Rain from the skies over Southern California and tears from an emotional Meryl Streep could not dampen spirits at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's 67th annual Golden Globes Awards from Los Angeles on Sunday. Streep won her leading actress award for Julie & Julia and compared the indomitable spirit of her mother to that of master chef Julia Child, whom the acclaimed actress plays in writer-director Nora Ephron's movie.
The Blind Side star Sandra Bullock won the dramatic leading actress Globe for her portrayal of the real-life Leigh Anne Touhy, who brought a homeless high-school student into her family. Bullock said that the Touhys taught her that a family is made up of those who have your back, and she thanked husband Jesse Jackson for having hers.
She also told her American family to put down the Makers Mark, and her German family – in perfect German – to brush their teeth and go to bed.

The night before yesterday, ‘Apple Daily’ broke the news that Jay Chou & Jolin Tsai had a date at Shi Lin’s ‘Chung Cheng Bowling’and revealed that both of them brought along 7, 8 friends to accompany them, and they booked 2 bowling lanes which were next to each other. Jolin first arrived at the venue, and soon after, Jay also arrived. He deliberately wore a face mask so as not to draw attention, but Jolin seemed more bold; revealing her face, wearing a blue top and also wrapped in a scarf.

ASUS have spilled the beans on an upcoming ebook reader, and rather than the typical E Ink panel we’re so used to seeing, the ASUS DR-570 ereader will actually use a 6-inch high-brightness OLED panel. Right now all we have is a small image – we’re guessing it’s a render – together with some basic specifications, but even from that scant information things are looking promising.

Since TVB's controversy with HKRIA has not been solved yet, artists under the four record labels were left "empty-handed" at TVB's Jade Solid Gold Ceremony. EEG became the biggest winner with 19 awards. TVB's "son" Raymond Lam even won the Asia-Pacific Hong Kong Male Singer award. When he accepted the award, booing was heard from the audience. It is said that the record companies that didn't win as many awards were dissatisfied with the award results. Raymond admit that he was so shocked that he didn't hear the boos. TVB says he has a good foundation and alot of fans so he well deserved the award.
The highly anticipated idol drama has been pushed back one week and will make its debut on January 31st instead. Down with Love, starring Jerry Yan and Ella from S.H.E, was supposed to premiere next Sunday on January 24th. The GTV produced drama has been promoted heavily on TV, Internet, radio, and even public transit. Fans were shocked when the drama's TV promos on Friday suddenly changed the air date to January 31st instead. GTV’s representative explained, “The approval for Down with Love from (the censorship bureau of) China has been delayed by a week. Our Mainland collaborators would like us to push back the air date for one week. We will air one more episode of a behind the scenes special, with additional footage from Hangzhou and the premiere party.” When asked what will happen if the approval doesn’t come through in time, GTV responded, “The reason for the approval delay is not related to the drama’s content; it is a process issue. No matter what happens, CTV will air it on the 31st.”
