With Iron Man 2 busy overseas, Freddy Krueger and the "most disgusting horror film of all-time" cleaned up here.

The reborn A Nightmare on Elm Street led the weekend box office with an estimated $32.2 million, while the newly spawned The Human Centipede crawled to a big number at its solo theater debut.

But it seems Eva Mendes and Liv Tyler are happy to share their style.


The actress friends wore matching patterned floor-length maxi dresses - Eva's green, Liv's red - each teaming them with brown leather sandals and oversized sunglasses.

Walking hand-in-hand they nipped for a iced coffee yesterday, before looking around the exclusive Marc Jacobs store in West Village, New York.

The pair left with matching black bags - holding their designer purchases.

Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two to go up for pre-order on May 6th, shipping on May 13th?

Microsoft's always said its Kin phones would come to Verizon in May and Vodafone in the fall, and now it looks like an internal Verizon email has spilled the details for us: Kin One and Kin Two will go up for pre-order on May 6th, and they'll "launch to all channels on May 13th," according to these screenshots. We can't confirm it yet, but we'd imagine tween hearts are a-flutter all over the country. Just remember: Kin's not for sexting, now.

iPad 3G works on T-Mobile, can be hacked to send text messages

Here's a pair of interesting iPad 3G hacks for your lazy Sunday -- first, Apple's tablet is apparently unlocked out of the factory, so trimming a T-Mobile SIM to micro SIM size will get you up and running on EDGE with no further hassle. Not terribly useful in the States, but good news for Europeans who'll have several carrier options right out the gate. Secondly, MuscleNerd of the Dev Team has discovered it's apparently possible to send text messages from a jailbroken 3G iPad using a T-Mobile or non-iPad AT&T SIM -- the stock AT&T SIM restricts SMS and calls, apparently. Korea’s Brangelina, Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young became husband and wife today, ahead of the real Brangelina who will also wed soon.

On May 2nd, Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young held their wedding ceremony at the Shilla Hotel which has been hugely anticipated by many.

Around 500 people were invited and it looks like most of them showed up. This is one wedding I would love to be at since the guests were A-listers.

Show Luo: Starlit Warrior takes the stage; Thanks parents for raising him

The first of the 3 consecutive concerts for the "2010 Show Lo Wu Fa Wu Tian World Tour" at the Coliseum had taken place last night. Spending $15 Million HKD for stage effects, giving the audience of the Coliseum their first of AS-3D, and on top of that Show performed countless dances, each performance as spectacular as the last, heating up the entire crowd!

While Show was doing a pre-concert ritual, he had covered his head in a hoodie. The fans that were there all screamed, "Husband, Wishing You a Successful Concert!" But Show didn't seem to make too big of a response at the time, but greeted his fans in private later. When 8:30 PM came around, it had turned out that he had some purple in his hair, so he was saving that show it during the concert. His guest for the night was Stefanie Sun, and a boss Pang Wei Ren brought his lady companion to support the concert, and to avoid media cameras, Chen Hui Hong sat between the two .

Usher: “Talent Shows Are Ruining The Music Industry”

Just weeks after appearing as a mentor on the current ninth season of American Idol, Usher has blasted TV talent shows for contributing to the demise of the recording industry.

(This coming for a man who’s latest single is entitled “Lil Freak.”)

The multiplatinum-selling crooner is frustrated with hit shows like Idol and The X Factor, which he credits with making celebrities out of talented singers only to cast them aside months later.

“The true art form of music is being lost, because it seems so easy that everyone can do it, and that it can happen overnight. Television is a lie. It can’t happen overnight. The artist who thinks that it can just comes and goes,” he says. “The reason why great singers cannot exist in this time is maybe because they’re not properly managed, and maybe they don’t understand the full gamut of what being an entertainer is. We’re dealing with an industry that is slowly but surely dying, every day.”

Bumptop acquisition to give Google UI edge over Apple?

Google has acquired Bump Technologies, the maker of a 3D desktop called BumpTop, Bump announced Sunday.


"Today, we have a big announcement to make: we're excited to announce that we've been acquired by Google!," a note posted to the company's Web site said. "This means that BumpTop (for both Windows and Mac) will no longer be available for sale. Additionally, no updates to the products are planned."

Financial details were not disclosed, but the company said it would keep its software available for download for one week. A Google representative confirmed the acquisition but declined to discuss specifics of the deal.

Show Luo Suddenly Kisses On Rainie Yang's Cheeks

In yesterday's second show of Show Luo's 3D Show World Live Tour concert, Show invited his girlfriend from idol drama "Hi My Sweetheart" Rainie Yang as performing guest. The two acted like a couple that they held hands during performing. Rainie also leaned on Show's shoulders and bit his finger. When the two pretended to kiss on lips, Show suddenly kissed her cheeks and that caused fans to scream. Rarely exposing her back, Rainie wore a revealing top that showed backstrap of her bra.

Rainie said: "Today's outfit is sexier than the ones I wore during my concert, but it's just kinda transparent, good that I wore a pretty bra and took precautions. The crew said the stage is high and viewers won't see a thing if I exposed something, but I was afraid Show would see it!" Show laughed at Rainie exposed, said she made male fans who were sitting on the top to take pictures constantly. Talked about Show kissing her cheeks, Rainie said: "Just to suit with the MV scene, I pretended to kiss but I didn't know he would kiss me. He kissed on my cheeks too when we were filming. Show is very gentleman, I said he's daring after kissing me." Rainie joked if Show really did kissed on her lips, she would kick him away. Rainie then sang "Rainie Love" (雨愛).

[Video] English Subbed Jay Chou's Superman Can't Fly MV

As previously reported, Jay Chou released the first single, Superman Can't Fly (YesAsia Translation: This Superman Can't Fly) off his 10th album, The Era. Set to be released on May 14th, the album is already available as a Limited Edition pre-order from YesAsia.com.

The Superman Can't Fly lyrics, filled with Jay's feelings about his ten years in show-biz, has generated much discussion since its release. Additionally, there has been much criticism about the man chosen to star in the MV. Netizens have complained that he -- a stranger to Jay's fans, but a friend of Jay's - was not handsome and a bit on the chubby side. In defense, JVR stated that the choice to cast a non-artiste was to show how even a normal person can be a superhero.

The singer managed to upstage The Black Eyed Peas last night as the American band played the first night of their European tour in Dublin.

Cheryl looked stunning and showed off her toned legs in a pair of her trademark slashed trousers which she teamed with a sultry corset-style bodice.


The 26-year-old X Factor judge even managed to out-fox BEP frontwoman Fergie, with rapper Will.i.am declaring: 'Cheryl Cole's so sexy.'

Fergie slipped into a range of ensembles for the gig at Dublin's O2 Arena, including a robotic-inspired catsuit complete with a Terminator-style metal hand.

Nicholas Tse offered 10million yuan movie deal

After bagging double Best Supporting Actor wins for his role as a rickshaw-puller in the movie, Bodyguards and Assassins, at the recent Hong Kong Film Awards and the Asian Film Awards, Nicholse Tse's acting career is on the upswing.

With his acting capabilities reaffirmed by these two awards, he reportedly expressed his desires to "concentrate on filming movies" and has "little interest for drama series", according to his manager.

To seek Nicholas's participation in an upcoming drama series, a Chinese production company has offered the 29-year-old a staggering eight-figure paycheck of 10 million yuan. They requested for two months worth of his time and plan to commence shooting in Hengdian, China during July. It will be a period drama series featuring the likes of Charlene Choi and Kenny Kwan.

It is said that Nicholas is currently considering the offer. If he accepts it, he will be starting work immediately after Cecilia's confinement period.

Groups SNSD/Girls’ Generation and 2PM have released a teaser video for their upcoming Caribbean Bay promotions.


The video shows off Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri, Nichkhun, Taecyeon and Chansung getting ready for work as lifeguards at Everland’s Caribbean Bay Water Park. Luckily for us this involves a lot of locker room changing scenes. This is some seriously hot stuff with the girls showing off their slim figures and the guys showing off their chiseled abs.

If the lifeguards at the park really look like this I just might have to go down there and fake drowning (unless I get one of the dudes).

Nokia N98 leak validated by N8, is there a QWERTY slider brewing up in Espoo?

Just gaze upon those curves up above and tell us what they remind you of. Yes indeed, the Nokia N98 -- which seemed so futuristic we were inclined to dismiss it as the product of a hyperactive imagination -- is today looking all too credible thanks to the obvious design similarities it shares with the officially released N8. Starting with the distinctive tapered edges with contrast coloring, moving through the black bezel-sporting display, and jotting down to the positions of the Nokia and N00 logos as well as the Options menu, the viewer can't help but be convinced that this February leak came with no small portion of truthiness to it. Now, we don't live anywhere near Espoo, so we can't tell you whether this was just a precursor to the N8, which lost its physical keyboard and N9x naming scheme to become the beastly media phone we know today. But wouldn't it be lovely to believe Nokia's working on all cylinders and planning to introduce a 4-inch QWERTY variant of its new flagship?

DBSK's Xiah Junsu intoxicates you with his PV!

Earlier today, the teaser for the PV of Xiah Junsu’s solo track, Intoxication, was released.


It wasn’t a long wait, but the full PV has finally aired!

The song was written by Junsu himself, and is a medium-tempo ballad. However, after listening to the song and looking at the choreography in the PV, it seems like it’s more of a dance track. But fans are rather enjoying the aggressive dancing and the perfect vocals. The album will officially be released on May 26th.

A Considerate Good Man, Ella helps Jerry Yan as Marriage Seeker

CTV / GTV Idol drama (Down With Love) arrives at the supermarket for filming. Seeing how considerate his gestures are, leading lady Ella praises male lead Jerry; exclaiming he is a good man. Facing the camera, she expresses her desire to help him 'jing fan'. Having heard this, the timid Jerry was left to scratching his head.

With this scene, it was originally written such that Ella would be seated in the shopping cart with Jerry pushing. While filming, Ella got really excited and requested for a role reversal so that she be the one pushing the cart. Jerry immediately refuted by saying, "I don't want that; it's too dangerous!" With that, Ella responded "He's so considerate! A true gentleman." While continuing to face the camera, she playfully turned the discussion to match making; jokingly stating that she wants to be his 'jing fan'.
