Samsung’s Bada OS gets good response from carriers, Bada phone coming at MWC

Samsung has reportedly presented its newly-announced Bada operating system to mobile carriers around the globe and, according to Kim Hyung-do (Samsung’s vice president for strategic planning), the company has received good response from carriers.

And speaking of carriers, Samsung has just announced that its first Bada phone (Bada S8200, maybe?) will be showcased at MWC 2010 (15-18 February), which means that it might be available starting this spring.

Unsurprisingly, Bada OS will include the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, which comes with “chic touch interaction and components to increase its simplicity and ease of use.”

Bada OS aside, Samsung plans to launch an Android 2.1 smartphone in the first half of this year. As for Windows Mobile, it looks like Samsung will further reduce its dependency on it – as we’ve previously reported.
