Hisense HS-E90 is the company’s first Android phone

Hisense is yet another electronics manufacturer that jumped on the Android bandwagon, as it recently announced the HS-E90 – its very first Android phone.

The Hisense HS-E90 features CDMA / EVDO Rev.A connectivity, a 3.5 inch HVGA touchscreen display, music and video players, Bluetooth, FM radio, 5MP autofocus camera, MicroSD card support, and a 1500 mAh battery that should last up to 4 hours in talk-time mode, or up to 180 hours in stand-by.

The handset’s official renderings are funny, because they show the logo of China Telecom, and an UI that has nothing to do with Android, looking like a TouchWiz interface from an AT&T Samsung featurephone:

The iMac iPhone (Concept)

This subtly updated iPhone concept from mysterious designer hdi is really rocking my world. It mixes aluminum and glass just like an iMac. And in fact, after seeing it, I may be disappointed by whatever iPhone Apple releases next.

I mean, just imagine the adorable little iMac stand that third parties would make for this phone! I'm getting cute overload just thinking about it.

Of course, I could do without the iMac's flickering, yellow screen. But that's just me, and authenticity might be the better way to go here.

Archos Phone Tablet tipped imminent by case manufacturer

One of the devices we’d hope might see a CES 2010 debut but which failed to materialize was the Archos Phone Tablet. The 3.5G cellularly-equipped version of the Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet, it was first tipped back in September 2009 and promised for 2010, but so far the French company have been no more specific about when we can expect the Android smartphone/tablet hybrid. Now, a listing for the Archos Phone Tablet has been spotted on the “coming soon” list for case manufacturer Noreve, prompting speculation that its launch could be relatively close.

Right now the link (which you can find right at the bottom of the Noreve homepage) takes you to a generic holding page, which claims the case is “either in the manufacturing process or out of stock. It will be available on-line very soon.” Obviously that doesn’t necessarily mean that Archos are definitely preparing to drop the Phone Tablet, but most of the other devices Noreve mention in their coming soon list are either on the market or imminent to it.

HTC Bravo may be launched in March

First appeared in December last year (without being officially announced), the high-end HTC Bravo might hit the market sooner than expected.

According to 3 Sweden’s Facebook page, the Swedish carrier could launch the HTC Bravo in March. Knowing this, other European markets will probably have the Bravo at about the same time.

The features of HTC Bravo are pretty much similar to the ones of Google’s Nexus One (which is also manufactured by HTC), including: a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU at 1GHz, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP camera with autofocus, and Android 2.0 or 2.1.

Charlene Choi makes male colleagues jealous by having bikini girls on left and right

Charlene Choi (Ah Sa), Sandra Ng, William Chan and Louis Fan star in Wong Jing's new film "Secret Beauty 美麗密令", yesterday the cast were shooting for a beauty pageant scene. Filming by the swimming pool, Ah Sa was dressed in a blouse surrounded by a group of pretty girls in bikinis. The girls were squishing Ah Sa so tightly that she fell into the pool.

Wong Jing who always had "dai sei" ideas, especially arranged scenes for Ah Sa that would get all her male colleagues jealous of her. On Ah Sa's left she had size 34C Jeanette Leung and on her right there is 33B Mainland artist Lin Jia Ling, the two of them were pushing their chest towards Ah Sa's cheeks. Since it's hard to get the right camera angle of the two girls chest accurately on Ah Sa's face, the scene took a few more extra shots before being successful.

Rep: Katy Perry Is Not Pregnant

After days of speculation, Katy Perry has finally confirmed rumours she isn't pregnant with fiancé Russell Brand's baby.

The 25-year-old singer gave a bit too much information on her Twitter micro-blogging page when she revealed she had started her period.

After being teased about her 'pregnancy' by her friend Lukasz Gottwald, Perry replied: 'You're gonna make me cry, maybe that's my period though. That's right I'm bleeding. Face. Better luck next month peepz.'

Rihanna strips off AGAIN as she goes topless for new magazine photoshoot

In recent months, Rihanna has been in the headlines for her lack of clothing nearly as much as her music.

Just weeks after declaring 'every woman should have naked pictures taken', the 21-year-old has peeled off again for a revealing new photoshoot.

In stunning black and white images for the new issue of American magazine W, Rihanna goes topless as she talks about her recovery from her difficult 2009.

The topless shots, taken from the side and behind, give Rihanna the opportunity to show off her extended tattoo collection.

'Avatar' sex scene: I wanna know what Na'vi love is

Fox released James Cameron’s original Avatar script online and despite the ambiguous intimacy we saw in the movie, it turns out Neytiri and Jake’s “tendrils INTERTWINE with gentle undulations.” Whoa! In the U.S. theatrical release, the pair only kiss a little (weak!) before the camera zooms out, and the next thing you know they’re on the ground, totally spent. It’s unclear why this wouldn’t have been included, but my guess is that it might imply that tendril-intertwining is what happens when the Na’vi have sex, which, I guess, by definition would mean they also had sex with the trees and the six-legged panther/dogs and the flying peacock lizards and anything else that ruffled their tendrils, and that might have been confusing and maybe made the whole thing less PG-13. Who knows? You can read the deleted section of the scene after the jump.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Na’vi queues and how sexy they are. Is this just a lady thing? I think it might be a lady thing. The whole point of meshing your queue with another queue is to achieve direct contact between two nervous systems. Judging from the characters’ ‘O’ faces during said contact, it also happens to feel great. In human terms, this is like plugging your iPod into your computer except that at the moment when one recognizes the other and they begin to sync, you have an orgasm. Queue-mingling seems like ultimate sex to me. I’m not saying it was sex in the context of the film, but I am saying it was sex in the context of my head. Anything involving the queue was my favorite part of the movie. I loved how electrical and machine-like it was, even though it sprouted out of something natural and sought to “plug in” to something else natural. It was all about finding the hub. Then just when I started thinking of the queue as a power adapter, all the nerve endings would spill out, writhing for attention. This is terribly sexy. (In the immortal words of Tobias Fünke, “I just blue myself.”) I especially enjoyed when a queue would sync up with a tree. I’m scared to explore that any further so I’ll start a new paragraph now.

Ke$ha's 'Animal' moves to the top of Billboard album chart

It was only matter of time before the slumbering chart giant that is Susan Boyle would wake up from her dream. We just didn't think Ke$ha would be the artist to rouse her.

The "TiK ToK" belter has succeeded where Rihanna, Adam Lambert, Andrea Bocelli, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke all failed, toppling the humble Scottish reality star from the top of the charts after a six-week run at No. 1.

Ke$ha's Animal debuted this week with a better-than-expected 152,000 copies sold, per Nielsen SoundScan, a figure that was no doubt helped along by her album being sold on the cheap (yours for just $6.99 on Amazon and iTunes!). Still, Boyle sold an impressive 93,000 of I Dreamed a Dream.

But Ke$ha did one better—one big one better—than her chart-topping predecessor…

Mac OS X dev reflects on Apple; $100K tablet bounty; App Store piracy

Former Apple executive Avie Tevanian discussed his former company as he joins a Palm investor, a Web site has offered up to $100,000 for information on Apple's rumored tablet, and iPhone App Store piracy has been estimated to cause $450 million in losses.

Former Apple exec Avie Tevanian on Apple

Avie Tevanian, in an interview with CNET, weighed in on Apple's history with the touch interface: "The whole touch interface is probably at its very early stages, which is interesting because I know when I was at Apple we were working on it many years ago, certainly before I had left. It's good to see it getting out there. Everybody is starting to use it, but my guess is there is still a lot more to be done there."

"Down With Love" High Profile Wedding, Ella’s Spitting Scene Got NCC Frowning

Ella’s Spitting Scene Got NCC Frowning

CTV and GTV’s idol drama – [Down With Love] is scheduled to be telecast on 24 Jan 2010. However it was unexpected that under the recent intensive promotion of the drama’s snip-shots, the scene of “Ella and Jerry bickering after nearly being involved in a car accident” and Ella “spitted” spitefully at Jerry just before she left, received complaints from some viewers. This created a first-ever in the history of a drama to receive a warning from NCC (Taiwan’s National Communications Commission) even before telecast.

The 1-minute long promotion clip featured Jerry’s character as an aloof lawyer and Ella’s character as a poor girl. Prior to this, they already had differences in the encounter at a restaurant. Subsequently when Jerry nearly knocked Ella over with his car, it immediately sparked off a quarrel between both parties. “Are you looking to die? Even so, you should stay away from my car!” Been down on her luck recently and still getting scolded when she was nearly knocked down, Ella turned away with her bicycle and retorted, “What’s there to look at, you think you’ve got big eyes? Puuut!” She spat.

Microsoft Should Kill Internet Explorer

It's time for Microsoft to kill Internet Explorer. It has to be done quickly, before it's too late to rebound. The browser is bleeding market share in a way that a new version alone cannot stop. It's time for the company to rethink the browser and come at it from a fresh perspective. Microsoft needs a new browser, not a new version of an existing one.

Mind you, I'm not arguing that Microsoft should get out of the browser game. I still think the software giant has a lot to offer. Features like WebSlices and InPrivate are nice advances, and Microsoft has been at the forefront of anti-phishing technology. I'm just saying that continually creating new versions of Internet Explorer is not the way to go.

Google rules search in December; Bing drops

Google continued to dominate the search market in December, trailed by Yahoo and Microsoft, according to media research firm Nielsen.

According to Nielsen's December U.S. Search Rankings, released on Wednesday, Web users queried search engines more than 9.9 billion times in December. Google accommodated almost 6.7 billion queries, capturing a 67.3 percent share of the month's searches.

Soul Searching: Google’s position on China might be many things, but moral it is not

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in times of great moral crises maintain their neutrality.” – John F. Kennedy

How exciting! Google has issued a statement saying it’s un-censoring its search results in China! And it’s threatening to pull out of the country completely, in retaliation for an alleged (and, we’re led to infer, government-backed) attempt to hack the Gmail accounts of Chinese dissidents!

As a tech story, it has all the makings of a classic diplomacy thriller; a modern-day Cuban Missile Crisis with Google as Adlai Stevenson, waving photos of hacked emails at China’s Valerian Zorin. “Don’t wait for the translation! Just answer yes or no!” Meanwhile, Google slowly provocatively moves photos of Tiananmen tanks back onto it’s Chinese image search.

Unsurprisingly for such a bold move, Google’s statement – that it would no longer be bowing to Chinese censorship, having spent four years doing precisely that – has sparked debate amongst my esteemed friends and colleagues in the blogosphere.

President Obama On Tiger Woods

President Obama believes scandal-scarred golf ace Tiger Woods can reclaim his life after that humiliating sex scandal that linked the sportsman to a bevy of shameless mistresses.

“I don’t want to comment on his personal relationship with his wife and family, but I’m a strong believer that anybody can look within themselves, find their flaws and fix them,” the Commander-In-Chief said in an interview with the Jan. 25 issue of PEOPLE Magazine, on newsstands Friday.

Katharine McPhee Shape Magazine Feb. 2010

In the Feb. issue of Shape Magazine, former American Idol finalist and bulimia survivor Katharine McPhee talks about her new healthy lifestyle.

“The more I focused on my weight, the worse my bulimia got,” the recently-blonde singing star recalls. “Now I’m more easygoing. I stopped fighting myself and became more forgiving of my body. Ironically, the weight came off naturally through exercise but no dieting.”

The new issue of Shape hits newsstands January 18. Katharine’s sophomore album, Unbroken, is available now.

“Modern Warfare 2” reaches $1 billion sales mark

Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick said in a statement, "There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and the mass appeal of this game."

The hugely popular ‘Call Of Duty’ franchise was released in the beginning of November 2009 and within 24 hours earned $310 million in sales, shattering numerous records in entertainment and gaming industry globally.

MW2 gathered $550 million in sales within five days after its release, surpassing hits like “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “GTA IV” game. It not only became the ‘best game’ of the year but also the most pirated game of 2009.

“American Idol” Season 9 Premieres To 29 Million Viewers

Idol’s still tops on the tube. Tuesday night’s return American Idol, now in its ninth season, pulled in 29.8 million viewers between 8pm and 10pm last night, according to early estimates.

This year’s Boston auditions, which featured former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham as a guest judge, peaked with 32.32m in the half hour from 9 PM. Overall, the audience was almost in line with last year’s Jan. 13 opener, which drew 30.4 million.

Microsoft, It's Time to Stop Charging for Other Companies' Content on Xbox

If your subscription is paid, you can watch Netflix for free on your computer, your Blu-ray player, your PS3, and soon, your Wii—but not on the Xbox 360. Microsoft, it's time to kill the Xbox internet tax

In case you don't own an Xbox, what I'm talking about is Xbox Live, Microsoft's online gaming/content/social network system for the Xbox 360. The free, or "Silver" version of the service offers a slim set of online capabilities, limited to game demo and add-on downloads, and some downloadable video content. But all the other stuff the Xbox does online—the online gaming, the movie and music streaming, the social networking—requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which costs $50 a year, $20 every three months, or $8 a month.

Why No iPhone Updates? The Tablet, Perhaps.

It’s been over three months since Apple last updated the iPhone OS to version 3.1.2. And while that’s not an unheard of amount of time between updates, it is quite a bit of time to go without any word that a new update is coming soon. Why? It could be because Apple doesn’t want to tip its hand about any information about the upcoming tablet, a new report today suggests.

“There hasn’t been an updated iPhone OS build because there’s too much tablet-related code/references in the OS and Apple obviously didn’t want that to leak. Oops,” is what Boy Genius Report says it is hearing from an Apple source it trusts. That news comes with a few other bits, including that the tablet’s multi-touch gestures are “out of control,” that it’s powered by an ARM processor, that it (obviously with the above information) runs on the iPhone kernel, and that it’s basically an “iPhone on steroids.”

How Gaming Helped Create A SexBot's Skin-Deep Personality

If you can get past the skin-soft silicon, the over-sexualized mouth, the transparent nightie and uncomfortably-separated thighs, Douglas Hines latest invention could offer some interesting insight into the way games interact with people.

But there's no getting around the awkward facts of the former Bell Labs Artificial Intelligence researcher's creations: Roxxxy and Rocky are a couple of talking, touch-sensitive, anatomically-correct sex robots. The thing that separates them from their inflated and silicon brethren are their personalities, Hines says.

"What we're trying to do here is replicate many emotional states," Hines tells me. "Not just erotic, but also laughing, sleeping, you know, tired, all of those. You cannot create the intonations in a computer generated program to make it sound like somebody is tired, so we had to build a library of voice files that provide what is required to create the level of realism we are looking for."

We're at the annual AVN adult entertainment expo, standing in Hines' booth which is tastefully decorated with lace curtains and battery-powered faux candles, there's a couch. On it rests the crown jewel of Hines research efforts: Roxxxy. She was created with the help of folks who have a deep understanding of animatronics and have worked with the likes of Disney and the Muppets. Roxxxy was modeled after a New York art student and then amply "improved" by Hines and his team.

Emmy Rossum Slams Heidi Montag’s Plastic Surgery Praise

The Hills’ Heidi Montag-Pratt spent most of Wednesday singing the praises of cosmetic surgery is a cover story with the new issue of PEOPLE, but at least one Hollywood actress wishes Montag would take her inflated bosom and hit the bricks.

Emmy Rossum, 23, is not impressed with Montag and took to her Twitter page this afternoon to blast the reality starlet for flaunting her new “exotic-Asian” look.

“It upsets me to see young women in the spotlight advocating plastic surgery,” Emmy wrote, later Tweeting: “ANY surgery is extremely dangerous & should not be taken lightly — much less, used as a tool to increase notoriety or popularity.”

Five Reasons To Look Forward To A 'Spider-Man' Reboot

Whether you're over the moon or down in the dumps about the news, the fact of the matter is Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are no longer a part of the "Spider-Man" franchise.

Sony's decision to pursue the superhero series without Raimi and Maguire hasn't gone without some backlash, but the course is set regardless of how downtrodden some members of the fan community may be. But there's no use dwelling on the past when it can't be changed. Instead, lets look towards something less tangible but no less exciting — opportunity.

No matter what the future holds for the "Spider-Man" series, here are five aspects about the property's relaunch that we're excited for.

A NEW HERO
While Tobey Maguire will be missed, it's exciting to think about the identity of Spidey's next performer. Casting Peter Parker is one of the single most important elements to the new series, and while we've already suggested a few names, it's likely that the role could go to an unknown actor. Without a doubt, the search for the next webhead is one of the most fascinating components of the reboot — let's just hope that the chosen actor isn't a universally panned pick.

Wonder Girls to open Justin Bieber’s Valentine’s Day concert!

Looks like recent circulating rumors are true – after their very successful run with the Jonas Brothers, the Wonder Girls will be opening for yet another American pop sensation: Justin Bieber!

As the Wonderful fanbase may recall, the rumors were sparked last month when the Wonder Girls revealed on an interview that they would possibly open for a famous male American artist at an upcoming concert. It turns out that these plans have been finalized, and JYP Entertainment has confirmed that the Girls will be rocking the opening stage for Justin Bieber’s February 14th concert in the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Check out details on the concert & grab your tickets at LiveNation while they’re still available!

Thank China: Google moves to make Gmail more secure by default

Google has decided to make its Gmail service more secure by default using more expensive encryption technology, according to a blog post today.

You can probably thank China for that. Yesterday, Google threatened to pull out of China because of a concerted effort to hack into the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. Some of the attacks were successful. Now Google is making it harder to break into email accounts.

It is doing so with the secure service protocol which you may or may not be aware of, depending on how geeky you are. To date, the default protocol for Gmail was http, which is the beginning of the URL that you use when sign on to Gmail. That protocol is not encrypted, so data passing between your web browser and Google’s services is not encrypted. The secure protocol uses https, which does encrypt the data to prevent snooping by third parties. If you’re in a public Wi-Fi location and you use http, then anyone with a little smarts can inspect the data, including your username and password (though not for Gmail), passing through the system. Clearly, this is not so cool if you’re a Chinese human rights activist.

'House' exclusive: Jennifer Morrison returns!

She’s baaaaaaaack!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Jennifer Morrison is heading back to House later this season. The timing and context of her return are being kept under wraps (read: I know but it’s too spoilery to reveal), but a House insider says, “You will see Cameron again on House before the end of the season.”

Morrison recently joined the Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker. It’s possible the actress will squeeze in her House comeback before the play starts previews next month. It’s also possible she will use one of her dark days (typically Monday) to fly out to L.A. and work on the show.

But enough about the boring logistics, Cameron’s coming back (just as I said she might)! React away in the comments! And then re-watch my Jesse Spencer interview from Monday night and look for clues that he knew all along. If you can’t find any, look again, because they’re there.

Brad and Angelina Donate $1 Million to Haiti Quake Relief

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's foundation is contributing $1 million to the emergency medical operation responding to the devastating 7.0-magnitude quake in Haiti.

"It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades," says Jolie.

Adds Pitt: "We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care."

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation is donating the funds to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres, whose three hospitals in Port-au-Prince were severely damaged, forcing the staff to work out of open-air hospitals.

Acer Aspire One 532h review

Acer's maintained a steady lead in the race to sell as many netbooks as possible in the past year. That's largely because the Taiwanese manufacturer figured out early that basic netbooks at lower prices would fly off shelves. And the new Aspire One 532h doesn't mess with that formula: the 10.1-inch netbook packs a new Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, Windows 7 Starter, 160GB hard drive and a six-cell battery all for $299. Yeah, we said $299. But at $100 less than most of the competition, how does the 532h compare in quality? What sacrifices, if any, are made for the lower price? We spent some time with the little guy, so hit the break for the full review of one of the cheapest Windows 7 netbooks around.

Motorola to put multitouch in most of its future phones?

Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has recently praised multitouch technology and, in an interview with Laptop Magazine, he stated that he thinks most of the company’s upcoming phones will “deliver multitouch”, mainly due to the fact that “the user feedback on multitouch is very good.”

As you may already know, Motorola’s latest flagship Android phone, the Droid, doesn’t have multitouch, although its European version – the Milestone – does offer this capability.

The absence of Droid’s multitouch may be explained by the fact that Apple holds a multitouch patent in the US (however, this hasn’t stopped Palm to put multitouch into the Pre).

Gigabyte to make Android phones, too?

While reporting about the launch of A688 – a new Android handset made by Foxconn for the Taiwanese mobile carrier Vibo – DigiTimes has also implied that computer maker Gigabyte may be interested to manufacture Android smartphones, too.

Of course, Gigabyte already has smartphones, but all of them run Windows Mobile (the latest-announced being the GSmart S1200).

Reportedly, Gigabyte and another Taiwanese company (AboCom Systems) are both in talks with Vibo for producing handsets based on Google’s Android platform, although there’s nothing certain at this moment.

Since Gigabyte makes Linux-based MIDs (like the 4.8 inch Gigabyte M528 seen in the photo below), the company can surely make Android devices as well.

BIG FOUR Avoids "Ticket Debt" Crisis: Adds One More Performance to Concert Lineup

"BIG FOUR World Tour Concert" confirmed yesterday that one last performance would be added to their lineup. Tickets for the additional performance on March 15th will go on sale to the public next Monday (the 17th). There will now be a total of 5 performances for their concert (3/11 to 3/15).

Dicky Cheung, Andy Hui, William So, and Edmond Leung jokingly expressed that adding one more performance will help them resolve the "ticket debt" crisis that they've been facing and no longer have to worry about receiving "death threats." Prior to adding the 5th performance, they owed friends and relatives over a thousand tickets to their concert...Edmond stated: "Yea, I received a "death threat" SMS message from my uncle that said: 'If you don't get me tickets, I will kill you.'". As Edmond was about to take out his cell phone to show the SMS message to the reporter, Dicky quickly stopped him and said: "Don't show the SMS message or you'll become a 'chung ba'!" (the nickname for model Elizabeth Kwong, who was allegedly beaten up by her boyfriend Amigo Chui).

In order to get tickets for their own concert, the 4 guys tried everything possible, including having Dicky's and Andy's assistants try the various online ticket-selling websites. Dicky said: "My assistant was able to get more than 100 tickets, however over 10% of the tickets were random single seats, so I had no choice but to tell him (the assistant) to "eat" the tickets himself!". They also heard rumors that scalpers were trying to re-sell their tickets for up to 2000HKD apiece.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z are highest-earning couple in Hollywood

The indisputable king and queen of the hip-hop prom are Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles. The couple, who quietly married in 2008, not only produce and sing some of the biggest hits on the charts (including "Single Ladies" and "Empire State of Mind") but they oversee clothing lines, perform around the world and endorse products from companies like American Express and Budweiser.

All that hard work has paid off. Between June 2008 and June 2009 the couple earned a combined $122 million putting them squarely at the top of our annual Top-Earning Couples list.

Our list includes actors, musicians and professional athletes. We talked to agents, managers, producers and lawyers to determine what celebrities earned from staring in movies, touring, selling albums, playing professional sports, creating lines of clothing and perfumes and appearing in ads.

Jay-Z and Beyonce both contribute significantly to their joint earnings. Last year Beyonce out-earned Jay-Z, bringing in $87 million to his $35 million. (The couple also topped last year’s list with $162 million. About half of that came from each star.)

Apple iSlate tablet “iPhone on steroids”; iPhone OS update delayed to keep the secret

Second Apple iSlate tablet rumor of the day – anyone would think it was slow in the gadget world post-CES – and according to the latest source we should basically be expecting an “iPhone on steroids”. The BGR is reporting on a “close Apple connect” of theirs with a decent track-record, who claims iSlate development is to blame for Apple not releasing an updated iPhone OS build any time recently; apparently there are too many chunks of tablet code and references to the larger-screened device in the new build, which would basically give the game away.

Tabloid Declares THE END of Brangelina!

They say truth is stranger than fiction. This old adage may be true in certain instances, but definitely not if you get your news from supermarket tabloid Star.

For Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the magazine boldly declares, there is simply no more faking it. The end has arrived. It is over. Done with. Thing of the past.

Until next week when Star reunites them, most likely.

Chen Qiao En is not tired of Ming Dao, fated one has not yet appeared

Chen Qiao En is not tired of Ming Dao after three collaborations but she said that there is no sparks between them. Even though she was rumored to be dating Roy Qiu recently, Chen Qiao En declared that she is still available and her beloved has not yet appeared.

In <<Let's Dance>>, Chen Qiao En played an optimistic and talented dancer Ding Xiao Han who, together with her sister, fell in love with the son of a wealthy family (Ming Dao). For this role, Chen Qiao En has to train under a Korean dance coach and try to grasp the character's emotions when she slowly goes blind.

After 2003's highly popular <<Prince Turned To Frog>> and 2007's <<Ying Ye 3+1>>, this is the third time that Chen Qiao En and Ming Dao are paired as lovers on screen. They look compatible together and many fans view them as "dream couple". They were even rumored to be going out for real when they were acting in <<Prince Turned To Frog>>. However, the two of them denied the news.

The reporter conducted an overseas interview with Chen Qiao En yesterday and asked her if there are really no sparks between her and Ming Dao. Chen Qiao En agreed and again clarified that they are only good friends. But she said that they always have good chemistry and will not get tired of Ming Dao. She is willing to work with him again if there are opportunities in future.

She said that news of them dating are ridiculous. Their reactions when they first heard it was "Impossible!". After that, they can't be bothered to respond.

Vodafone’s Nexus One to cost €150 on contract

We’ve already heard that the on-contract price of Google’s Nexus One for Europe might be under €200, and it looks like this is true.

A new leaked document shows that Vodafone Germany will sell the Nexus One for €149.90 with a contract agreement (presumably for 2 years), so we should expect the smartphone’s price to be similar in all the markets where Vodafone plans to offer it.

As seen in the image below, the €149.90 price is comparable with the prices of Nokia N97 Mini and LG BL40 Chocolate.

Apple Tablet Rumors Condensed In Handy Visual Guide

We're just a couple of weeks away from Apple (supposedly) unveiling its tablet, or iSlate if you will, and while we've heard every possible rumor under the sun let's revisit them in this handy visual guide.

There's a lot of speculation crammed into those four colors, but what do you think we'll see on January 27th? (If that's indeed the date). I think a lot of the speculation is fairly close to what we'll see, but if Apple doesn't allow multi-carrier support, we're doomed.

Take a look at this supershort sneak preview of Adam Lambert’s forthcoming video release, “Whataya Want From Me.”

“Avatar” Depression

Avatar leaves audience depressed. James Cameron’s 3D sci-fi epic may have been a little too real for some fans, who say they’ve experienced depression –even had suicidal thoughts– after watching the movie Avatar. Thousands of Avatar fans are complaining that they are uncomfortable with the state of reality after seeing the film because they long to enjoy the beauty of Pandora, the enticing utopia featured in the movie, CNN reported this week.

Thoughts on this?

On forum websites, like “Avatar Forums,” throngs of fans express disgust with the human race and disengagement with life. A topic thread entitled “Ways To Cope With The Depression of The Dream of Pandora Being Intangible,” has received more than 1,000 posts from people experiencing depression after seeing Avatar and fans trying to help them cope. The topic has become so popular that forum administrator Philippe Baghdassarian had to create a second thread so people could continue to post their thoughts about the movie.

TVXQ releases Break Out MV! ; Album art released!

Despite the rumored turmoil within the group the boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki have released the PV / MV for their upcoming Japanese single Break Out!

This MV is a bit darker than their videos in the past and it seems to have solo parts of each of the members. There’s no scene with all five of the boys together, I miss seeing all five of them dancing together like in videos of the past.

Thanks to anitabanita for the tip and check out the video below.

Google sell 20k Nexus One handsets in first seven days?

Google’s Nexus One has only been on sale for just over a week, and unsurprisingly the search giant aren’t being especially forthcoming with sales figures quite yet. That hasn’t stopped mobile application analytics company Flurry from sticking their collective neck out and estimating around 20,00 of the Android 2.1 devices had been sold, and contrasting that with first-week Motorola DROID sales of 250,000 handsets and iPhone 3GS sales of 1.6m handsets.

Flurry uses its partnerships with mobile app developers to compile its usage figures, claiming to monitor more than 10,000 Android and iPhone devs and the penetration of their software. That way, it can also track new devices making an impact on its database, and thus make educated guesses as to how many new Nexus One handsets were in-use.

Hugh Hefner: Twins Moving out of Playboy Mansion

Is Hugh Hefner ready to be a one-woman man?

The Playboy mogul exclusively tells me that two of his three girlfriends, 20-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, are moving out of the legendary Mansion and into the neighboring Playmate House.

What happened?

Hef explains that while his relationship with girlfriend Crystal Harris has been getting "more serious," the twins have expressed a lot of interest in doing more Playmate-related promotional work for the company...

"They've been hanging out with a lot of the other Playmates, and they see these girls traveling across the country to do promotion," he said. "They would like to be doing that, too."

In fact, Hefner, 83, said he was the one who initially suggested the move, which will take place within the next couple of weeks. "When they thought about it, they thought it was a good idea," he said, adding, "They will now be friends, but they won't be defined as the girlfriends."

The Cost of Google Pulling Out of China

If Google follows through on its threat to shut down operations in China in response to cyber attacks and spying efforts, it would be walking away from a fairly significant chunk of revenue. The resulting Internet advertising vacuum would lead to hundreds of millions of dollars flowing out of the United States and into Chinese coffers.

Baidu Wins the Lottery

There is a good reason that Baidu stock shot up more than 15 percent. The Chinese-based rival search engine stands to gain a virtual monopoly--or possibly a real monopoly--on Internet-based advertising in China if Google folds up its tent.

Currently, Google has a 30 percent share of the Internet advertising market in China. Baidu is the leader, with nearly 60 percent, and Microsoft and Yahoo make up the remaining ten percent. If Google walks away, the balance of power will be shifted further.

Paula Abdul ‘Regrets Leaving American Idol; Headed For Bulimia Relapse’

PAULA Abdul’s friends fear she’s headed for a bulimia relapse, it has been claimed.

Since leaving American Idol in August, the star — who has apparently dropped bellow 100 pounds — has been working out feverishly and skipping meals.

Paula — who was treated for bulimia at a Midwest clinic in 1994 — apparently regrets leaving Idol and his hoping Simon Cowell offers her a gig on X Factor when he brings the show to America next year.

“Her legs have become very thin, and her clothes are beginning to hang off her,” a source said.

“Paula claims she’s simply trying to stay in the best shape possible for future work projects – like her highly anticipated Las Vegas extravaganza.

“Right now, Paula is kicking herself for leaving Idol.

“And those close to her are scared to death that she’s fallen back into her old ways — binge eating, followed by purging.

Pirate Bay Founders Ordered To Pay Up, Despite Claiming They're No Longer Associated With The Site

Thought the Pirate Bay saga was done and dusted? I'm sure you can spare a few more tears for Universal Music, EMI Music, Sony BMG and Warner Music, who are still chasing their money from the two Swedish escapees.

Both Gottfrid Svartholm and Fredrik Neij moved outside of Sweden after the trial, and while The Pirate Bay site is still up and running, the law can't exactly prove the duo are still behind it. Nonetheless, that hasn't stopped the aforementioned labels trying their hardest to recoup 1m Kronor (USD$142,770).

Neij is still adamant they're no longer behind The Pirate Bay, and as he already owes 50m Kronor (which is around USD$7m), "a few million more or less doesn't really affect me."

One day, they're going to make a movie about all of this. Hopefully starring Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley.
