KAT-TUN arrives in Taiwan, greeted by 500 fans at airport

Popular Jpop boy band, KAT-TUN, will be holding a concert at the Taipei Arena on August 27th and 28th – tickets have long been sold out. They landed in Taiwan in the afternoon of the 26th with five hundred fans flooding the airport welcoming them. Under visual estimation, about eighty percent of the fans were there for Kamenashi Kazuya . Fan girls shouted, “Kame” while holding up signs with his name on it – “Kame” has accumulated a large fan base through his dramas besides being part of KAT-TUN. KAT-TUN, minus Akanishi Jin, was escorted by a hundred student part-timers and security guards hired by the organizers, helping them exit the airport smoothly.

The group followed the tradition of their seniors and immediately headed to Taiwan’s famous restaurant Din Tai Fung to enjoy some “Xiao Long Bao” (soup dumplings) after just getting off the plane. They then proceeded to the venue to rehearse their concert until 7pm. For dinner, the group went for hot pot.

Although fans are sad to hear about Akanishi Jin leaving the group, many Akanishi fans expressed that they will continue to support the group.
