Anne Hathaway slips into a tight white dress for a euphoric night with Love And Other Drugs co-star Jake Gyllenhaal

Anne Hathaway traded the classic little black dress for a tight white number at the Hollywood premiere of Love And Other Drugs tonight.

The 27-year-old actress put her shape on show in the figure-hugging frock, which featured lace inset detailing and ruffled hips.

She was joined on the red carpet by her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, who looked dapper in a sharp suit and tie.

The pair, who starred in Brokeback Mountain together, play a pair of mismatched lovers who end up in bed for a large part of the movie.

Gyllenhaal, 29, said he became 'pretty intimate' while filming nude scenes with Hathaway for the film.

Samsung Galaxy Tab can be made to run all apps in full screen, here's how (video)

You might have noticed in our Galaxy Tab review that a number of pretty significant Android apps failed to scale to fully utilize its real estate, leaving an unpleasant black border surrounding their content. Well, you can now take that issue off your list of cons for this otherwise delectable tablet as our buddy JKK has figured out a way to overcome the scaling problemo. Using Spare Parts, a free app available in the Android Market, and a couple of reboots, he was able to convince the Engadget app to run in full screen on the Tab. He's right in guessing that we'd be happy about that, though we imagine owners of Samsung's slate will be the ones with the biggest grins on their faces right now. See the how-to video after the break.

Dell offering free Venue Pros to employees in exchange for their BlackBerrys

You'd think working for a big tech company would have its gadget-related perks and in Dell's case that's very much true. The big PC vendor has demonstrated its commitment to building up its own smartphone services by offering to trade employees' old and busted BlackBerry devices for the shiny new hotness that is the Venue Pro. If everyone takes up Round Rock on its offer, there'll be 25,000 RIM smartphones looking for new homes soon, along with a sprightly start to Windows Phone 7's time in the limelight. The Wall Street Journal reports this'll cut Dell's mobile communications bill by a quarter, thanks to no longer having to support BlackBerry servers, while also noting that Android variants will be made available in the future as well. Where there's Lightning, there's gotta be Thunder, right?

Joe Cheng angrily responds to critics: "I'm not gay!"

During a recent broadcast from a television program, mixed-European model/actress Larisa/Rui Sha of Taiwanese idol drama "They Kiss Again" asked her former colleague Joe Cheng if he was gay. Also recently, when Joe attended a celebration for the online drama "That Love Comes" with fellow mainland Chinese co-star Li Fei Er and was asked a similar question, the Taiwanese actor was initially shocked and then flatly said while shrugging, "I'm not gay. Everyone knows that I like girls." Fei Er chimed in immediately and said, "Of all the actors I've collaborated with, Joe is the most masculine one."

On the television program, Larisa revealed her private matters and stated that while she admired previous acting colleague Joe during "TKA", she later thought that Joe was actually gay. According to the European model, Larisa commented about the the famous male star "in three words: tall, handsome, well-mannered," followed with "but the media describes him with one word." Netizens pointed out that Larisa has also acted alongside male celebrities Jiro Wang and Ming Dao, and that among them, she was highly suspicious of Joe having homosexual feelings with Taiwanese actor Mike He.

Shu Qi has no hope for marriage

Some women bravely move forward for love, knowing each other for only 20 days before getting engaged like, Barbie Hsu (Da S). While some women whom have been hurt deeply by love, which resulted in depression no longer hold any expectations for marriage like, Shu Qi.

Shu Qi appeared on the cover of ELLE Magazine recently and during the interview revealed how deeply she was hurt by her former flame, Leon Lai. She had dated Leon Lai for 6 years and yet he refused to acknowledged their relationship. And if they bumped into reporters during their dates, Leon Lai would quickly leave without a word, leaving her to fend for herself.

This combined with the fact that the fans and Leon Lai’s father do not support their relationship led to Shu Qi’s emotional decline over the years which ultimately led to depression. She used a year quietly healing her wounds by learning Psychology for self-treatment. Right now, although she is more open minded towards her views on relationships, she bluntly said she does not harbour any expectations for marriage because she self professed to have no sense of responsibility.

When asked on her thoughts regarding the romance that blossomed between Leon Lai and his current girlfriend, Gaile Lok, Shu Qi replied “When you love someone, you won’t think too much about it; when you don’t love anymore, then just separate. When your fate is over, it’s over, we should not compare who loved more or less, we must all take responsibility for our actions.”

Box office preview: 'Megamind' to lead a monster weekend

After a few weeks devoted to horror geeks and Jackass freaks, the box office is set to explode this weekend as three very different films — each aiming for a particular audience — are unleashed for your consumption. For families, DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures are providing the PG-rated animated superhero comedy Megamind, starring Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Brad Pitt. For comedy lovers who prefer a bit more profanity and Robert Downey Jr. with their laughs, Warner Bros. (and co-producer Legendary Pictures) is releasing the R-rated Due Date, which is director Todd Phillips’ follow-up to last year’s surprise smash The Hangover. And, finally, director/writer Tyler Perry has assembled an impressive ensemble of actresses, including Kimberly Elise, Whoopi Goldberg, Thandie Newton, Kerry Washington, and Janet Jackson, for Lions Gate’s drama For Colored Girls. My scientifically verified and astrologically swayed predictions follow:

1. Megamind: $52 million

Paramount is anticipating the $130 million Megamind to debut to about the same figure as DreamWorks’ last original animated film, How to Train Your Dragon, which soared to a $43.7 million opening in March. But Dragon didn’t have the star power of Ferrell and Pitt, and Paramount’s been promoting Megamind with the fervor of a gubernatorial candidate. Megamind will also benefit from an extremely wide opening at 3,944 locations, two-thirds of which will be showing the comedy in 3-D. Add in 195 IMAX 3-D screens, a short running time of 96 minutes, and an audience starved for family entertainment, and I’m thinking this thing should have no problem topping $50 million. (By comparison, Universal’s similarly themed Despicable Me grossed $56.4 million its first weekend in July).

Demi Lovato Pal: Her Situation With Ashley Greene Sucks

"Ashley Greene and Demi Lovato did not have an altercation."

—Source close to Demi who is trying to clarify what really went down this past Saturday before Lovato checked herself into a treatment center

There's a lot of confusion about an altercation that went down between D.L. and a back-up dancer as well as an alleged war of words between Ashley and Demi.

So let's back up a sec:

A fight between Lovato and a dancer on her tour, Alex Welch, was really the breaking point for the Disney starlet.

D thought Welch may have tattled on some escapades from the night before, so when it all came to a head last weekend, Lovato realized it was best to take a break.

So where does Ashley Greene fit into all this?

As we said, the Twilight babe's rep denies conflict between the girls; meanwhile, sources insist words may have gone down between the two, but not an "altercation" (as emphasized by Demi's pal).

Google To Facebook: You Can’t Import Our User Data Without Reciprocity

The war between Google and Facebook is heating up: Google just made one small tweak to its Terms of Service that will have a big impact on the world’s biggest social network. From now on, any service that accesses Google’s Contacts API — which makes it easy to import your list of friends’ and coworkers’ email addresses into another service — will need to offer reciprocity. Facebook doesn’t, so it’s going to lose access to this key piece of the social graph.

So what does that mean in layman’s terms? When you initially sign up for Facebook, you’re run through a series of prompts asking you to enter your Google account information so that Facebook can import the email addresses of your contacts. This is a very powerful feature because it helps new users instantly connect with dozens of their friends. And Google is turning it off, because it thinks Facebook isn’t playing fair.

You see, Facebook has never allowed users to export the contact information of their friends. This has been a gripe against the social network for years, because there’s never been an easy way to pick up and leave Facebook with your own data in tow. But what, you say? Didn’t Facebook just launch a new feature that lets you download your information?

Yes and no. The feature lets you download content you’ve uploaded — photos, wall posts, videos, events, and messages. But the export feature leaves out the most valuable set of data: your contacts. Yes, Facebook will give you a list of their names, but it doesn’t attach any contact information: you don’t get their email address, phone numbers, or anything else another service could use to rebuild your social graph somewhere else.

That's better! Lady Gaga swaps towering platforms for SLIGHTLY more sensible wedges for second yoga session in two days

She stunned fans yesterday when she arrived for a session of bikram yoga wearing a pair of incredibly high platform boots.

But as she visited a west London yoga centre for her second session in as many days, Lady Gaga had obviously had a change of heart about which clothes are suitable to exercise in.

So, instead of teetering on huge black boots, Gaga wore a slightly more sensible pair of black and white wedge boots with a pink dress for today's yoga class.

Poker Face singer Gaga is clearly a huge fan of bikram yoga - a type of traditional yoga which sees devotees subject themselves to intense levels of heat to push their bodies further - and uses it to help maintain her slimline figure.

Gaga is making the most of her time in London before continuing her Monster Ball Tour in Europe.

Vic Chou refuses to comment on Barbie Hsu's marriage.

On November 2nd, Barbie Hsu (Da S)’s ex-boyfriend, Vic Chou (仔仔/Zai Zai) was bombarded by paparazzi during his arrival at the airport where he would be flying to Shanghai for the filming of his new show. Vic Chou (仔仔) wearing a face mask looked tired, he kept his head bowed and refused to answer any questions. Barbie Hsu (Da S) was seen at the Shanghai Airport and was believed to be heading to the filming of her new show Da Wu Sheng (大武生).

Faced with different types of rumours, Barbie Hsu wrote on her blog saying, “Each life has the right to breathe fresh air, and the right to enjoy freedom. Of course you can choose to smell, but don’t affect others, you can choose to shut yourself out, if that’s the case, you should shut it tightly and don’t disturb others.” It was also reported that when she heard about the third party accusation on PTT Network Forum, Barbie Hsu (Da S) broke down and cried on the plane, and left Beijing with a forced smile.

Michael Jackson: Posthumous album due in December

A new Michael Jackson album titled Michael will arrive in stores Dec. 14, Epic Records announced today via press release. The album will contain previously unreleased songs recorded during the final years of Jackson’s life, at least some of which have been completed by others after his 2009 death.

The first single from Michael, “Breaking News,” was recorded in New Jersey three years ago and finished this year. It will be streaming on Jackson’s official site for one week beginning next Monday, Nov. 8.

Michael is part of the 10-album deal with Sony that was announced in March.

Skyfire for iPhone hands-on (video)

Although Skyfire for iPhone is almost exactly like its Android counterpart, it's still not available for download in the App Store due to server issues, so we thought you might want to see how it works. We've seen improvements on the Flash-to-HTML5 conversion servers in the past day or so, which makes watching videos a breeze. The app itself serves as a fully functional browser with the usual features you'd hope to find: bookmarking, a dedicated search bar, custom homepage, and even private browsing. Pages render rather quickly, although scrolling and pinching to zoom is a little rough around the edges. As for actually watching Flash videos, it couldn't be easier -- once you've navigated to a page embedded with a video, a popup window will appear and you're good to go. Sadly, though, the browser lacks the ability to scrub videos. But hey, if you've been waiting three-plus years to play flash videos on your 3.5-inch display, Skyfire might (or might not) be the solution to your burning desire. Be sure to check out the browser in action after the break!

Rihanna gets into the festive spirit in a quirky red outfit as she turns on Christmas lights at London's Westfield Centre

Some people might argue it's too early to start thinking about Christmas.

But Rihanna got into the festive spirit today as she arrived to turn on the Christmas lights in London's Westfield Centre wearing a bright red skirt and quirky headscarf.

The 22-year-old singer teamed her colourful skirt with a chic grey wool bustier top and suede heels.

And luckily for her, Rihanna's bright red hair proved the perfect accessory for her festive outfit.

Rihanna was joined by a group of children from the Help A London Child charity as she counted down to illuminate the shopping centre, before performing for 100 lucky fans.

Alex Welch: Considering Legal Action Against Demi Lovato

Following Demi Lovato's admission that she's seeking treatment for numerous personal issues, details began to leak out over the incident that prompted this singer to take such a courageous step.

Almost all reports confirm that there was a confrontation at an airport in Peru between Lovato and a backup dancer on tour with her and The Jonas Brothers, with some sources claiming Demi blamed this girl for ratting her and others out for partying the night before.

Now, TMZ has identified the victim of Demi's anger as Alex Welch, a member of Beat Freaks, which actually earned the runner-up title on season 3 of America's Best Dance Crew. She also appeared in Justin Bieber's "Somebody to Love" video.

Witnesses say Welch had a black eye from a punch thrown by Demi, and that Lovato felt "awful" after it all went down. She apologized, left the tour and, of course, is now entering rehab.

But TMZ also quotes an insider who says this might not be enough for Welch. She's reportedly having discussions with lawyers and is considering legal action. Let's hope she doesn't go through with it, as Lovato made a major mistake and appears to be taking the steps necessary to rectify it.

Nominees for the ‘25th Golden Disk Awards’ revealed!

The ‘Golden Disk Awards‘ has recently revealed their nominees for its 2010 awards ceremony, set to be held on December 9th at Koryeo University.

The awards show first began in 1986, and since then, it’s become Korea’s most prestigious awards ceremony for music. Nicknamed the ‘Korean Grammy Awards,’ the ceremony is known for its fair standards, as the committee utilizes figures from album and digital music sales only.

Due to such simplistic standards, the show is able to feature the truly successful artists that have received the love of the public each year, including the ‘indie’ or ‘underground musicians.

Check out the nominees below!

Next James Bond Finally Bankrolled

Bond, back on.

MGM has delighted Ian Flemingites everywhere by striking a deal that will allow the 23rd James Bond film to start shooting in time for a November 2012 release.

The financially strapped studio, which filed for bankruptcy yesterday, told Bloomberg News that a partner with a 50 percent stake in the twenty-threequel will foot all the production costs but that MGM hopes to get full ownership back with subsequent Bond flicks.

Shop talk is almost as exciting as an Aston Martin going 100 mph, right?

Whether Bond 23's previously attached director, Sam Mendes, is still on board to helm a script that was supposed to be penned by Peter Morgan remains to be seen.

Daniel Craig, not having to suit up for MI6 just yet, went and signed up for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo—and its two sequels—along with The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and the thriller Dream House.

Incidentally, MGM is also looking for a third party to cover its $265 million-plus obligation for The Hobbit, which starts shooting in New Zealand in February.

Johnny Depp is ready to sink his fangs into Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows'

Several years into the pop culture vampire craze, the bloodsucker genre is still showing some signs of life — or undeadness, as the case may be. After years of kicking the idea around, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are finally set to start production next April on their big-screen remake of the cult vampire TV series Dark Shadows, according to Deadline. The macabre daytime soap, which ran from 1966 to 1971, starred Jonathan Frid as the vampire Barnabas Collins and worked werewolves, ghosts, witches, zombies, and other gothic goodies into its storylines. Burton and Depp — who will be making their eighth film together — are both longtime fans of the series; Depp has called it his “childhood dream” to play Barnabas Collins. Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote the best-selling novels Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, has been hired to work on the screenplay.

How the Dark Shadows schedule will affect the other projects Depp has reportedly been linked to — most notably, director Kathryn Bigelow’s next drama, Triple Frontier, co-starring Tom Hanks – remains to be seen. But given the complicated mythology of Dark Shadows, which included time travel, parallel universes, and a whole array of monsters, one could imagine it potentially becoming an ongoing franchise, à la the Twilight movies (which, just for the record, Depp and Burton, interviewed in February before the release of Alice in Wonderland, told EW they’ve never seen).

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Consider Bankruptcy

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have admitted in the latest issue of Life & Style magazine that during their time together, they blew a collective $10 million dollars and are considering filing for bankruptcy.

The couple, who split earlier this year, are now very much together and living in close quarters. The duo have traded in their $35,000 a month Malibu rental for a studio apartment on Pratt's parents' property. "My parents are my lifeline," he says.

The pair weren't just shelling out the big bucks on rent; they spent much of their fortune paying for Montag's now-defunct music career, multiple plastic surgeries, and healing crystals, for which they professed their love on 'The Hills.' So how were they so short-sighted about their financial future? "We thought 'The Hills' was going to be like '90210,' and we'd have another five to 10 years," says Pratt. "We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part."

MacBook Air battery shown to last two hours longer when browsing the web sans Flash

Let's be honest, Apple's claim that it neglected to preload Flash on the new MacBook Airs so that users themselves could download and install the latest (and safest) version was a bit of a red herring. Behind that thin veil of corporate courtesy, we're now seeing a pretty potent cause for Apple's dumping of Adobe's wares. Ars Technica's review of the 11-inch Air discovered that the machine could crank its way through six hours of web browsing when Flash was nowhere near it, but only four hours with Flash installed and giving it "the full web experience." The primary culprit was Adobe's penchant for using CPU cycles to display animated ads, which were typically replaced by static imagery in the absence of the requisite software. So yeah, it's not a surprise that a "richer" web would require more resources, but it doesn't speak well for Flash's efficiency to find a laptop loses a third of its longevity when running it.

Samsung Galaxy S now #1 in Japan, displacing iPhone 4

New estimates released Thursday by Japanese market research firm BCN place the Samsung Galaxy S at the top of Japan’s smartphone charts. The powerhouse it displaces is none other than Apple’s 32GB iPhone 4 — a handset that took Japan by storm when it launched earlier this year. For 18 weeks straight, the iPhone 4 had been Japan’s top seller. In its debut week, however, the Galaxy S managed to take the top spot, though only when considering the 32GB and 16GB iPhone models individually. Whether or not the Android 2.2-powered smartphone can maintain pace remains to be seen, but Samsung should certainly be pleased that it has a hit on its hands in Japan.

Photoshopped pictures of YoonA as a boy become a popular topic

Photoshopped photos of SNSD member YoonA as a male has been receiving a lot attention on Korean portal site Nate.

Recently, the photos were uploaded on various online communities where YoonA’s face was photoshopped onto various male idol’s bodies including The Quiett, SHINee’s Taemin, and more. In the photos, YoonA could definitely live up to the title of ‘flower boy’. From the manipulated pictures of her in a hoodie and hat to her wearing a suit, she was able to digest the image of a young man and showcase her various pretty boy looks.

Update on “4 Stations Joint Media Award”: Joey Yung doesn’t have a chance to repeat her win this year

With the various music awards shows gearing up to start handing out this year’s results, there were reports out today that the highly contentious “4 Stations Joint Media Award” will be cancelled. According to a source, the 4 stations (RTHK, Commercial Radio, Metro Radio, and TVB) held a meeting the day before yesterday and with a vote of 2 to 1, decided to cancel the award this year. If true, then it means that last year’s winner – EEG’s Joey Yung – will not have an opportunity to win the award again this year. In addition, after the meeting, TVB decided to play hardball by delaying the official joint announcement of the award’s cancellation.

Due to the ongoing dispute between TVB and the big 4 record companies, last year’s JSG Awards Ceremony (TVB’s music awards show) did not give out any awards to the big 4 artists, causing artists such as Eason Chan, Kay Tse, Hacken Lee, etc. to become ‘sacrificial lambs’ of the dispute. The results of the JSG awards last year were highly contentious and sparked much debate from all sides. A few days ago, our paper was the first to reveal that the 4 stations held their first meeting back at the end of October to discuss whether the Media award should be cancelled this year. At that time, the organizer of the meeting – government station RTHK – suggested casting votes to decide the outcome. [TN: The results of that meeting were inconclusive.]

Taylor Swift sets Hot 100 chart records

Taylor Swift‘s amazing week just keeps getting better. The latest edition of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart features an incredible 11 appearances from Swift, all songs from her new album, Speak Now. This is a record on three counts.

First: Swift is the only female artist to have that many songs on the Hot 100 at once. Her only competition, per Billboard, comes from David Cook, who also notched 11 charting singles right after he won American Idol in May 2008, and the Beatles, who had 12 songs on the Hot 100 for two weeks in April 1964 and 14 charting songs for another week in the same month.

Second: The Beatles’ charting singles came from multiple projects (Please Please Me, With the Beatles, and the soon-to-be-released A Hard Day’s Night). Cook’s were individually sold tunes that he had sung on Idol. This makes Swift the first artist ever to have this many simultaneously charting singles all drawn from a single album.

Third: Cook didn’t write his Idol songs, and the Beatles’ record-setting weeks included a number of covers like “Twist and Shout” and “Roll Over Beethoven.” Swift famously wrote all the songs on Speak Now by herself. So she’s also the only artist to have this many Hot 100 appearances all of which were written by the artist in question.

Samsung “confident” of one million Galaxy Tab sales in 2010

Samsung mobile division chief JK Shin has outlined the company’s sales ambitions for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, telling reporters at the Korean launch that Samsung expect to sell one million of the Android slates by the end of 2010. The estimate falls well short of Apple’s sales success with the iPad, where one million of the iOS tablets were shipped in the first 28 days.

“Although the launching of Galaxy Tab has been delayed a little bit [in Korea], consumer responses in Europe and Asia have been quite good and we are confident of meeting one million sales mark this year” JK Shin, Samsung

Nonetheless, the iPad had the consumer tablet market much to itself when it launched – and of course the fashionable Apple brand to count on – helping it take an estimated 95-percent of tablet sales. The Galaxy Tab, meanwhile, is the first of Samsung’s Android slate range, which is expected to extend to multiple models through 2011.

Dell Inspiron Duo flips its lid on official video

Blink really slowly and you might miss it. Seriously, though, Dell's 35-second Inspiron Duo teaser plays up the tablet angle for quite a bit -- even prominently showing off a JBL speaker dock -- before getting to the really awesome part. Oh, you know, where it totally flips its screen over and becomes a netbook. Coming soon, and last we heard it was by the end of the year, so that gives them around 57 days to make it happen. Video after the break.

Barbie Hsu breaks down at third party accusations

After netizens unearthed news of Wang Xiaofei's alleged past with a woman named 'Kwan' and the payoff ex-girlfriend Kitty Zhang received from Wang's mother, a new slew of rumours speculating on Barbie Hsu's past as a third party surfaced.

Giving her the nickname "third party", netizens scrutinized Barbie's romantic past with Blue Lan and Vic Zhou and likened her intrusion in Wang's relationship with Chinese actress Kitty similar to that of Blue and his ex-girlfriend, and Vic's relationship with the late singer-actress Beatrice Xu.

According to the netizen, Barbie and Vic's relationship took a turn for the worse when she tried to force the unwilling actor into marriage. Her sudden engagement with Wang happened because the Chinese millionaire was forced into it by her relatives. He had plans to ask the host-actress to be his girlfriend and presented her with a ring. However, his plan was overridden by relatives who enthused that a wedding is approaching.

Behind her smiles and brave front at the airport yesterday, Barbie reportedly broke down on the flight to Shanghai after a few drinks. Her personal assistant, Dou Dou, turned livid when she heard of these rumours and cried out, "Crazy! Who said that? We won't be commenting on this."

Lindsay Lohan Working on Fashion Line in Rehab

Taking time to focus on sobriety doesn't mean that Lindsay Lohan has given up her passion for fashion. Radar Online reports that the troubled actress has been overseeing the production of a new handbag line from her company 6126 while still in rehab.

Lohan's partner on the line, designer Paz Shakked, says that the starlet's time in jail and rehab hasn't slowed down their production schedule. Lohan, who is currently receiving treatment at the Betty Ford Center, has been keeping in touch with the designer via e-mail.

"We work around our schedules," says the designer. "We work together really well, we have a nice chemistry."

Shakked, who has worked for Tarina Tarantino and Dolce & Gabbana in the past, confirms that the actress is very much an active partner in the design process, saying, "I talk to her every chance I get ... Everything is approved by Lindsay."

The affordable handbag line, most of which will sell for under $150, is heavily influenced by Lohan's taste, from the weight of the pieces to their decorative adornments. Shakked says that Lohan is "very experienced in fashion" and calls the design "very beautiful."

"She knows fashion, that is for sure," says Shakked.

Skype 5 beta for Mac now available

Skype 5.0 for Mac has gone into public beta, following its PC counterpart which was released midway through October. The new VoIP app supports group video calling and offline IMs, among other things, together with a reworked UI including a floating contacts bar and integration with the Mac Address Book.

The new calling bar now takes priority over all other windows, meaning there are fewer “can’t find the hang-up button” delays, while potentially more useful is the auto-reconnect feature that attempts to work around patchy connections.

You can download Skype 5.0 for Mac beta here. The group video chat functionality works with both the PC and Mac clients, though everybody involved will have to be running v5.0.

Is MySpace About to Get Shut Down?

How bad is the situation for MySpace right now? Pretty bad: Not only is the social networking site losing tons of money, but the chief operating officer of its parent company wants it to rebound "in quarters, not in years."

Poor MySpace! It's hard not to feel bad for the bloated, ugly social networking site these days. While Facebook's membership rolls number around 500 million, MySpace counts its members in the tens of millions. And even with its new redesign, it's not clear it'll last long enough to improve those figures, reports USA Today:

"We've been clear that MySpace is a problem," [News Corp. COO Chase] Carey told Wall Street analysts in an earnings call. "The current losses are not acceptable or sustainable."

He says he's optimistic about MySpace's new focus on social entertainment.

But with traffic numbers that "are not going in the right direction," Carey wants to see "a clear path to profitability" on a timetable measured "in quarters, not in years."

Well! Uh, good luck, I guess.

Rain’s gambling controversy worsens as allegations of foreign currency laundering arise

Rain’s recent gambling controversy has taken a shocking turn, as more and more witnesses are surfacing to attest against the international star.

Sports Seoul was able to meet with “A”, an individual who was not only related to Rain’s concert activities, but also provided the star with some gambling funds. “A” was involved in Rain’s world tour concert activities in Las Vegas, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Japan, and Los Angeles.

According to “A”, Rain went to play baccarat at the Bellagio Hotel during his Las Vegas concert in December 2006, and again before his June 2007 Los Angeles concert. At the time, Rain visited the casino with both his company and concert representatives, as well as staff members. Reportedly, the star also went up to the VIP room.

“A” stated, “Between the end of 2006 and June 2007, Rain went to Las Vegas about three times. Even Andrew Kim, the guy who brought up this issue, was with Rain during these times. The betting amount during 2006 initially was small. However, as time went by, large sums of money came and went.”
