“Wizards Of Waverly Place” Ends After Four Season, Leaving Selena Gomez “Heartbroken”

Selena Gomez will take a final bow on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place at the end of the show’s fourth season.

The Ramona & Beezus actress has agreed to film a final season of the popular children’s show and admits she’s “heartbroken” about the thought of bidding farewell to her castmates after filming wraps.

“Unfortunately, I’m doing my last season of my show, which I’m really heartbroken about. That’s gonna be a terrible time for me,” Gomez told MTV.com this week. “I’m gonna do a movie for my show, which I’ll be excited to end it with, and then a tour.”

Apple deletes support threads talking about Consumer Reports iPhone 4 story

We mentioned yesterday that Consumer Reports had initially recommended the iPhone 4. The publication then actually tested the device, came back, and announced that it could no longer recommend the device due to the poor antenna design.

Consumer Reports cited the fact that software would not fix the antenna issue as the reason for withdrawing its recommendation. TUAW reports that any threads started or talking about the Consumer Reports story have now been deleted.

It wasn’t only one thread deleted either, Apple moderators on the Support Forums deleted SIX different threads on the subject according to TUAW. The threads were cached via Google and are still able to be found with a web search. This is certainly not a good thing on Apple’s part, but I have to wonder how mad people who purchased the iPhone 4 based on the original Consumer Reports recommendation are right now considering that recommendation was withdrawn after testing was actually completed.

Edison Chen teaches Jay Chou how to do business

Yesterday Edison Chen attended an autograph session for a fashion store under his company in Shanghai. He expressed that whether it's music or fashion business, he collaborates with Jay Chou. Edison says: "Jay helps me write songs, giving me a helping hand in music. In turn, I help him with his fashion business, giving him advice. Both of our brands will be working together." Edison plans his next step in Beijing, opening another store there. He hopes that in the future he can open 30-40 stores. "I hope to be just like an artist, doing artistic designs."

As for the entertainment circle, Edison expresses that besides releasing an album in October or November, he will also be participating in 3-4 movies. He will only serve as the producer. The Artist Photo Scandal that happened two years ago, Edison does not feel it affected him, he just treats himself as a newcomer, facing challenges in whole new perspective.

Bobby Au Yeung agrees to run nude with T-back if TV ratings reaches 50 points

Yesterday Bobby Au Yeung attended TVB new series (A Pillow Case of Mystery II) promotional event. He was hit with pillows by a group of girls and was forced onto the floor, revealing a miserable expression.

For a period of time, Bobby has not had a TVB series broadcast, when he learned that a series premieres with only 30 points TV ratings, he said with confidence: "30 points is called good? That is easy, hope for 31 points!" If there are high ratings, then how will he thank viewers? Bobby joked: "The weather has been pretty hot lately, if there is 50 points then I'll go running nude! Actually that's not good. I'll wear a T-back to cover it, that's better! Haha!"

Because Jessica Hsuan was ill, she was absent from the promotion, but she did not forget to leave a message on her Weibo: "I am sick! I have to rely on the other cast and colleagues to work hard on the promotions. I'm really sorry! This is the first time I can't attend."

Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Eclipse the Teen Choice Noms

Here's a shocker for you. Teenagers love Eclipse.

With the final wave of categories announced today, the latest chapter in the Twilight Saga has now earned a combined 17 nominations, adding to its previous haul to lead all rivals heading into the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, set to air Aug. 9 on Fox.

Eclipse earned a nod for Choice Summer Movie, facing off against everything and the Hollywood kitchen sink: The A-Team, Despicable Me, Grown Ups, Inception, The Karate Kid, Knight and Day, Salt, The Last Airbender and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Individually, Miley Cyrus scored 13 nods including Choice Summer Female Music Star (eat your heart out, naysayers) while Twilight's Taylor Lautner nearly doubled his six pack with 11 noms.

Lawyer: Lindsay Lohan Just Doesn't Get It

A 90-day jail sentence should be a wake-up call for Lindsay Lohan but she still isn't fully aware of her dire situation, according to a lawyer who sat down with the actress over the weekend.

"My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child – a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions," Stuart V. Goldberg, who was contacted by Lohan after her attorney resigned, tells PEOPLE.

"I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences," he says. "She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."

Goldberg, a criminal defense attorney based in Chicago, says he met with Lohan, her mom Dina and younger sister Ali at the actress's West Hollywood apartment and outlined his requirements for representing her – "100 percent loyalty and zero tolerance for dishonesty"– but "they didn't seem to understand the urgency and gravity of the situation."

Microsoft extends Windows XP downgrade rights until 2020

With 74% of business PCs running XP, the move is more proof that it's the OS that won't die

Just a day before Microsoft drops support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), the company announced on Monday that people running some versions of Windows 7 can "downgrade" to the aged operating system for up to 10 years.

The move is highly unusual. In the past, Microsoft has terminated downgrade rights -- which let customers replace a newer version of Windows with an older edition without paying for two copies -- within months of introducing a new OS.

While few consumers may want to downgrade from Windows 7 to XP -- unlike when many mutinied against Vista three years ago -- businesses often want to standardize on a single operating system to simplify machine management.

Monday's announcement was the second Windows XP downgrade rights extension. Microsoft originally limited Windows 7-to-Windows XP downgrades to six months after Windows 7's release, but backtracked in June 2009 after an analyst with Gartner Research called the plan a "real mess."

Instead, Microsoft later said it would allow downgrades to Windows XP until 18 months after the October 2009 debut of Windows 7, or until it released Windows 7 SP1.

In either scenario, XP downgrade rights would have expired sometime in 2011, perhaps as early as April.

Sprint has sold 300,000 HTC EVO 4G smartphones so far, but is now facing shortages

According to Macquarie Group, Sprint has already sold 300,000 HTC EVO 4G devices, which is not bad.

However, selling the next 300,000 might prove to be a bit more challenging, since it’s being hit by shortages of the popular Android-based smartphone.

This isn’t the first time this happens. It’s also happened to Verizon, but Sprint is in a worse position than Verizon right now. While the latter lets customers who pre-ordered an HTC Droid Incredible get a Motorola Droid X instead, Sprint doesn’t yet have another device on offer to match the EVO’s features.

In fact, the HTC EVO 4G was supposed to be Sprint’s main aid in their “4G services” launch campaign. Sprint’s “4G” network, while having recently been extended to many more US cities (though it’s still not available in key markets such as New York and San Francisco), now faces a severe adoption slowdown thanks to the EVO being delayed without any probable ship date on Sprint’s website. The white EVO that we covered earlier today is also not available anymore from Best Buy.

"Love In Disguise" Weibo Fans Reaching Almost 17,000 Even Before Premiere

Even before the premiere of Wang Lee Hom's self directed and acted movie "Love In Disguise", the fans on Weibo has reached almost 17,000; fans are also highly anticipating the release of "Love In Disguise" pictorial book on the 21st, with the official website kicking off on the same day.

Currently Weibo fans for "Love In Disguise" has almost reached 17,000; this number is significantly high when compared to the Weibo figures for other Mainland movies. Director-cum-actor Wang Lee Hom will be holding a book signing on 31st July, starting the promotional activities for the movie. Towards the film's release during summer, Wang Lee Hom expressed confidently that while America has musical movies like "High School Musical", this (type of films) seldom appear among Chinese films so he believes that after the premiere of "Love In Disguise", the response from the audience would be good.

"Love In Disguise" revealed conceptual posters before the Shanghai Film Festival, but its official posters took a long time to be released. Director Wang Lee Hom was not only anxious at being unable to settle on the poster, he also nitpicked on the design of the poster. In his quest for perfection, the script was only confirmed after 53 versions, and 4 designers were asked to submit designs for the poster, proposing 25 posters with different styles with the official one finally released after numerous changes. The posters for "Love In Disguise" released today targets the different societies in Taiwan and Mainland China, designed for different ways of presentation.

Brad Pitt Shaves Off His Entire Beard!

Brad Pitt's foray into facial fuzziness is finally over -- for now!

On Monday, the 46-year-old actor showed up completely clean-shaven for his first day of work on the L.A. set of his flick Moneyball. (It's also his twins Vivienne and Knox's second birthday)

Pitt has been sporting a shaggy beard since last fall, although he was spotted with a closer-cropped beard and mustache a month ago.

Why did the father of six and love of Angelina Jolie get so shaggy? "It's boredom," he said recently. "No other reason than that." See more pics of Brad without his beard.

Mel Gibson Threatens to Kill Oksana Grigorieva, Admits Beating Her in Terrifying New Tape

The tape of Mel Gibson's racist, misogynistic tirade leaked a few days ago already proved what a disturbed guy he is, but we held out hope that at least Oksana Grigorieva's claim of him physically assaulting her was not true.

Not only is it true, he threatened to do it again ... and worse.

In a new eight-minute audiotape so vulgar and shocking it defies comprehension, Mel admits to hitting Oksana, says she deserved it and threatens her further.

This recording makes the previous Mel Gibson rant look tame.

Mel’s deeply disturbing remarks on the tape, which you can listen to after the jump (it is extremely upsetting) could be a powerful piece of evidence against the star in the criminal investigation that is being conducted by the authorities.

Rambling and so enraged that he's gasping for breath, Mel pants heavily in between vile insults on the tape, at times nearly incapable of speaking. It's not an exaggeration to call this the most bizarre, infamous celebrity meltdown in history.

Microsoft's Windows Phone Developer Tools package goes to beta

Early versions of the tools Windows Phone 7 developers will use to craft their wares have been floating around since Microsoft's MIX event in March, but it looks like things have finally gotten robust and feature-complete enough this week to bless the kit with a beta label. In fact, Microsoft is coming out and saying that this release "represents the near final version," which we take to mean you can develop with some confidence that your world won't be turned upside down when the time comes to prep your apps for shipping devices and firmwares. The actual API has been tweaked and Expression Blend is now fully integrated with the tools, though there are apparently still a few controls that aren't ready for primetime and will be added over the coming weeks. Oh, and if no emulator is enough to satisfy your intense cravings, you might be excited to learn that more developer devices are slated to ship next week -- so keep an eye on your mailbox and your porch if you signed up to get one.

Limited stock of Motorola Droid X available at launch?

Some Verizon customers are receiving their Droid X smartphones earlier, but, despite this, things may not be too great on launch day (July 15 – this Thursday).

According to Droid-life, Droid X inventory could be limited at launch.

Reportedly, although some Verizon stores across the US will get around 60 Droid X units, others will have as low as 5 (five) new Droids on sale.

I’ve looked on the leaked screenshots seen below, and it seems that, on average, there will be less than 30 Droid X units per store. That’s not so terrible, actually, but it will probably not be enough, since there are likely throngs of Verizon customers who are waiting to buy the Droid X (not only because it’s an awesome Android smartphone, but also because the HTC Droid Incredible is still delayed).

Melina Kanakaredes Leaving “CSI: NY”

After six seasons as Detective Stella Bonasera, Melina Kanakaredes is handing in her badge on CSI: NY.

Melina’s contract recently ended and the Providence alum opted not to renew her deal with CBS’ fleeting forensic crime drama.

“We hoped Melina would return to ‘CSI: NY’ for another season, but we respect her decision to move on,” CBS and CBS TV Studios said in a joint statement. “Her amazing talent and invaluable contribution to the success of the series are greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.”

Melina also issued a brief statement in the wake of Monday’s departure announcement: “I made some amazing and lifelong friendships during my six seasons on ‘CSI: NY’ … and I will treasure them forever!”

Jennifer Lopez Facing $40 Million Lawsuit Over Axed Cyprus Show

Jennifer Lopez is facing a $40 million lawsuit after scrapping a controversial show in Cyprus.

Apparently these people are under the misconception that we’re living in 2002 and J. Lo is still relevant. Who’s going to give them the bad news?

The singer was slated to perform at the opening of new hotel complex Cratos Premium in the Turkish Cypriot part of the popular tourist destination July 24 that conincided with the 36th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of the European island. Her decision to stage the show was slammed by officials at the Cyprus Action Network of America and Lopez subsequently withdrew from the gig.

“Jennifer Lopez would never knowingly support any state, country, institution or regime that was associated with any form of human rights abuse,” a rep for the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” star told the press last week. “After a full review of the relevant circumstances in Cyprus, it was the decision of management to withdraw from the appearance. This was a team decision that reflects our sensitivity to the political realities of the region.”

Symbian still dominant but falling fast

Nick Jones of Gartner published a brief research note on his blog that paints a bleak picture of Symbian. According to Jones, Symbian is still the dominant platform, but it is losing market share at an accelerating pace as rivals like Android and iOS continue their upward trend. Jones is equally bearish regarding the future of Symbian and points to a product roadmap that is filled with features like audio policy packages, WiFi direct, and other similar additions that are of little interest to consumers. He even goes so far as to suggest that the Symbian Foundation should invest in some skunkworks projects or launch a design contest as a contingency plan in case Symbian^4 fails to deliver as promised. Wow. So what do you think, is this admonishment undeserved or does the Symbian Foundation and Nokia need a wake up call?

Skype says Fring violated its Terms of Use, 'damaging our brand and reputation' in the process

It looks like Fring's recent decision to block Skype access to its iPhone 4 video app was the final straw for Skype, who charges that VoIP network was in breach of the Terms of Use and EULA for the Skype API. "Over time," writes General Counsel Robert Miller, "Fring's mis-use of our software was increasingly damaging our brand and reputation with our customers." Although they've "been talking with Fring for some time to try to resolve this amicably," Friday's action is being called "disappointing [for] our customers, who have high expectations of the Skype experience." He goes on to say that "Skype will rigorously protect our brand and reputation, and those developers that do not comply with our terms will be subject to legal enforcement." Meaning, presumably, that in the case of more Fring shenanigans there will be some sort of red-hot legal action. For its part, Fring CEO Avi Shechter had this to say: "We are disappointed that Skype, who once championed the cause of openness, is now attempting to muzzle competition, even to the detriment of its own users." Which is all well and good, but we can hardly see how Skype is the problem here when you were the ones who locked out its users in the first place.

HP's McKinney hints that a flexible display Palm device could happen

Speaking at MobileBeat in San Francisco today, HP's Phil McKinney chatted up the company's flexible display tech, which uses rugged Mylar-infused sheets similar to those found in solar panels and can display video while still being bistable the same way E Ink is -- in other words, it'll hold an image without power. Thankfully, this seems to be more than a pipe dream sitting in a lab somewhere, because McKinney went on to say that "these are the kinds of display technologies that will change what we think of in form factors, both in products from Palm with flexible displays, and with HP." In other words, it's entirely within the realm of reason to imagine a bendy webOS device that gingerly sips battery juice -- or stops sipping it altogether -- while you're reading the morning news. We wouldn't expect it any time soon, of course, but it's encouraging to hear a conservative industry behemoth like HP start to talk like this. In the meantime, can we just get a new Pre, guys?

Lindsay Lohan & Sam Ronson Reunite for Sushi

Could Lindsay Lohan's legal trouble be bringing her closer to former girlfriend Samantha Ronson?

Despite a nasty split last year and drink tossing incidents at clubs recently, it seems Lindsay's 90-day jail sentence may have softened up her ex.

Not only did Sam defend LL on Twitter, but she paid her a house call Saturday night. And just last night, the exes even stepped out for some sushi...

Linds and Sam hit Matsuhisa Sunday night. After dining together, Sam drove Lindsay back to her West Hollywood condo, but that wasn't the end of her night.

The deejay then headed to the Drai's, where she was spinning that night. Lindsay wisely decided to stay in.

In other Lohan news, she still hasn't chosen a new lawyer yet.

Word is that she's still deciding between Robert Shapiro (who defended O.J. Simpson) and Chicago attorney Stuart V. Goldberg.

In the meantime, the clock's ticking. Lohan is due to surrender by July 20.

Sandra Bullock Watched Sunny, 6, While Jesse James Was in Rehab

Jesse James confirmed during a custody hearing Monday that ex wife Sandra Bullock watched over his 6-year-old daughter, Sunny, while he spent time in rehab earlier this spring.

While testifying in Orange County, Calif. against his porn star ex wife Janine Lindemulder, James said, "I talked to her [Janine] on the phone before I went to rehab in Arizona. I let her know that she [Sunny] would be staying with her stepmother in Texas."

Sunny also visited James while he was at Arizona's Sierra Tucson rehab facility shortly after admitting to an extramarital affair with Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.

Lindemulder has said she fears Sunny loves Bullock more than her. "All Sunny talks about is Sandy, Sandy! Wtf?!" she wrote in emails -- filed as court evidence -- to James' sister Julie James England.

Monday's court hearing was over James' plans to move to Austin with Sunny to be closer to Bullock and her adopted son, Louis Bardo.

"Jesse would not relocate his family [Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., and Sunny] without consulting with her," a source recently told Us Weekly of the couple, who are talking again despite finalizing their divorce in June.

Carrie Underwood’s New Wedding Band Revealed

With brand new husband Mike Fisher by her side and a gorgeous wedding band gracing her left hand, it’s no wonder Carrie Underwood was all smiles as she was snapped passing through Los Angeles International Airport Sunday. En route to her honeymoon following the pair’s July 10 wedding at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, the country star–dressed casually in jean shorts, a striped tank top and cardigan–seemed to be playing with the stunning new sparkler that she said her ‘I do’s’ with just one day earlier. And while the sizeable Johnathon Arndt flawless yellow diamond engagement ring that Fisher proposed to Carrie with last year seemed to be taking the day off from Carrie’s hand, the beautiful wedding band and the newlyweds’ matching grins seemed to be giving off a glimmer all their own.”We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” the newlyweds told PEOPLE in a statement.
