Taylor Swift Warns Kristen Stewart To Stay Away From Taylor Lautner

Don’t let the guitar disarm you, Taylor Swift is fiercely protective of her rumored other half, teen actor Taylor Lautner. The two Taylors have reportedly been dating for the last two months and been snapped on a string of high profile dates all over Los Angeles, but the country cutie can’t help but feel threatened by Lautner’s friendship with his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart. A furious Taylor Swift is incensed by Kristen’s alleged flirting with her boyfriend, tabloid tipsters blab in the new issue of London’s Now! Magazine.

Taylor was famously dumped by boy bander Joe Jonas — by phone, no less — after the crooner fell for actres Camilla Belle. Taylor’s determined not to be bested by another woman.

“She trusts Taylor but it drives her crazy to see Kristen hanging off him all the time,” a source tells Now.

The couple have spent the last few weeks apart as Taylor — who plays werewolf Jacob in the films — has been busy promoting The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In recent weeks, Taylor and Kristen have been frequently photographed together at New Moon premieres – and all the private time between the two has rattled the “Love Story” singer.

“She doesn’t buy the whole notion that Kristen only has eyes for Robert Pattinson. She believes she’s secretly longing to get her hooks into Taylor even though they’re just good friends.”

'GMA' Schedules Chris Brown After Canceling Adam Lambert

Days after canceling Adam Lambert's 'Good Morning America' concert, producers have scheduled Chris Brown for an interview and a performance, angering many, the New York Post reports.

"The network is giving a mixed message -- that it doesn't trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault," an ABC source tells the New York Post.

After Lambert's raunchy AMAs appearance, in which the former 'American Idol' runner-up kissed his male keyboardist and shoved his backup dancer's face into his crotch, ABC -- which aired the AMAs -- scrapped him from its 'GMA' lineup.

ABC insists it had nothing to do with the gay kiss, but that Lambert "showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV."

The network also says that Brown's appearance was scheduled long before Lambert was canceled.

"Chris Brown's interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna's interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week," an insider revealed.

Making Money with Twitter

Twitter Japan (Digital Garage), which is already advertising supported, are experimenting with a pay per tweet model.

Media.asia are reporting

According to local reports, the plan will allow audiences to view some text on all tweets but will charge a fee to unlock access to certain images, external URLs and text. Users willing to pay to view the tweets can do so via a monthly subscription model, for which they can use a credit card to pay. They can otherwise buy a prepaid ticket with a credit card or at a convenience store. Finally, audiences can choose a pay-per-tweet option, which is charged to credit card, convenience store top-up cards or carrier billing for Twitter-on-mobile users.

Reports note that the model is ideal for account holders who deliver real-time information; news and educational content; and include original photographs, video images and audio.

According to the reports, the amount charged to each user will vary according to the charging account holders and is likely to range from JPY100 to JPY1000 (US$1.16 to $11.60). Twitter will take 30 per cent cut of the transaction fees.

The two million or so Japanese Twitter users are used to paying for mobile content, and ads are anywhere from $US5.5k to $US33k on customized landing pages. Twitter Japan is more community oriented than other parts of the world which are all about ‘Me’. Japanese Twitter users often have different accounts for different communities.

The monetization models also show some ways the Western consumer Twitter model could move - Twitter Japan is seen as a test bed for monetizing ideas, although culturally Asian use models are dissimilar to Western usage.

This brings up some interesting comparisons with the current activity around enterprise micro blogging with products such as Yammer, the recently announced Chatter from Salesforce and even Cisco’s acquisition of Jabber the XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) company. ESME, born out of brilliant minds at SAP and ready for action over a year ago, is an example of being ahead of the curve.

The reality is you and I could knock up a Twitter clone in a few weeks - the technology isn’t that sophisticated, the kinks have been worked out by the open source community - but it’s the social graph which is the valuable part of course for the mass market. For Technologies read momentum, momentum, momentum to housing’s location location location …I’ll dig into enterprise implications in a future post…

Mariah Carey's Shocking Diva Demands Detailed

A British TV host says the rumors are true: Mariah Carey is a diva.

Kate Garraway of London's Good Morning Television tells Now! magazine that the singer, 40, made crazy demands when she was recently in the UK to promote her new film Precious on GMTV, according to London's Daily Mail.

Garraway claims that Carey arrived with an entourage to ensure she looked perfect on air -- and even required two people to lower her on to the morning show's sofa to keep from crushing her dress.

"I've heard a lot of rumors about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It turns out it's all true!" she said. "While Mariah was very nice, the amount of people she had in her entourage was hilarious. They outnumbered the entire GMTV crew."

Garraway adds that Carey even "brought her own toilet roll as well. Have you ever heard anything like it?"

A rep for Carey has dismissed Garraway's claims, calling them a "clear, gross exaggeration."

Carey has long been the target of diva rumors.

Just last week, reports surfaced that she insisted on being surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 white doves for her appearance at a Christmas lighting event in London. She also reportedly demanded to be showered in butterfly-shaped confetti during the end of her performance.

But Carey has claimed most of these reports are overblown.

"I am baffled, shocked and appalled when I am called a diva," she has said. "I've never done a diva-ish thing in my life."

Adam Lambert Jokes Being a PEOPLE Sexy Man Inspired Performance

Adam Lambert's performance at the American Music Awards – during which he locked lips with a male and simulated oral sex – was deemed too sexual for some. And just weeks before that, the American Idol finalist was featured in PEOPLE's Sexiest Men Alive issue. Coincidence? Maybe not: Lambert jokes that inclusion on the Sexy Man list may have inspired him.

"I don't know, maybe it went to my head and that's why I did the performance the way I did," the singer, 27, quipped to eTalk, a Canadian entertainment program.

Still, he said of the title, "It's very flattering. I don't think of myself like that, so that's crazy."

But does Lambert, who split from his longtime boyfriend, Drake LaBry, in October, think that being a Sexy Man will help him get more dates?

"No," he told eTalk, laughing. "I don't really have much of a social life right now."

LG Arena Max (LU9400) coming soon?

LG Arena KM900 is one of this year’s most successful LG touchscreen phones – as of August, it’s sold in more than 1 million units – and it looks like the world’s third largest handset maker is readying a successor of it.

A so-called LG Arena Max LU9400 has recently received a Wi-Fi Interoperability Certificate, so I assume that this phone will be some sort of Arena with better features.

Maybe it will have a larger display (let’s say, 3.5 inches) and a better camera (8MP)?

Or maybe this LG Arena Max will be a smartphone? Perhaps with Android, like the GW620?

Adamo XPS hands-on impressions

You might've seen the Adamo XPS cameo on this month's Engadget Show, or viewed our unboxing, but in case you're averse to the long form, really want to dive deep, or perhaps just use some other trite phrase to describe yourself, we've done an in-depth video hands-on with the world's slimmest laptop. The verdict? Well, it's a well-made machine with a significant issue of a price to performance imbalance. Check out the video after the break to see if all this sexiness can win you over.

Samsung bada SDK unveil on December 8th

Samsung have confirmed the launch of their new bada mobile app platform SDK. According to an invitation that went out today, the company will detail bada at an event in London on December 8th; there, Samsung are expected to give further details on how their cross-platform software environment will work for developers and devices.

The London event will be led by Dr. Hosco Lee, EVP and head of the Media Solution Center (MSC) at Samsung Electronics, and is tipped to be followed by a similar launch in San Francisco. As for bada itself, it’s believed to be a software development environment that will allow new software to run on Samsung devices – and potentially other manufacturers’ phones – regardless of the underlying OS.

If Samsung can sufficiently differentiate it from other platforms then they may be able to bring developers on board, especially if bada offers a streamlined way to get apps onto devices. However if it’s merely a new abstraction of the company’s own, proprietary OS, then they face a far tougher challenge.

SS501 for goodbye stages this week, ending promotions for ‘Rebirth’ album

SS501 will end their promotions for their ‘Rebirth’ album with broadcast appearances this week.

This album, released by the group after 1 years and 7 months, has been doing well on charts with its title song ‘Love Like This’ going up to the #1 spots on music charts and also winning the #1 on K Chart on KBS Music Bank.

The album was actually released later than planned due to fraud cases of plagiarised songs given for their title song during the preparation of the album. Hence it was an album with great meaning to the group since they have went through a tough process for it, and it is also long awaited by Korean fans. But it was paid off since the album received great responses from fans and it sold over 100K copies.

SS501 will be doing some overseas promotions after ending their domestic promotions. They are very well received in the Asian region during their recent Asian tour in countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China etc.

They will be performing on KBS Music Bank, MBC Music Core and SBS Inkigayo this week for their goodbye stage. And they will also be appearing next month on the 5th for a special episode of MBC Music Core in JeJu Island.

Huang Xiao Ming acts in Ip Man 2: All men should practice martial arts

On the night of November 25th, Huang Xiao Ming entertained Fan Bing Bing and some friends, colleagues, and staff members at the Ningbo Marriott Hotel where he was staying. It turns out that it was to celebrate his own birthday. Huang Xiao Ming, currently acting in Ip Man 2, said, "All men should practice martial arts."

All men should practice martial arts

According to Ningbo Net reports, Huang Xiao Ming told reporters, "Filming for idol drama, Summer's Desire ????, has been completed. I am presently shooting Ip Man 2 directed by Wilson Yip. I act as the eldest disciple of Yip Man, Wong Chun. Because there are many fight scenes in the movie, I have learned a lot of martial arts from Donnie Yen." When reporters asked whether he had any thoughts after learning martial arts, Huang Xiao Ming thought about it for a bit and answered, "I think that all men should practice martial arts."

Although he has constantly been developing in the movies and television field, when he displayed his singing abilities, Huang Xiao Ming received much praise. At this year's Global Chinese Songs ceremony, Huang Xiao Ming also won the Best All-round Artiste Award. Facing this honor, Huang Xiao Ming said, "I live up to its name."

Birthday feast is Cantonese Cuisine

According to insiders, Huang Xiao Ming booked dishes for two tables at the Marriot Hotel. One table was entirely staff while the other composed of his friends and colleagues. Each table held about 20 people. There were only 10 warm dishes, no cold dishes and hors d'ouvres. Reporters noticed that these 10 warm dishes were all Cantonese dishes including Gong Fu soup ???, a suckling pig ???, and a golden soup ?????. Moreover, the vegetables were all freshly flown in from Guangdong; the dimsum were also Cantonese.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 gets video playtime with HD2, Omnia II, iPhone 3GS

There’s no real new technical data in this latest video of Sony Ericsson’s unreleased XPERIA X10, but it does give us a chance to see the Android smartphone cavorting with HTC’s HD2, Samsung’s Omnia II and that perennial favorite, the iPhone 3GS. Size-wise, if you thought the HD2 was too big then you should probably cancel your XPERIA X10 preorder, as the two look pretty darn similar; in fact, as the video after the cut shows, the X10 is actually a little chubbier than HTC’s WinMo finest.

In comparison, the iPhone 3GS looks pretty darn small, being both shorter and slimmer than the X10. The benefit of the Android handset, of course, is that you get a significantly larger display – 4-inches running at 480 x 854 resolution – and the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset under the hood.

We’re still waiting to hear exactly when the XPERIA X10 will be on shelves, with Sony Ericsson first confirming February 2010 and then backtracking to merely Q1 of next year. Our prediction is a full launch at Mobile World Congress in February; we’ll be at the show, so expect all the details then.

Oscar : This Isn't It for Michael Jackson, Others Not So Lucky

It's never too early to be out of the hunt.

We've known since forever, for instance, that Michael Jackson's This Is It wouldn't make Oscar's short list for documentary features, because the concert movie simply wasn't released by the Aug. 31 cutoff date.

But This Is It did have viable options: Sony could wait for next year and then submit the film as a doc, or the studio could push for it this year in the non-doc categories. (Forget about Original Song, though—the film didn't have any. Original songs, that is.)

Sony went the latter route. And while even director Kenny Ortega has called Oscar nominations "wishful thinking," it's not crazy thinking to imagine the critically praised hit getting serious consideration. (On the Los Angeles Times' site, one Oscar voter even predicted a Best Picture nod.)

Here's a quick look at other films and stars who aren't as lucky as This Is It—their best shot for Oscar-night glory has already been shot down:

• Michael Moore. His latest, Capitalism: A Love Story, arguably was the highest-profile doc to not make the round of 15. Did Moore care? Don't know. The decision didn't prompt one of his mass emails, or even a tweet.

• Mike Tyson. Tyson, director James Toback's compelling look at the boxer, likewise didn't make the doc cut. Did Tyson care? Don't know, but he's presumably got bigger problems—plus, Toback cared enough for both of them to vent to the New York Times about the Academy's "extortion" process.

• G-Force. The guinea-pig adventure was the highest-grossing CGI-y flick to not be submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature category. The movie, which featured real-live people alongside its CGI critters, was believed to have enough animation to qualify as an animated film. (But maybe it didn't? While Fox submitted the upcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, starring Jason Lee and other humans, the L.A. Times points out that the studio submitted the original Alvin and the Chipmunks, too, only to have the comedy ultimately ruled ineligible.)

• Craig Ferguson. When it became official that Hugh Jackman wasn't returning as Oscar host, there was hope by the cult-fave's following that their man would get the call. Vegas didn't think so; Academy producers didn't bite; Ferguson got to join the biggest club in town—people not named Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. (This item could've just as easily been titled Neil Patrick Harris, Ricky Gervais or Name Your Emcee Here.)

• Former Oscar winners. How many people does it take to present a trophy? At this past spring's ceremony, the answer was five, at least in the acting categories. Hope you enjoyed the experiment. The show's new producers say they're not doing it at next year's show, a move which should free up a number of old-timers on Oscar night. Draw up your party guest list accordingly.

Modern Warfare 2 DLC still planned for spring 2010

If tentative plans hold together, expect the first bit of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC -- an Xbox 360 timed exclusive -- to hit at some point in Spring 2010.

Infinity Ward’s community man, Robert Bowling, tweeted as much on November 25th: “DLC is planned for the wonderfully vague timeframe of Spring,” Bowling said in reply to a fan. He added, “I’ll let you know when we know it’ll be done.”

The tweet shores up a previous report of a Spring 2010 launch date, which was brought to us courtesy of a promotional pack of MW2-themed Monster Energy drinks. Yes. Energy drinks with previously unannounced release windows printed on them. God bless, America.

Should Nokia Abandon Symbian S60 for Maemo Linux?

Nokia has a problem: it is both the largest handset vendor in the world, by a significant margin, and the largest smartphone vendor in the world – again, by a significant margin. Yet it has never managed to crack the U.S. smartphone market, and it has begun losing market share even in its European strongholds, primarily to Apple, though RIM, Samsung, and HTC are also threats. Nokia admits that it was caught sleeping while Apple first redefined the mobile user experience with the iPhone, and then again when Apple reenergized app development with the App Store. Nokia’s initial response has been lackluster: adapting its existing Symbian S60 OS to support touch, applying that to a few phones (the 5800 and the N97), and stumbling in its initial launch of the Ovi Store.

Despite shortcomings in Symbian S60 (where apps and settings are located appears to have been chosen at random) and a wildly inconsistent touch experience, the 5800 and N97 have sold over 10 million units. Nokia has sold well over 100 million Symbian S60 phones overall, which puts it in a classic case of what Clayton Christensen calls the Innovator’s Dilemma: Nokia’s existing customers are happy with S60, so Nokia has resisted cannibalizing it. However, the iPhone may have launched without 3G or corporate email, but Apple keeps adding features with each new version, so when S60 users are ready to buy a new phone, they are increasingly picking one from Apple or one of Apple’s competitors. (It is also worth noting that arguments against cannibalizing S60 can only be made for Europe – in the U.S., S60 has never had any traction whatsoever.)

The solution to the Innovator’s Dilemma is to fund skunkworks development or a spin-off that attacks the new technology on its own terms. While initially planned as a way to get Nokia’s feet wet in open source software, Nokia does have another OS, Maemo Linux, that it has been quietly using for its line of Internet tablets (770, N800, and N810). At Nokia World in early September, Nokia announced Maemo 5 and the N900, the first Maemo phone. When I first saw Maemo 5 demonstrated just ahead of Nokia World, my first reaction was to question why Nokia would limit Maemo to pricey, high end devices. After all, S60 isn’t competitive, and Maemo looks really, really cool. Why not just kill S60 and switch to Maemo?

After playing with a production N900 for the past couple of weeks, I have discovered the answer: Maemo is nowhere near ready for mainstream consumers.

There was reason for my initial optimism: the OS has power to spare; it is basically a desktop Linux system in a tiny package. Maemo can handle multiple live apps minimized to little cards (similar to Palm’s webOS); the browser is unadulterated Mozilla code and includes support for a full implementation of Flash 9. The N900 has a high resolution 800×480 screen, TI OMAP3 (Cortex A8) processor, 32 GB flash storage plus an empty microSD card slot, forward facing VGA camera, and 5 MP camera on the rear with dual LED flashes and Carl Zeiss branding. There is a sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, and, for watching media, a pull out kickstand. The N900 has WiFi, quadband GSM and Triband HSPA 900/1700/2100, making it perfect for T-Mobile’s 3G network in the U.S.

Unfortunately, the whole is much less than the sum of its parts. The user interface is maddeningly inconsistent and opaque, and while you can learn to live with its quirks after a while, why should you have to? Nearly every mobile OS does a better job of making it easy to navigate; the iPhone is the easiest (at the expense of efficiency) and Palm’s webOS is the most elegant. Nokia needs to add hard buttons or dedicated screen real estate for navigating and launching options menus. For example, touching the top left corner is usually the “go back” area. Except when touching the blank space in between app tiles backs you out. Except when you’re in a web browser, and a link is occupying the top left, then there’s really no way to get back at all without first minimizing the view. The resistive touchscreen is another problem – even when you push in the right spot, it doesn’t always register. I find myself repeatedly pulling out the stylus, and that should simply never happen on a modern smartphone.

There are no SEND or END keys (Motorola’s DROID has this problem, too), and there is no permanent place for the soft keys – depending where you are in the UI, it can be awfully hard just to find the dialer. This is the first phone I have used in a while where making a phone call isn’t just a secondary use case, but is barely a use case at all.

Web browsing is good, though navigating around a web page is not as smooth as Apple’s Safari. Still, this is one area where the N900 can do things no other phone on the market can do, at least until Adobe rolls out Flash 10 support broadly next year. YouTube videos play smoothly, and navigating around Flash-heavy sites is possible. (Theoretically, you should even be able to watch Hulu on the N900. Practically, it doesn’t work, even over WiFi – the video loads, slowly, then… stops.)

While I encountered system messages that would terrify non-technical users (do you want to update your phone’s SSL sockets? Who knows?), the N900 is better than previous Maemo Linux devices. For example, downloading and installing applications is a simple process now. But there aren’t that many apps yet, and Nokia’s Ovi Store still has a “Coming Soon” banner. Nokia is providing for cross platform (Symbian and Maemo) development with upcoming versions of its QT tools, but Nokia’s focus with developers is still on Symbian.

This leaves Nokia with some tortured market positioning: Nokia told me it is firmly committed to Symbian as its smartphone platform of choice, while Maemo will be relegated to high end devices and aimed at consumers who want more of a computer and less of a phone. The latter description fits every iPhone, Android, and webOS user (and those handsets start at just $100 after carrier subsidies). Nokia needs something better than S60 with touch. Maemo Linux could be that thing, but it isn’t yet, and it doesn’t look like Nokia really wants it to succeed broadly.

Preparations for Jaebeom’s return well underway?

It's nearing 3 months since the Jaebeom scandal broke out, but it's been reported that preparations of the leader's return are well underway. Now this is not confirming his return but what it is saying is that preparations for his possible return are going on as we speak, evidenced through JYP's constant cryptic marketing.

But first off we have to investigate all aspects of the past, present, and future situations.

The real reason JYP let Jaebeom leave

JYP, this once unanimously respected man, praised for his music and his producing of hit groups Wonder Girls, 2PM and 2AM has been under fire these past couple months over the whole Jaebeom scandal. One thing netizens and Hottest fans are angry about is the fact that JYP let Jaebeom go. Yes, it was the former leader's own wish to return to Seattle but because he was in a legally binding contract with JYP, he couldn't exactly pack his bags and leave. So why did JYP give the green light?

The man is considered a genius among the many in the Korean music industry not just for his music but also for his business skills. JYP is no ordinary CEO of a company who makes decisions right off the bat. He looks at the situation and broadens his view, considering all aspects and possibilities in his choices and decisions. Jaebeom's words from his trainee days were yes, not appropriate but it wasn't something so big that he should leave 2PM. However, JYP knew that Korea was an overly proud country and that they did not tolerate those who mocked and insulted their country and ego. With this in mind, when the request for his leave came up, he approved it with Jaebeom's well being in mind. He knew that Jaebeom would become public enemy #1 if he had remained in Korea, and so to preserve his reputation and to prevent it from being hurt any further, he let 2PM become 6.

JYP has already prepared for Jaebeom's return

Preparations began when Jaebeom left for Seattle. Every single move JYP made was to benefit Jaebeom and to possibly open a path for him to return to an entire country of furious Koreans. JYP kept his silence on the matter even when the fans were demanding answers. He did release an official statement but he didn't exactly side with Jaebeom or the country, as to not show favoritism and anger any loyal fans or the furious Koreans.

But change has begun to show when on the November 12th episode of 'Golden Fishery', JYP commented on the Jaebeom scandal. Although they were there to talk mainly about the Wonder Girls U.S. debut, JYP dived into the matter deeper than he had previously done saying, "If Jaebeom is to return as an artist, he will return as 2PM. The 7 members love each other and if he was to return, it will be with the group and not solo."

2PM members also prepare for Jaebeom's return

Not only JYP but the group itself has also begun their own preparation for his return.

When 2PM won the Best Artist of the Year Award at MAMA, they shed tears on stage saying, "Winning such a big award is an honor. Jaebeom hyung...We wish to share this glory with our leader." This was a moment where the group expressed their hard teamwork and their true feelings for their leader.

Such a statement could have only been said because the group and their company were on the same wavelength. If JYP had any negative or disapproving feelings towards Jaebeom's return or if there was no possibility of it, he would have never allowed that to be said.

For the past two months the group has said nothing on the matter and has even been pulled out of shows and MC gigs. But with the recent wave of comments from the group and the boss himself, it's all pointing to a possible return. JYP allowed the fans to express their outrage and sorrow over the course of 3 months and for the country of Korea to settle down, thus slowly opening up a path for Jaebeom.

In fact, during this time many Korean studies have shown that they had overreacted. Now that the fans have settled down a bit, JYP is sparking up the interest in Jaebeom again, thus raising the question: Is Jaebeom coming back? Korean reports are saying that the possibility of his comeback are now higher than ever and that fans can feel a little more at ease.

iPhone 3GS Supreme is diamond encrusted, spectacularly expensive

Seeing as how the iPhone's exclusivity status has been slipping, it was inevitable that the bourgeoisie would invent a new way to distinguish themselves from the lowly masses. Enter a designer by the name of Stuart Hughes, already expertly familiar with slapping precious metals onto slightly less precious mobile phones. He classes up a 3GS handset with a 22 carat solid gold body, which he then sprinkles with no less than 190 diamonds. And just to make sure none of the riff raff can get their hands on it, this creation is priced at £1.92 million ($3.2 million), which places it precisely £1.92 million outside our budget. Completing the, erm, value proposition is a storage chest cut from a single block of granite, which you may peep after the break.

Explosive " War between men and women" (Ariel Lin, Deniso Ho and David Wang)

Edward Lam's new play will begin next month in Dong Yi

Hong Kong Genious Edward Lam new play "War and Peace between Men and Women" will start in Dong Yi from the 29th to the 31th of December.

Yesterday(23rd), Edward Lam and all the cast and crew came to Bei Jing for a press conference, talking about his first comical play showing in Mainland, he stated : "It's a fairytale full of sadness"

Hong Kong Premiere gathered good reviews

"War and Peace between Men and Women" premiered in Hong Kong last month, the tickets solding off just 50 minutes after the sale opening.
The producers had no choice but add two more dates on the 14th and 15th afternoons, and on both days, there were still no empty seats !

Because the ending was very surprising, it made the audience burst in tears : "The dialogues were so accurate, as if saying out loud the words people want to say but are afraid to. It seems that everyone has some problems, but they just can't face them."
The three main leads David Wang, Ariel Lin and Denise Ho moreover cried at each representation.

"In this world, there is no real man because all women became men ?"
"Women became stronger and stronger because they can't rely on men to protect them ?"
"Men are really simple, why do you think we are complex ?"
If "Design for Living" has Sylvia Chang heavy style, then this play funny style is very "Edward Lam" !
After its Hong Kong Premiere, the issues it had displayed became the audience's hot topic on the net.

Only had the script one week before the representation

The theme between men and women can be done over and over again, but for Edward Lam who made so many stories about both sexes, his accuracy this time, gained people's empathy, this achievement is all thanks to the script being rewritten once and once again.

It's hard for people to imagine how the cast only got the script one week before the premiere : this is all due the the director and the scriptwriter's perfectionism.
Now that Ariel Lin thinks about it again, she still is scared, frowning : "It's inimaginable how we could memorise it ! I was a little better, but Denise and David's had very long lines, they are so good ! "
So after the cast performed in 6 representations in 4days, Edward Lam very moved, came on stage repeating very agitatedly, "it's a miracle !"

Ariel Lin perfect transformation

""War and Peace between Men and Women" " 's background is TV shows which Edward is very familiar with, Denise Ho and David Wang are 2 TV show's hosts who do everything they can to gain ratings, but what they can't imagine is that the appearance of Ariel Lin who is between "Angel and Devil" will change the war's rules making the ending unpredictable.

Taiwanese actor David Wang is having a big role for the first time, he has many interactions with Ariel and Denise, not only having long lines, but also showing off his dancing skills.
Moreover, about the first scene where the wife asks her husband to put 8 computers and using fast connection to play online games, David says : "The director used my story ! I let my wife install 8 computers with fast internet connection, in the story, 85% was my real self !"

Echoing to David superb performance was the two female leads sexy appearance, surprising many people. Denise Ho who had been know for her androgynity, and Ariel being a "good girl" representative, had showed off their bodies, wearing sexy outfits, dresses, Qi Pao, glitter and 10cm high heels in Edward's play.
Those styles we seldom saw them sporting, this time Denise and Ariel wore them all at once ! Denise stated : "Because I seldom wear dresses ! Recently, for the play, if it was not low cut cleavage, then it was cut really high on the legs ! I got used to it !" She sees her cooperation with Ariel as a chemical reaction, the representations as a holiday, really having fun, "I was very moved, couldn't help but cry at every scene."

Ariel the "TV Drama Queen" who had been very succesful in Idol dramas, had a perfect transformation with this play. Reuniting grace, nobility, maturity, fashion, beauty, sexyness and cuteness all at once.
Making fans even say : "Before, I only found her cute, after this time, I saw her gentle side. Her sexiness was very natural and genuine."

Big Bang and TVXQ receive the Gold Artist Award

On the Best Hit Song Awards 2009 aired through Japan TV on the 26th, two of Korea's favorite male idol groups received the Gold Artist Award. They were none other than Big Bang and TVXQ.

This has actually been the second time for the senior TVXQ boys to claim this glorifying title, whereas it's a first for the rookie Big Bang boys who only debuted in Japan five months ago.

As many already know, TVXQ is still twisted in a dispute with SM Entertainment regarding their unfair contracts. Due to this reason, the special stage for this event was extra special for the fans who have waited a long time to see the five boys come together as one again. U-Know Yunho expressed during rehearsal, "I really want to go up on stage. I am very happy to be awarded the Gold Artist Award."

Motorola MILESTONE Expansys preorder confirms December 7th ship date

It looks like the tipped release date for the Motorola MILESTONE in the UK really is December 7th, as Expansys are advertising that the European version of the Verizon DROID will arrive in eight working days from now. That tallies with the preorder listing spotted earlier this week, though the Expansys price is £10 higher at £449.99 ($743).

Your money gets you a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen running at 854 x 480, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel autofocus camera and Android 2.0; there’s also WiFi b/g, Bluetooth and HSDPA/HSUPA. Unfortunately while the MILESTONE has both GPS/A-GPS and a digital compass, there’s no Google Maps Navigation beta since that is still US-only; instead you get Motorola’s own MotoNav app.

There’s still no sign of the MILESTONE on either the Vodafone UK or O2 UK sites, despite the handset already being up for sale with the two carrier’s Germany counterparts. Interestingly, the Expansys listing claims to be the “exclusive” supplier of the unlocked MILESTONE in the UK.

Torrent Giant Mininova Forced to Go Legit

Mininova, one of the largest peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing sites next to The Pirate Bay, has now removed most of its links to copyrighted content. The site complied with a Dutch court ruling from August. Mininova has said it is considering appealing that ruling.

Netherlands-based Mininova has risen in recent months as one of the most popular torrent sites on the Internet, alongside The Pirate Bay, which is still maintaining a strong presence despite fines and threats to close down the site. But Mininova had to comply with a court ruling from three months ago, which ordered the site to remove all the links to illegal content.

Removing all illegal torrents from Mininova would mainly leave the site without content. Mininova used to link to several popular categories of copyrighted files, such as TV rips of U.S. prime-time shows (Heroes, Stargate Universe, Fringe, etc.) and the latest music releases from popular artists (Jay Z, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, etc.).

Mininova also used to be visited by over five million users daily, but only legal content will be available from now on through the site's Content Distribution service. This will probably turn away most of the visitors to more obscure torrent sites, in search for popular content.

The eradication of torrent sites?

Due to declining sales, the music and movie giants have been targeting large illegal file sharing hotspots on the Internet. Mininova's demise is only the latest move in what it looks like an attempt to eradicate torrent sites. The most popular case so far has been The Pirate Bay, which stirred a round of controversy around the world back in April.

Since then, we have seen yet another torrent site going under the radar, Demonoid, due to alleged hardware problems. Now, Mininova is just the latest illegal torrents site to fall under the axe of authorities.

However, it is likely that the illegal content that made sites such as Mininova popular will find another home very soon. There are already other up and coming sites serving such content (BTjunkie, isoHunt), next to The Pirate Bay, which despite court orders, still keeps its online presence going.
