Twilight star Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas fuel romance rumours with coffee date

Joe Jonas has already dated some of the most eligible teen stars, including Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Camilla Belle.

But it looks like the singer may have moved onto another teen idol - Twilight actress Ashley Greene.

The handsome couple were spotted leaving Greene's LA apartment yesterday morning, doing a spot of shopping at a nearby mall and grabbing a cup of coffee together.

Looking relaxed together, the pair smiled and talked, but kept a safe distance as they walked from the car to the coffee shop.

Greene, 23, and Jonas, 20, were first linked last month after they dined together at The Ivy in London and also attended a Kings Of Leon gig together.

Video: Lindsay Lohan Poses for 'Inferno' Lingerie Photos

In this exclusive, behind-the-scenes video, photographer Tyler Shields transformed Lindsay Lohan into the vulnerable Linda Lovelace for her upcoming film 'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story.'

In the video, which was shot back in May, Lohan strips down in a candid shoot and opens up about the role, in which she plays the late porn star. 'Inferno' director Matthew Wilder, who shoot this footage, admits Lohan had the ability "to go in and out of very extreme emotions in a blink."

Microsoft launches Apple-baiting PC vs. Mac site

Perhaps it was the sight of Justin Long and John Hodgman wafting into the night, dragging their jokes behind them, that made Microsoft feel a little bolder.

Yes, now that the "Get a Mac" campaign seems to have been retired by Apple, Microsoft has launched a touching attempt to reverse some of Apple's sweet and amusing put-downs.

Microsoft's new creation is a site called "PC versus Mac". Yet if you're looking for a joke or two as you weigh up your options, you will have to search very, very hard. There are no images of bespectacled gray-bearded men in loose Levi's. There are no stray comments about antennas or fanboys.

The site is a very anodyne affair. Garlanded with an image of a presumably perplexed woman who is, perhaps, worrying whether she is cool enough to buy a Mac, it offers straight comparisons of facts and entirely unbiased opinions.

Android 2.2′s Audio Streaming Sounds Terrible, But A Fix Is Coming

Android 2.2, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system that is now being deployed to popular devices like the Droid and Evo, is a speed demon. Unfortunately, it’s also tone-deaf: the OS comes with a strage flaw that makes your headphones sound like a pair of tin cans whenever you tune into a streaming music service like Pandora or MOG. Music that sounds great on the same device running an older version of Android suddenly sounds muddy with tinny highs — you can make out the notes and lyrics, but they’re no longer enjoyable to listen to.

I first noticed the problem a few weeks ago and was sure that my Bluetooth headset was to blame, but we’ve since gotten multiple reports that other users have had the same problem. Numerous forum threads have popped up about the issue, as has this lengthy bug report on Google Code. According to comments on the bug report, the problem is related to Android’s switch from the OpenCore media framework to Stagefright. The latter supports HTTP progressive streaming, but cannot properly handle the AAC+ and eAAC+ media codecs — which are used by some of the most popular music streaming services.

Fortunately, a fix is in the works. A Google spokesperson tell us:

“We have fixed the bug, and are working with our partners to update the affected Android devices as quickly as possible.”

Google doesn’t have a timeframe for when the fix will be deployed (it sounds like it will vary by device), but hopefully it will be in the very near future.

Nokia N8 now on pre-order in Germany and France: €479, €459

On pre-order in Italy since last month, the Nokia N8 is now also on pre-order in Germany, where Nokia offers the new Symbian^3 smartphone for a price that’s higher than the one seen in Italy: €479.

That’s also €109 higher than the N8’s initial price announced by Nokia: €370. Of course, taxes are, in part, to blame.

Unlike Nokia Italy, which says the N8 will be out in September, Nokia Germany doesn’t say when customers should expect to receive the handset.

Anyway, I think September is the month when the N8 will be available in most European countries.

Looks like everything is in line for a August 12th launch, no?

Miriam Yeung fears Real Ting jealous, not inviting Louis Koo to concert

Miriam Yeung will be holding her first Hong Kong Coliseum concert in October since her marriage. Yesterday the organizers announced that 1 more show is added, making it a 5 show concert in total. It proves that Miriam protected her pop queen status despite becoming Mrs. Ting.

Miriam will not tolerate lost, she will first invite Eason Chan as her guest performer, but does not want to bother Louis Koo, who she was once rumored with. Clearly, she does not want to make Real Ting jealous, being a responsible wife to her husband.

Tickets sold out

Pre-order of tickets to Miriam's concert is full, the e-ticket system is also jammed. Fans have to wait in line to buy tickets for 28 hours for front seats. For this reason, the organizers decided to add another show. Miriam laughed: "Wah! I really found out I'm still good to have after opening this concert!" Towards opening her first concert after marriage, Miriam expressed that there is some emotional barrier. Although there is still pressure, she has confidence that she will do her best. Asked if marriage gave her more energy? Miriam said: "Of course when one reaches this stage in life, one will feel better emotionally. Facing any type of situation, would be more peaceful and calm."

Xiao Gui Accepts an Award in HK, Regrets Missing Ah Sa

Xiao Gui (Alien Huang) received the "Most Hit Newcomer King" award at the Metro Radio Mandarin Hit Music Awards in Hong Kong, but was unable to fulfill his wish to see Ah Sa who he admires. However, he was satisfied having fans accompanying him the entire night. Fans waited at his hotel entrance in the wee hours of the morning at 2am, waiting to hold a street celebration. Seeing hundreds of fans with enthusiastic support, Xiao Gui called out: "Their close actions make me love Hong Kong even more."

However, what he regretted was missing Ah Sa Charlene Choi who he's all along greatly admired. From the bottom of his heart, he looked forward to having the chance to meet her, but he didn't expect that after Ah Sa performed on stage, she was guided by staff to a different seat, making Xiao Gui let out a big sigh that he missed a great opportunity. He forced a smile, saying, "I guess I have to wait for next time's awards ceremony."

Jennifer Aniston: I Need a Twitter Account for Rumor Control

Did making The Switch get Jennifer Aniston to think about possibly making the switch to single motherhood?

"Of course," she tells E! News' Kristina Guerrero. "You know, as life evolves and as things change. Also, we have so many options and choices these days, which is quite a wonderful thing. Way more than our parents did in the day."

As for the kind of mom she would be, the 41-year-old actress insists she will "absolutely not be a pushover...not strict, but boundried."

Of course, if the relentless gossip mill had its way, Jen would already have enough rugrats to rival the Octomom…

"I guess I just can't have that extra burger on the weekend," she jokes about the constant speculation that she has a bun in the oven. "I should just get a Twitter account just for rumor control because if I get one more phone call from my Mom going, 'Jenny, I know you said you'd tell me if you're pregnant or getting married, but Aunt Jean just called me.'"

Might not be a bad idea. For the sake of all the Anistons.

Is Julia Roberts the New Kristen Stewart?

My kids don't think Julia Roberts is a real star anymore. But Eat Pray Love is going to be huge, right?

Let me guess: Your kids think Jason Statham is the sickest actor on the planet and that no one human being can possibly have more fame particles per square inch than Kristen Stewart.

Yeah, no:

Box office prestidigitators fully expect Eat Pray Love to dominate theaters this weekend, or, at the very least, contend for the top one or two spots. They largely credit the source material—Elizabeth Gilbert's wildly successful and profoundly self-indulgent memoir by the same name.

But they also point to Roberts's enduring, everygirl brand, which is a perfect fit for this movie and, therefore, almost guaranteed to bring in cash.

Yes, it's been decade since Roberts last headlined a picture—Erin Brockovich came out 10 years ago—but it's also been about that long since Roberts has done a movie that really brings out what people like about her. Now that she's back in true form, yes, analysts say, this is Roberts's official comeback.

White iPhone 4 Sneaks Out of Factory In Black iPhone 4 Box

How do you get your hands on a white iPhone 4? Well, you could always wait until "later this year." Or, you know, smuggle it to Hong Kong in a black iPhone 4 box. Like this one here allegedly was.

The above appears to be a 32GB white iPhone 4, with a white headphone jack and dock connector that suggest its legitimacy:

How long will Microsoft support XP, Vista, and Windows 7?

In an ideal world, old versions of Windows would roll off Microsoft’s list of supported products and be replaced by new ones at regular, predicable intervals. That upgrade cycle has been anything but smooth and predictable in recent years, however. Microsoft’s support policy is still returning to normal after XP was allowed to live well past its normal retirement date and then got multiple extensions to placate customers who just said no to Vista.

I was reminded of this confusion earlier today when Matt Gardenghi asked a great question via Twitter:

Where would I find a list of supported MS OS versions? Trying to determine what’s in support and what’s out of support.

Microsoft product lifecycle policy is actually quite coherent and easy to understand, at least on paper. I wrote this two years ago in How long will Microsoft support XP and Vista?:

Microsoft has a well-documented support lifecycle for its software products. It’s part of the agreement that the company makes with everyone who installs Windows, especially business customers who want some assurance that they’ll be able to get updates and support for operating systems and applications even if they choose not to upgrade to the latest and greatest.

Verizon rumors: LTE, Android 3.0 tablets, a Droid Pro, and more

BGR's lined up a handful of very believable rumors for Big Red today -- and if you're an Android fan, you're going to want to pay very close attention (heck, even if you're not, you should probably take a look). First up, Motorola's said to have a full-touch Android 2.2 handset in the works with global roaming capability on GSM and presumably HSPA -- a first in the CDMA Android world -- that apparently looks a bit like a Motorola Q (without the keyboard, of course). Interestingly, we've recently been clued into a global roaming Moto from a trusted tipster of ours with the codename "Venus" that's slated to enter internal testing on the 27th of this month, so that lines up pretty nicely with this rumor -- but Venus could also be another global Android smartphone allegedly in the pipeline from Motorola, the Droid Pro. As its name suggests, BGR says the Droid Pro will be a monster, featuring a 1.3GHz core (faster than the 1GHz Droid X and Droid 2) and a 4-inch screen with a target street date in November -- just in time for the holidays. There are also apparently global Android handsets in store from Samsung and HTC; additionally, our tipster tells us that there will be a Motorola "Ciena" sans global roaming, a phone could possibly be that WX445 we saw not long ago. It's entering carrier acceptance testing on the 17th.

Jolin channels Amit for new album cover image?

Jolin Tsai’s image for the cover photo of her upcoming album, “Myself”, was revealed yesterday. Jolin appeared in a futuristic look wearing a white-colored wig. Fans couldn’t help but think that her new look seems to be rather similar to Amit’s. Warner Music explained, “Jolin has already worn a white wig in her ‘Perfect’ MV four years ago, it’s just that she’s trying a shorter hair style this time.”

Warner Music emphasized that trends are a form of recycling. White, orange, red, and pink colored wigs have all been worn by other stars previously. Warner Music further expressed that Jolin picked white hoping to give her fans a fresh feeling, and definitely had no intention of “copying” Amit’s image. Jolin’s new album was originally scheduled to release today (August 10), but in order to meet the high demands for her pre-order items: Headphones, re-usable shopping bag, and photo album, the release has been pushed to Friday August 13th. (which by the way, is also the same day that Leehom Wang's new album comes out.)

Warner Music will be signing the winner of One Million Star's season 7. Yesterday, Jolin went to the recording of the first episode. In addition to performing her latest single, “Honey Trap”, she also shared her past experience as a contestant, “In the beginning, I participated in singing competitions for fun. My mom would do my makeup and I would get my hair done at the salon. Good thing that I never performed any dancing during the competition because I would have definitely been cut!”

Leo Ku in a New Series With Super Junior's Heechul

Leo Ku returned to television industry lately and will film CCTV's youth drama <<青春旋律>. along with Michelle Wai, Deep Ng. Leo would play a repeat student and play Michelle's boyfriend. Super Junior's Heechul and Super Junior-M's Zhou Mi would also join the cast. The scripts are mainly Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean. Leo would have scenes with Heechul and yesterday the two didn't forget to take pictures together. Leo only knew simple Korean to greet. Because there would be a translator plus they have plenty of time to rehearse, there shouldn't be a problem to film.

Michelle, who just arrived yesterday, frankly said she isn't too close to Leo, but won't worry it would affect when they're filming romantic scenes: "Leo takes good care of me and Deep. He is very nice. I believe we can get closer soon."

Leehom tells you "All The Things You Never Knew"

Revealing yet another song and more scenes from his to-be-released album and movie, respectively, Leehom is adding to the already high anticipation in the air. As we all know, Leehom delayed The 18 Martial Arts release to the same day as Love in Disguise, creating disappointment in many. However, with merely two days left until the big day, Leehom has released the MV and theme song for Love in Disguise , "All The Things You Never Knew" (你不知道的事), which will be included in his upcoming album.

Zac Efron: Jealous of Shia LaBeouf, In "Real" Relationship with Vanessa Hudgens

Zac Efron sometimes wonders why he isn't a Hollywood playboy, but it suits him just fine.

"I think a lot of guys would enjoy that. But I'm not really like that. Believe me, I rack my brain thinking 'Why am I not out there playing the field?' One of my buddies was like, 'You have no idea what's going on right now. You're peaking on Ecstasy and you're watching TV.' But it's not in my heart," he tells Details in the magazines newest issue.

The 'Charlie St. Cloud' star describes his relationship with Vanessa Hudgens -- whom he has been dating since they met on the set of 'High School Musical' -- as normal. "It's exactly how it should be. It's real."

Efron also discusses his recent fight with poison oak, why he turned down 'Footloose,' his admiration for Shia LaBeouf's attitude, and how Tom Cruise taught him to ride a motorcycle.

"I don't even want to know [why]. It's just so cool that he gave a sh*t, the fact that he cared at all. No one else did that," he says of the 'Top Gun' star's tutelage.

His bout of poison oak: Dude, it's like everywhere. Everywhere. I can't even begin to show you, 'cause you'll get so grossed out. I look like a zombie from 'Dawn of the Dead.'

Hayden Christensen & Rachel Bilson Call Off Engagement

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially ended their engagement.

Reports surfaced a couple months ago that the duo were on a break, but now the split is permanent. "Yes, the engagement is off," Bilson's rep tells PEOPLE, but declined to provide details on the breakup.

Distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split. With Bilson primarily in L.A., and Christensen in Canada, "It just wasn't working out," says a pal of the actress.

Now Bilson is "focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward," adds the friend.

Christensen, 29, and Bilson, 28, met on the set of Jumper in 2007, and got engaged in December of the following year.

Google and Verizon's net neutrality proposal explained

After a week of rumors hinting at Google and Verizon brokering some sort of net neutrality "deal," the two companies made some waves this afternoon with a hastily-arranged press call during which CEOs Eric Schmidt and Ivan Seidenberg emphatically denied any sort of formal business arrangement and instead put forth what they called a "joint policy proposal" -- seven principles they say will preserve the open internet while allowing network operators the flexibility and freedom to manage their networks.

What's interesting is that the announcement comes just few days after the FCC declared its closed-door net-neutrality meetings with ISPs and other interested parties to be dead -- it's odd for Google and Verizon to claim their new proposal is just an extension of their joint statement in general support of net neutrality from last October when it's very clearly an articulation of a specific plan that was undoubtedly proposed and rejected during those failed meetings.

Motorola Droid 2 specs and release date leaked. Again.

By now, the Motorola Droid 2 for Verizon is clearly the most leaked handset in history. At least in recent history. We know so much about it already, that the fact that Verizon and Motorola still haven’t said anything official about it is becoming slightly ridiculous.

That may all change tomorrow, hopefully, if one of the countless previous leaks is to be believed.

Today’s leak comes from Verizon’s InfoManager page, and is basically an exhaustive list of all the Droid 2′s specs. It also quotes the now famous August 12th release date.

At this point I’m willing to bet that this thing will be officially out on Thursday. This is not the first, not the second, not the third, but the fourth leak to state that particular date.

TVB to Film HK Version of Mainland Series 'Dwelling Narrowness'

Although "Beauty Knows No Pain" and "Mysteries of Love" are accused of plagiarism, but TVB doesn't mind and would continue this trend, copying Mainland's hit series "Dwelling Narrowness." This HK version would start filming next month and titled <<抉宅男女>>. Linda Chung, Joyce Tang, Ron Ng, and Michael Tse would be in various relationships. Michael Miu would pair with Sonija Kwok. Linda's character is just like "Hai Zao" in "DN," who would not hesitate to commit indecent deals in order to climb up to the ladder.

As for this new series is obviously copying "DN," producer Cheung Kong Man didn't feel there is a problem: "You need to share good things with others and promote it. New series would talk about housing problems. It's the same in Shanghai and Hong Kong, housing is a problem residents are facing. It's also a way for viewers to vent their emotions."

Currently busy filming "Yes Sir, No Sir," Linda said she already received DVDs of "DN" and plans to watch it right away after work: "Producer already told me to pay close attention to 'Hai Zao.' (Copying obviously?) I'm an actor. My responsibility is to portray characters well."

Singer Hikaru Utada to Go on Indefinite Break in 2011

Singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada has announced on her web diary on Monday that she will go on an indefinite hiatus from her musical career starting next year. Before she takes time off, she will release her Utada Hikaru Single Collection Vol. 2 album this fall. This will be her first "best-of" album in six and half years, and it will include her recent songs such as "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro," "Be My Last," and "Beautiful World," as well as new material.

Utada explained in her Monday message that since she began her musical career at the age of 15, there is a part inside her that stopped growing. When she will return to music is still undetermined, but she said that she feels it will probably be after she has had time to grow a little as a person and naturally wants to share her music again. She added that she does not know if it will take two years, five years, or however long it will be.

SS501’s Park Jung Min has officially joined a new company and is going solo. On SS501’s official website, Park Jung Min wrote an entry to his fans to explain and inform them of his situation.
