Gwyneth Paltrow's Go-To Songwriter: Husband Chris Martin

Yes, she sings – and she's got her own songwriter at home.

In the movie Country Strong (due in January), Gwyneth Paltrow plays a washed-up country singer opposite Tim McGraw as her husband-manager. For the costars' duet, "Me and Tennessee," they turned to none other than Paltrow's husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

" 'Me and Tennessee' is a special song that perfectly fits the movie," says Paltrow, who first sang on screen in the 2000 Duets and is reportedly going to sing on Glee this season.

"It's about a couple who are maybe irreparably damaged," says Paltrow. "But then the chorus is, 'Then that old song comes on, together we're singing, forever we're singing, that old country song.' So it's about country music bringing people back together when they're having a difficult time in life."

In addition to "Me and Tennessee," Paltrow has three songs on the Country Strong soundtrack, which will be released Oct. 26. (The title track, featuring background vocals by Vince Gill and Patty Griffin, is already receiving radio play.)

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, who plays an up-and-coming singer in the movie, also contributes a song, as do country stars Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Trace Adkins, Ronnie Dunn, Patty Loveless, Hank Williams, Jr., and Lee Ann Womack.
