'I thought I was wearing grey': Iron Man co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson both opt for grey at photocall

As the 'new girl' in the Iron Man movies, Scarlett Johansson must have spent hours choosing the right outfit to wear for her first cast photocall.

So it must have been a tad embarrassing for the actress at the Iron Man 2 photocall last night as her co-star Gwyneth Paltrow also opted for the same shade of dress.

The two women wore similar fitted, knee-length grey dresses, wore their blonde hair loose and nude-coloured lipstick.

Kristin Cavallari Was Surprised by Heidi's Post-Surgery Body

Kristin Cavallari was surprised that Heidi Montag decided to drastically alter her body by going under the knife 10 times in just one day in November. (Montag showed off her bikini bod in public for the first time two weeks ago.)

But Cavallari doesn't criticize her Hills co-star, 23.

"It's not my body," she told UsMagazine.com at the Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Saturday. "If she's happy, that's all that matters."

One thing she's not surprised about: Montag and Spencer Pratt's diva behavior. Montag recently showed up to a Hills photoshoot with six bodyguards and refused to participate in a cast shot.

"Nothing shocks me about them anymore," said Cavallari, 23, who bared her own bikini bod Saturday, covering up slightly with a midriff-baring, sheer black top. "It's one thing after another."

What's next for her now that The Hills is wrapping up after the sixth season (premiering April 27)?

Gizmodo's iPhone Leak: "We haven't been contacted by law enforcement"

The fat might be hitting the digital pan for Gizmodo, the popular online tech blog that leaked a full set of photos, videos, and descriptions for Apple's rumored fourth-generation iPhone. CNET reported Friday that California authorities are investigating the matter to decide whether Gizmodo's $5,000 purchase of the prototype phone from its source violates California criminal law.

Gizmodo hasn't revealed the seller, the undisclosed patron that found the prototype iPhone left in a Redwood City, CA bar by a 27-year-old Apple engineer.

The investigation was launched after Apple spoke with Santa Clara county police, and Fox News reports that it will likely be under the jurisdiction of the district attorney's office computer crime task force. Nothing has happened yet, however: "We haven't been contacted by law enforcement," said Gaby Darbyshire, chief operating officer of Gizmodo's parent company, Gawker Media, in an interview with Businessweek.

Android 2.2 (Froyo) features

It sounds like a beta version of Android 2.2 (Froyo) is out in the wild for testing — and it has some interesting features that I’m sure Android users will find interesting. The new version of the operating system will be available on the Nexus One, and quite possibly Verizon phones in late May — my guess will be on the same day as Google I/O (May 19).

This version of Android will feature lots of bug fixes, as well as some great additions. The new features will include:

JIT Compiler
This is huge. With JIT enabled (Just-in-time compilation), applications will run a lot faster — like 3x faster. In addition to speed improvements, it has a positive effect on battery life. This feature is all but confirmed by the session list at Google I/O.

Automatic App Updates

For both application developers, and users, this feature will make a big difference. As a developer, you want your entire user base to be on the latest version of your software if possible — it gives you a tighter grip on the user experience, and makes supporting your software a bit easier.

Rainie and Jerry hugs and become inseparable

Tonight, Rainie Yang finally had 10 year dream come true, reaching the Taipei Arena for her own concert and also invited Jerry Yan as special guest. The good relationship of the two were playing hug hug on stage as if about to pretend to kiss. However, the two actually got stuck together, having the costume stylist to come up on stage to release the tangled two.

To open up the introverted Jerry, Rainie especially picked a Taiwanese duet "愛情限時批", which opened Jerry up a bit, the two were holding hands on the heart shaped stage singing happily together.

After the duet, both Rainie and Jerry kept praising each other. Jerry says, "Rainie is so cute it makes me very nervous." Rainie also shouted, "Jerry's hand feels very good to be holding" and her hand went directly towards Jerry's chest proving what she had previously told the media about taking advantage (tofu) of Jerry.

Xiah Junsu to go solo in Japan with Intoxication

Amidst the silence the five boys of TVXQ are in at the moment, one member has decided to step up to the stage again. Xiah Junsu will now be going solo in Japan with a self-written ballad track titled Intoxication.

On the 23rd, Japan’s official website of TVXQ announced that Xiah Junsu has recently finished shooting for his music video produced by MTV Japan. The MV will be broadcasted four times in total, starting from mid May until the end of the month.

According to the webpage, Intoxication is medium-tempoed ballad song that Xiah Junsu himself has written. The album is scheduled to drop at the end of May, officially launching his solo activities in Japan.

Viter Fan apologizes, Cyndi Wang still believes in true love

Those cherished memories of one’s youthful past have all been marred by the ex-boyfriend. He used the most despicable way to reveal unnecessary details about their relationship that has long past. After Cyndi Wang broke down, she left a message on her Facebook to express her feelings about the current situation: “As imperfect as that love is, I would never want to end it with regret.”

Cyndi also stated that she hopes that she will experience the right kind of love in the future. Viter Fan, the ex-boyfriend, has already publicly apologized for his statements. However, the anti-fan movement against him has already exploded. They want him to leave the entertainment circle.

Cyndi Wang was disappointed. She thought that she would be able to avoid the bad moments of a relationship and just remember the beautiful things that happened instead. But the good and bad parts of love don’t just disappear. One is unable to remember just the good parts: “If that one romance can let you learn so much from it, perhaps it’s not just lost memories.”

Managers deny that Elva Hsiao secretly met Nick Chou to see Lady Gaga

Last week, Elva Hsiao and Nick Chou met secretly in Japan. Were they meeting to watch Lady Gaga together? Rumors about the two’s relationship have spread before.

On the 22nd, Nick Chou had a photoshoot schedule. He also revealed that he had gone to watch Lady Gaga’s concert. Coincidentally, Elva Hsiao also went to the same concert. However, both of their managers have denied this occurrence. Manager Jiang said: “A lot of artistes went to see Lady Gaga. This kind of connection is too outrageous.”

'Dragon' top over 'The Back-Up Plan' and 'The Losers'

You know you’ve fallen out of A-list territory when your new release can’t beat a 5-week old animated movie about dragons. But such is the case for Jennifer Lopez and her romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. The PG-13 comedy about a single mom who finds love after starting a family on her own likely won the top spot Friday night with an estimated $4 million. But prognosticators believe that lead won’t last through the weekend. Most put the Alan Poul-directed film finishing around $12 million for the three-day frame, while Dreamworks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon will earn around $16 million based on its Friday take of $3.7 million. Likely to hold the lead with a scant 16% drop, Dragon is now on track to top $180 million by the end of the weekend.

Early results show Date Night nabbing the third spot with a $10 million take for the three-day period. The Steve Carell, Tina Fey-laugher only fell 40% last evening, a drop that will likely result in the PG-13 comedy grossing a total of $63 million by the end of the weekend.

Lindsay Lohan Dropped From Movie

More bad news for Lindsay Lohan: According to TMZ, Lohan has been dropped from her latest film, 'The Other Side.'

The reason: Sources close to the project, which stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette, claim that people financing the film deemed her not "bankable."

Director David Michaels had only this to say: "Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we'll soon be announcing a replacement," he told TMZ.

Lohan was cast in the film May, 2009, and was to play a grad student who spends the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island. Her last major film role was the 2007 bomb 'I Know Who Killed Me,' for which she received three Razzies.

How The iPad Will Change The iPhone Game Industry

Apple is hailing the iPad as a “magical” and “revolutionary” device. Perhaps, but the feature set accompanying the first version leaves many of us skeptical of that claim. We’ve all seen tablets before and we’re already seeing similar ones coming out soon with better specs. What we need to consider more than the device itself are the effects its release will have on the market.

The iPad could potentially usher in a new set of casual users who may not already be iPhone or iPod Touch owners. This is good for business across the board, but the area that may be impacted the greatest is the iPhone gaming industry.

The current iPhone and iPod touch gaming landscape consists of pick-up-and-play micro games, watered down console ports, and some in-between titles. It’s hard to consider the iPhone a true gaming platform. The lack of physical buttons, coupled with the scarcity of deep, quality titles, may prevent the iPhone from ever becoming a true competitor to the Nintendo DS or Sony PSP. Unfortunately, there are even more issues that further intensify this problem.

The first is price point. Given the average game is sold for $.99 and the most expensive are $9.99, App Store prices differ wildly from other game markets. Even the downloadable casual games industry spans $10 – $20 on average. Think about this. Many of these are the same games that get ported to the iPhone. Not only are the games the same, but the target demographics as well. So how did this happen? The fault lies with developers and consumers alike.

What Are These Camera-fied iPod Touch "Prototypes" Doing On eBay?

Or, to precise, what were these apparent test devices doing on eBay, before they were unceremoniously yanked? And are they real?

Speaking to the second question, the answer is a firm probably. Here's the evidence:

• The device is running the iPhone OS diagnostic/test software, similar to what's seen here.
• It appears to function, though there's no proof that the camera works
• It bears "DVT" markings, which are known to mean "design verification test," and be plastered on early prototype hardware
• It look feels right—the markings are clean, the camera installation is convincing, and Apple's inclusion of a camera in the last iPod Nano implies that they're keen to put cameras in as many places as possible. And hell, they've even got a patent for an iPod Touch with a camera. It's about time, really.

Lee Hyori accused of plagiarizing?

We’ve received multiple tips on this potential issue but have yet to see it in the Korean news, however if true the ramifications are potentially pretty severe.

As many of you know, Lee Hyori released her long awaited comeback with H-Logic on April 13 and it seems some of the tracks are being accused of plagiarism.

Bret Michaels Told Fans He Was 'Not 100%'

Bret Michaels confessed to fans that he was not feeling "100%" the day before he suffered a massive brain hemorrhage.

"I'm feeling right about in the middle right now on a scale of 1 to 10," Michaels, who had undergone an emergency appendectomy on April 12, wrote on his Fancast blog. "I'm not 100% yet ... I have to get my blood sugar back in order, because it's been all over the place because every day I've been real active and you're not supposed to move around yet."

The rocker and current Celebrity Apprentice contestant, 47, also addressed fan questions about his diabetes and alcohol.

"I know people have been asking about drinking and being diabetic, and it's a very honest question," he blogged. "Here is the honest answer, and this is the truth: when I say 'party' and 'let's have fun,' I'm one of those guys that just likes to have a great time. I'm not a belligerent drunk. I don't need to drink. ... For a diabetic ... it's a double whammy because here's what happens with alcohol: when you're hung-over then you don't eat right, you don't take your insulin right. So it's best to stay away. But, I pick and choose my times when I'm going to have fun."

Microsoft pulls April patch

Retracts fix for Windows 2000 bug after finding 'quality issues;' to reissue patch next week

Microsoft this week pulled one of the 11 security updates it issued earlier in the month, citing "quality issues" for the retraction.

Elsewhere, the company acknowledged that the original patch didn't do its job. "Today, we pulled the update because we found it does not address the underlying issue effectively," said Jerry Bryant, group manager for the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), in a post to the team's blog Wednesday.

Microsoft has stopped distributing the update through its various update mechanisms, including Windows Update and the enterprise-grade Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). Bryant said that Microsoft plans to re-release the patch next week.

"It's interesting why they chose to pull the patch," said Andrew Storms, director of security operations at nCircle Network Security, in an instant message. "If it doesn't fix the bug, does it have some kind of unexpected outcome? Otherwise, why simply pull it all together and leave a gap in coverage?"

Why Flash On Mac Is About To Get Much Less Terrible

Running Flash on Mac OS is, in a word, miserable. It's slow, resource-sucking and crashy, compared to Windows. Which is why Apple's new video acceleration API—which Adobe plans to use in upcoming versions of Flash—is great news.

It all started with this dense little block of words, posted on Apple's Mac OS reference library:

The Video Decode Acceleration framework is a C programming interface providing low-level access to the H.264 decoding capabilities of compatible GPUs such as the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, GeForce 320M or GeForce GT 330M. It is intended for use by advanced developers who specifically need hardware accelerated decode of video frames.
