Best Rumor Ever: Angelina Jolie Cheated on Brad Pitt with Lady Gaga

It's like celebrity gossip magazines and websites are actively engaged in a bet over who can make up the most ridiculous Angelina Jolie gossip item this week.

With this latest rumor - that Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga were lovers - celebrity gossip has officially hit a new high. Or low, depending on your perspective.

According to Ian Halperin, author of the recent lie bestseller Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, that's precisely what happened.

Jolie, who is reportedly bisexual, Lady Gaga, a rumored hermaphrodite, had a secret rendezvous at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel that lasted all night, he says.

“Angie is obsessed with Lady Gaga,” a source said.

Aren't we all. That definitely confirms the affair!

Last week, In Touch spoke to Anna Kowalski, a housekeeper who worked at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC, who claimed Angelina had sex with a dialect coach.

Watch Mariah Carey in 2 New Music Videos

She may be turning 40 this year, but that won't stop Mariah Carey from flaunting her body in the name of her art.

The superstar singer rolls back the years as she dresses up as a naughty nurse in the video for her latest single Up Out My Face.

In the promo, directed by the star and her husband Nick Cannon, Mariah wears a revealing nurses uniform and high heels as she performs with female rapper Nicki Minaj.

Rihanna: One Year After Assault

Rihanna doesn't dwell on the past. She's got the tattoos to prove it.

Along with the Grammy Awards Sunday comes the unfortunate reminder of last year's incident with Chris Brown on the eve of the music biz's biggest night.

But the "Russian Roulette" singer is focusing on the future. To that end, on Ellen today, Rihanna expounded on the latest of her "approximately 13" tattoos.

"It reads, 'Never a failure, always a lesson,'" the 21-year-old said. "Basically, it's OK to make a mistake, just don't make them twice." Words to live by!

Which, naturally, leads to questions about her current status in the land of love, where she has recently been linked to baseball star Matt Kemp.

Windows 7 On an iPad? Yes You Can

Want to run Windows 7 on the new Apple iPad? Citrix says it will soon be possible--at least virtually--using a new version of its Citrix Receiver software.

Promised to be ready when the tablet computer ships in March, Citrix says the new software, based on the current iPhone version, is a response to questions about how the iPad might find a home in the enterprise.

"If your company has XenDesktop or XenApp you will be happy to know you will be able to use your iPad for real work as well," wrote Citrix Vice President Chris Fleck in a company blog.

"It turns out the 9.7 inch display on the iPad with a 1024x768 screen resolution works great for a full VDI XenDesktop. Windows applications run unmodified and securely in the data center, and even multiple applications at once."

Citrix says the iPad's larger screen solves many of the challenges users' faced because of when using the iPhone with a virtualized Windows desktop. (Which sounds pretty painful, if you ask me).

iPhone OS 3.2 has support for video calling, file downloads, and SMS

The iPad may not have a camera in its current incarnation, but Apple's at least laying the foundation for one: we just confirmed with extremely trusted sources that iPhone OS 3.2 contains rudimentary support for video calling, which could explain that mysterious space at the top of the device in our leaked pics. We're told that there are hooks to accept and decline a video conference, flip a video feed (which suggests a front-facing camera) and -- most importantly -- run the video call in either full screen mode or in just a portion of the screen. That means you'll be able to chat and do other things at the same time, which could mean there's at least some type of multitasking going on here.

iPad Aftershocks: Apple's "Netbook" Is Screwing Netbook Makers

The iPad is Apple's netbook. It's small, built for the web, and cheap. Which is a problem for the people who make actual netbooks, since they wanted to undercut Apple. And it's hard to get cheaper than glorified smartphone guts.

Originally, according to Digitimes, Asus and MSI wanted to undercut whatever the iPad would cost by 20 to 30 percent, but that was when they expected it to cost $1000, which made it kinda easy. It's a lot harder when the entry price is $500 for the iPad, thanks to the fact it's using essentially mobile guts (the A4 chip is the beefiest component, it seems, and it's designed for smartbooks, so it's lower power than anything in a full-size netbook).

Zaizai is open to lightning marriage ; Clears off his rumor with Bowie Tsang

Bowie Tsang while working together with Vic Zhou on their new movie had been spotted picking him up and sending him home in her car. Zaizai stated that they were only work partners, and when hearing from the press that Patty Hou was getting married very soon, he expressed his envy and said that he doesn't rule out the idea of a lightning marriage in the future.

Zaizai was filming (preparing for the filming of) "Killer OU Yang Peng Zai", movie produced by Eric Tsang, he had been spotted many times by the press driving him to and from the filming sets (choosing clothes and sets for the movie) and it was rumored that the 2 had dinner together. On the afternoon, as Zaizai was on an endorsing event for Oden at a super mart, he stated that this rumor was really strange and doesn't need more explanation than that.

T.O.P’s solo single & MV revealed at Big Show concert

The drippingly sexy T.O.P of Big Bang has fangirls around the world squealing with the announcement of a solo single last week, and as promised, this track and its music video were revealed at last night’s Big Show Concert!

With its monochrome & contemporary concept, T.O.P matches hotness with abstraction. The MV itself is basically a man (TOP) smirking at the camera with some random objects (dog, luggage, monkey playing a guitar) all over the place and ornamentation (girls) on furniture, a spider web and, well, on top of TOP… and that’s more than enough to get many girls’ heart pumping! Without further ado, check out a fancam of T.O.P’s music video here:

T-Mobile myTouch2 / myTouch Slide (HTC Espresso) photos leaked

T-Mobile USA will soon have a new myTouch Android smartphone, namely the T-Mobile myTouch Slide (or myTouch2 – it’s not clear yet what the handset’s official name is).

The folks over at Droid Developer have it that the myTouch2 / myTouch Slide is actually the HTC Espresso – one of the phones included in HTC’s 2010 line-up.

The big difference between the myTouch2 / myTouch Slide and the original T-Mobile myTouch (aka HTC Magic) is that the former comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. There’s also an optical trackpad instead of a trackball.

Gen.Y DualBOOT – new dual boot solution for Windows Mobile & Android

If you have a Windows Mobile (6.1 or 6.5) smartphone and want to use Android on it, you can now do it easier than ever, as a new dual boot solution has been recently launched.

Called Gen.Y DualBOOT, the application is free and has been published over at the xda-developers forum.

This is the thread where you can read all the instructions you need and download the application – note that you still have to install Android yourself, before running the app, as this is just an application that lets you choose between Windows Mobile and Android when you start your phone.

Reportedly, the Gen.Y DualBOOT app works with Windows Mobile smartphones that have WVGA, VGA and QVGA screen resolutions.

Google still thinks it can change China

After all the posturing of the past few weeks, Google CEO Eric Schmidt apparently still thinks that his company can change China.

In comments at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Schmidt continued to soften his rhetoric toward the government of China, which Google all but accused of orchestrating a cyberattack that resulted in the theft of intellectual property. "We like what China is doing in terms of growth...we just don't like censorship. We hope that will change and we can apply some pressure to make things better for the Chinese people," Schmidt said, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

Google is trying to determine the future scope of its presence in China. Two weeks ago it declared that unless Google was allowed to offer an uncensored search engine in China, it would shut down its existing censored search engine and would consider pulling out of China entirely. Since then, Google has appeared to try and find middle ground between itself and the Chinese government.

Simon vs. Ellen: American Idol Judges Feuding Already, Sources Say

American Idol viewers haven't seen Ellen DeGeneres on TV yet. But Simon Cowell may have already had enough of her!

The comedian started taping the Hollywood rounds of the show last week and will debut on Fox on February 9. How is she getting along with the most important panelist of all?

“Their relationship started poorly, but now the situation has escalated,” a source told RadarOnline

The tension stems from Ellen's very first day on set, as reports indicate Simon showed up an hour and a half and DeGeneres was "greatly annoyed" by such tardiness.

“There’s two camps on the show this season,” said a show insider. “It’s a lot more tense than previous seasons. It seems as if Ellen has decided to try to take control since Simon is on his way out and that’s created problems.”

Sounds like it will create great television, as well. Are you excited for Ellen to debut? Do you wanna see Katy Perry take over for Cowell next season?

You can also check out the leaked names of rumored season nine semifinalists. The next American Idol will likely come from this group.

Zoe Saldana proves she's just as hot as her Avatar incarnation on a photoshoot in Mexico

She's already a pin-up thanks to her big screen role as princess Neytiri in the box-office smash hit Avatar.

And judging on these pictures Zoe Saldana is just as much of a sex symbol in her own right as she is in her Na'vi form.

The actress, 31, was spotted taking in some rays on the beach in Los Cabos, Mexico wearing a shear white kaftan over a white bikini, showing off her stunning 5ft 7 figure.

But the trip was for business, not pleasure, as Zoe was taking part in a photoshoot.

Rumor : Jennifer Aniston ‘Wants Gerard Butler to Live With Her’

DESPERATE, single and just a few years away from the menopause, Jennifer Aniston has asked Gerard Butler to live with her, insiders say.

The pair — who split last September after a brief summer romance — rekindled their romance in January (conveniently) to promote their new film, The Bounty Hunter.

And according to the National Enquirer magazine, Jen wants Gerard to move in to her Beverly Hills home.

“Gerard could barely contain his excitement when Jen suggested that he move into her Beverly Hills mansion,” a source said.

“Before the words, ‘Move in with me,’ were out of Jen’s mouth, Gerard shouted out, ‘Yes!’

“He loves spending time with Jen and thinks they’ll have a ball living together.”

Looks like Jen can finally cancel her subscription to that dating agency.

Adobe Busts Out Porn in iPad Flash Crusade

Adobe is not going to take Flash's exclusion from the iPad lying down. Their latest salvo: enlisting their friends at Bang Brothers to show just how badly you're going to miss Flash video on Apple's new device.

Lee Brimelow over at TheFlashBlog provides ten examples of pages that will be incapacitated on the iPad due to the lack of Flash, ranging from Disney to Google Finance to... well, to hard core pornography. In fact, it's near the top of the list, at the intersection of Hulu and CNN.

Nexus One for AT&T's 3G bands likely in the works

By all appearances, Google's trying to break Android free of the surly bonds of the manufacturers and carriers that support it, opening its own online store and selling unlocked Nexus Ones to anyone willing to pony up the $529. Problem is, the Nexus One as we know it today is only available in a configuration that supports North American 3G on AWS spectrum, meaning you've got to go with the States' fourth-largest carrier if you want to blaze -- you've got no other option. That's not very "open," is it, Google?

That brings us to an FCC finding today. Take a look at the two labels above; the one on the right comes from the current Nexus One. The label on the left, meanwhile, is physically identical and comes from a new filing for a device with FCC ID NM899110. The old Nexus One has ID NM899100, so this new device is just a single digit off -- likely a variant of the existing model. If you look into the RF reports a bit, you'll immediately notice that the new handset supports 3G on WCDMA Bands I, II, and V, meaning that it'll work on AT&T (and Rogers, Bell, and Telus for the Canadians in the room) along with most of Europe. Same label style, nearly identical model ID, different bands -- we think we know what's going on here. Google, your move.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt Is Not Impressed With Your iPad

Google's CEO rarely comments publicly on the competition. When asked directly today about the iPad, though, he couldn't resist a minor jab in Apple's direction.

Schmidt was fielding questions from reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland when he made is opinion—such as it is—of tablets known. Of course, Google also has a vested interest in the space, with more than a few upcoming slates set to run Android. Still! It's actually a pretty good point.

Paris Hilton As Marilyn Monroe

Paris did her best Marilyn on the set of photo shoot for her upcoming fragrance campaign on Friday.

“On set today at my new fragrance campaign photo shoot — a la Marilyn Monroe,” the heiress wrote. Paris, 28, already has nine different scents for men and women on the market.

Drinking With Brad Pitt Can Lead to "Alcohol Poisoning," Costar Warns

Earlier this week, British tabloids reported that Brad Pitt's "drinking and pot smoking" could lead to a split from girlfriend of five years Angelina Jolie.

Samm Levine, Pitt's costar in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, admits the actor, 46, likes to throw back a few.

"Oh, he's a fine drinking buddy," Levine, 27, told UsMagazine at the Sundance Film Festival Wednesday while promoting his new film Drones. "Between Brad and Quentin, I would die of alcohol poisoning on day two if I had to keep up with those guys!"

Joking aside, he said it was "great" working with Pitt.

"Brad and I had a great talk about accents because I loved the accent that he was doing, and we had a wonderful fun time," Levine said. "I began poking fun of Jon Voight's accent from Anaconda."

He didn't realize until later that Voight, 71, was Jolie's father.

Mozilla officially launches Firefox Mobile for Maemo

No more beta versions or release candidates for Mozilla Firefox for Maemo: the mobile browser for Nokia’s N900 has been finally (and officially) launched.

Presented by Mozilla as “the most modern mobile Web browser available”, Firefox for Maemo 5 brings most of the features that you can enjoy when using Firefox for desktop.

These features include: weave-sync, add-ons (more than 40 available at the moment), Awesome Bar, location-aware browsing, safe browsing, desktop synchronization, and support for more than 30 languages.

To download Firefox mobile (aka Fennec), visit http://firefox.com/m on your Nokia N900.

Now let’s wait for Mozilla to announce Firefox for Android (which should come in February, in a beta version for the beginning), or, why not, for Symbian.

Google phasing out support for IE6

Google has clearly had enough with Internet Explorer 6.

As of March 1, Google will no longer support IE6 on its Google Docs and Google Sites services, it announced Friday. IE users will have to upgrade to at least version 7 if they want to use those products, as "many other companies have already stopped supporting older browsers like Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers," the company said in a blog post.

A flaw in IE6 was exploited in the recent cyberattacks against Google and other U.S. companies, and Microsoft scrambled to patch the flaw in a rare out-of-cycle patch release earlier this month. Use of the browser--considered much weaker than more recent versions of IE within the security community--has been dropping with the release of Internet Explorer 8 but it is still being used by 13.5 percent of Web surfers, according to statistics from StatCounter.

Google offers bounty for Chrome vulnerabilities

Researchers can get up to $1337 for pointing out flaws

Google is offering security researchers a cash reward for finding flaws in its Chrome web browser.

The company said that it would be doling out payments ranging from $500 to $1337 to developers who find and directly report security holes in the browser. The $1337 amount is an apparent homage to the hacker term '1337' (pronounced "elite".)

The payment system will apply to flaws in the Chromium open source project along with the Chrome browser and bundled components such as Google Gears.

In unveiling the campaign on the official Chromium blog, Google Chrome security team member Chris Evans said that the company was looking to bring more third party researchers into its midst.

"Some of the most interesting security bugs we've fixed have been reported by researchers external to the Chromium project," he wrote.

"Thanks to the collaborative efforts of these people and others, Chromium security is stronger and our users are safer."

Alienware's Core i7-equipped M15x and M17x now available to order

Alienware didn't drop too many details about how it was revising its M15x and M17x gaming lappies back at CES, but now both of those are finally ready to be ordered by the drooling masses. The "little" guy is available with a Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor, your choice of a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M or 1GB GeForce GTX 260M, a 1,600 x 900 or 1,920 x 1080 15.6-inch WLED panel, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 250GB HDD (or a 128GB / 256GB SSD for those with the coinage) and plenty of lights to go around. Another prime time show for Arashi

NTV has confirmed that popular group Arashi will have a new prime time show starting this spring. Tentatively titled "Arashi ni Shiyagare," the show will occupy the Saturday 10:00pm time slot left open by "Enta no Kamisama," which is ending in March.

The program is described as an improvised entertainment variety show. Each episode will feature a guest celebrity, but the members of Arashi will not be told in advance who the guest is nor what the guest will be doing on the show.

Jay Chou recommends Pandamen for kids

Yesterday, while Jay Chou was in Shanghai promoting for “Pandamen,” he responded to the criticisms of the drama being low IQ, “Yes, it’s quite retarded.” Then he immediately added, “It’s a light comedic drama.” Jay has always been confident of his work, but he quickly left the stage after 13 minutes and refused to accept interviews, which he explained that it was because he needed to catch his flight.

The drama cost over one hundred million (NTD) to produce, and is airing on various regional networks in Mainland, but the ratings have been low. It has also been criticized of having too many product placements. However, starting on February 5th, CTS will be broadcasting Jay Chou’s original edited version of “Pandamen”. The "gruesome and violent fight scenes" that Mainland viewers can’t see, will be shown in Taiwan. Jay commented, “We probably have the coolest fight scenes in a modern series.”

Will Beyonce Or Taylor Swift Rule The Grammys? Oddsmakers Weigh In

Ladbrokes and Bodog oddsmakers say Swift is the favorite for Sunday night.

The 52nd annual Grammy Awards air Sunday from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and it's sure to be a star-packed night. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Jay-Z lead the nominees, and what we're most looking forward to is some good old-fashioned Grammy wagering.

We love gambling. Some people might even say we're addicted to it. And while we can totally quit whenever we want, the Grammys are perhaps the most excellent betting event of the year. Wagering on them is basically like wagering on which way the wind will blow or what color socks that dude in the cubicle next to you will wear tomorrow: The results are almost completely random, which really spices things up.

Still, there are those out there who are experts at handicapping these sorts of things (they're called oddsmakers), and in the hopes of getting a leg up, we turned to them for some advice. These are their picks for the night's biggest categories — Album, Record and Song of the Year, plus everyone's favorite crapshoot, Best New Artist. We're not gonna lie, we're relying pretty hard on their expertise — we need a new flat-screen TV.

Joe Jonas: ‘Jonas Brothers Aren’t Splitting’

JOE Jonas insists there’s no need to panic — the Jonas Brothers aren’t splitting up!

Joe says although he and his sibling bandmates are currently busy pursuing their own solo projects, the group aren’t about to go their separate ways.

“We are happy being a band, and it’s what we’ve always wanted to do,” he told People magazine Thursday.

“We are not breaking up. There’s no reason for us to do that.”

Joe, 20, recently insisted he’s single.

“This is the longest I’ve ever been single actually,” he said earlier this month. “I love it. I still date and things like that but just not committed, which is nice.”

Robert Pattinson Talks Tyler, Looks Hot

Twilight Saga fans are in for a major shock this spring: Robert Pattinson will appear on the big screen in a very un-Edward-like role.

As Tyler in Remember Me, Pattinson fights with his (human) father, deals with a tragedy and falls for a blonde.

The actor spoke about the role in a new interview, explaining what drew him to the character:

“I remember reading the script and thinking that I like the flow of the dialogue. It was just different and in a lot of ways, other lead male characters in other films seem like just a vessel: naive and ridiculously innocent, so audiences could feel along with him. But Tyler didn’t feel like that."

Slate Showdown: iPad vs. HP Slate vs. JooJoo vs. the Android Tablets

Everybody's talking about tablets, especially those single-pane capacitive touchscreen ones more specifically known as "slates." The iPad is the biggest newsmaker, but there are lots headed our way (most with built-in webcams). Here's how they measure up, spec-wise:

Michael Dell pulls Mini 5 Android tablet from his parka, offers to put one in yours in 'a couple of months' (video)

Hot on the heels of us thinking maybe the Dell Streak / Mini 5 was possibly due for a name change to the "M01M," a roving heckler from TechCrunch managed to catch the man himself, Michael Dell, on the street and get a quick demonstration of the thing -- which he with no uncertain terms referred to as the "Mini 5." He swiped through a number of home screens and quickly showed the five megapixel camera on the back, mentioned 3G wireless, and then tucked it away again. No price was given, but the biggest news is confirmation that it's coming out in "a couple of months," which is something of a surprise given the company was still calling it a concept just a few weeks ago. Video of this choice encounter is after the break.

Five Reasons Not to Get an iPad Too Soon

There is something very alluring about a device that Steve Jobs hailed as both "magical" and "revolutionary"--a mix of Disneyland and quantum physics. It makes you want to be the first on your block or among your peers to claim one of the wondrous new iPads as your own.

Steve Jobs said "being in technology for 30-plus years I can attest to the fact that the technology road is bumpy. There is always change and improvement, and there is always someone who bought a product before a particular cutoff date and misses the new price or the new operating system or the new whatever. This is life in the technology lane."

Of course, he wasn't referring to the iPad, but his words ring just as true. Jobs said that in 2007 in response to the backlash caused when Apple cut the price of the iPhone by $200 only months after the early adopters forked out $600 to be first in line.

TVXQ’s Jaejoong goes back to blonde

Kpop’s #1 blonde bombshell, Jaejoong of TVXQ, has gotten fans buzzing with his recent hair change-up; after two years of black and brown, Jaejoong has dyed his hair blonde once again. It isn’t that distinctive platinum blonde from O promotions, but hey, I’m sure many fans are loving the dark strawberry blonde just as much.

Check out some photos of Jaejoong taken earlier at Gimpo Airport today; the idol was spotted sporting a leopard print Colonize jacket and joined by Yoochun and Junsu.

Raymond Lam wasn't able to fling off Miriam Yeung's tight grasp

Last night, Miriam Yeung and Raymond Lam were on the streets pushing and pulling for a dating scene in their new film "Perfect Wedding" directed by Barbara Wong. As the weather was cold, before the two started shooting they were buried under heavy coats and often drank hot tea to stay warm. When it was time to shoot, Miriam and Raymond were on the streets pulling and pushing, then Raymond made up with her again, looks just like Miriam and her husband Real Ting's warm relationship, then the couple took a stroll together.

Newly wed, Miriam has been trapped in a sweet marriage and is especially into shooting love scenes. In another scene, when Raymond flinged off her hand in one go, Miriam immediately took it back and held onto his hand tightly. In the end, they embraced sweetly. Perhaps its just been too long since they last worked together, or that it was the first day of work and its not often that Raymond does movies, so their chemistry hasn't kicked in yet since they NGed quite a bit.

At 9pm, Miriam's fans especially came to the set with a cake to celebrate her birthday early, which is on February 3rd. Miriam was extremely happy, she quickly cut the cake with fans and blew the candles. A sudden happy birthday party was held on the set.

Lee Hyori 4th album title song predicted to be the ‘2nd U-Go-Girl’

It is known that the title song to sexy icon Lee Hyori’s comeback 4th album, set to be released late-February or early-March, is composed by newcomer composer.

An official said, “Lee Hyori is not only working on songs from famous composers but also from various newcomer composers. Lee Hyori participated in the selection of the songs for the album, and song from a newcomer composer stood out for her hence there is high chance that it will be the title song for the album.”

Another official also added, “A song from one newcomer composer is like to give a high level of sensationalism. Please look forward to that great song.”

It was also revealed that, “The title song to Lee Hyori’s 4th album is comparable to that of ‘U-Go-Girl’ off her 3rd album, and it is composed by a new composer. Please look forward to a big hit.”

Microsoft confirms Windows Mobile 7 announcement for MWC. Old i-mate running WM7 spotted?

While reporting its latest financial results, Microsoft has apparently confirmed that Windows Mobile 7 would be announced really soon – most probably at MWC 2010 (15 – 18 February).

According to Electronista, Microsoft’s CFO Peter Klein declared that the company’s new version of Windows Mobile would be unveiled “in a few weeks.”

This is in line with some of the latest rumors we’ve heard about WM7, so let’s hope Microsoft will indeed announce the new OS next month.

Until then, I must mention that the minimum required specs for WM7 that we’ve posted a few days ago may not be accurate.

Steve Jobs compares iPad battery life to Kindle's: 'You're not going to read for 10 hours' (video)

Walt Mossberg was able to get a moment with Steve Jobs immediately after Wednesday's iPad event, and scored some great unscripted commentary from the Apple honcho on the iPad and its competition.

The interview portion starts at 1:55. Most impressive to me is how dismissive jobs is of the only clear advantages Kindle has right now. 10 hours of battery life versus a week on Kindle? Ptttthhhhppptt. "You're not going to read for 10 hours." And yes, he is talking to you, specifically. Kindle books currently priced five dollars less than iBooks? HA! "The prices will be the same," although what that price will be and how that gap will be closed remain a mystery. But it's been decreed, so there you go.

'Insulting and irresponsible': Nicole Richie blasts suggestions she ever suffered from an eating disorder

These sizzling pictures of Nicole Richie give little clue to the weight issues which have plague her recent years.

With a tiny Size Zero frame giving her a severe case of 'lollipop head' syndrome, fans had become concerned for her health, insisting she had become too thin.

But Nicole, who is at her curviest best after having two children with boyfriend Joel Madden, has come forward to reassure fans she has always been healthy.

The 28-year-old also took the opportunity to blast critics who had accused her of suffering from an eating disorder.

Box Office: 'Avatar' and 'Edge of Darkness' battle for No. 1

This weekend will mark Avatar’s seventh weekend in theaters. In that time it’s become the highest grossing film of all time, crossing Titanic’s worldwide gross of $1.843 billion and likely to cross the $2 billion mark this weekend. With only one more record left to cross — Titanic’s domestic gross of $600 million (Avatar is likely to pass that milestone by mid-week) — this may be the first weekend that another film could take the top spot at the box office. And who has a shot at taking over the new title: none other than Mel Gibson, the actor who three years ago was as close to untouchable in Hollywood as they came. Oh, how times have changed. Give the 53-year old veteran an R-rated revenge drama and all seems to be forgiven. Tracking is doing well with older men, and the film is likely to debut in the mid-$20 million range, a number far below his 1996 film Ransom but better than his 2002 showing of We Were Soldiers. Also battling for some cash this frame is When in Rome, the romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel. Read on for my predictions.

1. Avatar: $27 million

I’m still convinced this film has another weekend in the top spot. Between the elevated ticket prices from 3-D sales, which are accounting for even more than 80 percent of the weekend grosses as the theaters open up a bit, and the must-see factor which still must be around considering the scant drops each weekend, this movie is constantly over-performing. Perhaps it will drop more than the 20 percent, which has been the norm, but I don’t predict it will be by much.

Apple's iPad to demand lion's share of tablet PC market?

It's pretty early in the game to call the iPad a winner (or loser) but that's not going to stop analysts and industry execs from their god-given right to bluster. AppleInsider did a nice roundup of Wall Street types predicting year one sales to be anywhere from 1 million and 5 million units with potential to grow as Apple churns out future device iterations, more content and carrier agreements, and a broader global reach of its devices and services. Paul Peng, executive VP of AU Optronics' global business unit, the company tasked with providing the iPad's display apparently, sees Apple selling up to 10 million units annually. Then again, AUO's going to hype this device with all it's got in hopes of selling additional panels to more clients.

Samsung sold 227 million phones in 2009

Just like Nokia, Samsung had a pretty good Q4 in 2009.

The South Korean company sold 69 million phones in the quarter, 9 million more than in Q3 2009 and 16% more than in Q4 2008. This allowed Samsung to exceed its target for 2009 and sell more than 200 million handsets – 227 million, to be exact (as we previously reported, about 40 million of those are touchscreen phones).

Samsung’s Mobile Unit reported revenue of 11.57 trillion won ($9.9 billion) and an operating profit of 0.99 trillion won ($852 million).

The company (currently the world’s second largest phone maker) estimates that its global market share exceeded 20% in 2009, helped by a steady growth in North America, Europe and emerging markets.

Samsung S5620 Monte photos and specs show up

Launched in the summer of 2009, the Samsung S5600 Preston may soon get a successor: the Samsung S5620 Monte.

The S5620 Monte has just appeared in a set of good-quality photos, and I must say that the phone looks pretty good.

The unannounced handset has a 3 inch touchscreen display and uses Samsung’s TouchWiz UI – but it may run bada OS, too. Other features include HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 200MB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a camera without flash.

Ella & Jerry Becomes Machi (Buddies)

What! S.H.E’s Ella is even more “difficult” than Jerry Yan? This has definitely got to be news. It is beyond imagination for the easy-going and sweet girl to be rumoured to be even harder to please than the idol heavenly king. When the rumours came from [Down With Love] production crew, Ella burst into tears upon hearing the allegations. When she recently accepted the exclusive interview from [Shi Bao Magazine], she shared, “It felt like a betrayal.”

Although she was dressed in a Blugirl summer dress, Ella’s heart was like at the bottom of the valley. The negative publicity was not only damaging to her image, but also incongruent with the “word of mouth” we have always heard about her all along. Ella is renowned to be a “resilient” artiste within the entertainment circle. Be it having to dress up and act “man”, to film kissing scenes in heavy rain, to carry over ten kilograms of prop refrigerator along the streets etc, all these never daunt her. Hence, she has been given the title of “Oshin”.

Matsuyama Kenichi Moves In with Koyuki

Matsuyama Kenichi and Koyuki have been rumoured together since collaborating on the film Kamui last year. While the two never admitted to the rumours at first, earlier in the week both parties finally acknowledged the relationship while attending separate functions. It seems their relationship has reached a new level. The latest issue of Japanese magazine Josei Seven reports that Matsuyama has moved in with Koyuki and her family. It seems like her family has already accepted Matsuyama as their son-in-law. Apparently Koyuki began renovating her house last fall to prepare for Matsuyama.

However, when the magazine interviewed Matsuyama's mother, she said she was unaware of the move. But a close source to the couple said that it's only because Matsuyama has not informed his mother yet.
