What's the Difference Between c and Lindsay Lohan?

There's a problem with the way we accept Charlie Sheen and condemn Lindsay Lohan.

The actor was found naked and drunk in his Plaza Hotel room early Tuesday morning. After trashing his lavish room and accusing his call girl of theft, police removed the, "emotionally disturbed" actor before he was taken to the hospital.

Sheen was in town with ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters for a few days of family fun. After daughters Sam and Lola partied with Eloise at the Plaza, Sheen sought out some grown-up entertainment of his own.

His reps are claiming he had an, "adverse reaction to medication." Riiight. Give it a few days, and Sheen will admit he's still struggling with substance abuse and going to, "seek treatment." He'll thank the public for their prayers and continued support.

And we will continue to support him. We'll tune in Tuesday nights to see Sheen reprise has role as an endearing, heavy-drinking, hooker-loving playboy on, "Two and a Half Men." After he's done raking in 1.8 million an episode for that family-friendly series, Hollywood producers will hire him for another sitcom or maybe even as a leading man on the big screen.

Syfy cancels 'Caprica'

Caprica is toast. Syfy has announced that the low-rated Battlestar Galactica prequel has been canceled.

“The remaining first run episodes of Caprica – airing Tuesdays at 10/9c – will be removed from the schedule as of next Tuesday, November 2,” said the network in a statement. “These final five episodes of the season will be re-scheduled to air at a to be announced time in the first quarter of 2011, and will conclude the run of the series.”

“We appreciate all the support that fans have shown for Caprica and are very proud of the producers, cast, writers and the rest of the amazing team that has been committed to this fine series,” said Mark Stern, EVP of original programming at Syfy. “Unfortunately, despite its obvious quality, Caprica has not been able to build the audience necessary to justify a second season.”

The news comes less than a week after Syfy unveiled plans for another Galactica prequel, this one set 10 years into the first Cylon war.

ExoPC Slate review

Of all the Atom-powered, Windows 7 tablets we've seen over the last year and a half (and boy have there been a lot!), the 11.6-inch ExoPC has been the one we've been waiting on. Sure, its specs are similar to the recently reviewed Tega v2 and CTL 2goPad -- it's also got a capacitive touchscreen, accelerometer, Atom Pinetrail processor and 2GB of RAM -- but unlike the others the company has put some serious love into its Windows 7 software layer, which we've dubbed the Connect Four UI. ExoPC's also preloaded the tablet with touch apps, built out its own app store and included a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator to handle full 1080p video. You can clearly see why we've had high hopes for the ExoPC ever since we got to check it out at Computex, but does it live up to the promise and provide the more enhanced and finger-friendly Windows experience we've been looking for? And is the software stable and robust enough for the average consumer? We've spent the last week with the $599 tablet so read on to find out in our full review.

Apple to offer universal, SIM-less iPhone in Europe?

If we know one thing about Apple it is this: they like control… and this latest rumor seems to reaffirm that creed. Blog GigaOM is reporting that Apple is planning to release an iPhone with an integrated SIM that can be used on any wireless carrier — partnered with Apple — in the EU. A universal iPhone if you will. As the report explains:

Sources inside European carriers have reported that Apple has been working with SIM-card manufacturer Gemalto to create a special SIM card that would allow consumers in Europe to buy a phone via the web or at the Apple Store and get the phones working using Apple’s App Store.

This special SIM would have an upgradeable flash component as well as a ROM component. The article goes on to explain:

The ROM area contains data provided by Gemalto with everything related to IT and network security, except for the carrier-related information. The flash component will receive the carrier related data via a local connection which could be the PC or a dedicated device, so it can be activated on the network. Gemalto will provide the back-end infrastructure that allows service and number provisioning on the carrier network.

This would be yet another way that Apple can control the end-user experience — and potentially the distribution — of its popular smartphone device. For us, one of the benefits of using a SIM-based device is having the luxury of popping the little plastic card into virtually any compatible, GSM device you choose. What do you think?

Why the White iPhone 4 is Delayed (the real reason)

It’s leaky! What a strange thing, I’d never have guessed. Sources talking to Cult of Mac tell of a problem with the camera on the phone. The camera works fine, but the white color of the iPhone creates a situation where light leaks in through the case to mess up the photos – this is said to happen especially when the flash is used. Yuck! Don’t want none of that business, right?

This legendary white iPhone, for those of you keeping track, has now been pushed back three times: once to July, once to the end of the year, now until next spring. Having a semi-translucent case is basically always going to be a problem if you’re dealing with photos, taking a photo seems like a simple process now that every device you’ve got in your house seems to have one, but there are just some things that a camera doesn’t like the taste of. Leaky light is one of em.

Case makers responsible for the white case (and the black case, and every other kind of case) must qualify for Apple’s “Made for iPhone” program. If they fail, they fail. Strict rules like the width of the hole for the camera and the flash are what keeps companies in business with the big A.

This news comes after an announcement by Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said that the White iPhone 4 won’t drop until Spring 2011 and news that Apple secretly canceled the White iPhone altogether.

T-Mobile myTouch redubbed 'myTouch 4G,' landing on November 3rd

Ooh, Sprint's just going to love this. T-Mobile just announced the launch details for its latest HSDPA+ handset, with a November 3rd touchdown date (possibly to go along with new data plans?) and a $200 pricetag (after $50 mail-in rebate). But just to spice things up a little bit, T-Mobile also swapped names on the phone: what was previously known as the myTouch -- a back-to-basics follow-up to the original myTouch 3G and myTouch 3G Slide -- is now the myTouch 4G. In fact, it looks like T-Mobile has had this name for a little while, but was just waiting for the right moment to spring it on us. Wait, you didn't know HSPA+ was 4G? Ah, welcome to Sprint / Verizon / AT&T's branding nightmare.

Taecyeon and Jessica a couple?

With the recent confirmation of SHINee’s Jonghyun and actress Shin Se Kyung dating, a post that was written on an online community board by a netizen has been receiving a lot of attention.

The reason for this is because the netizen wrote that he/she smelled something fishy between Jonghyun and Shin Se Kyung, and this post was made back in October 14th, before the actual news was released.

What’s interesting is that the post’s main point was about the netizen always seeing 2PM’s Taecyeon and SNSD’s Jessica together watching movies, and later on adds that he/she smells something fishy between Jonghyun and Shin Se Kyung as well.

The netizen’s post was titled, “I work at the Coex Megabox and I always see Ok Taecyeon and Jessica coming to watch a movie together… ke ke Possibly dating.. kekeke.”

Below the title, it was commented, “I think they’re dating.. kekekekekeke I also think that Shin Se Kyung and Jonghyun are possibly dating as well… kekekekeke. Throughout my time working here, I saw so many celebrities.. kekekeke Lots of couples… kekekeke.”

In the past, there have been reports amongst netizens that they have seen Shin Se Kyung and Jonghyun dating near Seoul’s Samsungdong, but they were regarded as just rumors. Those reports, mainly this one, has now been seriously looked upon ever since the news broke out about Shin Se Kyung and Jonghyun dating.

Do we have another idol couple here? What do you guys think, let us know in the comments below!

Ariel Lin rumored to have dropped “Extravagant Challenge”

Ariel Lin is best known for her girl-next-door image, but the actress/singer is ready to show a different side of herself. In the upcoming issue of Elle Girl, she talks about maturing as a woman and what she considers to be sexy.

Although it’s been two years since her last idol drama "Love or Bread", fans probably won’t get to see her on the small screen anytime soon -- Ariel Lin is rumored to have dropped out of “Extravagant Challenge” after being attached to the project for more than two years. The production of her other drama, “Taipei Shop of Coffee Prince”, was also officially scrapped earlier this week. It might sound like the curse of the Golden Bell all over again, but that’s unlikely to be the case as she will be starring in two movies later this year.

Sony Ericsson Z-System: the PlayStation Phone's gaming platform?

A bumper crop of circumstantial evidence surrounding the Android-based PlayStation Phone is starting to come together today -- when it rains, it pours, as they say -- and one particularly interesting thread suggests that the ecosystem surrounding the device might be called "Z-System." An astute tipster notes that the term appears in the upper left of one of our shots, which maps to a domain -- z-system.com, naturally -- that's owned by Sony Ericsson. Turns out the company also holds trademarks for Z-System in the US and Benelux trademark offices (among others, presumably) that were filed (and approved) this year, and the filing category includes "software for interacting or playing with electronic or video games," not hardware, so that strongly suggests we're looking at a platform here. We suppose it's possible that this specific device will be called Z-System, but we're going to float the theory that its actually underlying gaming platform that'll bear that name -- possibly a premium game store and set of software libraries that together will earn a device the Z-System badge. As we already saw with the BlackPad / SurfBook / PlayBook fiasco, trademarks don't mean much until a device is actually announced -- but it's something to keep an eye on.

Momma Mia! Italian beauty Monica Bellucci poses naked with new baby for Vanity Fair

Stunning actress Monica Bellucci has given hope to all women by describing herself as a 'ripe pear' as she poses for her latest magazine cover at 46 years old.

With the curves that a woman half her age would die for, the mother of two is sleek and elegant as she appears on the latest edition of Italian Vanity Fair cradling her new born child.

Looking amazing, the photo shoot with five month old Leonie, is to promote a new book of her portraits and she does not have a wrinkle or line despite the late nights and early mornings that accompany a newborn baby.

Arashi are more than just pretty boys

I have a 63-year-old American friend whose husband passed away a few years ago. Occasionally, she becomes very depressed about her loss. Not knowing how to cheer her up, I once sent her a link to a Japanese song called "Kako" (Traces). It's a poetic ballad about refusing to let the memories of a beloved longtime partner fade away. Even without understanding the lyrics, my friend was greatly comforted by the melody.

Then she wanted to know what the words meant and found English translations of the song along and the lyrics in Romanized letters so she could sing along. Kako was written and composed by Kazunari Ninomiya of the popular group Arashi (Storm).

Margaret never thought she would be a fan of a Japanese pretty boy band, yet watching Arashi concert clips and their variety shows in translation, she found herself being cheered up by them.

Arashi is not quite taking the world by storm, but they are arguably the most popular Japanese group in the world right now. In February 2010, they were awarded 10 Gold Disc Music Awards for having the three top hit songs of 2009. Domestically, they are currently hosting three prime-time variety shows. The Japan Tourism Agency appointed Arashi to be their official ambassador appearing in commercials in other parts of Asia.

EEG CEO reveals Nicholas Tse's star history

Nicholas Tse was born in a family of stars, his father Patrick Tse and his mother Deborah are both well known celebrities in Hong Kong. Joining EEG was a simple thing to Nicholas Tse. "Patrick Tse and Boss Yeung (Albert Yeung) are old friends, when he found out Nic was interested in entering the entertainment industry he signed him." EEG CEO Ng Yu said, "Of course, we saw the star quality in him very early on, this is very important."

Because when Nicholas Tse was 15 he once studied music and guitar in Japan for a few years, thus, when Nicholas Tse arrived in EEG, he wasn't considered a "new newcomer" anymore, he wasn't a blank piece of paper that you just write on. Plus, compared to other artists, Nicholas Tse was extraordinarily rebellious.

Being a senior in the Hong Kong entertainment circle, Ng Yu has known the Tse family for a long time. "I watched Nic grow up. I knew them before Patrick Tse and Deborah dated." Thus, Ng Yu knows exactly where Nicholas Tse's rebellious nature comes from - half of it was because he was born like that and the other half was because his mother "hit" it out of him. "Don't look at Deborah being all pretty, she's very fierce, especially towards her son. One time I went over to the Tse family to play Mahjong, at the time Nic was still young, he messed up the house, Deborah let Patrick Tse hit him. Who could have thought he would become more and more rebellious the more you hit him.

The Future of PC Gaming, According To The Creator Of Crysis

PC Gaming in the Future.

When I started developing games for the PC nearly 20 years ago, both the Commodore 64 and the Schneider CPC 6128 were incredibly popular. Since then, the PC platform and its market have totally changed and I saw several trends coming and going.

Within the next five years, the PC market is in my opinion growing and declining at the same time. While the market for Online PC Games (I mean Free-2-Play Games, Social Games and Casual Games) is continuously growing, the retail PC Games market is declining. Over the past two years it became apparent that more and more people play all kinds of online games and lots of the former retail PC Gamers switched to console games. By changing their consumption attitudes, the consumers "force" developers to rethink their strategies, thus, to some degree.

Matt Damon on the 'Bourne' brouhaha and his plans to work with Michael Douglas

It was the junket quote heard around the world. Asked while promoting Hereafter by Parade magazine to comment about the recently announced Bourne Legacy spinoff to be directed by Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton), Matt Damon — the star of the first three Bourne films — replied that he hadn’t been consulted on the project and said that ”Universal just wants to call everything the Bourne something.” (In the past, Damon has said he’ll only make another Bourne film with Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass; Gilroy cowrote all three Bourne films but hasn’t directed any as of yet.) Damon wanted to clarify his comments a bit, so while we were on the phone for him for an upcoming EW feature about his charity, Water.org, we quizzed him on the flare-up.

EW: I hear you’re not entirely happy with the quotes that have appeared online about the Bourne situation. So what happened?
MATT DAMON: I was in a roundtable and they were, like, badgering me about the next Bourne movie. And I was like, “I don’t know, guys, they didn’t call me. They’re doing another movie with Tony.” I think it’s a smart thing to do. It doesn’t interfere with Paul [Greengrass] and me doing a movie. As I understand it, if you think of X-Men and then Wolverine, it’s just that process in reverse. Tony doesn’t want to hurt the Bourne story. So as I understand it, Jason Bourne is alive in the world that Tony’s going to create. I don’t appear in it, but it’s very much that world. As far as Paul and I are concerned, as long as there’s room for us to come in and do another one, we’re thrilled.

Yahoo, Microsoft using common paid search

Microsoft and Yahoo said today that they have completed the shift to using Redmond's AdCenter tools to power paid search in the U.S. and Canada on Yahoo and its partner sites.

"As of today, AdCenter powers 100 percent of paid search advertisements on both Bing and Yahoo!, partner sites and publisher networks in the U.S. and Canada," the companies said in a joint statement. It's part of the companies' massive 10-year deal aimed at joining forces in search to better rival market leader Google.

Although the companies had a goal of doing so by the end of this month, they had said they were willing to push things back so as not to interfere with business in the all-important holiday shopping season.

"The transition comes after months of testing and collaboration between Yahoo! and Microsoft, with strict attention being paid to protecting the quality of experience for publishers and advertisers during the upcoming holiday season," the companies said.

Yahoo made the shift to using Bing for organic (non-paid) search results in August.

The companies still plan to move Yahoo's mobile search advertising to Microsoft's engine by the end of October.

The international move will take more time, with the complete work not expected to be complete until early 2012. On the organic front, the companies plan to shift Spanish-speaking Latin America in the first quarter of next year. For paid search, the first countries will be the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, and India, which are slated for the second quarter.

Mozilla delays Firefox 4 release until 2011

Mozilla today announced that it will delay the release of Firefox 4 until 2011.

The decision comes after several weeks of stalled progress on Firefox 4 Beta 7, which was originally slated to ship in mid-September but slipped as Mozilla ran into several stubborn bugs.

"Completing this work [on Firefox 4] is taking longer than initial estimates indicated as we track down regressions and sources of instability," acknowledged Mike Beltzner, director of Firefox, in a message posted to the mozilla.dev.planning mailing list Wednesday.

According to a just-revised timetable, Firefox 4 will now shift to release candidate status sometime in early 2011. Release candidate, often simply dubbed "RC," is the final stage of development before a software maker gives the green light for a final version.

A GA, or general availability, edition will ship shortly after one or more RCs are built and distributed for final testing, a Mozilla spokeswoman added in an e-mail.

Firefox 4 Beta 7 is now set for release early next month, with two additional betas during November and another in December.

Shin Se Kyung’s anti-cafes sky-rocketing in members

Yesterday, we reported that actress Shin Se Kyung and SHINee’s Jonghyun were confirmed to be dating. Eventually, as many expected, various anti-cafes have sprung up across the internet.

It appears that the photos that confirmed the public of their relationship have shocked many of Jonghyun’s fans. Upon hearing the news fans have had opposing reactions with a few bad apples turning to terrorizing Shin Se Kyung in jealousy, leading to the closing of her Cyworld minihompy. While many others have shown a more mature attitude by encouraging one another to accept the stars’ personal lives.

Currently there are four anti-cafes on portal site Naver. In particular, the 1st Shin Se Kyung Anti-Cafe, which was formed in March, had a sudden increase in members upon the news of the couple’s relationship. This cafe displays a photo of Shin Se Kyung that has been scribbled on and states, ”Princess-syndrome Shin Se Kyung, acting as if she is pretty” and “Medicine to cure Shin Se Kyung of her princess-syndrome.”

AKB48 sets first-day single sales record: 568,000

It was announced earlier this week that AKB48's new single "Beginner" was shipping more than 1 million copies for its release on Wednesday, and that decision now seems well justified. In its first day in stores, "Beginner" sold more than 568,000 copies. According to The Natsu Style, this is the highest first-day sales figure for a single since Oricon began announcing daily sales data.

In comparison, Arashi's single "Monster" previously set this year's record for opening-week sales at 543,000. "Beginner" has already surpassed that in one day, and is positioned to possibly overtake Arashi's "Troublemaker" as the best-selling single of the year (currently 699,000 copies).

Just two months ago, AKB48 set their own personal record for first-week single sales at 527,000 copies with "Heavy Rotation."

Google exec calls Android acquistion its 'best deal ever'

It's easy to forget at this point, but Android wasn't a Google creation. Google bought the company in 2005 for an undisclosed sum (estimated to be around $50 million) and, well, let's just say things worked out pretty well for them. How well? Google's vice president of corporate development, David Lawee, told attendees at the Stanford Accel Symposium this week that the acquisition was quite simply Google's "best deal ever." Lawee further went on to note that he did have some initial skepticism about the deal, and recalls saying "I hope this guy does something" after seeing Andy Rubin around the building for two years. The fact that Rubin actually stayed after the acquisition eventually did inspire some confidence, however, with Lawee adding that it's obvious when a deal doesn't work out "because the people leave."

Sugarland leads this week's Billboard 200 albums chart

Country duo Sugarland’s The Incredible Machine comes in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week. Selling 203,000 copies, it beats out Kings of Leon‘s Come Around Sundown, which is No. 2 with 184,000 records sold.

At No. 3, Elton John and Leon Russell’s collab album, The Union with 80,000 albums sold. Rod Stewart’s Fly Me To The Moon follows with 79,000 records moved. Last week’s No. 1, Lil Wayne‘s I Am Not a Human Being, drops to No. 5, moving 65,000 units this go around. No. 6 is Glee: the Rocky Horror Glee Show with 48,000 records sold. No. 7 is Shakira’s new Spanish album, Sale El Sol, which sold 46,000 units.

Eminem‘s Recovery drops to No. 8 with 43,000 records, while Third Day’s Move debuts at No. 9 with 37,000 sets sold. Rounding out the top 10 is Darius Rucker’s Charleston, SC 1966 falls eight spots to No. 10 in its sophomore week selling just under 37,000 albums.

'Gossip Girl' Stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley Split

'Gossip Girl' costars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley have split after three years together, a rep tells Us Weekly. The two ended their relationship in mid-September; they met as preteen actors in Los Angeles.

"They're professionals," an insider tells the magazine. "They're still good friends and hang out on the set."

Badgley, 24, told Us Weekly a year ago that the working/dating dynamic was no big deal. "Some would say it's a double-edged sword, but in our case, we manage to balance it well," he said.

Lively, 23, has added some major film work to her resume lately, featured in Ben Affleck's 'The Town' and starring alongside Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming 'Green Lantern.'

Lively and Badgley made PopEater's Hollywood Couples We're Rooting For list last February. We wrote, "We're definitely rooting for the Upper East Side's most beautiful young couple. Even on a set where gorgeous cast members and extras come and go, this couple has stayed true. Our fingers are crossed for these two."

The breakup didn't seem to shake up the 'Gossip Girl' set, according to Us Weekly's insider. "Nobody on set had any idea. They're really just private."

HTC Desire HD review

Did you know that the word "jumbo" originated from the name of an African elephant famed for being the largest of his kind? HTC will be well familiar with that tag having already rattled off the HD2, EVO 4G, and HD7 in a smartphone-dwarfing 4.3-inch form factor. And while that may not be the largest screen you can have your Android confectionery on today, it's arguably the upper limit of what we might consider a pocketable device. The HTC Desire HD follows, and seeks to improve upon, its laudable predecessors with an aluminum unibody construction, WVGA (800 x 480) display, 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash plus 720p video, and a modern 1GHz CPU. That hardware is put at the service of Android's latest Froyo offering, complemented with an updated Sense that includes a web interface for controlling and discovering your phone remotely. It's a rich spec sheet, that much is unquestionable, but you're not just here for tenuous wildlife-related metaphors, you want to know if the whole is equal to, or perhaps even more than, the sum of its parts. Join us after the break for a deeper look at the Desire HD.

White iPhone 4 secretly cancelled; Apple treading water until iPhone 5?

Apple has already confirmed that we shouldn’t expect a white iPhone 4 until spring 2011, but now there’s speculation that the Cupertino company doesn’t intend to release the pale smartphone at all. BGR‘s source has heard that Apple has internally canned the white iPhone 4, and that normally talkative manufacturers are refusing to comment on the talk of it being a case of production delays.

The suggestion is that Apple will confirm another delay in around March 2011, which will then roughly span the gap between then and the presumed iPhone 5 debut in June or July 2011. All speculative at this stage, but potentially less damaging to share prices than an outright cancelation.

SM Entertainment drops injunction against JYJ’s “The Beginning”

SM Entertainment has withdrawn their injunction against the members of JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu), which had prohibited the sale of their album, “The Beginning.”

JYJ’s public relations agency, Prain, stated on October 27th, “SM Entertainment dropped the injunction they filed against JYJ on October 21st through the Seoul Central District Court.”

SM Entertainment had previously attempted to prohibit the sale of “The Beginning” on October 12th, as distributed by Warner Music Korea.

'Batman 3' Will Be Called 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Director Christopher Nolan adds that Riddler will not appear in third 'Batman' film.

In 2012, the Dark Knight will rise.

At long last, Christopher Nolan has revealed the title to his third "Batman" film. And as was the case with "The Dark Knight," the very mention of Batman himself is nowhere to be found. Instead, the critically acclaimed director of "Memento" and "Inception" will call his next film "The Dark Knight Rises."

Nolan confirmed the title in an interview with The Los Angeles Times, adding that the developing comic book adaptation will not have a role for the Riddler. The famous Batman rogue has long been considered a leading candidate to be the villain in "The Dark Knight Rises," with actors including Joseph Gordon-Levitt rumored for the part. But Nolan ended the debate with one rather definitive statement: "It won't be the Riddler."

In addition to confirming the title and removing one possible villain from the pool, Nolan stated that Warner Bros. executives have agreed with the director's desire to avoid 3-D for the third "Batman" film. Instead, "The Dark Knight Rises" will employ "high-definition approaches and IMAX cameras to strike out on a different cinematic path than the stereoscopic technology that, for better or worse, has become the dominant conversation in the blockbuster sector."

Avatar 2 and 3 Will See James Cameron Pick Up the 3D Camera Once More

While all seven of the 3DTV-owners worldwide await the release of the Avatar Blu-ray in 3D, 20th Century Fox has announced that James Cameron has already signed on to direct Avatar 2 and 3, out in 2014 and 2015.

It's a long wait, yes. He'll begin writing the films early next year supposedly, and will begin work on Avatar 2 at the end of the year. Avatar 2 should be released in cinemas December 2014, and Avatar 3 a year later, presumably just in time for the hungry parents' credit cards.

Actors, plots and other sort of details haven't been confirmed yet (I doubt even Cameron knows himself, if he hasn't started writing them yet), but Cameron did say that the films "will not back off the throttle of Avatar's visual and emotional horsepower, and will continue to explore its themes and characters, which touched the hearts of audiences in all cultures around the world."

I'm glad that's, err, settled it then.

Samsung Galaxy Tab hitting T-Mobile USA on November 10th, $400 on contract

America's number four carrier just landed a launch date for Samsung's Froyo-based Galaxy Tab, and sure enough, it'll be trotting out into the spotlight a full 24 hours before Verizon Wireless and four whole days prior to Sprint. Trouble is, T-Mob's not being kind enough to dole out a price tag, so there's no reasonable way for you to compare its offering against the competition. But hey, being first out of the gate, they can't hold out on us too much longer, eh?

Update: T-Mobile USA's official Galaxy Tab portal just went live, and guess what? You'll be shelling out $399.99 for this bad boy... on a two-year data contract. You'll also be responsible for a $35 activation fee and a $200 early termination charge should you soon realize just what you've gotten yourself into.

Shin Se Kyung shuts down homepage due to backlash

Actress Shin Se Kyung has shut down her Cyworld mini-homepage after news of her relationship with SHINee’s Jonghyun was reported to the public.

After both agencies confirmed their relationship, fans flooded her mini-homepage with hateful remarks. Surprisingly, a significant majority of fans have shown maturity by leaving comments such as: “Hateful replies will only make SHINee look bad” and “Let’s try to respect Jonghyun’s private life.”

Still, a portion of the fanclub refuse to listen to reason and left venomous messages: “Who do you think you are, hitting on him?” and “You xxx, you think you match Jonghyun?”

Shin Se Kyung eventually shut down her homepage on the afternoon of October 27th.

Justin Timberlake Cheated on Jessica Biel With Actress Olivia Munn

Justin Timberlake cheated on Jessica Biel with actress Olivia Munn during a three-day fling this past September, reports the new Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

Timberlake, 29, and Munn, 30, a Daily Show correspondent who stars in the upcoming NBC series Perfect Couples, first met at a Sept. 26 MySpace event.

After exchanging numbers, he "started chasing her immediately," says an insider.

Munn resisted his advances, telling him it was a no-go if he was still with Biel, 28, the source tells Us Weekly. But Timberlake "has been telling people it’s over with Jessica, even though "the reality is he's just doing it behind her back."

Believing he had left Biel and that her relationship with Timberlake might develop into something serious, Munn took him to her hotel, the Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC, Sept. 27 and 28, where "they were openly affectionate," the insider adds.

The insider tells Us the two "had amazing sex" that night.

Timberlake's rep strongly denies the allegations; Munn’s rep does not comment on her personal life.

Palm rumored to have 5-6 new devices brewing

The paper cites industry sources in claiming that Chinese manufacturing giants Foxconn and Compal were recently awarded new contracts for a total of five to six new Palm-branded devices. Each of the aforementioned five to six devices will reportedly go on sale in 2011.

$100 Maylong M-150 Android tablet now on sale at Walgreens

Once thought to be a gadget unicorn, the elusive sub-$100 is ready to make a splash at… Walgreens? In an interesting turn of events, it looks like Walgreens is indeed the first U.S. retailer to make a $99.99 Android tablet widely available. Built by personal navigation device (PND) maker Maylong, the M-150 is a 7-inch tablet with 256MB of RAM, microSD support and Wi-Fi connectivity. Of course sacrifices had to be made in order to reach the magic $99.99 price point. The tablet sports an 800 x 480-pixel resistive touchscreen display, so it uses a stylus for input. It also has a 400MHz processor and the now-ancient Android 1.6 operating system on board. As a tablet for less savvy users looking mainly for a light Web browsing tool and maybe a simple eBook reader, the Maylong M-150 could be just what the doctor ordered. Hit the jump for more specs and a link to order up this mysterious budget slate, which is only available online.

S.H.E. group mates praise Selina Jen's bravery

Taiwan pop trio S.H.E's Hebe Tien and Ella Chen returned to Taipei to visit their stricken group member Selina Jen at the Linkou branch of the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, reported Taiwan media.

Tien and Chen could not visit Jen earlier because they still had to perform shows in China but rushed back to Taiwan as soon as they finished.

However, when the pair reached the hospital, they milled around for an hour before mustering the courage to visit Jen.

"Before we went in, we were very nervous and had to hold back our tears.

"She is a real SHERO (heroine). When we first saw her, her wounds and her condition, we became very agitated and our emotions ran high," Tien told reporters, adding that their heart ached as Jen looked "different from before".

"But when we spoke to her, it was she who gave us confidence and encouraged us, telling us not to worry. She is a really brave and resilient woman."
