2NE1 releases music video for ‘Can’t Nobody’!

The third and final music video release from 2NE1 is finally here!

We’ve already got the super hot videos for “Clap Your Hands” and “Go Away“, and now “Can’t Nobody” has finally dropped.

The music videos are amping up the anticipation for their long awaited comeback on SBS Inkigayo, where the girls will be performing all three title tracks off their new album.

The group has made some radical transformations to their style and image recently, but they were definitely worth waiting for in the end.

Without further ado, here’s “Can’t Nobody“!

The “Verizon iPhone” Versus “The iPhone On Verizon’s Network”

If you think back to 2005, you’ll remember that the Motorola RAZR phone was all the rage. Not entirely unlike the iPhone today, it was the sleek phone that everyone wanted. But if you happened to be on the largest carrier in the U.S., Verizon, you couldn’t get one. Again, sound familiar?

It wasn’t until just about a year later that a version (the V3c) finally came to Verizon. It was a long wait, but I was excited to finally have access to the device, I pre-ordered one the first day I could. When I finally got it, there were some surprises in store. Rather than having the same colorful user interface that my friends’ RAZRs (on other networks) had, it had some god-awful red proprietary UI made by Verizon itself. It also came with the added bonus of having Bluetooth file transfer capabilities disabled by Verizon. And it was loaded to the brim with Verizon’s V CAST garbage.

So while part of the wait was undoubtedly due to Motorola getting a CDMA version of the device ready to sell, a bigger part was likely Verizon negotiating and working to load the device up with their crapware. That doesn’t speak well for the supposed Verizon iPhone.

Taylor Swift to perform song about Kanye incident at the VMAs?

According to the Associated Press, Taylor Swift has written a song about last year’s Kanye West incident and will unveil it with a surprise performance tomorrow night at the VMAs. That means the two probably won’t team up as some had hoped (here are some of our suggestions for such a pairing), but we’re still dying to hear Swift’s musical take on the now-infamous encounter.

What do you think? Are you excited to hear it, or should they move on, already?

Microsoft job posting hints at another Zune, or perhaps an internally-developed phone

We'd heard rumors that a new Zune was on the way, but here's a spot of evidence that something's actually up: Microsoft's adding a senior mechanical engineer to help build "the next generation of portable entertainment and communication devices." While the job listing in question is technically for Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business, which oversees Windows Phone, it's clear that some things have changed since the Entertainment & Devices shakeup: "We are the team that shipped the Zune HD," the post reads. It appears that there's a new group within Microsoft called the Portable Entertainment Group which isn't afraid to design its own hardware and includes the Zune team, though whether that hardware be Zune, phone or something more obscure still remains to be seen.

Windows Phone 7 ad promises, oh, revolution

Is the world running out of words? Or does every tech company feel that every product it launches must, at the very least, offer a revolution?

The question vibrates like an old VW in an earthquake not merely because Fidel Castro seems himself to suddenly doubt the wisdom of his own little revolutionary fling. No, "revolution" is the word with which Microsoft seems to be greasing the launch of its much-anticipated Windows Phone 7.

In an ad that debuted last week at a cinematic costume party called Secret Cinema in London, Microsoft offered a little glimpse into how it sees its new creation.

The footage is a sweet homage to a famous scene from the film "Lawrence of Arabia," in which Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif remind us of when men were men and camels took performance-enhancing drugs. The tagline, however, might leave some wondering whether it was written by Google Instant.

What is 2NE1’s secret weapon for the global market?

The four unique girls of 2NE1 are targeting the world market.

Fans are looking forward to seeing if 2NE1 will be able to become world stars with their first official album, “To Anyone“, as the group is looking to build up an international fanbase before starting promotions in Japan next year.

2NE1 launched their album not only in Korea, but also on Apple’s iTunes. YG Entertainment has already successfully launched and marketed Taeyang’s first solo album “Solar” internationally through iTunes.

ELVA ditches 3D for motion control in new MV

ELVA Hsiao returns with a neon-color cyber image for the first music video from her upcoming album. The title track “瀟灑小姐 (Miss ELVA)” follows in a long line of her techno dance hits like “Shinning Love” and “Confession”. It has an endlessly repeating hook that makes the song incredibly catchy. Although some people be sick of autotune already, it’s actually pretty interesting to hear two autotuned voices harmonizing with each other…like listening to a robotic duet.

In the “Miss Chic” music video, ELVA is dressed in three specially-designed outfits to show her contrasting styles. The neon pink creation reportedly cost NTD$300,000 and looks to be a sure-fire hit in cosplay parties. To accentuate her “chic-ness” in the video, ELVA becomes a time-traveling video game heroine who saves her man with girl power. The production invited Jimmy Hung (from Black & White) as their stunt coordinator to provide some authentic action. They also utilized motion control technology to capture the singer's every expression. ELVA promises “the effect will be cooler than 3D.”

Google Search coming to Samsung Fascinate with Android 2.2 update, Bing not replaceable

If you bought a Samsung Fascinate from Verizon Wireless, you might have been feeling a certain way at the fact that the default search engine on the device is Bing and not Google. In addition to Bing being the default, Google Search isn’t even a selectable option. It is well known that Verizon and Microsoft have entered into a multi-device agreement to promote Bing, appearing as the exclusive option on Verizon’s BlackBerry handsets for instance. It wasn’t known if users would ever be able to change search engine options, but a Verizon Wireless spokesperson has chimed in, and broke it down for everyone. Once the Fascinate is updated to Android 2.2, users will be able to download the Google Search application to get their Google searching fix directly from the device. Even with the new application though, customers will not be able to change the default search setting from Bing to Google, and the search button will always trigger a Bing search. Oh well.

Microsoft responds to new Google Instant feature

Microsoft has officially responded to the new feature Google introduced last week. It’s less of a “Yeah, we’re doing that too”, and more of a “We’re working on solving the same root problems”. This is a refreshing response — and shows that Bing’s primary goal isn’t to duplicate everything Google does, but to give people great solutions to real problems they are having.

“It’s great to see continued innovation in search, in particular the level of energy in this space over the last 12-15 months. From improving accuracy of results to speeding up time to complete tasks, there are a lot of opportunities to improve today’s search engine and we’re working hard to do so. When Bing and Google compete to improve search, consumers win.”

I do think, however, that if left too long, Google’s instant search is going to eventually become the norm (like it or not). Over time, the difference between Goo

Acer's dualscreen laptop leaks out with Core i5 CPU?

We knew dualscreen laptops were the future after our Toshiba Libretto review, but unfortunately for Toshiba theirs was a future attempted too soon. Acer, however, is apparently testing a rig that might be powerful enough to do the trick -- pictures bequeathed to Tech Review Source purportedly show a 2.67GHz Intel Core i5 processor (likely a Core i5-580M) with dual fifteen-inch multitouch screens, making both the Libretto and MSI's 7-incher look positively dated by comparison. Sadly, the publication's source says this device is "still slow and buggy," so retail availability is probably a long while off, but now you can tell your friends you too saw the future and it looked reasonably good. Peep a couple more shots of the laptop at our source link while you wipe your sweaty palms off.

GoDaddy goes on sale

Domain-name registrar and Web-hosting service GoDaddy.com is putting itself on the auction block and could sell to a private equity firm for more than $1 billion, according to a report.

Citing unnamed sources, The Wall Street Journal said Frank Quattrone's Qatalyst Partners has been hired to shop around the Go Daddy Group, parent company of GoDaddy, which has long been known to the general public for its racy Super Bowl commercials.

GoDaddy is attractive to private equity firms because of the money it makes from monthly subscriptions and from selling Web-site extras to customers, the Journal said. The largest domain-name registrar in the world, GoDaddy posted revenue between $750 million and $800 million in 2009, the Journal said.

Some expected GoDaddy to go public several years back, but the deal never came to pass. Earlier this year, smaller competitor Register.com was sold to Web.com by private equity firm Vector Capital for $135 million, the Journal said.

Megan Fox: Passion Play Premiere

Megan Fox looked stunning on the red carpet for the premiere of her new flick Passion Play at the Toronto Film Festival last night. She wore a great pale pink dress with nude heels, and clearly turned heads with her bright lipstick.

She missed out on the Fashion's Night Out festivities going on in New York and LA so she could be with co-stars MIckey Rourke and Bill Murray for the big premiere.

Megan recently said she feels like people don't take her seriously when she talks about her hubby Brian Austin Green, since she's so young to be married (24), but we think she looks quite grown up.

'Dragon Tattoo' star Noomi Rapace cast in 'Sherlock Holmes 2'

Now you're really going to have to learn how to pronounce her name.

Noomi Rapace, the Swedish star of the movie adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, has been cast as the female lead in Sherlock Holmes 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This will be her first English-speaking role.

The Sherlock sequel brings back all the original players, including Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes himself, Jude Law as his trusty sidekick Dr. Watson, and Guy Ritchie, returning to his role of director.

Noomi (having fun with her first name yet?) has been receiving rave reviews for her role as Lisbeth Salander in the Millennium Trilogy films, and has been recently meeting with producers in Los Angeles to begin her American film career. Sherlock Holmes 2 is her first gig.

A Massive War Is Approaching As The Tablet Market Cannot Sustain Six Separate Platforms

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of war. Better choose your side soon, too. The tablet wars are going to get nasty.

Apple’s army is prepped, already backed by over 3 million zealous iPad owners. But the Google Android horde is quickly banding together and will soon offer countless weapons from several major CE houses and dozens of smaller camps. Google is also quietly forming the stealthy Chrome OS platoon that will likely enter the battle a bit late, but shouldn’t be forgotten, ether.

Then there’s the suit & tie brigade with their trusty BlackBerry holstered on their hips, ready to be tethered to the coming BlackPad. Don’t forget about the wildcard: The HP-produced, webOS-powered PalmPad no doubt has a couple of tricks, enough to put up a decent fight. Then there’s the battle-tested Windows that might still be able to fire a few direct shots.

'Resident Evil: Afterlife' takes large bite out of weak Friday box office with $10.9 million

Resident Evil: Afterlife proved yesterday that there’s still plenty of life left in the zombie franchise, chomping down on $10.9 million at the Friday box office, according to early estimates. The 3-D film is on track for a three-day cume between $26 and $28 million (depending on how much of a drop it sees over the weekend), which would give it easily the most successful debut of the four Resident Evil films.

The race for second place was neck and neck between The American, which took in just under $1.8 million on Friday, and Takers, which banked $1.76 million. The former likely has the edge, with a three-day total nearing $5.75 million, while the latter could likely take in about $5.5 million for the weekend.

Fourth and fifth place are also too close to call: Machete saw a steep 65 percent drop from its debut last week, bringing in about $1.34 million and a total of close to $4.25 million. Going the Distance declined just 42 percent, with $1.3 million and a possible total nosing past $4.1 million.

Check back here tomorrow for the full box office report.

Cecilia Cheung appeared in white silk goddess outfit for a fashion show grabbing money together with Nicholas Tse.

Beautiful wife Cecilia attended a fashion show recently, she wore a white silk one piece, beautiful like a goddess, showing gracefulness even when raising her hand; husband Nicholas also had a video game endorsement, where he did cosplay as the video game's main character, making him even more handsome.

People on the internet had identified Nicholas and Cecilia as "Goddess match", where also Hong Kong's famous comic cartononist Gerald have an eye on this high profile "celebrity family", hoping to find the family of four to film an advertisement, estimating the whole family together can earn about $10million worth of endorsement comission.

Cecilia reappearing after giving birth gives off the feeling of a kind mom, more beautiful than before. However, there are rumours about changes for her comeback road which has still not been confirmed. She had stated earlier that she would work with her good friend director Derek Yee, not only because the two are good friends, but also to thank Derek Yee's support and guidance when she was still a newcomer. But recently, there are rumours that the collaboration might have some changes as the two still have not been able to reach an agreement on the script.

2NE1’s “Clap Your Hands” backup dancers were Big Bang?

The rumor mill has been spinning, spinning, spinning about the male backup dancers for 2NE1’s music video, “Clap Your Hands”. Dissecting, freezing, screen-capping, and contributing to the 1,000,000+ viewer statistics on the official “Clap Your Hands” Youtube video, suspicious fans are insisting that 2NE1’s backup dancers are none other than their YG brothers, Big Bang!

Claiming to be able to recognize the boys by their hands, necks, body postures, and even by their eyebrows, a flurry of ID’d screenshots have been making their way through Big Bang and 2NE1 fansites alike. The bond between YG Entertainment artists are known to be quite strong, so it’s entirely possible that Big Bang has got 2NE1’s back. As it remains rough speculation at this point, fans are hoping for some confirmation when 2NE1 hits the comeback stage.

Lindsay Lohan's Big Awards Show Surprise

Lindsay Lohan is going back to work.

Sorta. Kinda.

I can exclusively reveal that LiLo will make an appearance on tomorrow's MTV Video Music Awards…

This will be the embattled starlet's first formal return to the spotlight since being released from jail and rehab.

Lohan was spotted yesterday at the Nokia Theatre in downtown L.A. during rehearsals for the big show. Sources tell me that Lohan's appearance will address or at least allude to her headline-making troubles.

When I chatted with first-time show host Chelsea Handler on Thursday, she said she'd love for Lohan to be at the VMAs. "That," the funnylady said, "would make for a lot of material."

No surprise, but Handler's cutting comedy often includes cracks about Lohan and her parents, Dina and Michael.

Will Linds and Handler appear on the VMA stage together? We sure hope so.

A rep for MTV did not immediately comment.
