Lea Michele Apologizes To Photographer Patrick McMullan After TIME Gala Outburst

Glee star Lea Michele is trying to put the kibosh on reports that she is becoming a world-class “Mean Girl” by publicly apologizing to the photographer she rudely dismissed at a star-studded gala last week.

Michele was one of 100 stars, including Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Robert Pattinson, who attended the dinner to celebrate TIME Magazine’s annual list of the Most Influential People in the World.

Photographer Patrick McMullan asked the actress for her name after taking her picture at the TIME 100 Gala in New York City last Monday night, but the peeved brunette — who allegedly spent much of the night playing “Kissy Face” with her boyfriend — responded by rolling her eyes and naming other celebrities at the event, including country star Taylor Swift and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as part of an exchange that went a little something like this:

Patrick McMullan: What’s your name?
Lea Michele: [Rolls eyes.] Sarah Palin.
Patrick McMullan: [Laughs.] No, really, tell me your name.
Lea Michele: Taylor Swift.
Patrick McMullan: Fuck you.

[Exits.]

Now Michele is hoping to patch things up with McMullan after reports of the incident began surfacing on the blogosphere last week.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, Michele Tweets:

“Big apology to @PatrickMcMullan. Totally didn’t expect you (or anyone) @Time 100 to know who I was w/all the amazin people there:)…Made a silly joke that didn’t go over, so sorry. It was such an incredible night and I was beyond honored and thrilled to be there:)”

We’re still waiting on a response for Patrick, who hasn’t posted any updates on the popular microblogging website since April 7.

Do you believe Lea’s apology is sincere?
