Taylor Swift's shock at Dane Cook's tribute... as she sees her face tattooed on his chest

Her latest album may be called Speak Now, but Taylor Swift was left at a loss for words tonight.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Swift was caught by surprise by a musical tribute from comedian Dane Cook.

The comic stripped to the waist to reveal a fake tattoo of the 20-year-old singer on his chest, before he picked up a guitar to perform a song for her.

The number was clearly a surprise for Swift who looked glamorous in a beige dress and black heels with silver jewellery.

Charlie Sheen Sues Porn Star Capri Anderson for Extortion

Hours after porn star Capri Anderson described her infamous night with Charlie Sheen on "Good Morning America,' Sheen filed a lawsuit claiming she's trying to extort him, RadarOnline.com reports.

During her TV appearance early Monday, Anderson claims Sheen threw a lamp at her and grabbed her by the throat. The adult film star plans to file charges against the 'Two and a Half Men' star, according to her attorney. She is suing for battery, assault and false imprisonment.

In his own lawsuit filed late Monday, the 'Two and a Half Men' star states Anderson is trying "an attempted shakedown and extortion of the internationally known actor and celebrity Charlie Sheen." He goes on to describe her as "an opportunistic pornographic film star and publicity hungry scam artist."

Sheen also alleges that Anderson is merely out to get famous. He states in the suit: "after a consensual encounter with Sheen in the Plaza Hotel on the evening of October 25, 2010, [Anderson] decided this was her chance to become rich and famous."

Is this the Motorola Olympus Tegra 2 smartphone?

A tipster is shopping the above images around the tech blog circuit this morning claiming it's the first of two "iPhone killer" Olympus Tegra 2 smartphones from Motorola. At first glance, it looks like a Motorola Defy. Closer inspection, however, reveals a slightly elongated speaker above the Motorola logo, different volume controls down the right-hand side, and possibly a front-facing camera top-left. We've already seen the words "Motorola" and "Olympus" cohabiting in the official Bluetooth SIG, UPNP Forum, and WiFi Alliance with bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi. What this is, we can only guess. See a second snap after the break.

Opera goes to 11 with an extensions API

Opera may be getting most of its attention these days from its mobile browsers, but that doesn't mean that the company is ignoring its desktop browser. The first beta for Opera 11 introduces a long-missing extensions API in a lightweight profile similar to those that run on WebKit-powered browsers like Chrome and Safari.

Available for Windows and Mac, Opera 11 beta 1 debuts other minor but useful changes. The most noticeable of these is tab stacks, a tab grouping mechanism similar in concept to Firefox's Panorama but completely based in the tab bar. To use it, drag one tab on top of another. The bottom tab will disappear and an arrow will appear to the right of the tab. Click it and the tabs in the stack will slide out to one side. To break up a stack, drag a tab off the stack. Mouse over the stack to see previews for all the tabs in the stack.

Carina Lau suffers 20 hours without rest, due to Donnie Yen?

Carina Lau is recently busy shooting for Pegasus Motion Picture's All Well, Ends Well 2011 (最強囍事). She expressed that for 20 hours she did not rest and implied that it is due to having to rush the scenes with Donnie Yen. Yesterday, Carina, Donnie, Louis Koo, Maggie Lee, Ciwi Lam, Irene Wong and producer Wong Bak Ming attended the movie's press conference. Cecilia Cheung did not attend because she was sick. Carina Lau said: "I was thinking for a long time last night, I can't be suffering like this. I can handle it, but I'm afraid the results won't turn out good. Not enough sleep, lack of oxygen, luckily the dialogue is very funny, so I can laugh."

Asked if it was because of Donnie's several movies scheduled that are overlapping that cause the rush? Carina said: "Should be, definitely rushing him, it's a busy period for him. I am actually not that busy." Donnie explained: "In fact, my schedule is not overlapped, it's just one movie after another. This year it's only 3 movies, not counting the one I'm starting tomorrow." After Carina heard this, she said: "Huh? Another one? Exactlly like that. Really have to calculate the overtime money."

Kim Kardashian Gets "Flirty" With Halle Berry's Ex Gabriel Aubry

Looks like Halle Berry's ex model beau may have found his rebound girl: Kim Kardashian!

On Sunday, Gabriel Aubry attended the L.A. Lakers game with Kardashian, 30, at his side. An onlooker said the pair were "definitely flirty" at the game. See more shots of Kim and Gabriel at the game.

An insider tells UsMagazine.com the duo "met through friends."

Aubry, 34, has kept a low profile since he and Berry, 43, announced their split in late April. He and the Oscar-winning actress spent four years together, and have a daughter Nahla, 2.

Berry has since stepped out with sexy French actor and Dark Tides costar Olivier Martinez -- but has said she and Aubry remain close.

"You realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody," she told Vogue of their split. "We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that's why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us."

As for Kardashian, the reality star has been dating casually (including some NYC dates with John Mayer) since her summertime breakup with Miles Austin.

Google: Chrome OS Still Coming This Year (It Just Might Be In Beta Form)

There’s a lot of hoopla right now that Google’s Chrome OS has been delayed and will miss the stated release date of “this year”. Much of this is based off of the comment that Google CEO Eric Schmidt made last week at Web 2.0 Summit, in which he said that Chrome OS would be available sometime in “the next few months”. So I asked Google today if they were still sticking with the “later this year” availability of Chrome OS — the answer I got? An enthusiastic “yep!”

But just in case, I decided to follow up and ask if that meant an actual shipping product was coming or some test version of the OS? The answer there was much more murky. “We’re not going into details at this point,” is what I was told.

Looking over the code issues in the Chromium OS forums, it looks as if work is still progressing to knock out a lot of late-stage bugs before the OS can be released. Many of these bugs are UI-related, but several seem much more serious, as well. That said, there are a few indications that a “beta” release of the OS may be drawing near. As you can see here, there are only six bugs labeled as “ReleaseBlock-Beta”. And almost all of them are related to the UI of buying a 3G plan from a Chrome OS-powered netbook. There’s also a “ReleaseBlock-Nominate” list, which features 38 bugs.

There are other indications that Google is removing certain features that contain “show-stopping bugs” in order to get a beta out there.

Amazingly, the Xbox 360 is 5 years old

And just like that, the Xbox 360 is five years old.

Five years ago yesterday I was one of about 2,000 people who spent 30 very cold hours inside a giant hangar in the Southern California desert celebrating the launch of this brand new video game console. The so-called "Zero Hour" event was the start of something that has helped change the industry forever.

It's hard to believe that five years has gone by so fast, but sure enough, the Xbox 360 has officially reached the age at which previous generations of video game consoles would be retired in favor of the next round. But the new Xbox was the first to hit the playing field of what quickly became known as the "next-gen" consoles: the Xbox, Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii, the latter two of which would be released in November 2006.

Amazingly, on that frigid Nov. 21, 2005, Sony's flagship console was still the PlayStation 2, and no one had yet even heard the name "Wii."

Along the way, the Xbox 360 has become a major part of Microsoft's stable of products, and has helped spawn (or enhance) some of the biggest and most important exclusive titles and accessories in video game history: the Halo, Gears of War, and Fable franchises, among many others; the Kinect motion-sensitive controller; and of course, the massively popular Xbox Live service.

HIM Records to begin negotiating Selina's compensation

After Selina (Jen Chia Hsuan) was transported back to Taipei for treatment, her parents have been updating their blog with her latest condition nearly everyday. They would write about her progress and struggles, but rarely describe the extent of her injuries in detail. HIM Records provided that information for the first time yesterday.

The company confirmed that she suffered burns to 54% of her body, with 41% being third degree and the remaining being second. The burns were spread out in all areas and her legs were the most severely injured. During the first month of treatment, Selina underwent numerous sessions of wound debridement along with two skin graft operations. She suffered from recurring fevers, and because of her allergies to various medications, her temperature had to be lowered by the traditional method of suppressing an ice pack.

Taylor Swift's Bangs Steal the Show at the AMAs

There's no doubt that Taylor Swift is country music's sweetheart, but we love it when she adds a bit of edge to her darling style.

And boy, did she rev things up!

The 20-year-old star debuted new blunt bangs and straighter locks at the 2010 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California. Swift paired her sleek strands with a studded dress, heavily lined lids, and soft pink lipstick.

We're loving the "Back to December" singer's more grown up look and wouldn't mind if she didn't return to side-swept waves and updos for a while.

Swift won her third American Music Award for Favorite Female Country Artist and the new bangs and straight hairstyle added a bit of edge to her good girl country style.

Swift was coming off of a recent CMAs triumph and her "shocked" awards show reactions got plenty of chuckles across the Web last week with a loving tribute from TheFabLife.com.

Google Launches Plugin That Fuses Microsoft Office With Google Docs

For years, we’ve been hearing that the future of productivity is in the cloud. But while visions of real-time collaboration leave technophiles like me starry-eyed, it’s a prospect that means one thing to millions of people: leaving the familiar turf of Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 so that they can learn their way around yet another application, not to mention some pricey upgrades. But Google wants to let you have it both ways.

Today, Google is launching a new plugin for Microsoft Office called Cloud Connect, which will tie Google Docs directly into the ubiquitous productivity suite, free of charge. Editing a document in Word? It’ll automatically sync to your Google Docs account each time you hit ‘Save’. Want to share a preview of your document without worrying about what file format your coworkers can open? Just send them a link to the Google Docs file. The plugin supports Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and it’s a big deal for Google’s strategy with Docs. The new product is going live for Apps for Business customers today as part of a preview program (sign up here); everyone else will get it soon.

Miley Cyrus Celebrates 18th Birthday with Friends, Family, Cupcakes... and Kisses!

Miley Cyrus celebrated her 18th birthday a couple days early last night.

Jessica Simpson Describes Her 'Teary-Eyed' Engagement

For the first time since her Nov. 11 engagement, Jessica Simpson is opening up about how her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, popped the question.

"I actually had to sit on his knee I was so shocked," she said on CBS's The Early Show, while promoting her new Christmas album. Simpson added that he planned the proposal long ago, had already discussed it with her parents and "was a gentleman about it."

Simpson, 30, only began dating Johnson, 31, in May – but he's already become, as she put it, "the best man in my life. Sorry Dad!"

"The best thing about Eric is that he's just really thoughtful and he keeps me very centered," she said. "And always makes me feel like my feet are on the ground and is probably the most special part of my life."

And he proved his thoughtfulness, she says, by picking out the right engagement ring.

"I've already done the traditional thing so I just wanted to do something that was different," Simpson said of her three-stone ruby ring from Neil Lane. "It was all Eric's idea and he just wanted it to be special."

Simpson said she first saw the ring after Johnson proposed – but didn't try it on right away.

"I said yes and we both definitely were teary-eyed. I didn't even try the ring on until like, five minutes in," she said with a laugh. "I was so shocked, just kind of sat there and cried with him."

In short, she says with a smile, "He did good."

Netflix offers $8 streaming-only option

Netflix has a new streaming-only option, the company announced today.

The video rental company will now offer customers a plan that includes the ability to view movies through its streaming service for $7.99 per month. It was quick to point out that its cheapest plan includes no DVD rentals.

In addition, Netflix has increased its streaming-plus-DVD-by-mail plans by $1 to $8 per month, depending on the option. Netflix's previous $8.99 plan, which offered streaming and one DVD out at a time is now $9.99. The company's two-DVD plan, plus streaming, is now $14.99, up from its previous $13.99 price tag.

Netflix's three-DVD through eight-DVD plans have gone up based on the number of discs available at one time. So, its six DVD plan went up by $6, while its eight DVD plan is now higher by $8.

The company said that it decided to change its plans because "most members want us to deliver unlimited TV episodes and movies two ways: streaming instantly over the Internet plus DVDs by mail." By increasing the price of that dual option, Netflix says that it can "continue to offer the popular plan choice of unlimited TV episodes and movies streaming instantly along with unlimited DVDs."

Apple's Find My iPhone / iPad service now free, doesn't require MobileMe

We'd been sort of hoping Apple would just make MobileMe a completely free service, but it looks like we're taking baby steps instead: Find My iPhone / iPad is now free for iPhone 4, the iPad, and the fourth-gen iPod touch running iOS 4.2.1. As with the paid feature, you'll be able to locate your device on a map, lock it, display a message, play a sound, or remotely wipe your data from any browser or the updated iOS app, which should presumably go live sometime today along with iOS 4.2.1 itself. Like we said, it's a baby step, but hey -- we never say no to free.

Ah Gil autograph session, Ah Sa hides to surprise her

Yesterday Gillian Chung (Ah Gil) appeared in Tuen Mun to hold the autograph session for her new EP Move On... The event organiser arranged a built male model (Alex) to let Ah Gil draw on his arm. As the male model was so nervous his hand was shaking, Ah Gil grabbed on tightly to his hand and said: "You're really shaking!" Reporters teased Ah Gil saying that she has especially good fate with people named 'Alex' (referring to Alex Fong).

Ah Gil also reveals that her new EP is about her thoughts and that the public had always misunderstood her: "People say I was the number 1 black face goddess, but I'm not. When I am unhappy, I already tried my best to smile, but sometimes it's really hard pretend to be happy!"

Also, after the autograph session ended, Ah Gil got into a van to leave, but did not realize that good sister Ah Sa (Charlene Choi) was secretly hiding in the van. Ah Gil was so surprised that she immediately took a photo with Ah Sa and posted on eibo. Ah Sa left a message wishing her new album sells well.
