Following Taiwan's Yahoo Popular Search Awards, Hong Kong Yahoo Popular Search Awards yesterday announced its list of winners. Amongst them includes golden couple Joe Cheng & Ariel Lin who each won 2 awards, becoming the highest ranking artists in Taiwan. Amongst them, Joe won 'Hong Kong Most Popular Taiwanese Artist' which is a great encouragement for him, who switched to the music & stage play market this year.Amongst the winners of the Hong Kong Yahoo Popular Search Awards, a total of 8 Taiwanese artists won awards. The list of winners are as follows:
'Hong Kong Most Popular Taiwanese Artist' - Joe Cheng
'International Male Actor' - Joe Cheng
'International Female Actor' - Ariel Lin
'Asia Most Appealing Female Artist' - Ariel Lin
'International Music Group' - Mayday
'Asia Red-hot Male Artist' - Aska Yang
'Korea Most Popular Taiwanese Male Artist' - Jerry Yan
'Korea Most Popular Taiwanese Female Artist' - Shu Qi
Mayday previously won 'International Music Group' in 2007. At the time, drummer Guan Yu expressed emotionally: "Because we were too looking forward to this award, so we didn't get any sleep the night before. Mainly we have to thank the support from netizens. Mayday will continue to work hard, and we hope that we can win this award every year." And this year, their wish has come true, winning the award for the second time.
Aska Yang expressed: "I didn't expect Hong Kong netizens to search for my information, I'm really surprised. Thank you to everyone's support."
