Singer arouses suspicions with 'slip-up' on Graham Norton show
Rumours have been flying around regarding their wedding plans ever since Katy Perry and Russell Brand got engaged.
But an apparent slip up by the 25-year-old pop star may have revealed that they have already tied the knot.
During an interview on the Graham Norton show she spoke about Brand, saying: 'Life's never dull with him - that's why I married him!'
Graham and the audience gasped in shock at her statement before Katy quickly said; 'That's why I'm marrying him!'
Whilst she refused to admit any truth to her mistake, she also referred to Russell's mother Barbara as her 'mother-in-law', while Russell himself has been referring to Katy as his wife for some time.
The couple have aroused suspicions that they married in secret possibly to avoid the gaze of the media.
Rumours about their wedding have been rife, with a wide range of suggestions about the theme, the outfits and other such factors.
Just this week Katy said she wanted her friend Rihanna to strip at her hen party.
She said: 'I want her to strip at my party! She’s hot- she’s the coolest chick and we have a lot in common.'
The pair got engaged in India over the New Year and they are planning to wed in September - exactly a year after they started dating.
Reports this week claimed the couple had hired Lady Gaga's costume designer and fetish-wear specialist Atsuko Kudo to create latex costumes for their wedding day.
Speaking at the MuchMusic Awards on Sunday, Perry enthused: 'The latex is probably the most comfortable thing I ever wear because it just sticks on you.
