Nicholas Tse offered 10million yuan movie deal

After bagging double Best Supporting Actor wins for his role as a rickshaw-puller in the movie, Bodyguards and Assassins, at the recent Hong Kong Film Awards and the Asian Film Awards, Nicholse Tse's acting career is on the upswing.

With his acting capabilities reaffirmed by these two awards, he reportedly expressed his desires to "concentrate on filming movies" and has "little interest for drama series", according to his manager.

To seek Nicholas's participation in an upcoming drama series, a Chinese production company has offered the 29-year-old a staggering eight-figure paycheck of 10 million yuan. They requested for two months worth of his time and plan to commence shooting in Hengdian, China during July. It will be a period drama series featuring the likes of Charlene Choi and Kenny Kwan.

It is said that Nicholas is currently considering the offer. If he accepts it, he will be starting work immediately after Cecilia's confinement period.

Nicholas's manager confirmed reports of his movie offer and said, "Yes, there is such a thing [10 million yuan offer] however, the most important is Nicholas's schedule.

"During the Golden Bell Awards, he has already inked a couple of film contracts. For example, he'll be starting work with Wong Jing next month. His work schedule has already been arranged till early next year."
