HTC EVO 4G available at Sprint starting June 13?

When Sprint officially introduced the HTC EVO 4G, the carrier only said that the smartphone would be available sometime in the summer.

Hopefully, this won’t mean “late summer”. And, according to Engadget, it won’t – as Sprint might launch the EVO 4G on June 6 or June 13, with the latter date being the most probable one.

Unfortunately, it looks like customers will have to pay a $10 to $20 add-on on top of their regular data plan if they want to use 4G. The actual price of the HTC EVO 4G is still a mystery, though.

Sprint’s long-time rival Verizon is also getting a high-end Android 2.1 smartphone from HTC (the Incredible) – however, Sprint’s EVO has something that the Incredible doesn’t, and that’s obviously 4G connectivity.
