Ol’ Blue Eyes would cry if he heard ‘Idols’ sing

Top 5 struggle with Sinatra tunes despite great help from Harry Connick Jr.

First of all, let me admit that I am predisposed not to like Harry Connick Jr. The dislike is entirely personal, fueled by a December working as a Radio Shack cashier at Lakeforest Mall in Maryland, a full month in which the stereos all played Harry Connick CDs on a loop. I still have nightmares where all I hear is nothing but two hours of “It Had to Be You.”

But I do not blame him for Tuesday’s “American Idol” performances, in which he coached the five remaining finalists through Frank Sinatra week. He tried his best, working on all the arrangements and even backing the contestants onstage, along with members of his band. “You think Shania Twain was up here doing this?” he said as part of the pre-performance video.

No, she was not. So more power to you, Harry Connick Jr. You set the new standard as the best guest mentor of the season.

Miley Cyrus "Can't Be Tamed" Video: The Transformation is Complete

Welcome to a whole new Miley Cyrus.

The title track from her newest album, Can't Be Tamed, debuted Friday, and on Tuesday night (May 4), E! News premiered the song's video. In the clip, Miley is trapped in a cage while dressed up like a bird, trashing the museum she's contained in and newly sexualized now that she's Disney-free.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest that ran after the video's debut, Cyrus said the video wasn't about her new attitude, but about putting a story to the rebellious track. A museum curator introduces "a creature so rare it was believed to be extinct" to a crowd of posh attendees, announcing that "in captivity for the first time, the rarest creature on Earth, Avis Cyrus."

Justin Bieber Is Not Smart

Perhaps Justin Bieber should spend more time studying the meaning of words and less time looking adorable.

The teen icon appeared on a New Zealand television show this week and was asked if his last name meant "basketball" in German. In what, Justin asked?!?

In German, the host insisted, even showing Bieber the question so he could see it written out. Justin's response? Uhhh, I don't know what that means. We don't say that in America.

Just something to think about, ladies, the next time you cause a riot just because Bieber is in the vicinity...

Microsoft Kin One and Two review

Make no mistake: the Kin One and Two are coming into the world as the black sheep of the phone industry, and Microsoft would have it no other way. Straddling the fence somewhere between a dedicated smartphone and high-spec featurephone, they've been tricky to understand since the day they were first leaked (even Microsoft seemed unsure of what the devices meant until very recently). Billed as a Gen-Y (the "upload generation") social networking tool -- and sold in advertisements as the gateway to the time of your young, freewheeling life -- the Kin phones have admittedly been something of head-scratcher to those of us in the gadget world. Built atop a core similar (but not identical) to the Windows Phone 7 devices coming later this year, manufactured by Sharp, and tied into partnerships with Verizon and Vodafone, the phones dangerously preempt Microsoft's reemergence into the smartphone market. Hell, they're even called Windows Phones. But the One and Two aren't like any Windows Phones you've ever seen. With stripped-down interfaces, deep social networking integration, and a focus on very particular type of user, Microsoft is aiming for something altogether different with Kin. So do these devices deliver on that unique, social experience that Redmond has been selling, or does this experiment fall flat? We've taken both handsets for a spin, and we've got all the answers in our full review... so read on to find out!

iPhone OS 4.0 beta 3 is ready for your scrutiny (update: it's been pulled)

The last time Apple dropped a release of iPhone OS 4.0, it left more than a few downloaders in crumpled heaps on the floor, sobbing quietly to themselves as they tried desperately to come to terms with the fact that their beloved iPhones were far less usable than they had been just a few minutes prior. Well, we don't know yet if beta 3 is any better, but it's here -- and if you're a member of Apple's iPhone dev program, it's ready for you to install. So yeah -- take care, good luck, godspeed, be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. Let us know how it goes in comments, yeah?

Update: And... it's been pulled. Good thing we just restored our phone. We'll let you know if and when it comes back.

Windows Phone 7 based on a hybrid Windows CE 6 / Compact 7 kernel?

Up until now, we'd heard and believed that Windows Phone 7 would be based on Microsoft's time-tested Windows CE 6 kernel -- aging, yes, but still considerably newer and more technically modern than the CE 5 upon which Windows Mobile 6.x operates. Thing is, Windows Embedded evangelist Olivier Bloch just dropped the knowledge this week that the company's all-new phone platform will actually be "based on the Windows Embedded Compact 7 core," which sounds a lot to us like Redmond skipped right over CE 6 and went straight for the latest and greatest (and still unavailable to the general public) stuff.

Wonder Girls reveal new single cover & track title, 2 Different Tears!

As much as we love Nobody, it seems like everyone is highly anticipating the Wonder Girls‘ big comeback with a brand new track and set of promotions. We’re still waiting for the new album, but the pop quintet’s got a new English single for us all titled 2 Different Tears!

Furthermore, the tracklist has been revealed, and it looks like 2 Different Tears will be the only new track on the album. Although this may be disappointing for some fans that were expecting more new songs on this album, keep in mind that this is just an EP, as the girls’ full-length English album will be released this summer.

New Book Details Tiger Woods Affairs, Shadiness

Breaking news: Tiger Woods had affairs! He cheated!

It's hard to imagine what we don't know about the world's top golfer 121 mistresses later, but People magazine reporter Steve Helling is ready to tell all.

Interestingly, he said he could have blown the whistle long ago, but declined to out Tiger's shady dalliances for fear of having access to Woods revoked.

The singer, who looks dashing in a new spread for YRB magazine, is almost done with his European tour. Next stop: America!

First, though, Lambert sang acoustic versions of a few songs for fans in Zurich. We apologize for how dark the following videos are, but we assure you Adam is there somewhere, singing "Whataya Want From Me" and "Mad World."

Adobe shows off prototype Android tablet running Air and Flash 'flawlessly'

Well, here's something of a surprise. In addition to demonstrating Flash running on phones like the Nexus One and Palm Pre at the now-happening Web 2.0 Expo, Adobe also has a prototype Android tablet of some sort on hand that, according to Zedomax, runs Flash and Air apps "flawlessly." Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any details at all on the tablet itself, and judging from the looks of things, it is a prototype in the truest sense of the word (check out the other shot after the break). It does seem to deliver the goods when it comes to Air and Flash, however, with it able to run Wired's Air-based magazine app and play YouTube videos without so much as a hiccup, although we'd definitely like to see it in a few more taxing situations. See for yourself in a pair of all too brief videos after the break.

Ellen pokes fun at Apple... and then apologizes

It seems that Apple doesn't like—or simply doesn't understand—the extremely complex, layered satire presented on the Ellen Degeneres Show: The company supposedly bullied poor Ellen into apologizing for spoofing an iPhone commercial.

Geez. I don't get half of Ellen's jokes either, but I'm not exactly demanding an apology for it.

Lin Chi-ling Shows Off Her Japanese

The new Fuji Television drama Tsuki no Koibito ~ Moon Lovers, starring Kimura Takuya will begin airing next Monday. To take advantage of the Golden Week holiday, Fuji TV has steadily increased their promotional campaign. Aside from ads at Shibuya Station in Tokyo, they also launched the official website for the drama a few days ago.

Lately, Fuji TV has been airing many promotional clips of the drama. There were clips of Lin Chi-ling embracing both lead actors Kimura and Matsuda Shota. She also spoke fluent Japanese in the clips. Her onscreen presence seems even greater than the other two lead actresses, Shinohara Ryoko and Kitagawa Keiko.

'I've never looked at my body in a negative way': Jennifer Lopez gives the low-down on her famous derriere

Crouched in the corner wearing little more than a mac and a pair of towering ribboned heels, it's not hard to see where the fascination with Jennifer Lopez's body started.

As famous for her curves as for her singing, Lopez maintains it's not about being a size zero, it's all about confidence.

'I was always very comfortable with who I was,' she tells Marie Claire. 'I've never looked at myself in a negative way.'

Back after a two-year break to look after her newborn twins, Lopez, 40, certainly oozes confidence in an exclusive shoot for the magazine.

Beyonce Serves Up Retro Sexiness In New 'Why Don't You Love Me?' Music Video

When Beyonce announced that she'd be taking a much-deserved break in 2010, we found it a little hard to believe -- and apparently so did she. The singer, who told USA TODAY in January that she'd like to take "about six months" off to "recharge [her] batteries," has done just about everything but -- launching a new fragrance and teaming up with both Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys. Now, she's gone ahead and filmed a little something of her own to promote 'Why Don't You Love Me?' -- a bonus track off her worldwide smash 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' album.

The Grammy-winning singer, who is no stranger to alter egos, serves up yet another persona in her latest music video -- a sultry 50's housewife named B.B. Homemaker that we definitely hope to see more of in the future. Click through to watch the hardest working woman in show business, well, hard at work.

Chrome's latest version also adopts several HTML5 features, including geolocation APIs (application programming interfaces), application caching and drag-and-drop capabilities, Google announced on Tuesday.

Oprah has an EVO 4G and you don't

We wish we could tell you that Oprah caused a small riot in Chicago by handing out HTC EVO 4Gs to everyone in her audience but, alas, she seems to have just kept this one for herself. More specifically, she used the "fancy new" phone to show "those of you who actually know how to text" how easy it is to sign her "No Phone Zone" pledge. No discounts, no Bono, just a fleeting glimpse of one of the most anticipated phones of the year. Head on past the break for the video evidence of this momentous event.

'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' to premiere at L.A. fest

Lisa Cholodenko's alternative family dramedy "The Kids Are All Right" from Focus Features will open the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 17, and Universal's 3D CGI feature "Despicable Me," directed by Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin and starring Steve Carell, will close the fest 10 days later.

But the lineup of 200 feature films, shorts and music videos announced Tuesday will probably be overshadowed by the world premiere of David Slade's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," the third installment in the teen vampire series. Summit will unveil the film, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, at an invitation-only event at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live on June 24.

Charlize Theron & Keanu Reeves Possibly Dating ?

Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron had dinner out last night ... dinner followed by a looooong hug (and kiss!) goodbye outside Bouchon in Beverly Hills.

They weren't shy about their PDA while waiting for the valet after sharing a romantic dinner, although the rumored couple did drive home separately.

News of Charlize and longtime partner Stuart Townsend’s split emerged in late January. Neither one of these attractive A-list stars has ever married.

Reeves and Theron starred in 1997’s The Devil’s Advocate and 2001’s Sweet November, so there is definite history there ... of shared mediocre films.

Demi Lovato 'Totally Fine' After Car Accident

Reason No. 422 to get a good night’s sleep: Avoiding mishaps behind the wheel.

Disney Channel star Demi Lovato, 17, experienced her first fender bender in Los Angeles Tuesday after admitting she was off to a slow start in the morning.

"Today hasn't started off so great," Lovato Tweeted. "I was so sleepy this morning I got in my first little accident in my car. "

Within hours the Sonny with a Chance star updated her fans, Tweeting, "To everyone who asked, yes – I'm totally fine! Thank you! Haha just was a huge bummer."

There is no word on whether another car was involved in the scrape. Lovato's rep had no comment.

Oh God No. A Dating Site For Apple Fans

Every once in a while something hits our inbox that is just so…wrong…that we can’t not post about it. Today is one of those times. A new site called Cupidtino is preparing to launch. It’s a dating site for Apple fanboys and fangirls. Yep, you read that right.

Our own resident Apple fanboy MG Siegler, who loves all gadgets as long as they are made by Apple, would be perfect for this. The site’s name is a play on Cupid and Cupertino, California, where Apple is headquartered. From the landing page:

Cupidtino is a beautiful new dating site created for fans of Apple products by fans of Apple products! Why? Diehard Mac & Apple fans often have a lot in common – personalities, creative professions, a similar sense of style and aesthetics, and of course a love for technology. We believe these are enough reasons for two people to meet and fall in love, and so we created the first Mac-inspired dating site to help you find other Machearts around you.

Cupidtino will launch in June 2010 exclusively on Apple platforms – including sweet location-based social apps for the iPhone and iPad.

H.264 patents: how much do they really cost?

If you’ve been following the recent controversy over video formats in HTML5, you know that software patents are a key part of Microsoft’s decision to adopt the H.264 standard as the native codec to use with HTML5 video in Internet Explorer 9.

The biggest fear I’ve heard expressed from opponents of the H.264 standard and advocates of competing standards is cost. But are those fears justified? I’ve taken a closer look at the legal and technical documents involved, and I’m convinced that those fears are vastly overblown. As I explain below, the cost per user is literally pennies, and there’s already a cap in place that guarantees the rates won’t rise more than 10% in the future. (As a side note, I completely understand and sympathize with the objections that some people have to software patents in general. But here in the real world, those patents exist and are routinely enforced in courts, at great cost to the participants.)

In my previous post on the topic, I spent a full page explaining the role of the MPEG Licensing Authority (MPEG LA), which administers the patent pool for the H.264 standard. It happens that H.264 is a very good way of delivering video, and it’s well supported by existing graphics hardware. So that’s a strong technical reason to choose it. But the legal reasons are even more compelling. As I explain on page 2 of this post, the H.264 pool represents 1,135 patents from 26 companies in 44 countries. By participating in that patent pool, software developers and device makers companies go a long way toward indemnifying themselves from patent lawsuits by guaranteeing that they are properly licensed for all of those pooled patents.

HP debuts quad-core Envy 14 and 17; start at $999 and $1,399

Hewlett Packard on Wednesday announced the Envy 14 and 17, adding two more models to its existing lineup of 13- and 15-inch Envy premium laptops.

The new MacBook-like notebooks aren’t too different from their differently-sized siblings, and fill out the lineup nicely, particularly at the large end.

Both of the new Envy notebooks feature Intel processors and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 discrete graphics.

Bret Michaels Leaves Hospital, "100 Percent Recovery" Expected

Bret Michaels is almost ready to rock again.

The Poison frontman has left the hospital and is expected to "make a 100% recovery," his neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Zabramski said in a press conference Tuesday.

After suffering a subarachnoid (brain-stem) hemorrhage April 21, the 47-year-old musician had been recovering at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

Zabramski added that Michaels' condition will resolve in "about seven to days," after which the singer "will really be able to feel like he's on the mend and can resume all of his activities."

Although Michaels' ordeal was compounded by several factors -- an emergency appendectomy earlier in April, his lifelong struggle with Type 1 diabetes, and a seizure-causing side-effect -- it could have been a lot worse. "He's just one of those lucky people," the doctor said, explaining that only 10 to 20% of hemorrhage sufferers fully recover.

Source: Halle Berry Called Gabriel Aubry a "Loser"

When Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry announced they’d split after four years of dating, they insisted the breakup was amicable.

But sources close to the former couple tell the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands Wednesday, that their parting followed months of bitter bickering behind closed doors.

Even though True Religion model Aubry, 34, raked in an estimated $700,000 a year, Berry focused on his career disappointments, including his failed Cuban eatery, Cafe Fuego, in NYC, which opened in 2006 and closed less than two years later.

"Halle called him a loser," a source tells Us. "She'd rub it in his face that she's an Oscar-winning actress and he's just a model. He couldn't take it anymore."

Disney Slashes Budget For “Pirates Of The Caribbean 4″

Sailing the friendly seas with Disney has gone coach. The Mouse has drastically cut the budget for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides — the long-awaited fourth film in the studio’s blockbuster Pirates franchise.

In a recent chat with The Los Angeles Times, producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that Disney chairman Rich Ross wants the company to be “mean, lean, and cost effective.” In a effort to cut down on costs, Disney will be spending $100 million less on Pirates 4 than it did on 2007’s At Worlds End.

Although Bruckheimer insists that the audience will not notice the cuts in the final product, screenwriters Ted Eliott and Terry Rossio have been instructed to give Johnny Depp’s pirate alter ego Jack Sparrow more scenes on land rather than at sea, because of the high cost of filming water scenes. In addition, production will be moving filming locations from Los Angeles and the Caribbean to Hawaii and London and cutting back on shooting days and visual effects shots.

Cameron Diaz sneaks out of Alex Rodriguez's New York flat (blowing the cover on their secret relationship)

It seems the cover has been blown on Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez's secret fling as the pair were spotted leaving the baseball player's flat.

The pair were careful not to be snapped together with Diaz sneaking out first clutching what seemed like overnight bags.

Rodriguez, or A-Rod as he is affectionately known, attempted anonymity by leaving his Manhattan apartment behind a black umbrella, despite the patently sunny weather.

Kate Hudson is a bit of all white as she squeezes into low cut top on the set of new movie

The day after attending the fashion event of the year, Kate Hudson was back to the day job on the set of her new movie.

Following her attendance at Monday's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute gala in New York, she was up bright and early to film scenes for her new film, Something Borrowed.

Dressed in a completely white outfit, one might think she appeared quite angelic.

But she certainly managed to inject a shot of sex appeal with the tightly-fitting low cut top, into which she poured her curves.

Megan Fox embraces a different kind of role as she plays stepmum on a family day out with boyfriend and his son

At 23, she's still rather young for the role of stepmother but Megan Fox is pretty used to it by now.

After all she was just 17 when she met and fell for Brian Austin Green, who was then a 30-year-old with a two-year-old son.

Now Kassius is eight and judging by the smile on his face as he went shopping for books, he realises how cool it is to have a superstar actress in his extended family.

The three of them went to BookStar in Studio City, LA, yesterday.

Of course, Kassius has known Megan for most of his life as she and Brian have been dating since 2004.

They met on the set of U.S. comedy series Hope & Faith. Two years later they announced their engagement but in February 2009 called it off, however they remain a couple.

David Boreanaz Cheatgate: Here Comes Gloria Allred

Did David Boreanaz confess to being unfaithful to wife Jaime Bergman to thwart Gloria Allred?

The camera-loving attorney, who has already made cameos in the Tiger Woods and Jesse James cheating scandals, has now inserted herself into the Boreanaz case.

And it boils down to whether you believe she and her client were trying to shake down the Bones star or protect themselves from Team Boreanaz, led by his own pitbull attorney, Marty Singer.

"Marty Singer attempted to contact a woman who had a romantic relationship with David Boreanaz. She then retained me," Allred says in a statement.

"I then contacted Mr. Singer on her behalf to find why Mr. Singer was calling her. We discussed the possible resolution of my client's legal claims against Mr. Boreanaz by mediation. My client has not told her story to the press, but now that Mr. Boreanaz is attacking her, she has decided to tell the story of their relationship, so that the truth will come out."

Jennifer Aniston shares a tender kiss with Adam Sandler... but it's just for their new movie

Having spent the past few weeks shooting their romcom in Hawaii, it was only a matter of time before Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler shared a passionate kiss.

But as she clocked up yet another on-screen lover in a beach bar scene, fans were left to wonder once more when she'll find the genuine article in real life.

Aniston, 41, and Sandler, 43, have been filming Just Go With It on Maui, the second largest Hawaiian island, with Nicole Kidman since last month.

Costume Institute Gala: Katy Perry lights up star-studded Met ball in LED gown

At first glance, Katy Perry's gown was relatively demure for the famously kooky dresser. Floor-length, pale pink and white, it seemed she had decided to play it safe.

But then the lights went down - and Katy began to glow in her fantastic colour-changing dress.

Concealed rows of fairy lights gave the CuteCircuit design a fluorescent aura at the star-studded event, which attracts the toast of New York society.

It was the best possible advert for CuteCircuit, a fashion company based in London that designs wearable technology.

As Katy walked down the red carpet all eyes were on the glowing singer, who accessorised with Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

'Nightmare On Elm Street' remake to get sequel

Warner Bros to make follow-up after horror took $30m in US box office

Freddy Krueger is back - again. After taking $30m on its opening weekend on the US box office, A Nightmare on Elm Street is already in line for a sequel. The remake of the 1984 classic - now starring Jackie Earle Haley as the blade-fingered, striped-jumper terror who stalks people in their dreams - could have its second instalment in 3D.

"We don't have a story yet, but this is the largest horror opening in the April-May corridor, and it just proves there's a lot left in the franchise," Warner distribution president Dan Fellman told The Wrap.

Meanwhile, producer Brad Fuller has said making the follow-up in 3D is possible, though by no means certain.

Apple under preliminary antitrust investigation over iPhone, triggered by complaint from Adobe

We'd heard a somewhat sketchy report from the New York Post yesterday that the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission were considering launching an antitrust inquiry into Apple and its various iPhone-related practices, and now it's being confirmed by Reuters and the Wall Street Journal, who say the inquiry was triggered by complaints from Apple's competitors and app developers -- specifically Adobe, according to Bloomberg. The DOJ and FTC are currently deciding which agency will take the lead in any inquiry, but if and when it gets underway there are a few issues at play: the first is obviously Apple's decision to block Flash and other middleware from app development, and the second is Apple's new iAd platform, which comes with its own changes to the iPhone developer agreement that could potentially lock out third-party ad and analytics services like AdMob -- itself under regulatory scrutiny due to the Google acquisition -- and Flurry.

We'd also imagine regulators will take a close look at Apple's App Store policies in general, but from a distance looks like the focus is on mobile advertising: both Apple and Google have made aggressive moves into the space in recent months, and both have come under regulatory scrutiny. We'll just have to wait and see how this one plays out -- there's still no official word from either agency on what's happening, and the timeline of any potential investigation and lawsuit will be measured in months and years.

Janco study claims Windows 7 has more users than Vista

Windows 7 was very anticipated by users in the business and consumer world after Vista was not well adopted due to a litany of issues. When Windows 7 was announced it was expected to be adopted quickly as people looked to upgrade from Vista and XP.

A new study has been published that claims Windows 7 already has more users than Vista after only 7 months on the market. According to the study by Janco Windows 7 has 14.8% of the OS market today.

Windows 7 is doing well and while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still the most popular browser, it is losing market share according to the study. IE has 67.73% of the market and Firefox has 17.88%. Google has 5.4% of the browser market leaving Mozilla with 1.36% and Safari with 0.98%.

Gates: Microsoft still likes tablets; pen-based computing isn't dead

Say this for Bill Gates: He stands behind his favorite trends, even when they haven't turned out to be much in the way of trends.

Appearing with Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway lieutenant Charlie Munger for a wide-ranging interview on Fox Business Network, the Microsoft chairman made it clear that the company isn't giving up on tablet computing -- despite the news last week that it's dropping its Courier dual-screen tablet project, and the unconfirmed report that HP won't be using Windows 7 for its upcoming slate computer.

“Microsoft has a lot of different tablet projects that we're pursuing," said Gates, according to a transcript provided by the network. "We think that work with the pen that Microsoft pioneered will become a mainstream for students. It can give you a device that you can not only read, but also create documents at the same time."

Jay Chou wary of marriage

Taiwan superstar Jay Chou as admitted in a recent interview with a Taiwan men's fashion magazine that he feared marriage.

The singer, who was once romantically linked to soon-to-be-married television host Patty Hou, told the magazine that he did not have an urge to marry despite Hou's impending nuptials.

"Sometimes, I am glad that I am not the guy getting married. Watching them march into the wedding hall, having a wife and children, actually feels like a mirror which tells me not to get hitched too early. My heart will cry out that being single is great," said the 31-year-old.

He also could not understand why the public is interested about his future marriage plans.

"I don't understand why everyone is so concerned, my mother is not even worried," said Chou.

When asked if he liked a certain type of girl, Chou said that he "did not have specific requirements" but believed it was important to have "the right feeling" when choosing a girlfriend.

Artists Admit to Losing Virginity at Age 17 and Younger

Recently, Wang Sum Ling’s ex-boyfriend, Fan Chih Wei revealed that she lost her virginity at age seventeen. This sparked recent discussion among netizens as to the age when several popular artists lost their virginity.

Edison Chen Koon Hei- 13 Years Old

Growing up in the United States, Edison Chen lost his virginity when he was thirteen years old. He started having one night stands when he was fifteen. He was very sexually open and was quoted saying, “Making love is one of my favorite activities.” Perhaps he spent too much time pursuing his “favorite activity,” as he was embroiled in the celebrity nude photo scandal in 2008, which involved Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, and other actresses.

Samsung Android tablet (S-Pad) to come in August with Super AMOLED display?

Samsung is reportedly readying a 7-inch Android tablet for later this year. The tablet could be called Samsung S-Pad and should run Android – thus being a good alternative to Apple’s iPad (which runs iPhone OS).

According to ET News, the Samsung S-Pad tablet will be launched in August – first in South Korea, via SK Telecom. The tablet will be the world’s first to feature a Super AMOLED display (like the Samsung Wave and Samsung Galaxy S phones), and it should also come with 3G, Wi-Fi, USB and access to Samsung Apps.

The price of Samsung S-Pad is not known at the moment.

Soccer's Biggest Stars Strip for Vanity Fair

Ladies, you now have a reason to like soccer. Several reasons, in fact.

With the World Cup approaching, Vanity Fair is publishing some revealing photographs of many of the sport's biggest stars – wearing a lot less than they will in South Africa when the games begin next month.

Among the hunks showing off their battle-ready physiques in the Annie Leibovitz portraits: Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba, USA's Landon Donovan, Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o and Brazil's Kaká. For an added dose of patriotism, each player strips down to underwear designed in the colors of his nation's flag.

8MP Motorola Shadow To Be Droid2 ?

Those in the know have been tapping their noses wisely, whispering that the Shadow will be the successor to the Droid—the Droid2, if you will. Latest speculation includes the addition of an 8MP camera with 720p video capture.

This comes after Nokia dropped its N8-shaped bomb last week, a 12MP-equipped, 720p-shooting phone. There may be a few extra megapixels on the N8, but the Shadow has one massive feature going for it—Android. Specifically, Android 2.2, known as Froyo.

The Shadow has resurfaced this week as it's been submitted to the Wi-Fi Alliance, with specs such as the 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, mini HDMI output, and 512MB memory leaking out.

Apple granted design patent for iPhone 3G, 3GS

Hot on the heels of the "ornamental design" patent covering its original iPhone and iPod touch, we've got a second USPTO patent granted to Apple covering what looks to be the more curvaceous iPhone 3G and 3GS. Jonathan P. Ive and Steve Jobs are among the inventors credited with the usual list of references including the LG KE850 Prada and Meizu M8 look-a-like devices. Don't get too hung up on the missing "home" button -- a US design patent covers any device "substantially similar" to the images above. What that means only a judge can say.

BlackBerry 9800 slider shows up again (with BlackBerry OS 6)

RIM’s first slider smartphone – apparently called BlackBerry 9800 – has been spotted in some new hands-on photos, which seem to show that the device runs BlackBerry OS 6.

Furthermore, BBleaks says that the BlackBerry 9800 will be Research in Motion’s first device to use OS 6, which can run on both touch and non-touch phones (like the BlackBerry 9670 clamshell).

The new photos of the 9800 are quite blurry and weird, as you can see below:

After these words, tears welled up in Show's eyes, even the fans in the audience couldn't help but start crying. Then Show got down and kissed the stage floor, showing his reluctance to part with the stage. Show, who has always been filial, didn't forget to thank his parents saying, "I'm really thankful for my mom who was here to support me from the first concert through the third, and for telling me everyday, 'Keep it up! You're really good, you're an international superstar!'"

Actor Lee Min-ho : Most Popular Korean Celebrity On Facebook

Actor Lee Min-ho, currently starring in the drama "Personal Taste", but best known for his role as Goo Joon-pyo in the drama "Boys Over Flowers", is drawing attention for his fan base on the popular social networking site, Facebook. As of May 5th, he currently has over 544,420 fans worldwide that are subscribed to his official Facebook account. This is a new record for any Korean star! Although this may not sound like a big deal when compared to some of the big Hollywood stars, it's still quite a notable amount. To put things into perspective, US actor Leonardo Dicaprio has about 296,831 fans while Korean group Wondergirls has about 241,294 fans to their name.

When broken down, his Facebook fans are made up of 25% Americans, 3% Koreans, and the remaining 72% of fans from 16 southeast Asian countries (including Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia) plus Canada and France. Though there are obviously some language barriers, due to fans being able to translate any information or updates from Lee in real time, this has not slowed down the Lee Min-ho fever.
