A shower scene with Angelina Jolie? In your dreams Johnny Depp, says jealous partner

Featuring Angelina Jolie in a naked embrace with Johnny Depp, it was expected to be the steamy highlight of new crime thriller The Tourist.

But it appears that Depp’s long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis has won a battle to axe the sexually explicit scene, in which the A-list pair were to writhe together in a shower.

French singer Paradis, 37, who has two children by the actor, was so distressed over the script’s passionate theme that she begged Depp to pull out of the project, according to a Hollywood source.

‘She put pressure on Johnny and finally he said he wanted the shower scene out,’ the source told The Mail on Sunday. ‘He told the producers it cheapened the movie and I am assured that his wishes are being honoured.’

According to a copy of the script leaked to New York celebrity magazine Life & Style, Depp, 47, plays American tourist Frank Taylor who seduces Interpol agent Cara Mason, played by Jolie, 35.

'House' scoop: Olivia Wilde plots her return!

Olivia Wilde — aka the beloved Thirteen — has some good news for House fans: She will definitely return to the Fox drama this season! Wilde took a leave of absence this fall to shoot a starring role in the big-budget sci-fi Western Cowboys and Aliens but confirms to EW that her comeback is already in the works.

“I am coming back to House. This season, as a matter of fact. It is a done deal,” Wilde told EW while attending the 19th Annual BAFTA LA Britannia Awards Thursday in Los Angeles. “I have been really lucky this year to be offered all these great film opportunities and I was also blessed to have a job in TV that really worked with me to get me to a place where I could do those films and not miss those opportunities like Tron.

“They have it all worked out and the viewers will find out where she went and why she left,” Wilde continued. “I think it is an interesting progression for her. Thirteen has been through a lot so it has to be escalated. She has Huntington’s. She had a brain tumor and went blind. She had a bad breakup. She’s sexually ambiguous. She had problems with drugs. I thought, `What else can (creator) David Shore possibly come up with?’ They had to take it to a whole new level. They are really taking some big risks this year, which is exciting.”

Until then, Wilde said she’s working on the body-swapping comedy The Change Up with Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Mann and Jason Bateman. “We’re shooting in Atlanta. It is so boring and dull. No one laughs. We just sit around and cry all day. [Laughs]. No, it is absolutely the funniest job.”

HTC HD2 runs Windows Phone 7, makes us yearn for more (video)

HTC HD2 owners have been trying to shoehorn Windows Phone 7 onto their hapless devices practically since day one, but it looks like a port won't make it into the wild before the platform's formal US launch. That doesn't mean you should give up hope, however, because one variant seems to be at least partway done, winding its merry way from boot through the splash screen and deep into the speedy UI in a far more convincing video demo than the last one that hit our inbox. Though no apps are actually demonstrated nor so much as a basic phone call (pretty please?), multitouch pinch-to-zoom appears to work just fine, and we've little doubt any remaining quirks will be worked out in due time -- if not nearly as soon as new HTC HD7 owners migrating from the HD2 might have liked. Video after the break.

PSA: Apple's iPhone may not wake you up on time tomorrow morning

Apple is warning iPhone users that the daylight savings time glitch that plagued Europe affects US iPhones too, meaning you'll wake up an hour late if you rely on the Clock app built into the device. Though Apple representatives say there's a permanent fix in the works, it's not due until iOS 4.2, so the company suggests you set a new alarm today if you want to rise on time. Since the bug apparently only affects certain repeating alarms, you can create a new one-time alarm (i.e. with the repeat option set to "never") instead, and the iPhone clock will take care of the rest. Don't be the gal or guy blaming your tardiness on failed technology, folks, when it's this easy to be able to point the finger at traffic, family, or spontaneous bouts of dance fever instead.

Dell's Stage UI headed to Streak, also unofficially works on EVO 4G (video)

The first time the words "Stage UI" passed our lips, they were in relation to the Dell Thunder leak, but now we're hearing that Dell's custom Android user interface will actually appear alongside Android 2.2 when the update finally arrives on the five-inch Streak. We've just learned that's going to happen this winter in Japan when the Streak launches on SoftBank at the very least, as both are advertised for early December there, but we expect we'll see the updated OS even sooner in the US and Europe for obvious reasons. What's more, an unofficial build of Froyo that leaked out for the Streak last month has since been found to have Stage UI on board. StreakSmart's got a video of a custom ROM running a series of Dell-specific widgets on the Streak, and sister site Good and Evo managed to trick the very same software to run on a rooted HTC EVO 4G. You can see examples of both on video after the break, but here's the basic idea behind the UI -- giant panes of contacts, apps and shortcuts that fill an entire screen each, but leave your app drawer accessible at a swipe. If you're feeling daring, you can try the ROM for yourself at our more coverage link. Just be careful flashing that new baseband, eh?

Joey Yung loses big award: I am not unhappy

The "Four Station Music Awards" announced its suspension for a year yesterday, shattering Joey Yung's dreams of getting the "Media Award" for the 4th time. Chances of winning "Album Big Award" for singers such as Leo Ku and RubberBand, popular picks for "Song Big Award" Joey Yung, Leo Ku and Miriam Yeung, and "Outstanding Performance Award" G.E.M, Raymond Lam and Sherman Chung all vanishes. EEG and East Asia both express that they will not be participating in the "Four Station Awards" anymore.

Last night, Joey attended TVB's program Stars Shine Jiangmen (群星閃耀江門情) and responded to the news calmly, she said: "Don't know how to look at it, don't understand. Strategic decisions, let my company decide, I am not unhappy. (EEG didn't discuss with you?) No, it's not just me who was affected. The awards ceremonies and the media award are encouragement to singers, every one wants to give an award to their favorite singer. I am just doing my job, don't want to be linked to so many things."

Gillian Chung also supports: "Let our company decide, I don't feel that it's a pity, Joey's great effort can be seen in anyone's eyes, just there won't be a media award. Every singer is hard working, the awards does not represent all."

Han Chae-young to Make Chinese Film Debut

Actress Han Chae-young is poised to expand her fame after deciding to make her debut in China with the film "Big Deal" directed by top female director Ma Liwen.

The film will also star Taiwan's Blue Lan, who appeared in the popular TV soap "Meteor Garden," and Hong Kong's Chapman To, who starred in the film "Infernal Affairs."

"Han has been a leading model for commercials in China due to the popularity of the TV soap 'Sassy Girl, Chun-hyang,'" HS Media chief and Han's casting director Jason Jang said. Her popularity in Chinese-speaking world has soared and she is being sought after by producers and directors there.

"Big Deal" is to be released in over 1,100 cinemas across China as well as elsewhere in Asia and in the U.S.

'Megamind' Edges 'Due Date' at Friday Box Office

The nefarious supervilliam Megamind narrowly defeated the comedy team of Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis at the North American box office on Friday.

The 3D Megamind, the latest animated pic from DreamWorks Animation, bowed to $12.5 million as it entered the market place in 3,944 locations. The PG-rated Paramount release, featuring the voices of Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt, opened slightly better than DWA's last feature How to Train Your Dragon, which debuted to $12.1 million and went on to gross $43.7 million on its opening weekend in March.

Warners' road comedy Due Date, directed by The Hangover's Todd Phillips and starring Downey and Galifianakis, was close behind in second place. As it arrived in 3,355 theaters, the R-rated movie collected $12.3 million for the day.

For Colored Girls, the weekend's other new wide release, took the third slot. Director Tyler Perry, moving into dramatic territory with an ensemble cast exploring the problems faced by African-American women, took in $7.4 million. The R-rated Lionsgate release set up shop in 2,217 theaters.

Lionsgate also fielded the No. 4 picture for the day -- its horror tale Saw 3D, which took in $2.7 million as it began its second weekend as its gross-to-date moved in $30 million territory.

Rounding out the top five was Summit's action pic RED, which pulled in $2.5 million as it entered its fourth weekend. Par's Paranormal Activity 2 was close behind in the sixth slot with $2.3 million.

Playing in just four theaters, Fox Searchlight's 127 Hours, director Danny Boyle's first film since Slumdog Millionaire, drew curious crowds. The film collected $77,057 for the day, for a per-theater average of $19,264.

Love and Other Drugs Costar on Naked Anne Hathaway: "Wow!"

Anne Hathaway confessed she was a crying wreck when taking it all off for her role in Love and Other Drugs with Jake Gyllenhaal, but according to her costar, who catches a glimpse of her hot bod in the film, Annie's got nada to feel bad about.

"I was like, 'wow!'" the hilarious and talented Josh Gad told us at the AFI Fest for the flick's premiere.

"It was very interesting. You don't expect when you sign on to any job that your first day on set is going to be one of Anne Hathaway taking off all her clothes and saying, 'Here I am!' "

Read on to hear just how naked everyone gets:

"She is gorgeous," Josh said, saying A.H. has nothing to be nervous about when her lovely ta-tas hit the big screen.

"I was nervous, and I just showed my ass. I can only imagine what she's dealing with," Gad said. "But she was just unbelievable about it all."

Jake Gyllenhaal, who does plenty of nudity despite some scenes having hit the cutting room floor, also understood Anne's fear.

Indamixx 2 Atom-powered MeeGo tablet touts rockstar looks, $999 price tag

Indamixx -- get it?! -- may be a relative dark horse in the race to tablet supremacy, but those looking for something a touch outlandish can't possibly ignore the company's latest. The self-titled Indamixx 2 slate has just recently broke cover, with a prototype boasting Intel's single-core 1.66GHz Atom N450 (a dual-core chip is slated to hit the finalized version), 2GB of RAM, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output, Ethernet socket and analog audio input / output jacks. There's no exact word on the screen size or resolution, but the kicker is the software -- this guy's loaded with Transmission 5.0, a music-centric OS that's actually built around MeeGo.

The creators say that they chose MeeGo due to its fondness of multitouch inputs, and based on the videos we've seen of it running, it definitely looks like a wise choice. Moreover, those looking to use this for more traditional tasks will be thrilled to know that they still can, and considering that it's Linux underneath, the limits are near-endless when it comes to tweaking options. For those in no position to wait for the final build, you can hit the source link in order to snag "beta hardware" for $999; we're hoping that those who wait will be treated to far more sensible pricing, but there's no question that we're intrigued either way. Hop on past the break to see this bad boy get down.

Lily Allen Hospitalized With Septicemia Blood Poisoning Following Second Miscarriage

British pop star Lily Allen has been hospitalized with blood poisoning just days after suffering her second miscarriage, spokesfolks for the “Smile” singer said Saturday.

Allen was around six months pregnant when she lost her baby earlier this week, just two years after she miscarried another child. Lily had been expecting the baby with her builder boyfriend, Sam Cooper. According to UK newspaper The Sun, she was rushed to hospital after complaining of stomach pains, but medics were unable to save the baby boy, who was three months premature. On Friday, doctors admitted the 25-year-old to a London hospital after she was diagnosed with septicemia, a potentially life-threatening condition characterized by bacteria in the blood resulting in fevers, chills, rapid breathing, and increased heart rate.

“Lily Allen is back in hospital, where she is being treated for septicamia,” says Allen’s publicist, who says the star is responding well to treatment and thanks fans for their messages of support.

“She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve. Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers.”

Earlier this week, a devastated Lily indicated that she was unwell to fans Twitter.

“I’m still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you xx.”

Why Big Bang are legitimate artists and not just another Hallyu act

Male group Big Bang has successfully differentiated themselves from many Korean artists debuting in Japan by relying on their raw talents alone. Consequently, many believe that the group is leading the new wave of male Hallyu stars because they have firmly established themselves as legitimate artists in Japan.

The group performed at the “Seoul Tokyo Music Festival” on November 3rd, held at the Saitama Super Arena. The festival was created to celebrate SBS’s 20th anniversary, and was a collaboration effort with Japan’s TBS.

Over 16,000 fans in their teens and 20’s gathered to see the performances by Korean artists, but Big Bang’s stage managed to garner the hottest response.

A representative of the festival verified Big Bang’s popularity by stating, “The ‘Seoul Tokyo Music Festival’ was very much like a personal ‘Big Bang Concert.‘” While other artists performed 2-3 tracks at most, Big Bang sang a total of five.

Their success can be seen in other areas as well.
