“The Hills” Cancelled After Six Seasons: “The Hills” Final Season Begins April 27

The upcoming seventh season of MTV’s The Hills will be its last, the show’s creator told Entertainment Weekly Wednesday.

The network has confirmed that it will pull the plug on the reality franchise at the end of the season. According to producer Adam DiVello, the hit reality series – a spinoff of Laguna Beach – will begin airing its final 12 episodes on April 27.

The show, which helped make Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and Lauren Conrad pop culture stars, chronicled the lives of a group of friends and frenemies in Southern California.

“I think we’ve told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in LA. A lot of these kids have found themselves and have certainly embarked on different careers and different paths,” DiVello said.
