Rob and Kristen Keep the Mystery Going

After three extremely busy days of promoting New Moon here in Los Angeles, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner now kick off their European photo calls, starting in Paris.

Oh, the romantic possibilities!

Before heading to Europe, though, Robsten did a very good job of evading photogs and possibly stealing a night for themselves. It's just more of the covert cuddling game they love to play so much—or is it?

Rob was driven out of the Four Seasons Hotel late Saturday night, where, coincidentally, Kristen (who was staying at L'Ermitage Hotel down the street) was spotted leaving at almost the exact same time.

There's speculation that the two went to K.Stew's parents' house, but luckily for Robsten, they were able to successfully lose the paps trying to tail their vehicles.

So how are Kristen and Rob balancing their celebrity and private life? We were able to ask Robsten this separately over the weekend, at the Four Seasons.

Check it out:

Having such an avid fan base, where and how do you draw the line between what the public wants to know about your private life and actually keeping it private?

"I don't think that anyone can get a handle [on that]," Kristen told us. "It's like as soon as I stopped trying to control everything that came out of my mouth and every picture that came out, that's when I became so much happier and it was so much easier to deal.

"I've just grown into not having to care so much and to not try to think that I'm going to be able to plan out the way that everyone perceives me... I'm going to own what I'm going to own. I'm always going to keep what's important to me in mind and I completely understand, considering that we're playing characters that are so coveted by so many people. I just sort of have to not think about it."

Heart this girl. You can tell she really does think a lot about what to say, but doesn't say things just because she thinks she should. Kristen speaks with as much serious intensity as she plays her roles.

Now, on to Rob:

How do you maintain the balance of letting your fans and the public know who you are—outside of just being Edward—but also keeping your private life private?

"I think you just do it through doing jobs," Rob says. "It's such a risky thing, doing interviews. I try to limit the amount of interviews I do. No one is that interesting, especially when you're not really saying anything. And I don't particularly want to be some kind of character in society.

"So, I guess the only thing you can do is do jobs and see if people respond to that. But I'm always holding on to the fact that I don't really know who I am, so hopefully I won't compartmentalize myself because of that. I'm just completely ignorant of the whole thing. I've never really struggled with anything, up until recently. I've got to stop being so self-deprecating 'cause people are starting to believe it. They'll be like, 'That guy is an idiot,' so I've tried to stop doing that."

You hear that, everybody? The "we're going to do as we please" game is majorly on.

Robsten's denying nothing. They're just owning their right to keep it real. And private. And we love 'em!

Jensen's Engaged! So Is Jackles in Trouble?

It looks like Jackles may be over.

The Supernatural costars—and super besties—Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki may need to redefine their relaysh now that Jensen is taking the next step with longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris.

Jensen's rep confirms to E! News that the two are indeed engaged.

So what does that mean for our favorite TV BFFs? Can they still find time to hang all the time, or will the missus be in the way?

We have a feeling Jared and Jensen will find time to do their guy stuff, but surely not as much since Ackles will want to be a good, attentive hubby.

Only problem: Where's the heat between Jensen and Danneel?

From what we hear through the kissy grapevine, the newly engaged lovebirds have about as much passion as Vince Vaughn and his fiancée, Kyla Webber. In other words: No one's actually seen it in action. Maybe these folks are all private and stuff?

Remember, soccer moms (who know everything, btw) told us how they thought Vince and Kyla didn't seem like a "couple couple"—totally heatless.

We're hearing rumblings of the same for Jensen and Danneel. I mean, jeez, don't tell us Jensen's gonna just end up being another George Clooney who struts around these quasi beauties with all the aplomb of a dog trainer strutting his latest prize furry thing?

Hey, maybe Hollywood's just made us cynical, and that's a good thing. A down-to-earth couple who can have a normal marriage, right? Lord knows there are just tons of those in Hollywood.

More importantly, what do you all think of the latest engagement?

Firefox At Five: 'Web Freedom May Not Last'

Web users risk taking online freedom for granted, a senior boss from Mozilla warns on the fifth birthday of the Firefox browser.

A not-for-profit collaborative rival to Microsoft, Firefox has dented Intenet Explorer's monopoly by snaring a worldwide market share of more than 23%.

Tristan Nitot, the president of Mozilla Europe, may be celebrating, but he has lost none of the passion of the Firefox "mission".

He believes web freedoms are under threat and younger users risk becoming complacent.

"They don't know they are lucky," the 43-year-old told Sky News Online.

"They take for granted that the freedom they enjoy is forever. I don't think it is like that. The internet is full of promise but the future is not bright unless we make sure it is."

A battle over who 'owns' the internet and whether it should be regulated is under way and the outcome could be hugely significant, he said.

"I don't think we should filter the internet. I think it should be neutral - that's exactly what enables innovation."

Censorship blights access in many countries and the companies who make web applications can exert more control than people realise.

"Applications like a browser are a set of instructions put together by a developer. It does a lot on your behalf and you lose a lot by delegating this. Its extremely important to remain in control," he said.

Since its launch in 2004, Mozilla Firefox has grown to become a genuine contender, overtaking Microsoft in more than a dozen countries including Poland.

Recent figures suggest the company added another 30 million users in the last eight weeks.

"The last five years have been successful and quite chaotic. If you think of the early days, there were 12 employees and only volunteers," Mr Nitot said.

"We were trying to take over Microsoft and that definitely sounded very, very silly - so if you ask me to predict the next five years I'm going to decline."

Christian Serratos Goes Naked for PETA

'Twilight' starlet Christian Serratos, 19, is the latest celeb to take her clothes off for PETA. Her TV credits include squeaky-clean shows like 'Hannah Montana,' 'Zoey 101' and '7th Heaven.'

Christian's naked ad debuts in the walk-up to her new movie. 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' opens November 20.

Britney Spears: Lip sync 'shock'?

Britney Spears brought the Circus to town, but probably not the way she was hoping to.

Fans have been complaining about the quality of the pop tart's performance Down Under, even walking out of her show in Perth, according to reports in the Australian media.

The cause? Disgruntled concertgoers apparently accused the pop tart of lip-syncing during the dance numbers, as well as giving a lackluster performance overall, according to the Daily Telegraph.

One story even claims she was "boring."

John Mayer, who is in Australia promoting his album, joined the pile-on Sunday night, tweeting, "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you."

And what were Brit's people saying? Read on...

The promoter of this tour leg refuted claims of fans fleeing the Circus, telling the Australian newspaper, "Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it."

Also issuing a nuanced response were reps for the Burswood Entertainment Complex where the Perth concert was held: "From Burswood's perspective, the event was a huge success."

Not sure how well that response will go over with the woman who told the Telegraph, "It was a waste of $200—I could have got four pairs of shoes for that."

Spears' manager, Adam Leber, also came to the superstar's defense via Twitter, claiming it was the work of a sole Australian journalist that sparked the lip-sync debate.

"It's unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did."

Tell that to the shoe-loving Spears fan.

Google buys mobile ad company AdMob for $750 million

Google announced that it has reached an agreement to buy AdMob, a California-based company that presents itself as the “world’s largest mobile advertising marketplace.”

Founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Omar Hamoui, AdMob will be sold to Google for $750 million in stock.

By acquiring AdMob, Google will further enhance its experience in mobile advertising. As mobile advertising continues to grow, Google will be able to offer more effective tools for creating, serving and evaluating mobile ads formats.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, however, both Google and AdMob have approved it.

More details on the deal can be found here.http://www.google.com/press/admob/

An interesting article over at Business Insider points out that Google agreed to pay that much money ($750 million) for AdMob because Apple may have also been interested in buying the company, since “AdMob has 80% of in-app advertising on iPhone.”

TVXQ is one step closer to breaking up?

The three members of TVXQ who have taken legal action against SM Entertainment are planning to work by themselves, according to their legal counsel.

When Sports Seoul asked the three members' legal counsel about SME demanding the three members to make a decision by the 12th, they were told:

"The three members are taking a break at the moment and are planning new projects. We do not plan on responding to SME's press conference. SME was ordered by the court to submit relevant evidences and they have been ignoring this order for almost 3 months now and they also have not been following any other court orders. Conversations with SME will start when they start respecting the court's decision. The court said that the three members may work on their own, so we do not need SME's permission on that. We are also seriously considering making criminal accusations against SME."

The three members are now planning their own projects separate from that of the five-member TVXQ and in no way related to SME. They also do not intend on responding to SME's demand for an answer by the 12th. So what will be of TVXQ's future? Stay tuned to allkpop as the TVXQ dispute has just taken a turn for the worse.

Justin & Jessica Catch Rihanna Show Together

Breakup rumors...what breakup rumors? Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stepped out to Jay-Z's concert last night at UCLA and got a surprise performance from Rihanna as well!

The couple watched the concert from the sound booth, where other celebs like Nicole Richie, Samantha Ronson, Tyrese and Taraji P. Henson were also hanging.

Although Ri-Ri (who tabloids recently linked to J.T.) was on stage, Jess and Justin looked as happy as could be during the entire show.

"Justin held Jessica's hand as they walked into the venue, and he literally held her the entire concert. They were dancing together and singing along to every song," an eyewitness tells E! News of their date night. "He even held her hand as they walked out of the concert."

They weren't the only cozy couple there...

Tyrese and Taraji were "very flirty," according to an eyewitness.

"Tyrese gave Taraji a piggyback ride, and they were playing around together throughout the entire concert," adds the eyewitness.

Sam seemed to be having a blast with Nicole, and Lindsay Lohan was nowhere in sight.

Maybe this time they've finally split for good?

Jay Chou Marches on to Hollywood Stage

Korean sensation Rain is taking a second shot at Hollywood stardom, this time as the hero in his upcoming movie “Ninja Assassin”. So if South Korea can try, then why not Taiwan? Based on this thought, everyone in Taiwan’s hoping that Jay Chou’s supporting role in “The Green Hornet” can be the country’s first Hollywood sensation.

Male Stars Kicking Ass, Female Stars Stuck in Three Stereotypical Roles

Hollywood previously cast Asian stars for their ability to strike with their powerful fists, but now they’re seeing potential in Asian stars for their ability to strike it rich for them. But unfortunately, Asian stars in Hollywood are often typecast into stereotypical roles.

From Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-Fat, and Jet Li to the more recent Lee Byung-hun, Rain, and Jay Chow, male stars were guaranteed to do martial arts roles. Female stars, in comparison, were typically cast in three kinds of stereotypical roles: 1) frivolous beauties, 2) degenerate women (such as sl*ts, prostitutes, and women cast off by villains), and 3) women with ass-kicking abilities.

In the eyes of Americans, Asians all seem alike, and they therefore think that they can just throw in any Asian actor or actress to play a specific Asian nationality. So while Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun-Fat rarely displayed his unnecessary martial arts skills for his role in the movie “Anna and the King”, he did play as the King of Thailand.

Even if few appreciated the Asian culture found in films such as “The Last Samurai”, the two Japanese stars from that movie in particular, Ken Watanabe and Hiroyuki Sanada, were hampered by having to brandish blades. Despite their great acting prowess, the two of them were unable to really get their foot permanently in Hollywood. Therefore, as Asian stars continue to come to Hollywood with dreams of striking it rich, in the end, they end up returning back to Asia to go back to their roots and rejecting all that Hollywood had to offer.

Director Ang Lee: Asia’s First Real Success Story

No sooner does one wave of Asian stars fail in their attempts to break into Hollywood, a new wave comes riding in with odds stacked against their favor. Director Ang Lee is an exception to that rule, achieving things that his Asian colleagues were unable to do: 1) In “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”, he was able to get Americans to watch a film with a rich Chinese flavor without either subtitles or dumbing it down, 2) in “Hulk”, he was able to operate a large movie production that was historically relegated to his Western counterparts, and 3) in “Brokeback Mountain”, he was able to produce a box office hit and capture many awards, all with a minuscule budget.

Ang Lee has repeatedly used his films to showcase different styles and issues, and with his success, one has only to ask, “If South Korea can try, why not Taiwan?” No one from Asia has done it before until Ang Lee. Let's see if Jay Chou can make it two in a row.

Ashley Greene: Even My Dog Is Famous from Twilight

Ashley Greene may not be the newest vampire on the block, but as she braces for more Twilight hype when New Moon opens this month, she still sees stardom as something very fresh – and shocking.

"It's crazy, right?" she tells the December issue of Maxim, out Nov. 17. "I think my dog is more famous than a lot of stars out there. I bet some people in Hollywood are like, 'I can't get my picture in a mag, but Ashley's pooch [Marlow] does?' It's mind-boggling."

But while Greene is adjusting to the pressures of the paparazzi, she makes it clear she brought this on herself.

"Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly! I worked my butt off for it because I absolutely love Alice, my character," says Greene. "She's sweet, sexy, and a killer! So when they told me I got it, I tried to play it all cool, you know, for about a minute."

But that attitude didn't last long. "Suddenly the Twilight blogs started picking it up, and then fans were there taking photos, and I'm on the news, and I was like, 'What?' And then I got really nervous."

So what's next? "I want to hit up James Bond," she says. "That would be awesome."

Sprint Palm Pixi unboxed on video

Oop, looks like the crew at WireFly didn't get the memo on the Sprint Palm Pixi launch -- they've gone ahead and posted up an unboxing video a week ahead of official availability on the 15th. Nothing too unexpected here, but honestly, what were you expecting for $100? Video after the break.

2PM comeback 1st full length album and title song ‘Heartbeat’ revealed!

Boy band 2PM's much-anticipated new album will be released tomorrow, according to their agency on Monday.

"Their entire first regular album, along with their title song, will be unveiled and available online on November 10," JYP Entertainment said in a press release.

JYP had started promoting their album through various events on their teaser website starting last week, first revealing a 30-second segment of a song and then releasing the entire song the following day. They released two songs from their upcoming album in the same way but neither songs had been the title track.

The last of their album's pre-release promotional activities came Saturday, where JYP released teaser video clips of each member and the sound of their actual heartbeats.

The formerly seven-member boy band had been at the height of their career when leader Park Jae-beom quit the group in early September over controversial comments he made about Korea on his MySpace account before his debut.

Fans have been protesting against Park's departure, calling for the former leader to be reinstated into the group but recent teaser images and videos show only the six remaining members.

Jennifer Lopez 'launches $10m lawsuit against first husband over his plan to release sex tape'

Singer Jennifer Lopez has won a court order barring her first husband from making their sex life public - at least for a day.

Lopez is suing Ojani Noa for $10 million, claiming he intends to make and sell a movie containing home video of the actress in sexual situations, including during their 1997 honeymoon.

A Los Angeles judge barred Noa and his producer, Ed Meyer, from distributing the material yesterday until a hearing later today to decide whether to extend the order, which Noa plans to fight.

Court papers show that the star claims Noa - who she divorced a year after their marriage - is planning to release a film entitled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J-Lo and Ojani Noa Story.

The mother-of-two claims the move represents a direct violation of a confidentiality agreement they signed a few years back, in documents filed on Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to TMZ.com.

Lopez - now happily married to Latino singer Marc Anthony - also claims Noa intends to market '11+ hours of previously unseen home video footage of Jennifer Lopez and Ojani Noa'.

The Monster-in-Law actress was reportedly told that the footage depicts her 'in a revealing lack of clothing, and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel room from [her and Noa's] honeymoon'.

The lawsuit marks the second time Lopez has sued her first husband, a chef and model to whom she was married for less than 11 months.

Noa did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment on the lawsuit.

In 2006, Lopez sued Noa over his plans to publish a tell-all book about their life.

It resulted in a California judge ordering Noa to pay Lopez $545,000 for breach of contract. Lopez said Noa had signed an agreement not to publish details of their relationship.

Lopez's latest lawsuit comes after her attorneys reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to Noa and some filmmakers, demanding they stop production of the film.

In court papers, her attorney claims that he received a letter from a producer working with Noa, who stated that he had 'entered into a contractual agreement' with TMZ for the 'exclusive rights to the... home movies.'

However, the website says that these claims are false, and that no such agreement exists.

Lopez, 40, is suing Cuban-born Noa for breach of contract and invading her privacy.

She is seeking $10million and wants a judge to ban the planned release of the movie and video footage.

Jerry Yan & Terri Kwan on reconcile trip to Thailand

Rumoured couple Jerry Yan and Terri Kwan was spotted by the Taiwanese media when they went on a romantic getaway in Samui Island, Thailand. Upon returning to Taiwan yesterday, Jerry was all smiles, but he refused to answer any questions regarding his secret holiday.

According to reports, in a haste to avoid further rumours about his secret holiday, Jerry went to Fuzhou to work first upon ending his holiday, before flying back to Taiwan en route Hong Kong.

While it was initially rumoured that their holiday destination was Bangkok, reports stated that they were actually in Samui Island for a week.

When asked whether he went Thailand with Terri Kwan, Jerry did not reply and just said that he went to lots of places. Terri’s manager confirmed that she did go to Thailand to visit its temples, but was unsure whether she met up with Jerry.

Jerry and Terri met while filming the Taiwanese drama “Starlit” and rumour has it that they became an item. However, it was reported that Jerry scolded Terri in his car in June this year and they broke up after that. It is said that this holiday to Thailand was a reconcile trip and they had invited eight other friends to tag along in order to keep rumours at bay.

'Ninja Assassin' misses the target

Humorless, preposterous, and soaked in blood, "Ninja Assassin" turns out to be thinly-plotted schlock from a team of pedigree filmmakers who should have known better. "The day Rain did his first scene in 'Speed Racer,' the Wachowski brothers called me and said 'This guy is unbelievable. He's a natural, our dream come true.' We began to plan 'Ninja Assassin' immediately afterward," producer Joel Silver said in an earlier interview.

Unfortunately for "world star" Rain, what was to be his breakout film falls way short of what "Enter the Dragon" was for Bruce Lee. No doubt that was what the Wachowski Brothers were aiming to do by gambling on a relative unknown in the Western world.

Rain plays Raizo, one of the world's deadliest assassins trained by the Ozunu Clan - an underground band of killers that has remained hidden for generations by posing as a mythical organization.

Robbed of his childhood, Raizo is transformed into a merciless Katana-wielding killing machine. Breaking free from their mountain lair, he plans to exact revenge on the clan for killing his first love.

In his quest for revenge, he gets help from a Europol agent Mika Coretti - played by Naomi Harris - who stumbles upon a money trail connecting a slew of high profile political assassinations around the world committed by the Ozunu.

As she begins to uncover the truth behind the murders, she too, becomes their target and is saved by Raizo when assassins emerge to kill her in Berlin.

By now, plots like these have become the silver screen version of painting-by-numbers in the same manner as Tom Clancy inspired techno-thriller novels.

But the plot does have all of the makings of a straightforward pulp action thriller, as its opening set-piece suggests. In it Raizo ambushes a gang of Yakuza members, with heads and limbs severed and buckets of blood everywhere.

The level of over-the-top ultra-violence established through this opener is unfortunately juxtaposed with a serious tone devoid of much irony.

The film is not a nod to pulpy B-grade kung-fu genre of the 70s, nor is it a polished action flick geared towards a mainstream audience. Instead it's stuck in the middle ground, in an area unlikely to appeal to fans of either genre.

When production on the film was announced, anticipation was high, as it was written and produced by the makers of The Matrix trilogy, with directing duties falling on James McTiegue, the veteran director who scored both a critical hit and modest box office success with 2005's V for Vendetta.

But it seems somewhere down the line the creative vision of the producers and the director clashed without either camp realizing.

Perhaps they realized during post-production they had a potential turkey on their hands - the film's marketing has focused on Rain and the physical transformation he underwent during six months of grueling training with the stunt and fight team that trained the actors in "300."

And the result is there on the screen. The 28-year-old actor is shown sans shirt as if he's allergic to fabric except for a leather jacket.

He's ripped. His female fans will love him - as long as they don't get too squeamish from seeing all the blood.

He does a decent job with the few lines he has throughout the 98-minute running time.

The verdict is still out on whether this will be his breakthrough role and it will be interesting to see if his star power alone will be able to generate enough revenue in Asia to warrant future high-profile roles.

James Cameron's 'Avatar' price tag: How about a cool $500 million?

You'd have to say that the New York Times' Michael Cieply is a pretty crafty reporter. He knew that the best way to get us to read a sober, intricately detailed financial analysis of 20th Century Fox's economic involvement in "Avatar" was to stick something in the lede that would grab our attention -- like the news that the movie's price tag was approaching $500 million.

How did he get that number, you may wonder. According to his story, the James Cameron-masterminded film (due out next month and still under lock and key) has a reported production budget of $230 million, but Cieply says that the price tag "would be higher if the financial contribution of Mr. Cameron and others were included." He says that when you toss in the cost of global marketing for the film -- he says Fox itself is planning to spend $150 million around the world -- the film would cost its various backers $500 million.

Cieply's story makes a compelling point about modern-day studio economics. When it comes to a mega-blockbuster like "Avatar," studios like Fox don't just hedge their bets. They involve a wide variety of partners who provide financial and marketing support for the studio's behemoth. According to the piece, a pair of private equity partners -- Dune Entertainment and Ingenious Media -- are picking up 60% of the film's budget. But Fox also has built-in protections from Cameron himself. If the film's final production costs topped $300 million, for example, Cameron would "effectively defer much of his payout until the studio and others were compensated."

Cieply says the film also qualified for tax rebates in New Zealand, since much of its digital work was done there. It also benefits from $25 million worth of technological and marketing aid from Panasonic, which pitched in to help the film in return for assistance from Cameron on Panasonic's upcoming 3-D home video systems.

It just goes to show that when you're in the blockbuster business these days, you can always count on a little help from your friends, who are all hoping to make a little money -- or enjoy some reflected benefits -- from a mega-event that casts a giant shadow over the entire Hollywood landscape.

Joey Yung as the Asia Game Show Ambassador

Joey Yung is the ambassador for this year's Asia Game Show. The other night, she was filming for the MV and the Ad for it. Joey climbed up to a 15 feet high roof for shooting and accidentally stumbled on her way up. Fortunately no accidents occurred. During filming, it was necessary for a great deal of smoke to be used, causing Joey to catch her breath while she filmed. She laughed and said: "My eyes need to breathe too!"

Joey's red leather costume modeling a young adventure girl. The costume was designed by Tomas Chan. Joey smiled: "This looks like a red lizard or cricket turned into a flat chest red chameleon." She frankly said that she does not know about the pay she will get for this job, but she's feels honored already, she said: "Many people fought for this job, Sammi Cheng, Denise Ho and Kelly Chen have all been ambassadors before, but I don't think it's too late for me to be one now."

Joey expressed that she didn't know that she would be a performer for the Asia Games opening ceremony, but that night when she saw the list of guests, she excitedly said: "Yeah! No Eason Chan!" She expressed that earlier when she had an opportunity to be a torchbearer, she felt really happy because as a Chinese person, definitely need to support Liu Xiang. Asked if she hopes to take a picture with Liu Xiang? Joey said: "We already did before! We also performed together on the same stage before too!"
