Here's a shocker for you. Teenagers love Eclipse.
With the final wave of categories announced today, the latest chapter in the Twilight Saga has now earned a combined 17 nominations, adding to its previous haul to lead all rivals heading into the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, set to air Aug. 9 on Fox.
Eclipse earned a nod for Choice Summer Movie, facing off against everything and the Hollywood kitchen sink: The A-Team, Despicable Me, Grown Ups, Inception, The Karate Kid, Knight and Day, Salt, The Last Airbender and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Individually, Miley Cyrus scored 13 nods including Choice Summer Female Music Star (eat your heart out, naysayers) while Twilight's Taylor Lautner nearly doubled his six pack with 11 noms.
A full breakdown after the jump:

Early versions of the tools Windows Phone 7 developers will use to craft their wares have been floating around since Microsoft's MIX event in March, but it looks like things have finally gotten robust and feature-complete enough this week to bless the kit with a beta label. In fact, Microsoft is coming out and saying that this release "represents the near final version," which we take to mean you can develop with some confidence that your world won't be turned upside down when the time comes to prep your apps for shipping devices and firmwares. The actual API has been tweaked and Expression Blend is now fully integrated with the tools, though there are apparently still a few controls that aren't ready for primetime and will be added over the coming weeks. Oh, and if no emulator is enough to satisfy your intense cravings, you might be excited to learn that more developer devices are slated to ship next week -- so keep an eye on your mailbox and your porch if you signed up to get one.

Some Verizon customers are receiving their Droid X smartphones earlier, but, despite this, things may not be too great on launch day (July 15 – this Thursday).
According to Droid-life, Droid X inventory could be limited at launch.
Reportedly, although some Verizon stores across the US will get around 60 Droid X units, others will have as low as 5 (five) new Droids on sale.
I’ve looked on the leaked screenshots seen below, and it seems that, on average, there will be less than 30 Droid X units per store. That’s not so terrible, actually, but it will probably not be enough, since there are likely throngs of Verizon customers who are waiting to buy the Droid X (not only because it’s an awesome Android smartphone, but also because the HTC Droid Incredible is still delayed).

Nick Jones of Gartner published a brief research note on his blog that paints a bleak picture of Symbian. According to Jones, Symbian is still the dominant platform, but it is losing market share at an accelerating pace as rivals like Android and iOS continue their upward trend. Jones is equally bearish regarding the future of Symbian and points to a product roadmap that is filled with features like audio policy packages, WiFi direct, and other similar additions that are of little interest to consumers. He even goes so far as to suggest that the Symbian Foundation should invest in some skunkworks projects or launch a design contest as a contingency plan in case Symbian^4 fails to deliver as promised. Wow. So what do you think, is this admonishment undeserved or does the Symbian Foundation and Nokia need a wake up call?

Speaking at MobileBeat in San Francisco today, HP's Phil McKinney chatted up the company's flexible display tech, which uses rugged Mylar-infused sheets similar to those found in solar panels and can display video while still being bistable the same way E Ink is -- in other words, it'll hold an image without power. Thankfully, this seems to be more than a pipe dream sitting in a lab somewhere, because McKinney went on to say that "these are the kinds of display technologies that will change what we think of in form factors, both in products from Palm with flexible displays, and with HP." In other words, it's entirely within the realm of reason to imagine a bendy webOS device that gingerly sips battery juice -- or stops sipping it altogether -- while you're reading the morning news. We wouldn't expect it any time soon, of course, but it's encouraging to hear a conservative industry behemoth like HP start to talk like this. In the meantime, can we just get a new Pre, guys?

With brand new husband Mike Fisher by her side and a gorgeous wedding band gracing her left hand, it’s no wonder Carrie Underwood was all smiles as she was snapped passing through Los Angeles International Airport Sunday. En route to her honeymoon following the pair’s July 10 wedding at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, the country star–dressed casually in jean shorts, a striped tank top and cardigan–seemed to be playing with the stunning new sparkler that she said her ‘I do’s’ with just one day earlier. And while the sizeable Johnathon Arndt flawless yellow diamond engagement ring that Fisher proposed to Carrie with last year seemed to be taking the day off from Carrie’s hand, the beautiful wedding band and the newlyweds’ matching grins seemed to be giving off a glimmer all their own.”We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” the newlyweds told PEOPLE in a statement.
