According to the Associated Press, Taylor Swift has written a song about last year’s Kanye West incident and will unveil it with a surprise performance tomorrow night at the VMAs. That means the two probably won’t team up as some had hoped (here are some of our suggestions for such a pairing), but we’re still dying to hear Swift’s musical take on the now-infamous encounter.
What do you think? Are you excited to hear it, or should they move on, already?

We'd heard rumors that a new Zune was on the way, but here's a spot of evidence that something's actually up: Microsoft's adding a senior mechanical engineer to help build "the next generation of portable entertainment and communication devices." While the job listing in question is technically for Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business, which oversees Windows Phone, it's clear that some things have changed since the Entertainment & Devices shakeup: "We are the team that shipped the Zune HD," the post reads. It appears that there's a new group within Microsoft called the Portable Entertainment Group which isn't afraid to design its own hardware and includes the Zune team, though whether that hardware be Zune, phone or something more obscure still remains to be seen.

The four unique girls of 2NE1 are targeting the world market.
Fans are looking forward to seeing if 2NE1 will be able to become world stars with their first official album, “To Anyone“, as the group is looking to build up an international fanbase before starting promotions in Japan next year.
2NE1 launched their album not only in Korea, but also on Apple’s iTunes. YG Entertainment has already successfully launched and marketed Taeyang’s first solo album “Solar” internationally through iTunes.

ELVA Hsiao returns with a neon-color cyber image for the first music video from her upcoming album. The title track “瀟灑小姐 (Miss ELVA)” follows in a long line of her techno dance hits like “Shinning Love” and “Confession”. It has an endlessly repeating hook that makes the song incredibly catchy. Although some people be sick of autotune already, it’s actually pretty interesting to hear two autotuned voices harmonizing with each other…like listening to a robotic duet.
In the “Miss Chic” music video, ELVA is dressed in three specially-designed outfits to show her contrasting styles. The neon pink creation reportedly cost NTD$300,000 and looks to be a sure-fire hit in cosplay parties. To accentuate her “chic-ness” in the video, ELVA becomes a time-traveling video game heroine who saves her man with girl power. The production invited Jimmy Hung (from Black & White) as their stunt coordinator to provide some authentic action. They also utilized motion control technology to capture the singer's every expression. ELVA promises “the effect will be cooler than 3D.”
If you bought a Samsung Fascinate from Verizon Wireless, you might have been feeling a certain way at the fact that the default search engine on the device is Bing and not Google. In addition to Bing being the default, Google Search isn’t even a selectable option. It is well known that Verizon and Microsoft have entered into a multi-device agreement to promote Bing, appearing as the exclusive option on Verizon’s BlackBerry handsets for instance. It wasn’t known if users would ever be able to change search engine options, but a Verizon Wireless spokesperson has chimed in, and broke it down for everyone. Once the Fascinate is updated to Android 2.2, users will be able to download the Google Search application to get their Google searching fix directly from the device. Even with the new application though, customers will not be able to change the default search setting from Bing to Google, and the search button will always trigger a Bing search. Oh well.

We knew dualscreen laptops were the future after our Toshiba Libretto review, but unfortunately for Toshiba theirs was a future attempted too soon. Acer, however, is apparently testing a rig that might be powerful enough to do the trick -- pictures bequeathed to Tech Review Source purportedly show a 2.67GHz Intel Core i5 processor (likely a Core i5-580M) with dual fifteen-inch multitouch screens, making both the Libretto and MSI's 7-incher look positively dated by comparison. Sadly, the publication's source says this device is "still slow and buggy," so retail availability is probably a long while off, but now you can tell your friends you too saw the future and it looked reasonably good. Peep a couple more shots of the laptop at our source link while you wipe your sweaty palms off.

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of war. Better choose your side soon, too. The tablet wars are going to get nasty.
Apple’s army is prepped, already backed by over 3 million zealous iPad owners. But the Google Android horde is quickly banding together and will soon offer countless weapons from several major CE houses and dozens of smaller camps. Google is also quietly forming the stealthy Chrome OS platoon that will likely enter the battle a bit late, but shouldn’t be forgotten, ether.
Then there’s the suit & tie brigade with their trusty BlackBerry holstered on their hips, ready to be tethered to the coming BlackPad. Don’t forget about the wildcard: The HP-produced, webOS-powered PalmPad no doubt has a couple of tricks, enough to put up a decent fight. Then there’s the battle-tested Windows that might still be able to fire a few direct shots.

The rumor mill has been spinning, spinning, spinning about the male backup dancers for 2NE1’s music video, “Clap Your Hands”. Dissecting, freezing, screen-capping, and contributing to the 1,000,000+ viewer statistics on the official “Clap Your Hands” Youtube video, suspicious fans are insisting that 2NE1’s backup dancers are none other than their YG brothers, Big Bang!
Claiming to be able to recognize the boys by their hands, necks, body postures, and even by their eyebrows, a flurry of ID’d screenshots have been making their way through Big Bang and 2NE1 fansites alike. The bond between YG Entertainment artists are known to be quite strong, so it’s entirely possible that Big Bang has got 2NE1’s back. As it remains rough speculation at this point, fans are hoping for some confirmation when 2NE1 hits the comeback stage.
