Great news for fans of JJ Lin! The singer has been confirmed for next Saturday’s Golden Melody Awards as one of its performers. It was a rough week for the GMA organizers as they found out Korean group SS501 won’t be coming in full. Nevertheless, things are back on track with JJ Lin’s special performance, as well as 10-time nominee A-Mei and last year’s Best Male winner Jay Chou to present the award for Best Album.Jay Chou recently said he would like to see the Best Male nominees perform together, but due to Eason Chan’s voice fatigue and Khalil Fong’s scheduling conflict, the battle of the best won’t happen this year. Fortunately, fans will get to see plenty of JJ Lin as he performs the songs of each Best Album nominee, along with his own accompaniment on the piano. The category happens to be comprised of all female singers, but JJ Lin isn’t worry about their songs being different from his range. He said he is actually more afraid of forgetting the lyrics, “This is a really difficult challenge.”
In addition to JJ Lin, Best Newcomer nominees Shadya Lan, a Chord Hsieh, Lala Xu, Alisa Galper and Soft Lipa will also being performing on the show, and then present their own category together.
