When Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston were cast in new romantic comedy Just Go With It, it would be pretty safe to assume the pair end up together.
But after the comedian was seen filming a wedding scene with swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker yesterday, perhaps the plot won't be quite so predictable.
Filming on a romantic clifftop setting on the Hawaiian island of Maui, Sandler's character appeared to be tying the knot with Decker's.
Rather tellingly, there was no sign of Aniston, who was spotted sharing an on-screen kiss with the funnyman last week.
But given the expectations that Sandler will end up with Aniston's character eventually, perhaps the wedding scene was simply a dream sequence.Or perhaps Aniston will dash on the scene and attempt to stop the ceremony in the style of The Graduate.
In the film, the 43-year-old actor plays Dr Patrick Maccabee, a commitment-phobic plastic surgeon dating a girl nearly half his age - played by Decker, 23.
Decker's character Beverly wants to settle down with Patrick, so he lies to her, claiming he's already married with children.
He enlists the help of his receptionist Katherine Palmer, a single mother played by Aniston, to pretend to be his 'estranged wife'.
Somehow, all three end up in Hawaii, where Patrick appears to be splitting his time between romancing both Beverly and Katherine.

Looking in good shape on set, Aniston, 41, denied reports she was dieting in a bid to keep up with the figure of swimsuit model Decker.
Her representative said: 'Jennifer has a trainer she works with all year round and has not specifically flown her in to Hawaii after seeing Brooklyn Decker. That's just plain silly.'
Despite Kidman being successful for her more dramatic roles, Aniston has praised the redhead for being so naturally funny on set.
She told U.S. TV show Entertainment Tonight: 'I don't know why that beautiful woman doesn't do more comedies. She is absolutely hilarious.
'She's the easiest person to hang around, and fun and funny.'
Filming has been a real family affair with Kidman joined by 20-month-old Sunday Rose and Sandler on set with his daughters Sadie, three, and Sunny, 17 months.
Sandler admitted his eldest daughter Sadie isn't always 'nice' to Aniston.
He said: 'I call her "Fifty Fifty Sadie". When she's nice to Aniston, I'm in a good mood. When she's nuts I'm like, "Sadie, come here for a minute. That's Aniston! It's fine."'
The film is the first big movie role for Decker, who is married to tennis player Andy Roddick.
She recently posed on the front cover of Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue and was voted number two in the Hot 100 list by Maxim magazine.
• Just Go With It is due for release in February 2011.
