through a stop sign, according to an X17online report. But Celebuzz tells a juicier tale, one of LiLo driving up to 120 mph and blasting through multiple stop signs and red lights. The latter is less likely, as Lohan escaped the encounter with only a warning.

The 23-year-old starlet was in her $150,000 Maserati, en route to the Chateau Marmont.

Lindsay rode with a passenger, who The Hollywood Gossip identifies as Eilat Anschel. The same site notes Lohan's recent prison and rehab stints have left her with a zero-tolerance policy on illegal activities.

TMZ calls Lohan a "cop charmer," adding, "Lindsay is counting on shooting 'Inferno' in mid-November in Louisiana -- if she runs afoul of the law, the judge almost certainly will not let her leave the state."

Kanye West 'Runaway Love' Remix With Justin Bieber

It's official: Kanye West and Justin Bieber have teamed up with Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon to remix Justin's 'My World 2.0' song 'Runaway Love.' They debuted the track on Hip Hop Connection. Twitter brought the unlikely trio together after West tweeted, "Listening to @JustinBieber 'Run Away love.'" The two pop stars then exchanged messages, and the rest is music history.

Raekwon spits two verses, while Kanye takes just one verse on the track. "Last name West, and my teeth diamonds," West raps. "She said, 'Yo, what's your occupation: crazy rhyming?'"

Bieber's vocals from the original recording remain intact.

Earlier this month, Raekwon announced to XXLMag.com that the song was "definitely gonna happen."

"When you got these kinda talents merging together to do something exciting, I think it's something that's gonna make the fans check it out. I'm big fans of both of these guys. I think, at the end of the day, shorty is a sensation," he added.

'I thought the cocaine was gum,' claims Paris Hilton as she is charged with drug possession and faces FOUR years in prison

Paris Hilton is claiming she believed the cocaine found in her purse was chewing gum.

According to police report released today, the 29-year-old was handed her purse by an officer when a small bag containing the drug fell out.

The officer reported that Hilton said she had not seen the bag 'but now thought it was gum.'

Hilton was arrested for possessing cocaine in the early hours of Saturday morning after her car was stopped by police in Las Vegas.

She has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, 0.8 grams of cocaine, it is claimed today.

The socialite could face four years in prison if convicted.

She is denying the allegations, claiming the cocaine which was allegedly found, along with the purse, was not hers.

She said she had borrowed the purse from a friend.

And somehow, according to Hilton, the contents of the purse were split between herself and the friend.

The report states she claimed ownership of a broken Albuterol pill - a prescription drug used to help people with breathing - Zig Zag wrappers commonly used to smoke marijuana, $1,300 in cash and credit cards.

However, 'She said several cosmetic items inside the purse were not hers,' according to the police report.



The District Attorney filed the case today, with an October 27 arraignment, according to website TMZ.

Nevada law states that if convicted, Hilton could get anywhere from probation to four years in prison - but the standard sentence is one to four years.

She could also get fined up to $5,000.

Her boyfriend Cy Waits, who was driving the car, was booked on charges of DUI.

Today, he is said to have lost his job as head of nightclub operations for Wynn and Encore properties after this weekend's events.

According to the police report, Hilton was pulled over after a policeman smelled 'the strong odour of marijuana coming from the vehicle.'

The officer then noticed the passenger was Hilton who he then observed trying to roll up the window.

The heiress was forced to step out of her luxury car as the below photograph shows.
