It seems Brad Pitt has tired of being seen as a sex symbol.The actor has disguised his chiselled good looks with a scruffy grey beard, similar to that worn by Johnny Depp in the film Pirates Of The Caribbean.
And if that weren't enough to put the ladies off, Brad's even tied his abundant facial hair into mini ponytails threaded with silver beads.
Brad's grey beard was on show as he arrived at Narita International airport in the eastern surburbs of Tokyo today.
Facial hair is currently a popular trend amongst male celebrities, although it is proving less popular with female fans.
England footballer David Beckham and a clutch of his teammates, Jenson Button, most of Take That and even Prince William are currently sporting the facial growth.
Along with his new beard, Brad hid behind a pair of sunglasses and a beanie hat.
Carrying his own bags, the 46-year-old managed to slip unnoticed past a crowd waiting for him outside the airport.
Not present was Brad's partner Angelina Jolie and children Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and Vivienne and Knox, 15 months.
The family were last spotted together on Halloween, when they went trick or treating in New York.
Brad's beard looked like part of his costume as he dressed as DJ Lance Rock from the U.S. children's TV show Yo Gabba Gabba, while Angelina, 34, dyed her hair grey and painted blood on the side of her face.
Two new books about the couple are said to be causing distress in the Brad-Angelina household.
Brangelina Exposed, is set to lift the lid on their relationship, while another, by celebrity biographer Andrew Morton, makes revelations about Angelina's past.
