Stephenie Meyer on Breaking Dawn Drama: "There Is No Drama"

We always know something big went down in Twi-land overnight when we wake up to hundreds of frantic tweets and emails.

It seems the media-shy Stephenie Meyer had some choice words regarding yesterday's Breaking Dawn update, in which we reported she and Summit can't decide on how to film the fourth Twilight book.

Here's what Meyer posted:

Is that a message to Russell, Katy?

Miss Perry fuels pregnancy rumours AGAIN by wearing 'Be Afraid' crop top

Cryptic Twitter messages, visits to a baby store - and now this.

Katy Perry did nothing to dampen speculation she was pregnant today after going to the gym wearing a crop top, emblazoned with the warning 'Be Afraid'.

The loosely-fitting white T-shirt with black lettering cheekily exposed the singer's belly, fuelling rumours she could be pregnant with fiancé Russell Brand's child.

Ke$ha Expected To End Susan Boyle Billboard Reign

The party girl is going to kick the Scottish lady to the curb this week, as Ke$ha's "Animal" will triumph over Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" in the Billboard 200 chart that will be unveiled on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

While the chart hasn't been finished yet, label sources indicate that what was originally thought to be a race between the two albums last Wednesday turned out to be any easy win for Ke$ha.

Her "Animal" album was initially projected to sell maybe 100,000 copies in the week that just ended on Sunday, Jan. 10. However, sources say it actually sold about 150,000 copies, easily beating Boyle's "Dream."

Edison Chen wishes to portray a psycho killer

Edison Chen was embroiled in a highly controversial scandal in 2008 involving many famous female artists, nicknamed "Artists' Nude Scandal", which happened 2 years ago. Edison is ready to return to the spotlight with his fashion line and acting career expansion. Earlier, he accepted an interview with Star World's "Asia Uncut" program to discuss the events of the past two years.

Nude scandal is "intangible gift"

The host of "Asia Uncut" asked Edison how he faced life during the two years with his scandal, which rocked all of Asia's news reports. He replied that back then, he was definitely on unsteady feet. "I didn't even know if I was the perpetrator or the victim." In the past two years, he has had to face much unnecessary attention and barriers, and is thankful for the many good friends that have supported him through the hard times, thankful that this seemingly endless nightmare has finally ended. He describes this whole incident as "an intangible gift".

Google to stop censoring in China, may pull out

Google no longer intends to censor search results in China, and if the Chinese government balks, it may take its servers and go home.

The stunning change in Google's policy toward doing business in China--which was always a complicated dance--came after Google discovered that it and other businesses were the victims of "a highly sophisticated and targeted attack" aimed at gathering information about human rights activists. It is not clear whether the Chinese government was behind the attacks, which Google said in a blog post were also directed against other U.S. companies.

Adobe Systems later confirmed its involvement in the attacks with a statement:

Adobe became aware on January 2, 2010, of a computer security incident involving a sophisticated, coordinated attack against corporate network systems managed by Adobe and other companies. We are currently in contact with other companies and are investigating the incident. At this time, we have no evidence to indicate that any sensitive information--including customer, financial, employee or any other sensitive data--has been compromised.

Why Google will win the smartphone race: Products in the pipeline

In the end, Google and Android will own the smartphone market. It won’t happen this year and it may not even happen in 2012 but the day is coming when Android becomes the de facto standard for smartphones.

This we know: Multiple manufacturers have reported that Android phones are on the way including up to five from Motorola this quarter and a number from Samsung this year. Google also has a number of handsets in for testing and should be rolling them out after the Nexus One.

While product in pipeline is also nice, I think the real value is in the software. At CES we saw Dell and Lenovo releasing Android phones running Android but without – and this is important – major Google branding or applications. This is, in the end, why Android will soon rule the roost: carriers can remove functions as it sees fit, thereby creating entirely new versions of the OS and UI for their own purposes.

Da S nervous filming stripping scene

Barbie Xu (Da S) portrays a kind-hearted motorcycle girl in her latest film "Hot Summer Days" and has a very eye-catching new look. This look is completely different from anything else she has ever acted as before, complete with tattoos, smoky eye makeup, short skirt and a sexy top. "I had to cut my hair short to match the look for the movie, and it was a hard decision. I've never had my hair this short before!"

Director Chan Kwok Fai further revealed that on the day Da S was to reveal her explosive look, she hid in the washroom for 20 minutes and refused to come out. Why? She explained that she had never been dressed so revealingly outside of her own home, and having to face the camera while stripping off her clothes piece by piece, leaving only her bra, she was extremely nervous and stressed out. However, the introvert Da S broke through the psychological barrier and managed to film other scenes, including revealing an exposed back, showing her professionalism.

Microsoft calls Android 'free like a puppy,' we can't decide if that's a bad thing or not

At first glance, this quote by Windows Manager James DeBragga doesn't make much sense. But it's actually a relatively reasonable metaphor.

He compares Android to a puppy thusly: sure, you can get a puppy for free, but then you've gotta housebreak it, take it for walks and train it. It takes a lot of work to turn that puppy into a properly-behaved dog.

And really, that seems to be true based on the initial experiences of Nexus One owners. But then again, that's one specific case. Every mobile platform, including Windows Mobile, has its issues. Are Android's really worse than most?

'American Idol' Premieres, Victoria Beckham Faces Off With Simon Cowell

The ninth season of "American Idol" premiered Tuesday night (Jan. 12) on Fox amidst widespread chatter about Simon Cowell, who announced Monday he was leaving "Idol" to bring "The X Factor" to the U.S. in 2011.

"Idol" kicked off its audition rounds in Boston, Ma., with Cowell leading the judging panel alongside Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham. While the episode featured a somewhat predictable mix of trainwreck auditions, potential stars and tearjerker segments, Beckham's presence and behind-the-scenes news about Cowell added a new dynamic. After 22-year-old Bosa Mora's audition, the former Spice Girl adopted a stance much like Abdul once did and stood up to Cowell, asking, "Why do you do that?" when he rolled his eyes as she was giving feedback. "It takes so much nerve to stand there and do that," Beckham said of the contestant's performance.

Beckham is the first in a series of celebrity judges (including Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry, Shania Twain and Joe Jonas) to fill in for new "Idol" judge Ellen DeGeneres, who herself is replacing Paula Abdul. DeGeneres will not appear during the first series of auditions due to scheduling conflicts with her daytime talk show.

Michael Cera Robert Pattinson “Spider-Man” Movie?

On Tuesday, moviegoers were blindsided with the news that the next Spider-Man feature won’t star Tobey Maguire, and it won’t be directed by Sam Raimi. Apparently, Spidey’s going back to high school story. The bombshell announcement sparked a litany of debate of what young actor could possibly fill Tobey’s shoes — and a list of possibilities is already growing. Robert Pattinson might be just the man for the job, a new report claims. Pattinson and Superbad nerd Michael Cera are reportedly the top picks to replace Maguire as Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4.

Robert Pattinson as Spider-Man? Any thoughts on this?

Wedding for Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu in July?

Popular Japanese idol Oguri Shun and girlfriend Yamada Yu have returned to Japan after vacationing together. Japanese media has revealed that their vacation was very productive. They believe there's a possibility of them tying the knot in July.

According to Japanese media, the couple returned to Tokyo's Narita Airport from Hawaii on Monday night, taking a flight from Japan Airlines. Their manner was the same as when they left Japan four days ago - by going separately. While the two took the same flight, they avoided being seen together and came out one after the other. However, it was quite obvious the pair was together, as Yamada looked like she was holding onto Oguri's travel documents.

Even though they purposely avoided showing their relationship, the crowd of approximately 30 reporters still hounded Oguri about it, asking him questions like: "How was Hawaii? Did your relationship progress further?" While Oguri did not answer any of these questions, he did say, "We had a good time, but this isn't a pre-wedding vacation."

Claims of camera-equipped Apple tablet disputed

Conflicting reports have emerged this week on whether Apple's forthcoming tablet will include a camera, with one company executive suggesting the device could be used for Web conferencing, while a technology pundit disputes those claims.

In a brief mention Tuesday on his blog, Daring Fireball, John Gruber disputed a claim made earlier in the week by an executive with France Telecom. Stephane Richard had spoke briefly about the prospect of video conferencing with Apple's tablet.

"For what it's worth, I'm hearing there is no camera, webcam or otherwise, on The Tablet," Gruber wrote Tuesday.

France Telecom is the owner of wireless provider Orange, which exists in numerous countries across Europe. Orange on Monday issued a retraction to Richard's statements, and said the executive was "merely confirming that he is aware of the speculation surrounding a launch and that Orange would be delighted to have such a product were it ever available."

Yesterday Was Twitter’s Highest Usage Day Ever. Today Will Be Bigger.

For several months now, all we’ve heard is how Twitter’s growth, once rapid, is flatlining. And all indications are from the various third-party measuring sources is that this is true. But Twitter co-founder Evan Williams just tweeted a little surprise for everyone today: Apparently, yesterday was Twitter’s highest-usage day ever. And today will be even bigger, he continues.

While this is very interesting, it shouldn’t be all that surprising. Twitter’s new growth may be stalled, but the users that are already on the site seem to be using it more rabidly than ever. Remember too that a lot of the third-party measuring sites do not count the people who access and use Twitter through the service’s APIs. That means that all the mobile clients, all the desktop clients, and also all those who simply use Twitter via text message are not counted.

'Chuck' Star Zachary Levi Splits with Girlfriend

Chuck star Zachary Levi is back on the market. The actor, 29, has broken up with singer Caitlin Crosby after two years together, a source tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

"He broke up with her on Saturday after his big NBC premiere aired," the pal explains, adding that the couple had recently returned from a "great vacation" in Turks and Caicos and Puerto Rico.

Levi's reason? "He told her it was bad timing and if God brings them together in the future it's meant to be," the pal sniffs, adding that "this isn't the first time" the actor has tried to end things with Crosby.

"Guess he thinks he's too big a 'star' now," says the source. "No more Mr. Nice Guy."

Crosby, 26, changed her Facebook status to "single" on Tuesday afternoon. Also on the social networking site: a foreshadowing photo of the couple on their island vacation. "In the photo, he's drinking beer, and she's reading The Shack," the friend observed.

Daesung: Yang Hyun Suk says Big Bang is over?

On today’s episode of Kang Shim Jang, Big Bang’s Daesung talked more than just about his phonebook.

He told a story about how he would get a lot of prank texts from the members. One day, he got a text from 2NE1 Minzy’s number and it read, “Oppa, I love you.” Daesung got really confused and worried but he found out that Taeyang had sent it to him as a joke. The only problem was, that wasn’t the end of the prank texts sent by Big Bang members.

He got a text from Seungri’s number that said, “Today, can I sleep next to you?” It was actually G-Dragon who had sent the text. Daesung said he couldn’t trust his members because the pranks went too far and one day they all gathered and promised each other to stop doing them.

Then about a month later, all members got a text from CEO Yang Hyun Suk that said, “There is no more Big Bang. It’s over.” The members all thought it was a prank from another member so they suspected each other but it wasn’t done by any of them. They rushed to Yang Hyun Suk but it wasn’t him either. To this day, they have no idea who sent the text.

Joey Yung's eccentric "Joey the Fighter" look

Joey Yung's new ablum cover "Joey Ten" will be launched at the end of this month. It will be very bright and colorful and there will be 9 different covers. Following her last "Joey the Choffy" look, Joey she is dressed up in a tight colorful "Hogg Couture" wrestling fighter's outfit this time. Joey said she is very exited with the new "Joey the Fighter" outlook. She told reporter "I have never tried on a wrestling costume, and I have CD covers on my hair. That is a bit eccentric but awesome! Joey's costumes are full of metal studs, weighing 40 pounds. She looks absolutely cool in it. Joey went on to say she could smell the metal all over her body, including her hair. Joey added "Now I know it is not easy to be a rock fan! I have to sing and dance wearing this heavy outfit, worse than me dancing in high heels."

Sony Ericsson 'Faith' shows a lot of faith in demand for WinMo 6.5.3

We'd have guessed that the X2's lukewarm reception would've doomed Sony Ericsson's barely-there WinMo strategy -- especially since they've also got Android and Symbian to worry about -- but here we've got the first images of what's said to be the "Faith" running 6.5.3. Apparently part of the eco-friendly GreenHeart range, the portrait QWERTY set would represent distinctly new territory for the company if it actually makes it to market (a good deal of leaked Sony Ericssons don't) and would seem to suggest a renewed interest in working with Microsoft going forward -- possibly to get in on this WinMo 7 action everyone's talking about these days. The Faith has a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Euro 3G, and an honest-to-goodness touchscreen above the keyboard, giving it access to 6.5.3's headlining feature -- finger-friendly controls. We'd just as soon see these guys hold off for 7 and focus on Android in the meanwhile, but hey, who knows -- maybe there's some massive, untapped interest in a product like this after all.

Megan Fox’s Sexy New Ads for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans

Victoria Beckham’s ads as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear might have been sizzling, but her replacment Megan Fox gets temperatures rising in her new campaign for the Italian label — dressed in skimpy sets from Emporio Armani Underwear for seductive black and white photos. For her Armani Jeans campaign, the starlet debuts a stripped-down look, with damp hair, bare feet, and minimal makeup, and is dressed casually in a white oxford and jeans. The new series of ads, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, featuring the 23 year-old will be unveiled in February on billboards in fashion meccas like New York, Tokyo and Milan. Why Fox? Giorgio Armani puts it succinctly: “Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit,” he said, adding that his brands are “all about a youthful attitude, making her the perfect choice for the collections.”

4th-Gen iPhone coming April? OLED, dual-core CPU & removable battery tipped

What with all the talk about Apple’s potential iSlate tablet recently, we’ve almost neglected speculation about the fourth-generation iPhone. Rumors have reignited over in South Korea, however, as newspaper The Korea Times claims to have heard from carrier KT Telecom – Apple’s current carrier partner in the country – that the next-gen iPhone could arrive as early as April 2010 complete with an OLED display and video-chat functionality, as well as faster performance and more power flexibilty.

The insiders have suggested that the iPhone 4G will have both a dual-core processor and an improved graphics chip. No specifics were mentioned, but it’s been speculated that a new ARM Cortex A9 CPU might be responsible for the speed boost.

Meanwhile a removable battery is also tipped as “highly likely”, answering a common complaint about the last three iPhone models (the original, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS) that it was tricky extracting enough power to last through a full day. Video-chat likely means the inclusion of a front-facing camera for video calling, and a higher-performance main camera is also expected.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ‘Draft in Lawyers’

ANGELINA Jolie and Brad Pitt have drafted in their lawyers as the couple prepares to split, according to a new report.

The pair apparently had a string of heated arguments over the Christmas holidays and have finally decided to call time on their high-profile, five year romance.

The couple raise six children together. They have a combined fortune of almost $300 million and Angelina will apparently want at least 25 per cent of the money. They also have a huge art collection and various properties around the world.

“Ange and Brad are both sad that it’s come to this, but even they can’t stomach any more misery,” a source told the UK’s Now magazine. “They’ve decided to split for the sake of their sanity. If they don’t move on now, God knows what will happen.

“Brad’s pulling away more than Ange, but she knows she’s almost powerless to keep him. She feels her heart’s being ripped apart and she’s dreading her life having to go through the same thing, but it’s unavoidable because there’s so much at stake.

“It won’t be easy to end their union. Their fortune can be conservatively estimated at $300 million and of course they have six kids. This will be the ugliest break-up Hollywood’s ever seen.”

Singer Ayumi Hamasaki implicated in drug scandal

Japanese pop princess Ayumi Hamasaki's record label Avex Trax, a subsidiary of Avex Entertainment, has reportedly been trying to transfer her management rights for one billion yen (S$15 million) after the singer became embroiled in a drug scandal involving colleague Manabu Oshio.

According to Japanese media reports, Avex arrived at this decision to prevent her drug scandal from affecting the record label's stock prices, though industry observers say the figure is simply too low to be true.

Oshio was arrested in December last year on suspicion of giving recreation drug Ecstacy to a hostess who later died of an overdose.

The pair were at a residence in the prestigious Roppongi Hills area rented by Oshio's friend Mika Noguchi, a prominent businesswoman.

The police are investigating Hamasaki's links to the case as Noguchi is her close friend, though rumours are rife that it was Oshio who directly implicated Hamasaki in a bid to save himself.

Google charges additional ETF if you cancel contract early

Start sharpening your picks and dipping those torches in oil, I feel a riot coming on. You know those long contracts that we all get when we buy mobile phones and never read? The contract for that shiny new Nexus One from Google will bit some in the arse.

Phandroid reports that someone who actually perused the contract in detail has noticed the fact that Google will hit your credit card for the full purchase price of the Nexus One is you cancel with the carrier early. That is $529 for those who don’t know.

The real rub is that the cancellation fee is in addition to any early termination fees from the carrier. I am not sure what gives with the extra ETF Google is looking to charge, but I am sure the swift and strong backlash this will cause will reveal more details in the coming days.

Katy Perry Sparks Pregnancy Rumors

KATY Perry has sparked rumors she is pregnant after being seen looking at baby clothes.

The I Kissed A Girl singer — who recently announced her engagement to British comic star Russell Brand — took a stroll around some children’s shops in Hampstead, London, on Sunday.

“Russell and Katy had a wander around Hampstead,” a source said. “They visited children’s shoe shop Cubs and had a lot of fun checking out all the little bootees.

“They then went to Cafe Rouge for a bit of lunch. Katy ordered scrambled eggs and asked for the eggs to be ‘well done’. And when Russell asked for a portion of chips she loudly announced to the waiter, ‘Hold the mayo’.”

Pregnant women are not allowed to eat freshly made mayonnaise because the recipe contains uncooked eggs, which are considered a health risk to unborn babies.

Apple Tablet Frenzy Hits New Heights

Now that this year's Consumer Electronics Show is history, gadget hounds are turning their attention to a rumored Apple event on January 27, when it is widely believed Apple will announce its mythical tablet device. With just over two weeks until the supposed event, rumors surrounding the Apple tablet are reaching a fever pitch.

On Monday, France Telecom deputy chief executive Stéphane Richard supposedly confirmed the existence of a tablet only to have the company later deny that he'd confirmed anything. One day later, several rumors surrounding multitouch and the worldwide supply of 10.1-inch screens are being added to the mix.

Channing Tatum Offers Details of Penis In Peril

We're not really sure what it is about today. First Megan Fox strips down and now Channing Tatum is talking about his man parts.

Not that we're complaining!

The Dear John loverboy graces the latest cover of Details and, between the photos and the rather intimate interview, what a package!

Simon Cowell Teases About Paula Abdul 'X Factor' Rumors; Thought America Would Hate Him!

'You'll have to wait and see,' departing 'American Idol' judge tells Ryan Seacrest.

With Simon Cowell's last season of "American Idol" set to premiere Tuesday night (January 12), rumors are already spreading about the future of the show, as well as who will be joining Cowell on his U.S. version of "The X Factor" in 2011. But when Cowell called in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Tuesday morning, just a day after he announced he's leaving "Idol," he left very few questions answered.

For one, Cowell would neither confirm nor deny murmurs that former "Idol" judge Paula Abdul would be onboard for "X Factor." "You'll have to wait and see," he said. "It's interesting. Ever since we made the announcement, everyone's been on the phone."

Earlier in the broadcast, Seacrest wouldn't say whether he would join "X Factor" if asked to host, but Cowell said a host had already been tapped to join. "Does the 'X Factor' have a host? Yes, it does have a host," he revealed. "What is its name? You'll have to wait and see."

Apple, It's Time to Delete Safari From the iPhone

It took only a few hours: Apple has banned ForChan from iTunes, a perfectly innocent, web-based, dedicated image browser for the iPhone. Its only sin: It could display porn. Well done, Apple. Let's delete Safari now.

ForChan could connect to any image board web page and show pictures. Photos of dogs, cats, birds, food, cars, planes, flowers, scenes of summer, winter, and fall, or anything in between. Anything including boobs and buttocks:

Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu Pit Against Each Other on Weekends. Ella Puts In Her Best, Carrries A Fridge to Climb Stairs!

With TTV and SET's [Autumn Concerto] gaining wide popularity recently, not only has Xiao Xiao Bin become the most popular child actor, but Vanness Wu's status also rose to be one of Idol Drama's No.1 Male Leads - a changeover from his previous days. During the earlier days of [Meteor Garden], Jerry Yan was the most popular among the male leads; hence, it would be evident soon if he could regain his "Number One" when his idol drama - [Down With Love] makes its debut telecast on 24 January 2010 via CTV and GTV.

In the earlier years when Jerry was the hot favourite among F4, Vanness was more like a supporting role. Recently [AC] clinched the champion spot for viewership in idol dramas telecasted on weekends with its highest rating last week (on 3 January) being 7.76. [AC] is now trailing behind [Fated to Love You]'s rating of 10.91, and has become Taiwan's No.2 idol drama with the highest viewership. With the high viewership, Vanness also rose to greater fame. With the soon-to-telecast [DWL], it seemed that the "battle" between the former "F2" will commence. Will Vanness gets tougher as the competition gets tough, or would Jerry regain his No.1 spot - this attracted many's attention.

How many years does the Xbox 360 have left?

Although the Xbox 360 came out in 2005--just four years after the release of the Xbox--it seems that Microsoft isn't too eager to jump to the Xbox 720 (or whatever it will eventually be called).

Speaking at a briefing at CES over the weekend and originally reported by the Guardian, Microsoft senior director of Xbox product management David Hufford said that not only is Microsoft not rushing to get to the next generation of consoles, but that the Xbox 360 has a lot more time left.

"I think it's important to say that the Xbox 360 is the console of the long future for us," Hufford told those in attendance. "There is no need to launch a new console because we're able to give this console new life either with software upgrades or hardware upgrades like Project Natal. The Xbox 360 was designed for a long life, and I don't even know if we're at the midpoint yet."

It's an interesting take. Prior to Hufford's comments, it was Sony that dominated the talk over a console's lifecycle. Sony's team has said on numerous occasions that the PlayStation 3 is the only console that will stay relevant for 10 years. And although the PS3 is currently trailing the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, Sony contends that when it's all said and done, the PlayStation 3, thanks to its longevity, will win out during this generation.

f(x) and M.I.C.’s Lollipop MV is out!

After releasing a short CF for their latest endorsement, the full MV for f(x) and M.I.C.’s version of “Lollipop” has finally been released!

Although it is a bit strange to hear the girls singing Chinese rather than Korean, the song still has nice ring to it. The song has a fun, addictive beat and the music video definitely captures the vibe. Not to mention the eccentric outfits worn by the girls and their male counterparts.

Next 'Spider-Man' film will be a gritty, contemporary reboot of the franchise

The next Spider-Man film will be a reboot of the franchise, not a continuation of series Sam Raimi created back in 2002 — in a move similar to Batman Begins restarting the Batman franchise seven years after Batman and Robin underwhelmed fans and critics.

This time around, the series will place Peter Parker in a more contemporary setting, as a teenager battling today’s issues. The decision to go with an origin story stemmed from Sony developing two Spidey projects simultaneously. According to studio insiders, Sony was working on both Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 and the new origin story from James Vanderbilt, who wrote Zodiac. The original plan was to keep the Spider-Man gang together for one last film in 2011 before rebooting the series in 2012. When it became clear that Raimi would not be able to make the summer 2011 release date planned for Spider-Man 4, the studio opted to scrap Spider-Man 4 altogether, and focus solely on the series reboot.

Robert Downey Jr. opts out of 'Cowboys & Aliens' for 'Sherlock Holmes sequel'

Robert Downey Jr. has dropped out of Cowboys & Aliens, the Dreamworks/Universal sci-fi project that would have reunited the actor with his Iron Man director Jon Favreau. The news was first reported by the Los Angeles Times but only speculated on why Downey had left the project, which pits Old West cowboys and indians against a group of aliens with superior technology.

Now, a source inside the production tells EW that the star has a scheduling conflict with a Sherlock Holmes sequel. That film has not yet been greenlit by Warner Bros., but it is being fast-tracked based on the success of the first film. (Sherlock’s worldwide gross is fast approaching $300 million.) Warner Bros. commissioned a script by Kieran and Michele Mulroney back in September and is now locking down the cast for a June start date, exactly the time when Cowboys & Aliens is set to begin principal photography. Producers behind Cowboys & Aliens are sticking with original plans and are now looking for a new lead to play cowboy Zeke Jackson, the hero of the 2006 graphic novel from Platinum Studios.

Jude Law to Propose to Sienna Miller?

JUDE Law is set to propose to Sienna Miller.

The Alfie actor — who first got engaged to Factory Girl star Sienna in 2004 — has rekindled his romance with the actress in recent months and is now ready to make her his fiancee again.

“Sienna was always the one,” a source said. “And now she is back in his life he never wants to let her go again.

“Jude did some serious thinking over Christmas in Britain with his ex-wife Sadie Frost and the kids. And he realizes just how important family life is to him.

“He needs a good woman to look after him. Sienna’s fed up of the single life and wants to be with Jude for good.”

Sienna’s family are believed to be preparing themselves for a big announcement in the coming weeks.

“It’s only a matter of time before Jude pops the question,” the source added. “He and Sienna have never been happier together.”

BlackBerry Curve 8910 shows up in leaked photo

Yesterday, I was telling you about the BlackBerry 8910, which might come to replace the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (introduced by RIM in late 2008).

Well, it looks like the 8910 is indeed the successor of 8900, as a leaked photo of it has just appeared over at BerryReview.

As expected, the new and unannounced BlackBerry Curve 8910 has an optical trackpad instead of RIM’s traditional trackball. The smartphone also has a QWERTY keypad similar to the one the 8900 has, and it apparently runs BlackBerry OS 5.0.4. We don’t know much about the other features of the Curve 8910, but they probably include Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3.2MP camera.

Could the Wrong Price Flatten Apple's Tablet?

Expectations for an Apple tablet can't get much higher, and when and if Apple reveals one, it'll no doubt be an intriguing bundle of hardware and software. However, as we know them now, tablets represent a not-so-necessary missing link between smartphone and computer. Will Apple be able to convince us that we need yet another mobile gadget, or will its price put this mythical "iPod slate" out of reach?

As the Apple tablet rumor frenzy blows way past the level of a fever pitch, I'm starting to reconcile myself with the notion that we may -- within a few weeks -- finally hear from Apple. The company is widely expected to make a public announcement Jan. 27 or so, though again, the expectation isn't due to Apple, it's due to a report stating the company has rented a stage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Want to Play the US Version of Final Fantasy XIII Early?

Hop on the bus, Gus, and if you happen to live in San Francisco, you've got a shot at playing the US version of Final Fantasy XIII three months early. Square Enix's latest fashion fantasy game (i.e. FFG...see what I did there?) isn't due to ship in the States until March 9, 2010.

The press release claims to preview 'the North American' version, but I'd be surprised (not unpleasantly) if it's really full and final. My understanding was that the the US version--which unlike the PS3-exclusive Japanese release will ship here in both PS3 and Xbox 360 flavors--is still very much in process. That's practically confirmed by the tour's description of what you'll have access to as "never-before-seen demo areas." We're probably talking placeholder or currently finished English dubs (or subs) then.

Hivision Android netbook could be $149 [Video]

Hivision aren’t exactly a household name, but if you fancy the idea of a $149 netbook running Android then you should start praying that they become one. In some distant corner of CES 2010 the company had brought along their latest models, 7-inch netbooks based on ARM Cortex A9 processors with the Google mobile OS, and according to Charbax they’re not half bad.

The Cortex A9 CPU is also at the heart of NVIDIA’s newest Tegra 2 chipset, though of course the Hivision netbooks don’t have the 1080p graphical grunt. Still, even with just 500MHz on offer, Charbax says they’re “surprisingly fast” at web browsing over WiFi or ethernet.

Zune HD getting Xvid, Smart DJ, ever more appealing

We know you were put off by the whole Twitter censorship debacle last month, but Microsoft and the Zune HD have moved past that (honest) and they want you to come along as well. They're enticing everyone to forget about that bone-headed move by, well, throwing everyone a bone and adding in Xvid support, part of full compatablity with MPEG-4 part 2 Advanced Simple Profile. DivX will not be coming out to play, but Smart DJ will be, a feature that isn't so much new but is newly portable, providing a counterpoint to the iPod's Genius and, since you can use it to stream content from the Zune Marketplace (when connected via WiFi) it begins to approach the functionality of apps like Pandora or Slacker Radio. Tasty, indeed, though at this point we're not sure when Microsoft will be throwing us this juicy firmware update.
