Taylor Momsen on Miley Cyrus Comparisons: Shut the Eff Up!

Miley Cyrus may be a colossal disappointment for a variety of reasons, but at least she doesn't curse, smoke or look like a raccoon at all times.

The same can't be said for Gossip Girl cast member Taylor Momsen.

Speaking to FHM UK this week, the 16-year old lashed out at critics that compare her to Miley, making it very clear that she doesn't see any similarities between the pair.

"I'm not looking to be Miley f*cking Cyrus," Momsen said. "I don't care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we'll go along for the ride."

Momsen and Cyrus may both act and sing, but that's pretty much where the comparisons end. The former fronts rock band The Pretty Reckless, while the latter is nothing more than a Britney Spears wannabe at this point.

Lindsay Lohan Hires New Defense Lawyer From Chicago

When Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley resigned last week the hunt was on for a suitable replacement who would be willing to put up with her. Well it appears that one has been found as it is being reported that the 24 year old trouble maker will be defended by Stuart V. Goldberg, a criminal defense attorney from Chicago.

Lohan has made a real mess of her life thanks to drugs, booze and her need to be at the center of the public eye. She has spent time in rehab, been arrested multiple times and was even seen in a pic taken not too long ago with a gun in her mouth. Poor Goldberg must really need the money as he surely has his work cut out for him.

Android Market to Hit 100,000 Apps Soon

Google's mobile OS app store, Android Market, is experiencing rapid growth; the store has 90,000 apps in its library at the moment and many are predicting that if the growth rate continues Android Market will hit 100,000 apps before the end of the month. Additionally, if Android Market can sustain its growth, it will soon be able to catch up to the iPhone's App Store. Whether the apps are up to snuff, Google's non-curated store model has really been a success despite talks of fragmentation, which Gingerbread may aim to resolve in a move that parallels Microsof's Windows Mobile to Windows Phone transition.

'Despicable Me' grabs $21 million on Friday; 'Predators' scares up $10 million

There was nothing despicable about Friday’s numbers for Steve Carell’s new animated flick. In fact, Despicable Me far outgrossed every industry expectation, taking in $21 million on its opening day. The other new release, the R-rated Predators, also opened at the high end of what was expected, drawing in $10 million in box office receipts Friday. The two movies plus strong performances from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Toy Story 3 should help propel this weekend’s box office over last year’s tally.

Despicable Me, the PG-rated movie from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, is on track to earn what could be close to $60 million for the frame–a number more inline with an animated sequel rather than an original film with no built-in awareness. And Predators, starring Adrian Brody and produced by Robert Rodriguez, could earn $25 million for the three-day period.

Eclipse drew in $11 million on Friday, a number that may translate into another $35 million for the weekend. If the numbers hold, the third movie in The Twilight Saga will have maintained a better hold in theaters than its predecessors, translating into a two-week gross of $238 million. And Toy Story 3 does not seem to be adversely affected by Despicable Me’s strong performance in theaters. In fact, the beloved animated movie drew in an estimated $7 million for Friday and could earn another $23 million for the weekend. That would mark a 30-percent drop and $340 million for the frame, just enough to surpass Pixar’s Finding Nemo to become the studio’s highest grossing film ever.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Tie the Knot!

Carrie Underwood is a married woman!

The American Idol winner, 27, wed her hockey player beau Mike Fisher Saturday night near Atlanta, Ga., UsMagazine.com has confirmed.

The two walked down the aisle in front of more than 200 guests at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga., in a ceremony estimated to cost more than $500,000, according to RadarOnline.com.

Underwood and Fisher, who plays for the Ottawa Senators, said their vows under a lakeside tent.

After a year of dating, Fisher, 30, popped the question last December with a 12-carat ring worth about $800,000.

"We're both obviously excited and very happy," Fisher said at the time.

Underwood hired a wedding planner, but also ironed out many of the details herself. "I bought a lot of magazines and am cutting out pictures," she told Us in January. "I have a folder and I cut out pictures and glue them in. It's in kind of a binder thing."

Fisher was tasked with coordinating the honeymoon.

"[Planning] that was Mike's project," she said at the CMA Fest last month. "It's a surprise. I have no clue where we are going, which is nice. I know it will be warm, that's about it."

The Grammy winner said she wasn't worrying too much about slimming down before her wedding.

"I'm not a big stresser -- Mike would love me if I weighed 800 pounds," she told reporters after taking the entertainer of the year award for the second straight year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April.

Underwood first met Fisher backstage after an October 2008 concert in Toronto.

"I made sure he came in with some other people," she told Cosmopolitan. "I was like, 'What if he's weird?'"

Google Secretly Invested $100+ Million In Zynga, Preparing To Launch Google Games

Google has quietly (secretly, one might say) invested somewhere between $100 million and $200 million in social gaming behemoth Zynga, we’ve confirmed from multiple sources. The company has raised somewhere around half a billion dollars in venture capital in the last year alone, including $150 million from Softbank Capital last month and $180 million late last year from Digital Sky Technologies, Tiger Global, Institutional Venture Partners and Andreessen Horowitz. The Softbank announcement was never officially confirmed by the company, however, and the Google investment was likely part of that deal as well.

The investment part of the deal closed a month ago or so. A larger strategic partnership is still in process.

The investment was made by Google itself, not Google Ventures, say our sources, and it’s a highly strategic deal. Zynga will be the cornerstone of a new Google Games to launch later this year, say multiple sources. Not only will Zynga’s games give Google Games a solid base of social games to build on, but it will also give Google the beginning of a true social graph as users log into Google to play the games. And I wouldn’t be surprised to see PayPal being replaced with Google Checkout as the primary payment option. Zynga is supposedly PayPal’s biggest single customer, and Google is always looking for ways to make Google Checkout relevant.

And there’s more. These same sources are saying that Zynga’s revenues for the first half of 2010 will be a stunning $350 million, half of which is operating profit. Zynga is projecting at least $1.0 billion in revenue in 2011, say our sources. This blows previous estimates out of the water.

Motorola WX445 leaked, offers low-end Android for Verizon

So this little number just rolled into our tips inbox -- and at a glance, it appears to be the anti-Droid X, if that makes any sense. We're being told this is the Motorola WX445 for Verizon (street name unknown), featuring Android 2.1, a flash-less camera of unknown pixel count, a touchscreen ranging somewhere between 2.5 and 3 inches, and a pretty light 1170mAh battery on board. Our tipster tells us it runs Blur, though we imagine it's possible it runs the Blur-esque skin seen on the Droid X that doesn't actually make use of Moto's back end to do its deed. We're also told it's "not a very impressive phone" and resembles a keyboardless Pre Plus in the flesh "but cheaper looking," so needless to say, you're not going to be cross-shopping this against an EVO 4G; if anything, we suppose it might make a decent Devour alternative. More on this one as we get it.

Kim Hyun Joong for Tony Moly

Back in October of 09, Kim Hyun Joong filmed a CF (Commercial Film) with a sizzling hot model for the skin care product company, Tony Moly that had the girls screaming holy moley. Now, he’s back again but this time with a full photo set with the beautiful model.

Check out all the photos below and thanks to BB for the tip and Ezm@lovekhj.com for sharing the photos.

Apple working on 99-cent TV show rentals: report

At $1.99, buying an episode of a TV show on iTunes and other digital download sources is pretty cheap, but Apple may be hammering out a way to let consumers view that content even cheaper.

The price structure of most digital download services is pretty much identical: TV shows cost around $2 per episode, movies range generally from around $15 - $20, and movie rentals cost around $3, with HD options costing a minimal premium for all types of content.

So there is a significant cost advantage to consumers who just want to watch a movie one time instead of paying to own it. The idea of TV show rentals was not really in the discussion, until now.

As Apple is going back to the drawing board with the Apple TV, an overpriced device that even Apple fanboys thought was a flop. As part of the redesign, Apple is working with content providers to offer TV show rentals, which like digital movie rentals would allow customers to view a rented title for 24 hours, for 99 cents each, according to sources from Web site NewTeeVee.

Lindsay's Late-Night Support Sessions Continue, This Time with Ex-Samantha Ronson

Nothing like a court-ordered stint in jail and rehab to mend the wounds of a bitter breakup.

Lindsay Lohan continued her countdown to custody Friday night by once again laying low and sticking around her Los Angeles pad. Only this time it wasn't Kim Kardashian keeping the 24-year-old company, but rather a surprising face: Lindsay's ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

And by all accounts (or at the very least our records), these two aren't exactly the best of friends...

Looks like the onetime volatile lovebirds have buried the hatchet, at least for now.

Spending a majority of her evening at Lohan's, the DJ made her entrance and exit in typical SamRo style: by giving the paparazzo the finger, of course.

Ronson also took to Twitter to defend Linds, taking on comedienne Joan Rivers, of all people. "Hey Joan Rivers- you have collagen older than Lindsay," she wrote Friday night. "Pick on someone your own age, oh wait, I guess people that old can't hear. #bully"

Emily Blunt, John Krasinski Wed in Italy!

That's amore!

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski wed at the Villa D'este in Como, Italy, UsMagazine.com has confirmed.

"John and Emily were married on Saturday in a private ceremony," Krasinski's rep tells Us.

"It was an outdoor ceremony and absolutely beautiful," says an insider. George Clooney and Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis were in attendance; Blunt and Krasinski had been staying at Clooney's nearby Lake Como estate since the July 4th weekend.

"It was an official ceremony. They are husband and wife," adds the source.

After about a year of dating, The Office star Krasinski, 30, proposed to British actress Blunt, 27, with a 3-carat Edwardian diamond and platinum ring from Neil Lane, worth $100,000.

Krasinski told Access Hollywood that the proposal was "very casual" but very emotional, too. "She did cry after I cried, and we cried and then everyone around us was crying," he said.

"She's a wonderful girl," Krasinski gushed at last year's Emmys of his fiancee.

"So many people say, 'You know when you know,' and it's true," Krasinski added of his love. "It's all true."

Reps could not be reached for comment.

Have your Droid X already? Verizon figured out how to activate it

Word on the street is that only 170 Droid X handsets have leaked out from the mothership so far, but in the off chance you're in that elite group of early early adopters, it seems Verizon has cured a snag that was preventing you from activating the phone on its network. As of Friday afternoon, it's said that "system provisions were put in place" to allow the beasts to be used the way Motorola intended, so go forth and put that crusty old V3m out of its misery. Oh, and as for the rest of you: well, keep on waiting a few more days.

RIM Has a Blackberry Tablet With dual cameras and 1GHz CPU?; HTC is not jumping into the tablet market

The rumor mill's been churning out quite the picture of RIM's Blackberry tablet over the past several months, and it's a research analyst who's most recently picked up the brush -- Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Renshaw, to be precise, who anticipates a 7-inch touchscreen device with a 1GHz processor, plus front- and back-facing cameras for video chat. Since that's a good 1.9 inches smaller than the slate rumored a couple months back, this latest spiel fills us with doubt... but hey, it's not like we had confirmation that RIM was even producing such a device, anyhow. It may be a while before we find out for sure, as Kumar told investors that even should the company succeed in an attempt to move up the schedule, the device still wouldn't launch until the end of the year.

Megan Fox Debuts Her Wedding Bling

While her June 24th wedding to Brian Austin Green may have been a low-key affair, or as low-key as you can be in an Armani PrivĂ© gown with a 16-foot train, Megan Fox is finally showing off her diamond engagement ring that is anything but under the radar. Since returning to Los Angeles, the newly married pair have been snapped settling into domestic bliss, but we are just now getting a look at the stunning sparkler that the sexy star has been sporting on her left hand. The Transformers actress was spotted leaving an audition in West Hollywood Thursday, showing off her dazzling ring, which sparkled against her casual gray sweats. While details of the ring remain unclear, one thing we are sure of, however, is that the beautiful ring certainly helped cement the special occasion in extravagant style. “I’m more in love with him now than I was in the beginning,” Fox told PEOPLE. “We’re more committed to each other than we’ve [ever] been.” Read more details of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green’s wedding in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now.

Apple Targets Searchers For ‘Dell Streak’, ‘HP Slate’ With Google Ads For The iPad

In a move that suggests a tad of insecurity on Apple’s behalf, the iPad maker is apparently buying Google AdWords ads targeting potential buyers of the Dell Streak, the Android-powered micro-tablet or netpad or whatever it is people cooler than me call the device.

The screenshot above was taken after I did a search for ‘Dell Streak’ on Google.co.uk (thanks for the tip, Tom from Rudefox). As you can see, Cupertino is trying to capture the attention of Dell Streak searchers by buying text ads on Google, in an attempt to get them to click through to the iPad product page instead of moving on with said search.
