A close friend of Taiwanese singer-actor Vanness Wu has revealed the identity of his new girlfriend to be Singaporean heiress Arissa Cheo, and claimed it is a rekindled love between the pair.Former F4 member Vanness, after being spotted recently on a date with "an unknown long-haired beauty" in Hong Kong, confirmed the new romance through his manager, Katie, a few days ago. Katie referred to the fashionable, sweet-looking girl as 'Miss A'.
After word got around, a close friend revealed 'Miss A' to be the 27-year-old Arissa, who has appeared in Vanness' 'My Kingdom' music video. They dated in 2006 but broke up after one year as they drifted apart when Arissa was studying in the US.
When pressed for more information, the tight-lipped Katie declined to comment further on the situation.
Singaporean Arissa Cheo is of Indonesian-Chinese descent and hails from a wealthy family. She studied at Methodist Girls' School, where she was touted to be "very popular", sources said.
The couple is believed to have many common friends, including celebrities Stanley Huang, Melody Yeung and Jaycee Chan, who called Arissa "easygoing, gentle and chatty".
But the son of Jackie Chan insisted the girl and Vanness "are not an item," and joked about Vanness, a devout Christian, "Isn't Vanness' girlfriend God?"
