LG Pad coming in Q1 2011, with Android Honeycomb, dual-core Tegra 2, and 8.9-inch screen

Want some specificity about LG's super-duper tablet roadmap? Last we heard from the Korean tech giant, it was canning plans for a Froyo slate and looking forward to a more suitable iteration of Android, which a senior official at the company has today clarified to mean Honeycomb, describing it as the "tablet PC-version" of the OS. He's even gone beyond the call of PR duty in placing a release schedule for the 8.9-inch LG Pad in the first quarter of 2011, boasting that it'll come with a dual-core Tegra 2 chip inside. That sounds terribly delicious to us, as does the note that LG has worked hard to accommodate the needs and wants of European and North American consumers -- the release window is explicitly said to be for both domestic and overseas markets.

Update: We've just heard back from LG on the matter and the company says it has nothing official to tell us. It'd seem whoever the cited official in this piece is, he was dishing details that LG doesn't want the world to know yet. LG's PR team has also pulled a tweet about this story, ostensibly to cover its tracks.

Facebook's Mobile Platform: Not a Phone, Just Software

Facebook's mobile platform has three parts, single sign on, location API and deals. And they're focusing on doing software instead of making a phone.

Now you can use one login for all your mobile sites, meaning, log into Facebook, and then Facebook will handle your "logging in" to other sites through their APIs. There's also deals, which takes advantage of your Facebook single sign on for authentication, as well as location APIs. So what's that mean? You can see where you friends are, write and publish checkins, and search for relevant places. Mostly only cool for developers, but, it allows apps to do more things.

Miley Cyrus Is Not Taking Sides in Her Parents' Divorce

Miley Cyrus won't get in the middle of her parents' divorce.

"Miley is not taking any sides on this. She has been upset recently," a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE.

"She's trying to keep everything private while her family works through this," the source says.

In divorce papers filed by Billy Ray Cyrus on Oct. 26, the country singer seeks to share custody of the three minor children he has with wife Tish: Miley, who turns 18 on Nov. 23; Braison, 16; and Noah, 10. (The pair also have two older children Trace, 21, and Brandi, 23).

Tish, 43, headed to Nashville from her L.A. home earlier this week, while Billy Ray, 49, was in Indianapolis on Monday night to sing the national anthem for the NFL's Monday Night Football Colts vs. Texans game.

Next up for Miley: a trip to Madrid this week in anticipation of her performance at MTV's European Music Awards on Sunday.

Bing goes live with Facebook social search

Bing has rolled out its new social search, a feature that can display profiles and updates from your Facebook friends as part of your Bing search results.

This step of the Facebook integration has been in the works for a few weeks, but the techs at Bing fine-tuned the feature before yesterday's rollout, according to a post on the official Bing blog.

The new social search integrates with Facebook in a couple of ways.

If you opt to link your Facebook account with your Bing log-in, searching for the name of one of your Facebook friends in Bing brings up a link to that person's entire profile in your results. This is true even if that person has elected not to share their Facebook profile with any search engines, since only you can see those results. So if you have a Facebook friend named Jerry Seinfeld, a link to his profile will appear alongside results for the famed comedian.

Early testers of the Facebook integration were apparently unhappy that they couldn't view the profiles of their friends through Bing with the same ease they could through Facebook itself, according to the blog, leading Microsoft to set up this specific type of access.

T-Mobile myTouch 4G ad kicks Apple’s iPhone in the Ma Bells

Following T-Mobile’s announcement that its 3G HSPA+ network is now its 4G HSPA+ network, the company has already stepped up its marketing in several areas. Our favorite, without question, is a new ad the carrier is running for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G. The ad mirrors the style of Apple’s “I’m a Mac” campaign, and takes shots directly at Apple’s iPhone and the “old AT&T network” the popular handset is apparently forced to carry on its back. The spot goes on to boast the T-Mobile 4G network’s ability to let users video chat anywhere, whereas iPhone users can only make FaceTime calls while connected to Wi-Fi. In the end, it’s a great playful ad that hits the iPhone where it hurts… right in the Ma Bells. Hit the jump for the video.

Jolin Tsai applauds Barbie Hsu for bravery

Taiwanese Pop Princess congratulates Barbie Hsu for her sudden engagement and applauds the actress for her bravery

Unlike her fellow artiste who got engaged after 20 days of courtship with Chinese millionaire Wang Xiaofei, Jolin Tsai revealed that she has no intentions to get married just yet.

At a showcase and autograph session held at Taipei's Ximending, the 30-year-old gave her thoughts on Barbie's impending wedding to Wang. She congratulated Barbie on this piece of good news and laughed it off when reporters ask if she will follow in the actress's footsteps.

"I don't have that urge to get married yet! To get married requires courage and finding the right person," said Jolin.

When reporters pressed on and asked if her current New Zealander beau Vivian Dawson is the "right person" she spoke of, the Mandopop singer coyly replied, "I think everyone is too nervous. Please do not tease him again."

Jolin's blossoming relationship with Vivian has been under the media's watchful eye since they were spotted holidaying in Japan together.
