Avril Lavigne shows off some strange dance moves on beach holiday

Has Avril Lavigne been taking dancing tips from Michael Flatley?
The pop punk star looked like she was practicing for a part in the Irish stepdancing show as she soaked up the sun on Malibu beach.
With her hands pinned to her sides and her legs appearing to do all the work, she looked just like one of the performers in the critically-acclaimed show that has become an international success.
The dancing in the show is noted for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary.
Avril, 25, looked like she'd perfected the difficult moves as she had a jig up and down on the sand.
And she even appeared to keep dancing as she made her way up some wooden steps from the beach.
Avril was taking a much-needed beach break having just finished her forthcoming new album.
The singer, who is totally loved-up with a new boyfriend, has also just launched her second perfurme - Forbidden Rose.
Yesterday, wearing a cute mis-matching white and navy striped bikini top and sky blue shorts, the Sk8ter Girl was doing some serious R&R with friends.
Presented with a rare window in her hectic schedule, the sporty star decided to polish up her volleyball footwork.
But ater a quick run around the court though, the Californian sun proved too hot and the the 25-year-old took a dip in the Pacific.
Meanwhile, her new bloke Brody Jenner, 26 - former Princes Of Malibu, Laguna Beach and The Hills star - was spotted out in Los Angeles last night, clearly trying to live up to his girlfriend's rocky reputation by having a daring mohican haircut.
Avril hooked up with Jenner after splitting from former husband Deryck Whibley, lead singer of the band Sum 41, in October last year.
Just last month, she had Brody's name tattooed under her right breast, despite they fact that had been dating mere weeks.
Since Avril's split with her former husband however, she's been busy writing and recording her new studio album, her fourth.
But in a rather sweet way, the former couple have still been working together since their divorce.
Whibley has been producing her upcoming LP, as well as Lavigne's single, Alice, which was written for Tim Burton's film Alice In Wonderland.
Last month, writing on her official Twitter account @AvrilLavigne, she said that she'd come to Europe to put the finishing touches to the album.
She wrote: "In Europe for 2 weeks, finishing up in the studio. So fun, just wrote 3 new songs in only 4 days! Radness..."
The new album will be the follow-up to 2007's The Best Damn Thing, which spawned single Girlfriend, her biggest smash hit to date. It's due out by the end of the year.
