Gillian Chung Likes It Fresh.
WHILE Gillian Chung does not usually drink, the Hong Kong star relishes the occasional cold serving of “fresh” beer.
Jaz Fresh, which is Jaz Beer’s latest creation, offers just the treat for Chung.
The new range by the Malaysian liquor brand offers beer that is both unfiltered and unpasteurised, leaving it fresh.
Fresh-faced beauty: Gillian Chung at the launch.
The mild, sweet-tasting beer also claimed to be nutritionally superior to pasteurised beers as the filtering process removed vitamin B and other nutrients found in fresh beers.
Chung, who was here recently for the launch of Jaz Fresh at a shopping mall, said she could tell it was fresh compared to pasteurised beers just by it’s flavour.
Clad in a loose, polka-dotted blue dress at the event, a smiling Chung was greeted by about 40 screaming fans from her fan club.
The Cantopop singer added to their excitement when she performed a rendition of Long Fa Siong Tek Yan (Riding on a Wave) — the latest single on her new EP (demo) album, which is set for an October release.
“You can expect happy, light-hearted songs from my new album,” Chung said.
Chung, who signed up as the spokesperson for Jaz Beer in 2009, also appeared in a series of sexy new Jaz Beer ads that were shot in KL last July.
She also revealed plans to stay in showbiz over the next five years.
“It’s what I really love doing.”
Jaz Fresh is distributed by Napex Marketing Sdn Bhd and is available at selected outlets in Klang Valley.
