She wrote: 'New twitter background...its a sneak peak from an upcoming calendar shoot... it will be up only for one night!'

The frame shows an oiled up Kim posing in a string bikini against a metallic background.

Meanwhile the 29-year-old has blasted reports that she is jealous of her sister Kourtney's body.

'I am so proud of Kourtney!! She had Mason less than a year ago and is at her skinniest.'

Hugh Jackman Drops Out Of “Avon Man;” Working On “Wolverine” Follow-Up

Hugh Jackman has pulled out of a new chick flick to concentrate on bulking up for the next Wolverine blockbuster.

Last spring, the Australian screen star signed on to play an unemployed car dealer who becomes Avon’s top selling door-to-door rep in the Avon Man. However, this week, Jackman pulled out of the project — which was due to start filming later this year — and will instead focus on preparing to reprise his role as a muscled mutant in the sequel to 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Deadline.com has learned.

Producers are in the process of scrambling to cast Hugh’s replacement. Jackman hasn’t wiped his hands of the project just yet — he will remain on tap as one of the film’s producers..

Nokia's QWERTY-slidin' N9 shows up in the wilds of China

Remember this scandalous little leak from back in June? It looks to have been validated today, as imagery of Nokia's MeeGo (or is it Symbian^4?)-powered N9 QWERTY slider has emerged over in China. As usual with these things, we can't be certain that this device is in fact part of Nokia's roadmap and not just another creative hardware emulation, but it sure seems to have our old buddy Eldar Murtazin convinced. Seeing it with clear N9 branding, we can now say that the previously unknown Nokia slider was more likely the N8-01, a keyboard-equipped version of the (still) upcoming N8. The source of this N9 leak reports that it's not in its final retail shape, as it doesn't match up to "the latest drawings," but is apparently planned for a release in the 48th week (i.e. beginning of December) of this year. The prototype, built in Finland, is said to have an entirely metallic construction (more aluminum would be our guess), with only the keyboard buttons, USB cover, and a few decorative parts being plastic. See more of it, including a thorough teardown below.

Nokia C7 given a full video preview -- still not announced

And now the cycle is complete. What started as a single mention on a leaked slide has slowly evolved into a full-blown video preview of Nokia's unannounced C7 handset. The cats at the Chinese site zol.com.cn took the time to fuss over the Symbian^3 candybar's stereo speakers, 3.5-inch multitouch display, support for Flash banner ads (presumably via Flash Lite 4.0 like the flagship N8), and the ability to charge off Micro USB or Nokia 2-mm connectors (also like the N8). It's also demonstrated to easily handle a 720p H.264 video file at 2.7Mbps. Without giving reason as to why, the handler speculates that we might see the C7 launch before Nokia's own N8 finally makes it to retail. Click on through to see a fairly extensive preview replete with a soothing Chinese narration.

Samsung Galaxy U specs leak

The Samsung Galaxy U is headed to South Korea’s LG U+ and has the model designation SHW-M130L.

It is expected to be announced sometime this week and will be available in both black and white.

2NE1 to promote all three title tracks at the same time

You’ve read correctly, folks – the female hip-hop quartet 2NE1 will be promoting not one, not two, but three tracks simultaneously at one given period of time!

Such decision is definitely unprecedented in K-pop industry (or perhaps any other music industries out there), since most artists tend to promote only one, two at max, song at a time. Not only that, triple promotion is quite risky and adventurous as well, with such large amount of money at stake.

Many professionals have expressed their concerns toward YG’s decision. If three tracks will be promoted, an unbelievable amount of money will have to be spent on making the music videos for all the songs. Also, the rankings on various music charts will be in mess, which would cause a great deal of damage.

Sandra Ng is 2 months pregnant?

Yesterday in [Singtao]'s exclusive report, it was discovered that 45 year old Sandra Ng is currently 2 months pregnant and turned down the new movie Love Island directed by Kam Kwok Leung. Perhaps Director Kam was angered by her turning down the movie in such a short notice, but when male lead Simon Yam said Sandra is the female lead, Director Kam suddenly dragged Carina Lau into the water and said she's the first candidate for the female lead.

Yesterday Singtao's reporters contacted Director Kam to confirm the news of Sandra's turn down. He said: "I am not sure if Sandra really is pregnant? But as the director, my prospective candidate has been Carina Lau. Currently, just waiting for Carina's response. (Have you contacted Sandra Ng about the movie?) Every time we start a movie, we contact many different people. Just know, it's not because of the pregnancy that the movie is turned down. Saying it like this is not fair to Carina." Director Kam then suddenly said: "I don't know if this news is to get promotions? I know that All About Love is currently playing in theaters. Hope the movie is received well!"

Taylor "High-Class Hooker" Momsen Picks a Fight With Rihanna

Another day, another precious gem from the mouth of Taylor Momsen. (Is this girl giving Megan Fox a run for her money in the mouthing-off department, or what?)

And this time, it's aimed at pop star Rihanna...

In an interview with Spin.com, in which the 17-year-old classifies her trashy style as "high-class hooker," Momsen is "very protective of what she considers 'rock.' "

She complains, "People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna's wearing f--kin' leather jackets, and it's really annoying."

Then Tay-Tay says, "I'm figuring out who I am and what I want to be doing."

So it's OK for her to experiment but she calls out Rihanna on her style. Um, hypocritical much?

Yep, spoken like a true teenager.

Aerosmith Singer Tyler Joining "Idol": Bandmate

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has signed a deal to become a judge on "American Idol," according to a news report on Wednesday quoting one of his bandmates.

Tyler, 62, would fill one of three vacancies left on the four-person panel by the departures of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres and the reported axing of songwriter Kara DioGuardi. Randy Jackson, the only remaining original judge, is expected to remain with the talent show.

For weeks speculation has centered around Tyler and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez joining "Idol," which is undergoing a major restructuring to arrest its ratings decline. National auditions are already under way ahead of the show's Season 10 premiere in January.

Fox and the show's producers have kept largely quiet on the speculation, but Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton told the Star-Ledger of New Jersey that Tyler's deal is done.

"Steven is doing 'American Idol.' The ink is dry on that," the newspaper quoted him as saying.

"Steven is someone who absolutely lives to be in front of an audience, and the people closest to him know how witty and entertaining he can be. I don't know if 'American Idol' will be rock 'n' roll enough for him, but it is an opportunity for millions of people to see another side of Steven Tyler."

It's official: Windows 7 is a hit, and XP is finally in decline

Last year at this time, Microsoft was in the final stages of preparing Windows 7 for its worldwide launch. The new OS was finally available to the public—well, at least that segment of the public with a TechNet or MSDN subscription. Those early adopters had to wait a few weeks after the official release to manufacturing date but still got a head start on the general public.

Those demanding and skeptical Windows users have now had a full year to stress-test Windows 7 and decide whether it’s good enough to replace Windows XP.

The verdict? Windows 7 has been a quiet success, maybe even a phenomenon. Last spring, a Microsoft executive told me that the company had sold 100 million Windows 7 licenses. As part of its quarterly earnings call in July, Microsoft announced that that number had risen to 175 million, and the company has projected that a total of 350 million Windows 7 licenses will have been sold by the end of this year. That’s a run rate of roughly 30 million copies per month worldwide, and it represents a lot of Windows 7-powered PCs.

Despite the big numbers, Microsoft has been almost eerily silent about its success. I didn’t hear a lot of bragging in advance of the Windows 7 launch, nor has there been much chest-thumping since.

Microsoft responds to Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3

When BioWare announced Tuesday at the Gamescom conference in Germany that its Mass Effect 2--arguably the best game to hit store shelves so far in 2010--was coming to the PlayStation 3 in January, many wondered how Microsoft would respond.

Prior to the announcement, the Mass Effect franchise was available exclusively to Xbox 360 and PC gamers.

Microsoft won't say whether it's disappointed to lose Mass Effect 2's exclusivity, but the company was quick to point out in an interview with IGN, that it believes its console is still the best place to play the venerable title.

"Xbox 360 remains the best place to experience the Mass Effect franchise," a Microsoft representative told IGN.

The Microsoft representative also noted that those who want the full Mass Effect experience--Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2--will only find it on the Xbox 360. BioWare will not be bringing the original Mass Effect title to Sony's console.

Samsung says GPS is 'tested and validated' on Epic 4G, our testing agrees

If you own a Galaxy S anywhere in the world or you're thinking of buying one, you're probably well-acquainted at this point with the GPS issues it's been suffering that prevent you from getting anything close to a precise lock on your location -- it might not be a deal-breaker for some, but for anyone planning on using their phone for turn-by-turn nav or fitness tracking (for instance) it's a big deal. Samsung's already committed to updating released versions of the phone in September, but what about the upcoming Epic 4G? Our testing suggests that it's functional -- Google Maps was able to give us extremely precise positions very quickly -- and a statement we've received from Samsung seems to corroborate that:

"We have tested and validated both Network Assisted (indoor) and Autonomous (outdoor) GPS on the Epic 4G. With regards to Vibrant and Captivate, we are currently testing software updates which will optimize GPS performance. We expect to be able to make the updates available in September and will communicate more information and download instructions in the next few weeks."

Se7en, “After I revealed my relationship with Park HanByul, 100K fans left”; talks about his ‘rivalry’ with Rain

Singer Se7en talks about his feelings regarding coming clean with his love relationship with Park HanByul of 8 years.

Se7en on was MBC Golden Fishery – The Knee-Drop Guru aired on 18th August. And talked about his coming clean with his love relationship with Park HanByul on his minihompy last June.

Se7en said, “Fans’ responses were split. Half of them were like ‘Thank you for telling us even though it came late. It is better than meeting this girl and that girl’. While another half were like ‘I’m disappointed in you. This is similar to Kwon SangWoo when he revealed on this show previously when he was here. He said his fanbase count dropped in just one morning. For me, my fan count dropped from 260K to 160K.”

“Yang HyunSeok hyung thought positively about my coming clean with a post online. He also confessed about his love relationship on our official homepage in March.”

Edison Chen eyes collaboration with Lady Gaga

Hong Kong singer-actor Edison Chen's personal assistant revealed Tuesday that the star had recently flown to the United States to meet Lady Gaga to discuss collaborative opportunities for next year, reported Chinese media.

"Lady Gaga will embark on a series of activities in Asia next year. She knows that Edison is building up his fashion label in Asia and owns an entertainment company. She hopes to work with him," said his assistant, known only as Mr Tay.

Tay went on to dispel rumours that Chen's meeting with the flamboyant singer was to seek her help in creating his new album.

Chen's assistant said that Lady Gaga was probably too busy with her own concerts at the moment to assist Chen with his album that is due to be released in November.

According to Tay, Chen had known Lady Gaga for many years and described her as a "hardworking, smart and opinionated artiste".

He added that both Chen and Lady Gaga have long been admirers of each other's sense of style.

Russell Brand Katy Perry In Relationship Counseling

Engaged stars Russell Brand and Katy Perry have reportedly signed up for couples’ counseling just months ahead of their wedding day.

Katy, 25, is set to marry the British comic later this year, but she’s worried that their busy lives mean they spend too much time apart. Therefore Katy’s arranged “telephone therapy sessions” for the pair.

A well-placed tattle dished the deets to Britain’s Daily Mirror Wednesday: “It’s been really bad timing for the couple. With only a few weeks to go until the big day, they’ve been spending more time apart than ever before. Russell’s doing 14-hour days on set, and Katy’s been in Europe and Australia working all sorts of hours.”

The source added: “Combine this with all the time differences and, as you can imagine, it’s been tough. Counseling was Katy’s idea. They both clear an hour in their schedules every day to have a conference call with a therapist, talking things over and making their bond as tight as possible.”

Sounds pretty tight to us… So tight in fact that we suspect Russell might gnaw through those bonds and run for the hills!

Blake Lively Interview Magazine Fall Fashion Issue: “Sex Scene With Ben Affleck Awkward”

Blake Lively talks sex scenes and Ben Affleck in the Fall Fashion Issue of Interview Magazine. The stunning blonde appears alongside the Oscar winner in the upcoming drama The Town — hitting theaters Sept. 18. — and was unnerved when she arrived on set for the first day of shooting and discovered that her duties called for a faux roll in the hay with the married dad, 38.

“Well, I have a big family and no one ever treated me like a child,” the 23-year-old starlet explains. “They always treated me like an adult, like an equal. But with acting, I think half of it is just acting confident. We stand on these red carpets and pose in these dresses, but we’re all only so confident. It doesn’t mean we think we’re great looking or anything. It’s all a facade. But the sex scene was really awkward. It was my first day, so thank you for that.”

Kristen Bell’s Bikini-Ready Secret: Stay Busy!

After celebrating her 30th birthday last month, Kristen Bell is all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Appearing on dual covers for the September issue of Shape, the stylish actress shares her 30 best stay-fit tips, challenging women to embrace a more balanced approach to fitness. Opting for an active lifestyle over fad diets, she admits: “I’m like a jackrabbit throughout the day and like to keep moving whenever I can.” Instead of depriving herself of caloric sweets, she makes compromises. “More flights of stairs means I can eat more candy!” And when Bell isn’t playing board games with fiancé Dax Shepard, she can be found planting vegetables in her organic garden or getting crafty at home. “I love to do projects around the house,” she explains. “I have a very old sewing machine, and if I spot something I like in a magazine, I want to see if I can make it.” To hear more from Kristen, pick up the September issue of Shape or visit Shape.com for a behind the scenes look at her cover shoot.

Nokia C7 leaks again, looks sexier this time

The leaks of the Nokia C7 are ramping up, so it may be safe to say that it will get announced during Nokia World in September.

We’ve first seen the C7 about two months ago, with the leak of some pictures of its black variant. Then, an XML file on Nokia’s own website confirmed its existence and impending release. Not long ago, an ad for it showed up somewhere in Hong Kong.

And now we have a full hands-on photo session with the Nokia C7 in China.

The phone will have a 3.5″ capacitive touchscreen (we’ve heard it both ways on this – there’s also the possibility it will be 3.3″), run Symbian^3 like its bigger brother, the N8, and come with an 8 MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash but, rather surprisingly, sans Carl Zeiss branding. That probably shows that this handset will be priced well below the aforementioned N8.

Motorola Charm hitting T-Mobile on August 25 for $75

T-Mobile USA just dropped the knowledge on Twitter that it'll be carrying the Motorola Charm starting next Wednesday, August 25 -- but what it failed to mention is pricing. For what it's worth, the company does specifically say that it'll be "affordable" -- and although a marketing department's definition of "affordable" can be very different from ours, we're encouraged by a handful of previous rumors that there would be ways to get it for free on contract. If you need us to jog your memory, the Charm is a cute little portrait QWERTY Android device with a Kodak-branded 3 megapixel cam and landscape display, giving it a rare form factor that could very well appeal to a whole new audience (read: BlackBerry folks). So, how much would you pay for it?

Turns out Moto's posted on its official Facebook page that it'll run $74.99 on contract -- not free, unfortunately, and in the age of free Pixi Pluses, that might be a tough pill to swallow. We've also been handed a video of Telus demonstrating its version of the Charm, which should look and work exactly the same -- check it out after the break.

Gillian Chung Likes It Fresh.

WHILE Gillian Chung does not usually drink, the Hong Kong star relishes the occasional cold serving of “fresh” beer.

Jaz Fresh, which is Jaz Beer’s latest creation, offers just the treat for Chung.

The new range by the Malaysian liquor brand offers beer that is both unfiltered and unpasteurised, leaving it fresh.
Fresh-faced beauty: Gillian Chung at the launch.

The mild, sweet-tasting beer also claimed to be nutritionally superior to pasteurised beers as the filtering process removed vitamin B and other nutrients found in fresh beers.

Chung, who was here recently for the launch of Jaz Fresh at a shopping mall, said she could tell it was fresh compared to pasteurised beers just by it’s flavour.

Clad in a loose, polka-dotted blue dress at the event, a smiling Chung was greeted by about 40 screaming fans from her fan club.

The Cantopop singer added to their excitement when she performed a rendition of Long Fa Siong Tek Yan (Riding on a Wave) — the latest single on her new EP (demo) album, which is set for an October release.

Kat Von D Tweets – Then Deletes – She's Dating Jesse James

Kat Von D's fingers apparently spoke too soon.

After Tweeting Wednesday, "Yes, Jesse and I are dating," the LA Ink star, 28, took down the message, though it was quickly spread and re-Tweeted by more than 100 people.

Her rep has said she and the motorcycle mogul, 41, are just friends and their cozy night out in Vegas over the weekend wasn't the start of a new relationship.

But a source tells PEOPLE their friendship could possibly turn into something more.

"Jesse and Kat drove to Las Vegas together in Jesse's car. It was just the two of them and they slept in the same room," says the source. "They have been friends for years, but this is the first time they are both single."

Britney Spears Has ‘So Much Fun’ on Set of Glee

Britney Spears‘s wish to appear on Glee is finally coming true — and she couldn’t wait to Tweet the first photo of herself on set of the hit Fox show.

“About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties!” Spears, 28, posted early Wednesday on her Twitter page. “Here we goooo!”

And apparently, the shoot was a success. Accompanying the photo of Spears, the pop star Tweeted, “what’s up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode!”

The show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy recently explained why he decided to dedicate an entire episode to the iconic star. “She is arguably the most important female, other than Lady Gaga, of the last 10 years,” he told PEOPLE earlier this month. “We’re sort of doing an episode about not only her music, but about her public image.”

But it wasn’t just Murphy who thought a Spears-devoted episode would be a great idea. “All the kids on the show, many of them went into singing and dancing because of her,” he said. “Also at the heart of it, it’s a show designed to show off the skills of Heather Morris who plays Brittany.”

Samsung Epic 4G shows up in Sprint stores

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S, the Epic 4G, is getting closer and closer to being available for everyone to buy.

Devices earmarked for product advocates have started to show up at Sprint retail locations yesterday. Product advocates are those guys that are supposed to know all there is to about a device so they can convince you it’s the right one for your needs. So it makes sense that they’d get actual Epic 4G smartphones to play with a little while before general availability.

So you can be quite sure at this point that your Sprint store does have a Samsung Epic 4G in there somewhere, it’s just not for sale.

The First Thing You Should Do With Facebook Places: Don't Let Other People Tag You

So, everyone's excited about the new Facebook Places, right? The Facebook service that lets you check-in, Foursquare style, at whatever hip Sushi bar/bicycle repair shop you happen to be in. Oh, and also other people can check you in, too.

Facebook places, which rolls out this evening, allows your friends (and only your friends) to tag you when checking into a place, much as they might tag you in a picture. This is terrible! Here are just three situations we thought of directly off the top of our head where someone else tagging you could be social doom:
  • You are at the bar when you are supposed to be at your girlfriend's crappy art show. Your friend Jane sees you and you chat. She checks into the bar and tags you: "At this awesome bar, just talked to [Your name here] about his Star Wars memorabilia collection!" Your girlfriend sees this on Jane's wall and dumps you.
  • You call in sick to work so you can go to a Star Wars convention. You get a ride to the convention center with your buddy. Your buddy checks into the convention center: "At this awesome convention center with [your name here] for the Star Wars convention!" Your boss is friends with your buddy Ron because they met at Yoga class. Your boss sees this on Ron's wall. You are fired.
  • You are having an affair with your wife's sister. Your wife's sister checks into her home and says "Having awesome sex with [Your name here]". Your wife sees this on her sister's wall and divorces you. Also, your wife is your boss and she fires you, then trashes your Star Wars memorabilia collection.

Playful Kiss reveals promotional posters

Ahead of its broadcast early next month, Group Eight has now unleashed a set of 4 promotional posters for its upcoming drama, Playful Kiss.

The promotional posters features 2 couple shots and a single shot for the main leads, Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min. The posters was able to accurately reflect their relationship in the drama.

Kim Hyun Joong made a joke during the filming that while he had 3 trustworthy friends in Boys Over Flowers, he only has Jung So Min who tags onto him like a dog in his new drama, and admits he is feeling much pressure to do well but he also expressed that he is hopeful of a good showing.

Yun Jung Hoon and Han Ga In to consider legal action against divorce rumors

The married couple of Yun Jung Hoon and Han Ga In are considering legal action against MBC’s PD Notebook after it had spread unfounded rumors of them divorcing recently.

The program raised much eyebrows on the 17th after it said in a press release that Yun Jung Hoon and Han Ga In were heading for a divorce and the news soon spread like wildfire on the internet.

Han Ga In’s management, J.One Plus Entertainment strongly denied the claims and expressed, “The divorce rumors are unfounded and ridiculous. Some reporter asked them if they were heading for a divorce but they already said no and asked them not to write about it. But the news still came out anyway. This divorce news will impact Han Ga In’s image and bring about much negativity. We will consider legal action to stop this from spreading further.”

Eminem returns to No. 1 on Billboard 200 chart, album goes double platinum

Returning to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart is Eminem‘s Recovery, selling 133,00 copies. Not since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream claimed six straight beginning last December has anyone spent as many weeks in the top spot.

To date, Recovery has sold 2.1 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Behind Lady Antebellum selling 2.5 million units of their Need You Now, Em is the only artist to cross the double platinum line this year.

Last week’s chart-topper, Arcade Fire‘s The Suburbs falls to No. 2 with 52,000 albums sold. Disney Channel’s Camp Rock 2: the Final Jam debuts at No. 3, selling 41,000 copies. The second-highest entry comes from Black Label Society, whose Order of the Black comes in at No. 4 selling 33,000 copies. Blake Shelton’s second EP of the year, All About Tonight comes in at No. 6 with 33,000 units moved.

The final debut in the top 10 comes from Mike Posner with his debut effort 31 Minutes to Takeoff, flying low at No. 8 with 29,000. Sparked by the hit single “Cooler Than Me,” many expected higher sales. Justin Bieber‘s My World 2.0 climbs up two spots to No. 5, selling 33,000 albums.

Rick Ross’ Teflon Don falls two spots to No. 7 moving 30,000 sets. Kidz Bop 18 set rises up two places to No. 9 with 28,000 copies to their credit. And Avenged Sevenfold’s Nightmare rounds out the Top 10, falling seven places to No. 10 ans selling 27,000 copies.

Are Lindsay Lohan's Bon Mots Really Worth $1 Million?!

If you're a celebrity looking for a magazine cover and a financial windfall, you pretty much have three options: get married, have a baby or be a hot mess.

Guess which one Lindsay Lohan's shooting for?

While OK! magazine isn't commenting on reports that they've offered the currently rehabbing actress a $1 million payday for exclusive rights to her most recent sob story, sources confirm to E! News that "there have been talks" for such a seven-figure deal.

And while it will be her first sitdown that garners the most attention—and, in turn, gives the biggest boost to her bank account—subsequent pit stops on the promotional circuit may prove equally as lucrative in the long run.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, if when LiLo returns to the Hollywood or, more likely, New York club scene, she could earn anywhere from $25,000-$100,000 simply for showing up. And trying not to drink.

Forbes ranks the richest rappers: Some guys named Shawn, Sean, and Aliuane top the list

Forbes has once again taken time from covering entrepreneurs who work with short-term CDs and gold-backed bonds to cover those who work with 12-track CDs and gold teeth. And again, Jay-Z has topped the business magazine’s annual list of highest-earning hip-hop stars, raking in an impressive $63 million over the past year. That’s over twice as much as his nearest competition, Diddy, and $28 million more than he made last year.

Kanye West experienced one of the bigger drops, going from third place in 2009 all the way down to 10th, right behind Pharrell (the only other artist in the Top 20 who uses his real name). Kanye’s drop could be a result of VMA backlash and his subsequent laying-low, but with a new album coming up, it’s hard to imagine that his estimated $12 million won’t increase soon.

Personally, I was surprised that a lot of the names on the list, like Diddy, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, haven’t had a huge hit in awhile. Also, where’s MC Hammer? I would have assumed that his Cash 4 Gold investment strategy would have paid off by now. I’m probably less surprised at the names on the list than I am at the names on the list. Calvin? Clifford? Aubrey? Lonnie? Somehow I think I now understand the need for their monikers. Here’s the full list:

Chrome OS tablet coming from Google and Verizon on Black Friday, November 26th ?

We've been waiting on pins and needles for Google to announce some official Android tablet plans for so long we'd almost forgotten about Mountain View's other operating system -- but from what we're hearing, Chrome OS is about to jump to center stage with a tablet debut on Verizon just before the holidays. Our friends at Download Squad are told by a reliable tipster that HTC is building a Tegra 2-based Chrome OS tablet for Google with a 1280 x 720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, at least 32GB of storage with the possibility of expansion, GPS, a webcam, and the usual wireless connectivity, including a 3G radio. Launch is pegged for Black Friday on November 26, and apparently the plan is to offer the device for extremely cheap or free on subsidy, which makes sense -- it is just a browser, after all, and "free" sounds mighty nice compared to the iPad's $499 entry point. (Of course, you'll undoubtedly be tied to a Verizon contract, but we'll just let that slide for now.) We'll see how much of this comes true in the next few months -- we're certainly intrigued.

Android OS Grew By 47 Percent In July, iPad Requests Up 327 Percent

Mobile ad network Millennial Media is releasing its monthly mobile mix report today. According to Nielsen, Millennial’s ads reach 63 million of a total of 77 million mobile web users in the U.S., or 81% of the U.S. mobile web. Ariel Lin denies writing about Mike He in her book

The popular actress was recently rumored to be jumping ship to SETTV after years of collaborating with its competitor GTV. At a press event yesterday, Ariel Lin revealed there will be an answer by the end of August. Her new photobook A Wonderful Journey was also released last week.

In a piece of writing titled “Regretful Beauty”, she wrote, “Me and You, once wandered in that dazzling love, the mischievous yet elegant you is now far away.” Some questioned if she was referring to her Love Contract costar Mike He, which she denied.

The presently single Ariel Lin said, “(I) never feel bored, but feel lonely once awhile.” When asked if the feelings mentioned in her book referred to a celebrity, she replied, “Maybe!” She worried people would start making associations and quickly changed her answer, “It’s about feelings toward idols, idols are celebrities.”

Ariel Lin said she is in good health and looking forward to take on her next project. She hopes to challenge herself with a complex character. The actress even revealed that she has done many bad things when she was young, “I’ve poked my brother’s hand with a pencil, and tore apart his homework.” Fortunately, the two now have a very good relationship and support each other through hard times.

Hilary Duff Injured On Wedding Day!

HILARY Duff chipped a tooth on her wedding day.

The singer-and-actress — who married Mike Comrie in a sunset ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, last Saturday — had to be rushed to the dentist in secret just hours before she tied the knot.

“I started my day with a chipped tooth. My wedding planner snuck me out to the dentist! Thank goodness it was fixed within the hour,” she told OK! magazine

The 22-year-old star also revealed she and Mike penned their own wedding vows with a little help from the internet.

“We didn’t write our vows word for word. I researched on the internet for three days! I read about other people’s ceremonies, picking and choosing what I liked,” she said. “We chose a few poems and a ring blessing.”

Although Hilary loved every part of her big day, she admits her favorite thing about getting married was the huge variety of delicious food that was served.

“I wanted junk food — because I’ve been so good,” she said. “I said to my sister Haylie, ‘After the wedding is over, I’m going to eat 16,000 calories!’
