Kristen Stewart stripper-movie trailer shows more heart than pole

Could Welcome to the Rileys be the first film featuring one of Young Hollywood’s hottest stars as a stripper that isn’t about her wearing nothing onscreen to show that she’s edgy and adult? The trailer, watch it below, gives me hope. A subdued James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo star as parents grieving the death of their daughter in a car accident. He travels to New Orleans on business, stumbles across Stewart’s runaway character in a restaurant, and decides he’s going to get her life on track because she looks like the child he lost. Leo’s character overcomes her stress-induced agoraphobia and eventually follows him to the Big Easy, where she tries to save her marriage, and Stewart from a life on the pole.

I suspect we’ll get at least one scene of Gandolfini and/or Leo watching Stewart on stage, tears in their eyes. But that’s all I need to see. You?

Lindsay Lohan, 'Too Young to Die': Hear her chipper new ballad

While none-too-thrilled with her recent jail sentence, Lindsay Lohan can think (and sing!) of worse fates than 90 days on lockdown without her hair tracks, ciggies, and lip gloss.

Several, in fact: In a new song leaked to Perez Hilton and reportedly produced by J.R. Totem (Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Sean Kingston), LiLo warbles of a dangerous love that feels, alternately, like being “hit by a train,” “falling from a building,” “drinking deadly poison,” and “crashin’ my car, comin’ flyin’ through the windshield.”

Is it about old flame Sam Ronson? Dad of the Year Michael Lohan? Carvel? Stream the song after the jump, and tell us your theories—and what you think of the song—in the comments section below:

Microsoft: Windows 7 makes 64-bit headway

The choice between the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 7 appears to be shifting toward the latter.

With the new operating system less than nine months old, 46 percent of all computers running Windows 7 are using the 64-bit edition, said Microsoft in a Thursday blog post. That compares with 11 percent for the 3.5-year-old Windows Vista.

The major benefit to running a 64-bit OS is that it can address more memory. A 32-bit version of Windows can see only up to 4GB of RAM, and effectively use only around 3GB, since that extra gigabyte is reserved. A 64-bit OS can theoretically address around 17 billion gigabytes of RAM. In the real world, though, the more expensive and advanced versions of 64-bit Windows 7 can handle up to 192GB, while the lower-end editions are more limited.

Microsoft is attributing the surge in 64-bit Windows to a variety of factors. Though the cost of memory does fluctuate, overall the price has dropped over the past few years, so it's less expensive for PC makers to bump up the RAM. And unlike several years ago, today's CPUs are all capable of running a 64-bit OS. As as a result, more OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) have jumped onto the 64-bit bandwagon, many of them moving their entire lineup of PCs into the 64-bit world, according to Microsoft.

What is this tiny Apple touchscreen that just leaked in Taiwan?

Okay, we have no idea what's going on here, but Taiwanese site Apple.pro has just posted up some shots of appears to be a tiny Apple-labeled touchscreen panel -- it measures just 3cm (1.18 inches) square. Given the site's track record with previous Apple component leaks like the white iPhone 4 and the unibody MacBook Pro enclosure, we're somewhat inclined to believe this is real, but we have no idea what it's for -- a new iPod nano? The next-gen Apple TV's remote control? Steve Jobs's dream watch? -- but we're definitely interested in finding out. One more pic showing the Apple label on the ribbon cable after the break.

Taeyang releases dance version of I Need A Girl MV

Having released a MV intially which was later pulled by YG Entertainment, fans have been waiting for the MV to be re-released, only to be told that a new version would be out instead. And after a while, it’s finally here!

The new version sees Sandara Park becoming his female lead dancer, instead of acting as Taeyang’s girlfriend and of course there’s more dancing involved in this. It’s like the stage performance in MV format and there’s G-Dragon too!

Gong Li reveals her beauty secrets

International actress Gong Li evaded questions about her bust size when she appeared at the launch of Chinese lingerie brand Aimer's flagship store on Thursday, but she was painfully honest when asked how she cares for her bust and figure.

The voluptuous actress, who spoke to reporters at a brief media conference during the event, revealed that looking good was all about exercise and a proper diet.

"You have to exercise, that is still very important," said Gong. "You might need to be more proactive towards exercise and (watch) your diet."

"If you have flab all over your body, they (clothing designers) can't conceal it," said the actress. " ... If you don't exercise, they can't design something for you even if they wanted to."

The 44-year-old China-born actress, who became a Singaporean citizen in 2008, was also very forthcoming when asked if she had plans to work with Singapore film-makers.

"I am currently looking for the right script and (have) spoken to many local directors ... I always felt that Singaporean films have a strong local flavour. The way which the scripts are written also has a very strong local flavour.

Alternate Adam Lambert Cover Photos: Unveiled!

For our entertainment, Warwick Saint has released a number new/old Adam Lambert pictures.

The photographer - who snapped the controversial, glamorous cover photo used by this artist for his debut album - considered multiple images for this featured shot.

Eventually, he and Adam settled on this pic, which Lambert admitted was purposely over-the-top and campy. We love it. But it's interesting to browse through the alternatives.

Do so now and sound off: Did Adam make the right choice?

Carrie Underwood Gets Married This Weekend

Bridal bliss!

Carrie Underwood will wed her Ottawa Senators hockey beau Mike Fisher in a luxe ceremony this weekend.

The two will walk down the aisle Saturday, July 10, in Georgia.

After about a year of dating, Fisher, 30, popped the question last December with a 12-carat ring worth about $800,000. "We're both obviously excited and very happy," Fisher said shortly after.

Underwood, 27, hired a wedding planner, but also ironed out many of the details herself.

"I bought a lot of magazines and am cutting out pictures," she told UsMagazine.com in January. "I have a folder and I cut out pictures and glue them in. It’s in kind of a binder thing."

Her dream dress is "pretty traditional, maybe with flowers on it -- not like real flowers!" she joked to Us.

Though she was envisioning a small ceremony, "I don't see that happening," she admitted. "There are so many people. He has a huge family; they’re all really close. My family is big, but we're not that tight-knit. His is about three times the size of mine."

Google, Microsoft, Apple, HTC, LG and Motorola sued over wireless email patent infringement

A relatively unknown US-based company called NTP Incorporated announced that it has filed lawsuits against six huge names in the wireless industry: Google, Microsoft, Apple, HTC, LG and Motorola.

NTP claims that eight of its patents “related to the delivery of electronic mail over wireless communications systems” have been infringed by the companies mentioned above.

Back in 2000, NTP sued BlackBerry maker RIM (also over wireless email patents infringement) and eventually won the case. In 2006, RIM paid $612.5 million to NTP.

Since “all the claims asserted” in the trial with RIM were found valid, it’s quite possible that at least some of the newly-sued companies will have to pay nice money to NTP – although litigations may last for years.

NTP was founded in 1992 by Thomas Campana, Jr (“the inventor of wireless email”) and currently holds no less than 50 US patents.

Son Dambi’s Queen MV hit with plagiarism allegations

Singer Son Dambi released her music video for title song Queen back on the 7th where we got to see a fresh new video featuring the diva that was enjoyed by most.

Well, it turns out her music video director decided to take an easy way out according to some netizens.

On the 8th, netizens noticed the similarity in both Son Dambi’s Queen music video and Syfy’s TV miniseries, Alice which aired in America last year.

The photos above show the scenes that were clearly plagiarized with Queen to the left and Alice to the right.

'Despicable Me' and 'Predators' battle for box office gold

One person who won’t be having a despicable weekend? Producer Chris Meledandri (Ice Age, Horton Hears a Who!), whose latest film, Despicable Me — released under his new company Illumination Entertainment — will almost certainly end up on top of the box-office this weekend. The film, Universal Pictures’ first foray into 3-D/CGI animation, has luckily generated solid reviews, a must considering the crowd of family films it’s jumping into. (Not only will it have a hot Toy Story 3 to contend with, but other hit family films as well, such as The Karate Kid and The Last Airbender) In contrast, Predators will be supplying starving action-horror fans just the meal they’ve been waiting for. Reviews have been mixed, but that shouldn’t stop audiences from coming out to support Adrien Brody’s dip into the genre. Read on for my predictions.

Lady Gaga Rekindles Romance with Ex-Boyfriend

Lady Gaga seems to be giving love a second chance.

The singer and her former boyfriend, musician and bartender Luc Carl, have recently reconciled, PEOPLE reports in its latest issue, on newsstands Friday.

Carl and Gaga, 24, split a few years ago – but the pair started dating again a couple of weeks ago, says a source. Last month, in fact, the couple went public with their romance, attending a New York Mets game together.

"Gaga's first album is entirely about their relationship and her latest song, 'You and I,' is about how they got back together," adds the source. "They've been in love for a while."

If the song's lyrics are any indication, Gaga intends to keep her man close by: "It's been a long time but I'm back in town/But this time I'm not leaving without you," she sings.

Gaga's rep had no comment as Gaga performed to a record-setting crowd at Rockefeller Center Friday morning for a full half-hour of the Today show.

China renews Google’s Internet Content Provider license

You remember when Google announced it was hacked by alleged Chinese hackers and some IP was stolen and emails accounts accessed? That blew up into a bigger conflict with China and Google over censorship with Google threatening to leave China and to stop censoring its search results.

Google looked like it was wielding a big pair of balls for a while as it started to redirect Chinese searchers to the Hong Kong page automatically which served mostly unfiltered results. We talked a bit about Google changing to keep its license in the June 29 edition of The Daily Slash.

As time came near for Google to get its license to operate in China renewed reality evidentially set in that if it didn’t comply with the Chinese government’s demands, it would be shut out of the biggest market in the world. Google stopped redirecting those Chinese searchers automatically and has now announced that China has renewed its operating license.

TaeYang, “I had a blind date with Yuri, and we are getting along well now”

Big Bang TaeYang’s surprising statement, “Through friend’s recommendation, I had blind date with So Nyeo Shi Dae Yuri last winter. Even now, we still keep in touch.”

Even though there are many stars who confessed on which other stars they meet up with, this will be the first time a popular idol confesses that he had met another idol through a blind date.

This was revealed during TaeYang’s appearance on SBS Strong Heart filming on 8th July. TaeYang said on the show, “I have not been in a relationship even until now. But for this year, I really want to meet a girl whom I really like and have my first relationship.”

Member SeungRi who was also present said, “We want to help TaeYang get a girl too. But without telling anyone of us, he actually went to So Nyeo Shi Dae’s concert alone.”

Taking SeungRi’s hint, MC Kang Ho Dong asked, “SeungRi’s really a good friend of ‘Strong Heart’. Thank you.” and to TaeYang, “Why did you go to SNSD concert alone? Did you receive anyone’s invitation?”

Ah Sa's Shanghai Autograph Session Creates a "Hot" Scene, Envious of Ah Gil's Filming

Although Twins have not disbanded, each member is busy with their own work, as Ah Sa brings her debut Mandarin full album "As A Sa" to Shanghai Jiuguang for an autograph session. With fans at the venue waiting for Ah Sa early in the morning, Ah Sa was nearly moved to tears while performing "Confidant". She expressed that she will continue to work hard to make good music for everyone. During a slightly earlier interview, Charlene Choi spoke of her growth in music and film and expressed that she hopes to do her best in every job she undertakes. As well, she quite envies Ah Gil's film performances, "Because in movies, she has broken through the image others have previously seen of her. As a first time, it's not bad of a challenge. I hope that I can also challenge myself, break through other aspects. As long as it isn't too exposing, then it's ok."

When solo, must work even harder

When the media discussed and reflected on previous experiences, will Ah Sa's work and feelings be influenced, Ah Sa expressed: "Thank you for everyone's support, care and concern all along. I know that many things, you can't just say to forget about it and it'll be forgotten. I hope that everyone will not continuously comfort me in the future, I am aware of what I need to do. All I want to say right now is that personally, I have never regretted anything that has happened in the past and I have faith that I can continue to improve myself as a person."

Russell Brand Katy Perry Wedding Oct. 2010 Maui, Hawaii

British comedian Russell Brand and pop star Katy Perry will tie the knot in a fall ceremony off the coast of Maui this October, celebrity tattles tell The NY Post’s Page Six spies.

The quirky couple have kept the blogosphere guessing about the details surrounding their nups since Russell — an ex-sex addict — propsed to Katy after three months of dating during a trip to India last December. Despite previous rumors placing the weddings in Thailand, India, and Britain, snoops insists this scoop is solid.

The saucy songstress went topless for a new shoot for Esquire magazine, where she also spilled her Russell Brand-taming secrets. Apparently she managed to turn the one-time “professional prostitute” (her words) into a one-woman man by simple refusing to have sex with him. Genius!

Se7en’s comeback teaser released!

Finally, the time has come for Se7en’s comeback into the K-pop scene. YG Entertainment released a short teaser of Se7en’s comeback on the YG family website.

The teaser image shows a mysterious yet strong image of Se7en with his name and the number 20100721.

We reported last month that Se7en would be releasing his comeback album on July 21st, looks like everything is going as planned.

Although we don’t get to hear Se7en’s voice in this 30 second teaser, we get a taste of the electronic feel of one of the songs that will be included in his upcoming album.

Gallen Lo an excellent househusband?

Speaking for the first time about their life after marriage, Hong Kong actor Gallen Lo's wife, Chinese actress Sophie Su, revealed that Lo is a warm and caring husband who learnt to cook just to make her happy.

During a television interview, Su said she told Lo before their wedding that she "didn't want a celebrity, but a cook and an honest husband".

After they tied the knot in Beijing in December last year, Lo, who had never cooked before in his 47 years of life, picked up cooking just for his new missus.

According to Su, Lo called his mom in Hong Kong to get recipes and cooking tips.

"He took down notes about what ingredients go in first and what ingredient follows. Now he can cook a whole table full of delicious dishes!" she gushed.

Su went on to reveal that Lo not only took care of the meals but also handled other chores, from doing the laundry to watering the flowers in the garden.

Why America Laughed While Lindsay Cried! & more

It's hard to feel bad for Lindsay Lohan. It's hard for me to feel bad for Lindsay Lohan, at least. In my book, Lindsay has been given opportunity after opportunity to clean up her act and single handedly squandered each one. That's why when the starlet burst into surprised tears at Judge Marsha Revel's 90-day sentence on Tuesday, I couldn't muster one lick of sympathy.

Instead I had the opposite reaction. I laughed. Why was I guffawing at this girls' misfortune you may ask? There are five simple reasons.

More Nude Ke$ha Photos Floating Around?

Ke$ha is at the center of a nude photo scandal after ticking off a disgruntled spinner.

The “Tik Tok” hitmaker raised the ire of one “DJ Stolen” — an old pal from her prefame days as a Cali party girl — after she refused to “give him a shoutout” when the pair ran into one another on the streets of Los Angeles earlier this summer. As a result, Stolen took revenge on the pop tart by leaking a naked picture of the grungy singer to the Interwebs.

(It’s more than wildly rumored that DJ Stolen is actually pop superproducer Rodney Jerkins, aka Darkchild — but you didn’t hear that from us.)

The snap — which features the “Your Love Is My Drug” singer laying naked on a bed and clutching her jizz-covered breasts, hit the web tagged with the name “DJ Stolen” on Wednesday. Ke$ha now joins the ranks of Rihanna, High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens, R&B singer Cassie, and Hayley Williams of Paramore — all who have had topless or nude photos leaked.

Android grows market share in the US by 44% in the last quarter, Samsung regains top OEM position

ComScore has just publicized its quarterly MobiLens, a report on the key trends in the U.S. mobile phone industry that focuses on the three months ending in May.

The top smartphone platforms, by usage, remain the same, but at this rate of growth, Android is set to overtake Windows Mobile (yes, you read that right) in the next quarter. They’re very close right now, with just .2% of separation.

Android also registers the biggest growth quarter-to-quarter of any of the indicators that MobiLens watches, going up in market share from 9% and the end of February to 13% at the end of May, a whopping 44% gain.

And this is one trend which is guaranteed to continue, especially since more and more Android smartphones are set to be available on all US carriers in the near future.

In spite of a .4% loss of market share, RIM’s BlackBerry remains, by far, the dominant platform in the US. It’s followed, from afar, by Apple, also encountering a small loss of 1%, but keep in mind that the iPhone 4 was released in June, so the next quarter will surely yield some growth for them.

iPhone 4 bursts into flames, burns hand

One of our very close AT&T sources just sent us in these images. Yes, it’s a fried iPhone 4. Apparently a customer brought the phone into the store to try and get help with it, although it’s pretty evident that the phone is unrepairable. It’s the first time our guy has seen this happen (us too), but the brand new iPhone 4 caught on fire while being hooked up to a computer using the Apple USB cable that accompanied the device. The customer wanted to exchange the iPhone — obviously — for a new, non-charred unit however the AT&T store in question was out of stock. An Apple Store did confirm to our AT&T connection that this did appear to be a defective USB port and not some sort of user error. Our source went onto say that the phone bezel was extremely hot (obviously), and it slightly burned the customers hand. The USB port in the phone was slightly melted and the cord was badly melted (as is apparent in the pictures). Hopefully this is the only time we see our beloved iPhones meet a fiery death. We’ve got one more picture for you after the break.

Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer Quits

Lindsay Lohan is in the middle of even more legal drama.

Thursday afternoon – just hours after Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley released a statement calling the star's 90-day jail sentence "harsh" – Holley suddenly resigned as Lohan's lawyer.

A rep for Holley confirmed the lawyer is no longer representing Lohan, but would not release any more details.

However, it seems Lohan may have already hired a new attorney in her criminal case, according to police.

"We got a call yesterday from a female identifying herself as Tiffany Feder-Cohen," says L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. "She introduced herself as Lindsay Lohan's new attorney. I can't get into details about why she called, but the bottom line is that we at the sheriff's department only do what the courts instruct us to do."

Calls to Feder-Cohen's office were not returned.

Mel Gibson Targeted in Domestic Violence Probe

Mel Gibson might have played a lethal weapon in the movies. Now the cops want to make sure he isn't doing the same offscreen.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has opened a domestic violence investigation into accusations the Passion of the Christ auteur punched out his ex-girlfriend/baby mama Oksana Grigorieva earlier this year during an ugly confrontation.

"We have spoken to the alleged victim," spokesman Lt. Steve Whitmore tells E! News. "The investigation officially began Monday and we are in the preliminary stages."

What would Jesus say?

No other details were revealed, including what sort of evidence—audio or otherwise—the police are working with. Whitman also would not say whether Gibson had been questioned yet.

Word of domestic abuse first surfaced last week after RadarOnline reported that it had obtained recordings of an allegedly violent Jan. 6 confrontation between the 54-year-old Gibson and 40-year-old musician Grigorieva, as she held the ex-couple's 9-month-old daughter, Lucia.

The former lovebirds, who called it quits in April, are currently locked in nasty court battle over custody and financial arrangements and both reportedly have restraining orders against each another.

Gibson's camp is planning to make a statement on the matter later this afternoon.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini / Mini Pro review

In a smartphone market saturated with 3.5-inch and larger displays, Sony Ericsson reckons there's still a little place for petite packages. Enter the Xperia X10 Mini (E10i) and Mini Pro (U20i) -- both direct descendants of the beastly X10 Android 1.6 handset. Apart from the Pro's slide-out keyboard, removable battery, and positioning of various features, the two Minis are otherwise internally identical -- same processor, same camera, and same screen. So can these cute baby form factors offer more than just some palm-cuddling time? Can we get a decent smartphone performance out of them? Follow us after the break to find out.

Fring update approved for iPhone, does video calling with front cam over 3G

We weren't exactly sure whether Apple was going to approve third-party video calling apps using the front camera on the iPhone 4, but good news: the answer is "yes." Fring just slid in a new version of its longstanding iPhone app today featuring support for video calling, which is pretty awesome in and of itself -- but the real news is that it works just fine over 3G, as you can see in our quick test above between Chicago and London. This opens the door for services that could have potentially broader implications than FaceTime itself, since Apple's service is limited to WiFi and currently only works between iPhone 4s. Just make sure you're wearing clothes when you call, alright?

Taeyang: "After the 'elbowing incident', I decided to respect Seungri"

After the ‘video incident,’ decided to treat Seungri as an adult

Although Taeyang is in the middle of his solo activities, there can’t not also be talk about Big Bang. All the members had taken part in solo activities, but their colors are all different.

“The reason we do music is because it makes us happy and we like it. When we put out solo albums we match it to our individual styles, and when we put out an album as Big Bang we do music that we can do together. We don’t fight when we talk about music.”

Recently, a video of Big Bang member G-Dragon elbowing youngest Seungri went viral and became quite a scandal.
“After watching the video, I thought it could be interpreted badly. We weren’t being smart. We should be doing that out in public.. We should have behaved more professionally. We’re all really close, and I think our acting naturally around each other was misunderstood. I realized that a lot of people are watching us. Also I decided to respect Seungri from now on. I realized that I have to treat Seungri like an adult (laughs).”

Park ShinHye, Han SeungYeon and Sulli – great interests as to who will be the female lead to ‘Mischievous Kiss’

f(x) Sulli has been added to the list of possible candidates for the female lead to upcoming drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’.

Ahead of that, it has been revealed that SS501 Kim HyunJoong has been confirmed as male lead for the drama, Sulli is amongst the possible female lead for the drama apart from Park ShinHye and KARA Han SeungYeon.

Kim HyunJoong will play the role of Baek SeungJo who excels in everything he does. Kim HyunJoong has been chosen over Dong Bang Shin Ki ChangMin and C.N Blue Jung YongHwa for the role.

Netizens’ comment to the casting are, “The sync rate for Kim HyunJoong for this role is 100%”, “The key is who is going to be the female lead” etc.

'X-Men: First Class': Matthew Vaughn fills his cast with up-and-comers

Casting rumors on X-Men: First Class have been out of control. So let’s sort out what’s true and what’s not. For the record, Fox — the studio behind the movie — isn’t confirming any of the chatter. Our sources, however, tell us that About a Boy’s Nicholas Hoult (pictured, left), who recently appeared in Clash of the Titans and A Single Man, will play Beast in the film, which also stars James McAvoy as Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Caleb Landry Jones — who will appear in The Last Exorcism in August, and The Social Network in October — will take on the role of Banshee. The third name you can add to the list is Lucas Till (pictured, right), the actor who played Miley Cyrus’ beau in Hannah Montana: The Movie. He is in negotiations to play the role of Havok. Still, my sources tell me to keep in mind that these parts may not be the actual characters in the movie. Instead, this could be part of a misdirection campaign to keep some surprises from X-Men fans.

And in terms of what’s not true: Aaron Johnson is not appearing in X-Men: First Class. The British star of Kick-Ass may have been photographed leaving a building with Vaughn and McAvoy, but he will not be playing any type of superhero, or any other part for that matter, in the new film. Same goes for Taylor Lautner, who can’t fit another film into his busy schedule. The teen star, better known as Jacob Black, is currently shooting Abduction with John Singleton, and will begin filming Breaking Dawn, the final Twilight chapter, in the fall.

LCD components for 4th generation iPod Touch reveal hole for front-facing camera?

International trade company Alibaba has posted two purported components for the next generation iPod Touch. These products include an LCD assembly unit with digitizer and a stand-alone digitizer (both of which include a hole in the top center of the assembly that could be used for a front-facing camera). These components potentially support the notion of a front-facing camera put forth earlier by UK retailer John Lewis, however, as MacRumors points out, the implied back-to-back positioning of a front and rear-facing camera on a device as slim as the iPod Touch is difficult, if not impossible. If Apple was going to include a center front-facing camera as shown above, the rear camera must be positioned to the side or removed completely. In light of this camera positioning information, what do you think? Real or just some fake knock-offs?

Microsoft to patch Google engineer's zero-day next week

Sped up patch job originally slated for August release

Microsoft today said it will deliver four security updates next week to patch five vulnerabilities in Windows and Office, including the bug that a Google researcher took public a month ago.

As expected, the slate for next Tuesday is relatively short: Microsoft has been shipping alternating large and small batches of fixes, with the larger updates landing in even-numbered months. In June, for example, the company issued 10 bulletins that patched a record-tying 34 vulnerabilities. May's collection, meanwhile, amounted to just two bulletins that fixed two flaws.

"This month is light, and would have been even lighter if Tavis hadn't forced them to move faster than their norm [to patch his vulnerability]," said Wolfgang Kandek, the chief technology officer of Qualys.

Kandek was referring to Tavis Ormandy, the Google security engineer who published attack code in early June for a bug in Windows XP's Help and Support Center, a feature that lets users access and download Microsoft help files from the Web, and can be used by support technicians to launch remote support tools on a local PC. The bug, Microsoft said today, also affects Windows Server 2003.

Zac Efron Vanessa Hudgens Engagement Imminent?

Is Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron planning a proposal to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens?

According to well-placed spies for celebrity Gossip Guy Zack Taylor, Efron has selected an engagement ring that he will present to his former High School Musical co-star — and GF of four years — sometime in the next few weeks.

The couple have reportedly been shacking up in Efron’s Los Angeles-area home since Vanessa’s Malibu mansion suffered devastating damage in a flood back in May.

Now Zac if finally ready to take things to the next level.

“The proposal has been something [Zac] has been thinking about for a while. He already has the ring picked out and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the two engaged this summer,” the insider divulges.

Marisa Miller Named Earth's Sexiest Woman

It seems like every magazine in the world comes out with a Sexiest Woman on the Planet poll at least once a year.

Finally, though, a publication has clearly made the right choice. (No offense, Kate Beckinsale!)

FHM says it asked over one million voters across two dozen countries to name the most attractive female on Earth. The winner? Marisa Miller. The proof? Right here:

Not only does Miller look like this, she appears to embrace housework!

MeeGo prototype phone crushes Android 2.2 in JS rendering. 1.5 times faster CPU helps, of course

The Aava MeeGo development platform is not an actual device that you can or will be able to buy. It’s a reference design meant to showcase the platform’s possibilities.

That said, some, or who knows, even most of its features may end up in phones and/or tablets sooner or later.

It’s powered by a 1.5 GHz Intel Moorestown processor, Intel’s first foray into the world of really low-power consuming chips, which has traditionally been ARM’s territory. Though before concluding that ARM is dead and Intel will rule this market too, one must also consider that Intel still has a long way to go with regards to power consumption, while in the ARM camp, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragons are coming. This will definitely be one fight to watch in the coming months.

Flash Player investing in a 3D future, plans coming in October

Man, Adobe is really teasing up Flash and 3D. Straight from the mouth (or, rather, keyboard) of product manager Thibault Imbert: "What kind of [3D] API? True textured z-buffered triangles ? GPU acceleration? Even better? What I can say is forget what you have seen before, it is going to be big." Big talk in regards to a session at the company's upcoming MAX 2010 conference entitled (aptly enough) "Flash Player 3D Future." According to the description and some added details care of Imbert, expect discussion and demos of a renderer coming in a future version of Flash Player. We'd love to give you something more concrete, but looks like that might be awhile -- the talk isn't until October 27th.

HTC promises Windows Phone 7 from “day one”

Until last year, the platform of choice for HTC was, as everybody knows, Windows Mobile. Now, in 2010, things are completely different: HTC introduced lots of Android smartphones, and only one based on Microsoft’s mobile OS (the somewhat forgettable HTC HD Mini).

Of course, it’s mainly Microsoft’s fault for this, because it’s kind of late with launching the new Windows Phone 7 platform.

Naturally, HTC – alongside Samsung, LG, and a bunch of other companies – supported WP7 since the first day it was announced, and it later stated it would launch WP7 devices before the end of 2010 (two of them might be the HTC Mondrian and HTC Mozart).

We still don’t know when exactly HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 smartphone will be out. However, Eric Lin, the company’s global PR and online community manager, told Pocket-lint the following:

“I know that we’re working with Microsoft. I know that we have access to the OS, to the tools, so I have every reason to believe that we’re going to be there on day one”.
