Kelly Rowland is getting up close and personal with fans in the new video for her latest single. “Rose Colored Glasses,” which was shot in 3D!
“This video has been fantastic, one of the best video experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve shot a lot of videos, but this one is probably the most intriguing in the sense of how it’s shot, the lighting, everything is so detailed,” an excited Rowland explained in a behind-the-scenes video posted on YouTube Tuesday. “The inspiration behind the song is just my real life. The song was actually produced by Dr Luke and written by Ester Dean.”
The promo was directed by noted fashion photographer Rankin, who praised the group effort.
“The concept of the video is that it’s in 3D. It’s a very emotional song. You have this theme of looking at the world in an optimistic way from the outside,” chimed in Rankin, who has previously worked with pop stars Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Lily Allen.
The track will appear on Kelly’s still-untitled third album, expected later this year.
