RIM has just released another “sneak peek” video for its yet-to-be-released BlackBerry 6. The video demos the OS floating in space, rather than on a device, but hey…it’s better than nothing. We’re interested to know what you think. So on the double; hit the jump, watch the video, and sound off.

Google is following in Nokia's footsteps today by offering its users a simple-to-use DIY app maker. Employing a design scheme that relies on visual blocks rather than oodles of arcane code, the App Inventor -- still in Beta, of course -- has functions for "just about anything" you can do with an Android handset, including access to GPS and phone functionality. All that's really missing is the raw creative talent, which we're sure you'll be happy to provide. Hit the source link to get involved or skip past the break for an educational video.

Today, Sprint announced it has expanded its 4G coverage in seven new metropolitan markets: Rochester (N.Y.), Syracuse (N.Y.), Merced (California), Visalia (California), Eugene (Oregon), Tri-Cities (Washington), and Yakima (Washington).
Speaking of 4G, Sprint’s first 4G smartphone, the HTC EVO 4G, is now available in white at Best Buy (for $199.99 on contract) – you can buy it online here. That’s really good news for those in need of an EVO, since the black version is still sold out, both at Sprint and Best Buy.
Looks like Edward Norton isn't so incredible after all.
Marvel Studios confirms that it's searching for a new actor to play Dr. Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk in Joss Whedon's highly-anticipated summer 2012 blockbuster The Avengers. Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth have already joined the cast.
Norton starred as the hot-headed Hulk in the studio's 2008 hit The Incredible Hulk and was expected to reprise the role for the star-studded superhero flick.
What's most incredible, perhaps, is the studio's reason for giving Norton the boot.

T-Mobile has cut the price of the Garminfone by $70, lowering the handset to $129.99 with a two year agreement. This price cut comes hot on the heels of a series of contradictory rumors regarding the demand for the GPS-centric device. Earlier this week, analyst Yair Reiner calculated that T-Mobile has sold a paltry 20,000 Garminfones since the phone launched in June. Asustek refuted that number with a claim that the handset was shipping as expected and consumer demand was positive. Until actual sales figures are released, we will be left to speculate whether this price drop is part of a natural cycle of retail markdowns or the early signs of an impending fire sale.

Leehom Wang

Back in 2008, Leehom Wang brought us his innermost thoughts through his "Heart Beat" album. At the end of this month, on the 30th, Leehom will be returning to his musical roots with a brand new album, "十八般武艺" (Roughly translates to: Eighteen Types of Martial Arts). However, before that, he will be releasing the MV of the album's title song, "柴米油鹽醬醋茶," (Idiom roughly meaning: Daily Necessities) for broadcast onto 12 online sites, including Youtube and Facebook, on the 12th. For this song, he collaborated with Vivian Hsu to paint a picture of simple and ordinary happiness.
Having dabbled as a movie director, Leehom placed even higher demands on the quality of the MV. Besides spending NT$2,000,000, hiring 30 staff members, renting professional movie cameras, and using 35mm film for shooting, he also personally demonstrated how to walk into place and speak the lines. In one kitchen scene, "Director Wang" personally went into battle and picked up the knife and saucepan, bringing out the rare sight of him at home.

Looks like more than HTC's description was erroneous yesterday afternoon -- we've just confirmed that the HTC Sync desktop client for the AT&T Aria allows users to install third-party apps on non-rooted devices, just as promised. We ran some quick tests, and while it doesn't actually enable anything on the handset end, it most certainly does allow those of you with Windows PCs (or VMware) to sideload APKs like Swype over USB with a simple drag-and-drop maneuver. Given how quickly the company sought to correct our original post on the subject, we'd expect HTC will be issuing a rather different version of the software soon, so hit up that source link, pound in your serial number, grab the EXE, and get while the getting's good.

To really hear her live singing voice, netizens removed the MR of Son Dambi’s Queen comeback stage on Music Bank.
After taking a listen, netizens were very disappointed with what they heard. They commented,
“I’m getting sick of the auto tune.”
“Son Dambi GG (give up game)”
“Did she even practice?”
“She’s just pretty and that’s it.”
“Aren’t all singers like this now?”
It seems like Son Dambi is not off to a great start. First, her music video gets hit with plagiarism accusations and now this.

"Despicable Me," a new family cartoon featuring the voice of Steve Carell, easily took the top spot at the weekend box office in North America on Sunday, virtually assuring Universal Pictures of a lucrative franchise with its first foray into 3D animation.
The film earned an estimated $60.1 million across the United States and Canada during the three days beginning Friday, the General Electric Co. unit said, doubling pre-opening forecasts.
It was produced for about $69 million by former 20th Century Fox animation chief Chris Meledandri's new company, Illumination Entertainment, which has an exclusive financing and distribution deal with Universal.
