Joey Yung Sing of Power, Fans rush for tickets even before her concert is confirmed

Joey Yung will be holding a concert at the end of the year in Hong Kong Coliseum. Although the date, the number of shows and tickets have not been confirmed, because her HK Coliseum concert two years ago had unprecedented success, many fans' necks are getting long from waiting. In the recent days, fans have been "ordering" tickets from the record company EEG. Joey joked that many of her friends have pre-ordered tickets already. She said: "We have started our meetings discussing on where we want to do with the concert this year. Every time we talk about the concerts, I would get really nervous, I hope to give fans more fresh feelings."

The other day, Joey was promoting for the sub theme to her new movie "The Emerald and The Pearl", and filmed the MV to the new song "Believe This Life Loved Before 信今生愛過", she said that it is a true challenge to her acting. She said: "Because I don't have any co-stars or props for the MV. I have to count on my own feelings to act out the role."

Huang Xiao Ming kisses Joe Chen in "Ji Lang Qing Chun", NGs 5-6 times

Huang Xiao Ming and Joe Chen's inspirational youthful movie "Ji Lang Qing Chun" has been busily filming in Beijing recently, under the hot 40 degree celsius weather. Yesterday, Joe and Xiao Ming finally had their first scenes together and it was unexpectedly, a kiss scene. As both of them were still unfamiliar with each other, they NGed 5-6 times before completing the scene. Joe admitted that when faced with handsome Huang Xiao Ming, she really felt quite nervous.


"Ji Lang Qing Chun" produced by John Woo and Terence Chang is a story that revolves around dragonboating competition. In the movie, Joe Chen acts as a dragon boater who had sparks with the coach Huang Xiao Ming. Prior to filming, Joe has only seen Huang Xiao Ming in official occasions and the two were like strangers. When they knew of the kiss scene, Joe tried to break the ice between the two and jokingly asked Huang Xiao Ming "Have you kissed any other girls that you knew for less than 3 hours?". Huang's surprising reply of "I just kissed my female dog last week" brought the coldness level to another peak.

RIM’s Blackpad tablet will come in November

It’s BlackBerry tablet rumor time again.

We’ve heard some specs, then some more, and now we’ve even got a name and possible release month.

It will be called Blackpad. RIM have recently registered Blackpad.com, which makes sense.

The screen size will be similar to that of the iPad.

It will have WiFi and Bluetooth, but not mobile data. Which is a big differentiating factor, as the iPad has versions with mobile data.

You will be able to pair the Blackpad with a BlackBerry smartphone via Bluetooth and use the phone’s data connection should you find yourself in an area without any WiFi. Whether you’ll be able to do this with a non-BlackBerry smartphone is unclear.

Pricing will be in line with that of the iPad, which starts at $499. RIM seems to be focused on the profit opportunities in the tablet space, rather than selling very high volumes by reducing prices compared to the competition.

Microsoft rushes fix for Windows shortcut hole

Microsoft plans to release a patch on Monday for a flaw involving how Windows handles shortcut files, after seeing the hole being used to spread a particularly nasty and fast-spreading virus, the company said Friday.

Initially, the Windows flaw was used to spread the Stuxnet worm via USB drives. The vulnerability, which is in all versions of Windows, is in the code that processes shortcut files ending in ".lnk," according to the Microsoft advisory from two weeks ago that included information on a work-around.

Lindsay Lohan `nearing prison release

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer says the star can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

After visiting Lindsay at the correctional facility in Lynwood yesterday, lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said the Mean Girls star is doing 'fine, she's good.'

And although Holley isn't exactly sure when Lohan, dubbed LiLo by the media, will be leaving jail, it seems the star is close to the end.

According to GossipCop.com Chapman said: 'She's looking forward to her release. It's a light at the end of the tunnel.'

Lindsay's mother Dina, sister Ali and friend Samantha Ronson also visited her yesterday.

The 24-year-old is to be released earlier than expected from her 90-day sentence because of overcrowding issues at the prison.

And Lohan, who could be released as early as Sunday, is due to start a 90-day stint in rehab straight after.

Heidi Montag Files for Divorce from Spencer Pratt

Skeptics, take notice: This breakup is for real.

Almost two months after Heidi Montag went to court seeking legal separation from husband Spencer Pratt, the reality starlet filed for divorce.

Montag, 23, cites the usual irreconcilable differences in the divorce petition filed in Santa Monica, Calif., Superior Court.

"Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt," Montag's lawyer Jodeane Farrell tells PEOPLE. "The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce."

The public and Montag's own former costars from The Hills initially expressed doubts about whether the split was legitimate or another publicity stunt.

They were married last April at a church in Pasadena, Calif., and have been busy ever since.

Google search blocked in China? The pain continues

It’s been a bit of a news rollercoaster for Google the last two days as initial reports showed that Google search was entirely blocked on mainland China, then it was just blocked a little bit and over-reported due to a glitch, then, really for sure, it was an issue with the Great Firewall, as finally reported by ZDNet’s Sam Diaz. As he put it,


Following a closer look at the circumstances, Google has said the problem was not related to a glitch on its part but instead must be the result of some changes to China’s censoring system, called the Great Firewall.

What this really points to is some serious hypersensitivity over Google’s relationship with the Chinese government and their prospects for working unfettered with the largest group of Internet users in the world. The stakes, at least as seen by many investors, are extremely high and the media frenzy over the conflicting reports out of Google and China only reinforce one thing: Anything Google does in China will be fraught with pain.

Mexico getting unlocked iPhone 4 too

If you live in the States and are dying to get an unlocked iPhone 4, prepare to be taunted by two bordering nations. It looks as though Apple will offer the iPhone 4, carrier unlocked, to Mexico via the Online Apple Store; Canada already has this option. The pricing on the unit has not yet been announced, but if history repeats itself it should be about $1,500 pesos above the price of the iPhone 3GS for an unlocked 16 GB iPhone 4. Currently the iPhone 3GS is on the Mexican Apple Online Store for $9,510.84 pesos (about $730 US). Anyone want to head to Tijuana and pick one of these bad boys up?

BoA reveals Hurricane Venus MV teaser on Music Core

SM Entertainment has really prepared BoA’s long awaited comeback well, first with the release of the epic photos, and then having a small teaser of her song played on Music Bank.


A second teaser, this time revealing 10 seconds of the music video for upcoming title track Hurricane Venus, was also revealed on Music Core further proving that her song is going to be incredible and definitely catchy.

Gigi Lai goes home, but misses youngest daughter who still has to remain in hospital

Last Saturday (7/24), Gigi Lai gave birth to twin girls and has been resting in Canossa Hospital all last week. Yesterday afternoon, at about 3:10pm Gigi appeared looking like a happy mother and wife, she did not lose the pregnancy weight yet. Under the protection of 10 security personnel, two nurses, three female friends and TVB executive Virgina Lok, Gigi accepted an interview from the media. Her husband Patrick Ma Ting Keung was no where to be seen.


At around 2:55pm, Virgina Lok appeared entering the hospital, clearly going to pick up Gigi. 10 minutes later, the main character Gigi appeared wearing a comfortable white long dress. Gigi was immediately surrounded by the media, wearing light make-up, she smiled and waved at reporters.

Gigi accepted the media's interview alone, her husband Patrick and her two twin daughters did not appear, but she had more than 10 people around her for protection. Gigi said: "The older daughter already went home, the younger one needs to remain in the hospital for a little more before being discharged. My husband is home looking after the baby."

Jay Chou, Gary Cao, Ella lend a hand for Yao Yao's upcoming album

Otaku goddess and pop singer Yao Yao (real name: Guo Shu Yao) will soon release her upcoming album titled "Guo Shu Yao's First Self-Titled Album Honey", and work on latest album involved a star-studded lineup including Yao Yao's idol Jay Chou, whom agreed to pen an emotional song for her. In response to Jay's offering, the model/singer cried out, "Unbelievable!" With feelings similar to that of having a dream come true, Yao Yao replied, "I didn't think that on the first day of being a 20-year old that marks the end ofu my youth, that I would at last be given the best gift in becoming an adult."

The killer production team involved in penning songs for Yao Yao's self-titled album includes singers Gary Cao, S.H.E's Ella, as well as Jay Chou, and the top creativity team in the industry will also be at hand to help along in putting everything together.
