Carrie Prejean's Noncontroversial Wedding Photo

Even her critics gotta admit that Carrie Prejean looks pretty darn good in this photo taken of the newlywed after she got hitched to NFL star Kyle Boller on Friday.

Or not.

Either way, here's a first look at the former beauty queen turned controversial figure wearing an elegant one-shoulder mermaid-style gown in a picture that's anything but, well, controversial.

Unless, of course, a certain blogger decides to paint a penis on it.

Wonder Girls on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart

Wonder Girls have been busy with their Wonder Girls World Tour. Now with all but 6 shows remaining, their 2 Different Tears (EP) has made it onto Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart at #21!

Wonder Girls made big news in October when they entered the Billboard charts for the first time with their Nobody single at 76th on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles. Interestingly, the Heatseekers Albums Chart ranks the top selling albums of new or developing artists each week excluding those who have made it into the top 100 of the Billboard 200, but just like last time, Wonder Girls have somehow made it onto the Heatseekers Albums Chart.

HTC hopes to be done with Android 2.2 Froyo updates before Christmas

We all know that HTC will update its 2010 smartphones to Android 2.2 Froyo, but “when exactly?” is a question that still has no answer.

We’ve heard that the HTC Desire could get Froyo in August, but other smartphones (like the Legend, Wildfire, Incredible and Evo 4G) might not be that lucky.

Eric Lin, global PR and online community manager at HTC, told Pocket-lint that he believes the company “would be done with Froyo updates before Christmas.”

That’s not really good news, and I’m already thinking that owners of the Legend or the Wildfire (which are not high-end devices) might have to wait for Froyo the longest (i.e. until the last month of the year).

Lin explains why updates take so long, and its explanation is reasonable:

“It takes time to port all of our applications over to Froyo and then make sure that it is running well on each of our devices. That’s not like a one week kind of project. We need to make sure that our applications are taking advantage of the Froyo features. To make sure that they’re all running properly on the OS now that it’s a new version. And then to make sure that it’s running on our hardware as well as we expect”.

Do Android developers outnumber iPhone developers?

Do Android developers outnumber iPhone developers? If you believe this survey of 401 mobile developers than yes, yes they do. Vision Mobile, a “market analysis and strategy firm delivering market know-how to the mobile industry,” have a poll that indicates that more mobile application developers have experience with Google’s Android platform than with any other mobile platform, including Apple’s iOS. Developers polled cited: large market penetration, speed of development, potential to make money, and low cost dev tools as reasons for initially choosing Android. Developers indicated that they have the most experience in Android, followed by iOS, Java ME, Symbian, then “mobile web.” We should note, the poll asked developers which mobile platform(s) they had experience coding in, so it was possible to answer with multiple platforms. Isabella Kou’s husband arrested on allegations of rape

Former lawyer and socialite Patrick Leung – the husband of former Miss Hong Kong Isabella Kou – was arrested last week on allegations of sexual harassment and rape. A young female model called the police on June 27th claiming that she was raped in the Fevar Bar owned by Patrick Leung, which is located in Central. On June 28th, Patrick Leung was arrested at his estate and brought back to the police station for questioning. He was subsequently released on bail but is required to return to the police station for further investigation.

Yesterday, Patrick Leung returned to Hong Kong from a business trip in Chengdu. Upon arriving at the airport, Patrick was immediately surrounded by reporters and hounded with questions about his alleged involvement in the case: How well did you know the alleged victim? Are the accusations true? Were you asked to report back to the police station this week? Without responding to any of the reporters’ questions, Patrick only answered “Nothing to say”. Later on, he also said that right now is not the appropriate time to answer any questions, since it would be hard to say anything with so many reporters surrounding him. As he was walking to the parking lot, he also pushed aside several microphones and looked a bit agitated. Right before getting into his car, a reporter asked him why his wife Isabella did not come pick him up from the airport. Patrick did not respond, but instead muttered something about the weather under his breath. After leaving the airport, he returned to his estate in Hong Kong’s Midlevels area.

Microsoft Set to Launch Destination Arcade on July 14th

One of the little nuggets of joy that was missing from this year’s E3, was the announcement from Microsoft about their bi-annual Xbox 360 software update. Sure, they managed to announce a new Xbox 360, but nothing about the software front. Well, if you managed to get your hands on one of the new consoles from Redmond, then you should be happy in knowing that an update is right around the corner.

While we all wait for Hulu Plus to make its way to the 360, we’ll have to just be happy with whatever Microsoft is cooking up natively. That’s where Destination Arcade comes in. Right now, navigating through the Arcade section of LIVE can be somewhat tedious, with all those lists and what not. But not anymore. The new design is full of aesthetically-pleasing things. Not only does it just look slicker, the interface itself seems just that more advanced. And, if you ask us, aimed for navigating with Kinect.

AT&T throttling upload speeds?

Rumors are starting to fly around the the interwebs about the alleged throttling of upload speeds by everyones favorite wireless carrier AT&T (note: sarcasm). Users are reporting — on Apple’s discussion boards amongst other places — upload speeds topping out at around 100 Kbps in areas that consistently had much higher upload speds. If you’re wondering if your upload speeds are what they should be, go ahead and grab Speedtest.net (available for Android, Apple, BlackBerry, Palm) and let us know what your clocking in at. Currently, I’m seeing 1.8 Mbps down and 1.2 Mbps up in Boston, MA, however…BG is seeing around 300 Kbps down and around 50 Kbps up in New York, NY (ew). How about you?

Lindsay Lohan Arrives at Court - Dressed Appropriately

Lindsay Lohan arrived early to her probation violation at a Beverly Hills courthouse Monday morning.

Wearing all black with sunglasses, she sat smiling next to her civil attorney Ed McPherson.

Her estranged father Michael also arrived at court with his attorney.

Actor Danny DeVito also showed up, though it remains unclear why.

Lohan, 24, faces immediate jail time if a judge determines that she hasn't fully complied with her probation terms from her three-year drug and alcohol case.

"I'll be there to support Lindsay," Michael previously said. "And if the judge wants to give her jail time, I'll say that's not what she needs. Recidivism is so high when someone with a drug problem goes to jail."

Andrew Garfield “Spider-Man” Salary $500K

Andrew Garfield — the British actor recently cast as a teen Peter Parker in the Spider-Man reboot — will reportedly earn just $500,000 to replace Tobey Maguire in the Sony/Marvel Comics blockbuster franchise.

Garfield is said to have snagged the part after studio executives for Sony were impressed by his performance in David Fincher’s upcoming Facebook drama The Social Network. He also appeared alongside Verne Troyer and Heath Ledger in the late Oscar winner’s (Ledger) final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

But impressive screen performances weren’t enough to snag Garfield a multimillion deal to become the next Spider-Man.

We hear Garfield — a virtual unknown theater actor — has been contracted for three sequels in the role of the awkward superhero, with his salary expected to rise to $1 million for the second movie and $2 million for the third.

The same contract terms were presented to the other finalists for the lead role, Jamie Bell, Alden Ehrenreich, Anton Yelchin, Aaron Johnson, Logan Lerman, Frank Dillane and Michael Angarano.

So what’s up with the measly salary deals? The silver screen experts at Get The Big Picture offer several possible explanations:
