More pictures and details of the Verizon Samsung Continuum leak

Just a few hours ago, the Samsung Continuum for Verizon was leaked via a few pictures. But as leaks seem to increase in number more and more by the day, we now have more (and better quality) pictures of this upcoming dual-screen Android smartphone from Big Red.

Along with the pictures, a few details about the handset’s internals have been made clear. The Continuum will indeed be a Galaxy S phone, its processor will be the same 1 GHz Hummingbird unit seen in all previous incarnations of the Galaxy S brand. RAM will be 336 MB and the display will be Super AMOLED (a bit of a surprise in light of recent rumors).

The “Ticker” display is in fact a Super AMOLED touchscreen as well. You can swipe it from side to side to view different types of updates. If you tap an update the main screen will turn on and show you details.

The Ticker will continuously update with push IMs, emails, SMS, Facebook notifications, Twitter and more. When the main display is on, the ticker will show the current time and weather information. Whenever a notification arrives, only the ticker will show it, leaving the main screen off.

One more detail: the model number for the Continuum is, as expected, SCH-i400. And according to the leaked Verizon roadmap, it should become available by the end of October.
