Mariah Carey Pregnant With Baby Boy?

A bouncing baby boy for pop powerhouse Mariah Carey?

The blogosphere is abuzz with reports that the 41-year-old singer is expecting her first child — a son — with husband Nick Cannon, 30. The notoriously private Carey has remained tight-lipped on rumors that she is harboring an occupied uterus. We now hear, however, that Mariah will confirm her pregnancy sometime in the next two weeks, during the promo tour for her hotly-anticipated holiday album, Merry Christmas II You — dropping Nov. 2 already a smash on Billboard’s new holiday singles chart.

“She’s having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn’t want to say anything is because she is 40, and she’s superstitious,” whispers a snitch. “But she’s going to appear on Oprah and The View, so she’s planning on making the announcement soon.”

The Veronicas PETA Ad

Australia pop dup The Veronicas have joined the ranks of celebs speaking out against the use of fur in a graphic new advertising campaign.

Singing twin sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso flew in to Sydney this week to unveil their gory new anti-animal cruelty advertisement in cooperation with controversial animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

While The Veronicas don’t go naked like many of PETA’s other celebrity centerfolds — ie: Eva Mendes, Kimora Lee Simmons, and fellow Australian Sophie Monk — the ad shocks nevertheless. Smartly-dressed, Jess and Lisa each hold a skinned rabbit with the caption “Here’s the Rest of Your Fur Coat” in a mock fashion shoot.

Teaser Trailer for Justin Bieber's Movie 'Never Say Never' Arrives

The first sneak peek to Justin Bieber's movie "Never Say Never" has been provided in a form of teaser trailer. A courtesy of ET Online, the snippet includes glimpses of footage from the YouTube sensation's childhood and comments from his mentor Usher as well as some female fans.

Said to be more than a biopic, "Never Say Never" is made to "tell the underdog story of where he [Bieber] came from." Jon Chu, who is on board to direct the movie, has previously teased, "There's not going to be acted-out scenes and I can't talk about the rest. It's not your typical concert film and it's not going to be a biopic ... but it is about his life. I think it's more of a documentary."

"[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him," the helmer added. Moreover, Bieber has invited his fans to take part in the film, asking them to submit a home video of themselves singing along to Bieber's "That Should Be Me" or they should "Show us how 'U Smile' " by sending in a photo or video.

"Never Say Never" will be made in 3-D and is slated to be Valentine's Day movie, securing February 11, 2011 slot.

With OS X Lion, It’s No Longer Point & Click, It’s Flick & Swipe

It feels like we’re on the verge of something — “feel” being the keyword. Personal computing has more or less been the same for a few decades now. It’s the mouse, the keyboard, the monitor, and the machine. With things like notebook computers, this has been altered a bit, but it’s the same basic idea. But with the rise of smartphones and now tablets, the whole concept is finally starting evolve. And it looks like OS X Lion will be a key to this transition.

On stage last week during their Back to the Mac event, Apple gave a sneak peak at some of what they have in store for the next version of OS X. Of note, CEO Steve Jobs made it very clear that it has been born out of the concept of “OS X meets iPad”. In other words, OS X meets iOS, Apple’s touch-based operating system.

1000 Windows Phone 7 apps now available, here are my top 5

Something I have experienced and enjoyed on iOS, Android, and Symbian devices over the past couple of years is the initial launch of official app stores. I am experiencing that joy of discovery and thrill of the hunt daily on the couple of Windows Phone 7 devices I am testing out with daily revelations. According to the folks at WPCentral Microsoft has now passed the 1,000 app mark and we are still two weeks away from the US launch of actual smartphones.

I now have just over 30 apps loaded on the HTC Surround and wanted to share with you some of my thoughts on the ones I have been using the most and consider my top 5. This list will obviously change over the next couple of weeks when devices hit the street here, but it will be interesting to see how the number of apps and usage of them change over time.
  • Shazam: I am horrible at remembering songs I hear on the radio and have come to rely on Shazam on my devices. The version for Windows Phone 7 is even more useful to me since it has a Zune button so you can quickly conduct a Marketplace search and get the song from the Zune Marketplace.
  • Netflix: The Netflix app was one of the first I installed and I used it to watch a couple of movies via WiFi and 3G. The performance is quite good and it is handy to be able to watch videos on long commutes.
  • Weatherbug: The Weatherbug app is fairly new and is one of the first we see that has support for a custom live tile. With the Weatherbug app loaded and the option for the tile selected you will see you local weather location, condition, and temperature appear on the tile on your Start screen.
  • Twitter: There is no Twitter integration included in Windows Phone 7, but there are a couple of apps. The official Twitter app is easily the better performing one at this time and works as well as it does on Android. Unfortunately, it does not work in the background so every time you leave and come back or have the display off and turn it on again you will see your Twitter stream refresh.
  • Flowerz: There are several games available now, but one of my favorite is Flowerz. This game is also what has my wife stealing the Samsung Focus from me daily and is one reason she is seriously considering a move to the T-Mobile HTC HD7 device. Flowerz is an enjoyable matching game that lets you earn Xbox LIVE achievements.

Tokyo Film Fest Suppressed By China – Vivian Hsu in Tears

Vivian Hsu Ruo Xuan cried! Because of Taiwan’s representing film group, is suppressed by China at Tokyo’s Film Fest, Taiwan’s artists were completely not able to step on the red carpet in their prepared outfits, nor to step on stage, given unequal treatment, Vivian couldn’t help the sadness swelling up. The news director of the film bureau returned to Taiwan with the team in the evening, talking about the suppression they went through, talking of Taiwan’s film welcomed by the Japanese, chokingly couldn’t hold back his upset emotions.

News bureau of film director Frank Chen: “Taiwan film is great! Japanese Ah! Japanese really likes us Taiwan. (Jia You! Jia You!) Once I think of this, I’m a little choked! Sorry! I shouldn’t really behave so impolitely.”

Speaking of Taiwanese film shining internationally, film bureau director Frank Chen was choked into tears, artists traveling along to Tokyo were also in verge of tears; because of suppression by China at the film festival. Director Li Gang: “A one China issue is of course a bigger problem than a film!”

Director Li Gang didn’t even finish his sentence, Vivian on the side couldn’t hold back and cried, using her hands to wipe tears. Ethan Ruan quickly patted Vivian on the shoulders to comfort her, and showed eye contact with crew members to get tissue. With Vivian in an emotional state, she turned around to cover her emotions.

Dell Venue Pro to spawn Android version; WP7 presales tip Nov 8 release

Dell’s Venue Pro will apparently be bringing its QWERTY sliding action to Android, with the company apparently planning a second version of the 4.1-inch touchscreen smartphone running Google’s mobile OS. That’s the word from PC World, which has also flagged up presales of the existing Windows Phone 7 Venue Pro kicking off at Amazon UK.

Amazon aren’t the only ones, either. Expansys also has the Venue Pro listed for £499.99, while Clove undercuts them both at a mere £440.63. All three retailers list initial availability as November 8 2010.

The Dell Venue Pro, like other Windows Phone 7 devices, has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM and 1GB ROM, along with 8GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera and WiFi b/g/n. The display is a 4.1-inch WVGA OLED panel with a Gorilla Glass screen.

Microsoft Not So Keen On HD Re-Releases For The Xbox 360

From Ico to God of War to Sly to Beyond Good & Evil, the PlayStation 3 is currently being inundated by high definition ports of classic PS2 games. The Xbox 360? Notsomuch.

"I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea," Microsoft Game Studios Corporate Vice President Phil Spencer told IGN. "I'm going to think about it from the customer's perspective, and are we really delivering something of value to the customer at a price that they want?"

"We obviously have a lot of new things going on, so the thought of re-doing a bunch of things is probably difficult to just weave into the overall portfolio. If you can provide real value to the customer, there could be possibilities for that, but I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it."

Really? We wish you would. Sega's offerings of games like Crazy Taxi are OK, but some bigger, boxed games from Microsoft's own studios would be better. A HD remake of Halo 1 - complete with Xbox Live multiplayer - is an obvious wish, but shiny versions of Project Gotham Racing 2 and Fable would also be great, thanks!

AKB48's "Beginner" ships 1 million copies for release

Sports Hochi reports that AKB48's 18th single, "Beginner," will have an initial shipment of 1.03 million copies for its release on October 27. Although not likely, this gives it the opportunity to sell one million copies in its first week, which has not happened since Hikaru Utada's 1999 hit "Addicted To You."

This is a record initial shipment for AKB48. In addition to the group's expanding popularity, "Beginner" has also been attracting a lot of attention because of its controversial music video. Directed by Tetsuya Nakashima ("Kokuhaku", "Kamikaze Girls"), the video had to be edited for television due to its theme of violence. As a result, it was recently decided that the unedited version will only be available through the mobile download service Recochoku.

AKB48's sales have been very strong so far this year. Their last two singles consecutively sold more than half a million copies in the first week, making them only the third female artist to achieve that (the other two are Hikaru Utada and Ayumi Hamasaki).

Early sales indicators are positive. According to the PR office of music store Tower Records, reservations for "Beginner" surpassed AKB48's previous single "Heavy Rotation," even though the reservation period this time was shorter.

As all you Twi-hards are aware, the vamps have just begun work on a much sexier Breaking Dawn in Baton Rouge, La., and while most of the cast has been cavorting around town, Robert Pattinson (aside from a bike buying trip) and Kristen Stewart have been trying to fly totally under the radar.

Kris and Rob were apparently spotted popping into Play N Trade Video Games in Prairieville, La., over the weekend. So just what are they up to?

According to eyewitnesses at Play N Trade, Rob and Kristen "ran in and ran out" of the gaming store, swooping up the game Fallout: New Vegas.

Isla Fisher shows off her post-baby curves in a little red dress at Burke And Hare premiere

Isla Fisher made a triumphant return to the spotlight in a little red dress tonight as she made her first public appearance since becoming a second time mother.

The Australian-raised actress, 34, showed off her post-baby curves in a figure-hugging Dolce & Gabbana lace mini as she attended the London premiere of her new film Burke And Hare.

The 34-year-old, who married comedian Sacha Baron Cohen in March, joined co-stars Simon Pegg, Andy Serkin and Jessica Hynes at the Chelsea screening of the British black comedy.

Although she rapidly slimmed down after the birth of her first child Olive three years ago, Isla appears to be embracing her curves this time round as she displayed her ample cleavage in the tight dress.

The Truth: Why iPhone Users Will Ditch AT&T and Run to Verizon

Last week we saw the carriers’ growth numbers for Q3 2010, and AT&T completely blew away Verizon with new subscribers. Despite mass availability of Android phones, Verizon only added 1 million subscribers in Q3, its lowest total in years. AT&T added 2.6 million.

It’s now completely clear why Verizon has finally capitulated and cozied up with Apple—even with tons of Android models, Verizon simply can’t compete with AT&T in terms of new subscriber growth.

Right now the question du jour among iPhone aficionados is how many net subscribers will leave AT&T and switch to Verizon once the iPhone becomes a reality in January 2011. That number is going to be a lot larger than people think for a series of compounding reasons.

First off, let’s establish that iPhone service on AT&T has not improved. Dropped calls are one issue. But so are dead connections, intermittent signal, and my personal favorite—the inability to use the phone for voice or data even when you have “full signal”.

There is a reason why these issues are endemic to iPhones on AT&T, but don’t affect either Android smartphones on Verizon, or iPhones on other GSM carriers worldwide. And it always intrigues me that it’s hardly ever mentioned by either analysts, the media, or by Apple and AT&T themselves.

Palm Pre 2 and webOS 2.0 showcased in new commercial

It's hard to tell if the ad embedded after the break is purely official, but it definitely reeks of HP. In a good way, that is. Uploaded by the same fellow that gave us our first sneak peek at webOS 2.0, this "Sizzle" ad shows 34 solid seconds of Palm Pre 2 action, complete with a glimpse at Angry Birds, Facebook and all sorts of new 2.0 features. We're aren't totally digging the tunes, but otherwise, it looks to be rather attractive -- way better than the first wave of original Pre ads, that's for sure.

Hey, hey -- looks like the ad's now embedded on Palm's website. Kudos!

'Hangover' Cast Sinks Mel Gibson's Career for Good

We all know Mel Gibson is "furious" with producers of 'The Hangover 2' for canning him after the cool kids in the cast, particularly Zach Galifianakis, objected and essentially vetoed his participation. But what is making Mel so mad these days is that he knows the lighthearted cameo was going to be his opening salvo at a legitimate comeback.

An industry insider tells me that Mel "desperately wanted" the role, which he believed would have been a scene-stealer. "It was the perfect part for Mel," my source adds. "Guaranteed to be a blockbuster," even with his sullied name attached.

"Mel saw this role that same way Tom Cruise did with 'Tropic Thunder.' Now it's ruined."

What must be particularly goading to Mel is that he lost the part to Liam Neeson because of a cast and crew revolt. Director Todd Phillips confirmed this on Thursday, saying his casting of Mel "did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."

In a statement on Friday, Neeson's spokesman, who also reportedly represents Gibson, confirmed this belief by nudging that Neeson would be joining the actors on the set "pending clearance of cast and crew background check."

"Now that these guys have stood up and said no to working with Mel, anyone that stays silent will look like a coward," one executive tells me. "These are not huge stars. Yes, Bradley Cooper is doing well, but he's no Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Zach, someone with limited Hollywood power, has opened the floodgates. By making a stand, he has made it impossible for anyone else not to. Making what small chance Mel had of achieving a comeback impossible."

Silent to more, Zach's rep has just told NBC News that he has "no say in who is hired or fired for any roles in the film" and that he was not consulted on the matter.

Nintendo: Apple can 'hurt us' more than Microsoft

Nintendo believes Apple is a bigger threat to its business than Microsoft, the company's president said in an interview last week.

"Do I think that in the near term [Apple] can hurt us more than Microsoft?" Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime said to Forbes in an the interview. "Absolutely."

But that doesn't mean Nintendo thinks Apple can eventually beat it. Fils-Aime told Forbes that Apple is catering to a "casual" audience that craves "distraction," while Nintendo is providing a more well-rounded gaming experience that "consumes" audiences.

Whether or not that's true is up for debate. But even with that brave face, Fils-Aime and his company have every reason to worry about Apple.

SNSD makes history on weekly Oricon chart

SNSD has made history on Oricon as the first foreign girl group to make it in the ‘top 3 singles’ ranking since 1980. Having released the Japanese version of “Gee” only 20 days ago, it’s quite an achievement for the single to land the weekly #2 spot on Japan’s most famous music chart. Their first single “Genie” previously ranked 4th on the list.

Oricon’s website posted a message stating, “SNSD, the first Asian girl group to have their single land in the top 3.”

“Gee” is also currently 1st on iTunes Japan, on Japanese music site Musico, and on mobile site recochoku. The music video is also ranking 1st on a number of charts.

In further news, SNSD will be performing their new single “Hoot” on this week’s Music Bank.

Details Emerge on Katy Perry’s Wedding Look

From light-up gowns to carousel dresses to Muppet-print minis, Katy Perry has run the gamut of wacky styles — but for her wedding in India this weekend to Russell Brand, the pop star went for French elegance in the form of an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. The Paris-based designer is known for his utterly feminine styles, loved by stars from Halle Berry (who famously wore his peekaboo gown to accept her Oscar) to Perry pal Rihanna. To top off her look, Perry had a wardrobe of custom Casadei shoes to choose from — including one-of-a-kind $7,000 beaded satin heels for the ceremony and sparkling flat sandals for late-night dancing ease.

Microsoft says it's 'doubling down' on PC games

Well, it looks like the forthcoming launch of Microsoft's browser-based Games for Windows Marketplace could just be the beginning of a broader PC gaming push from the company. Speaking with Kotaku, Microsoft's Peter Orullian, group product manager for Windows PC and Mobile, said rather boldly that PC games "is a place where we are doubling down." Exactly what that means beyond the new Games for Windows Marketplace isn't clear, but Orullian did mention that Microsoft has a "healthy list of features we're going to start bringing out once the store launches" in response to a question about further integrating PC and Xbox 360 gaming (something the company is also exploring with the revised Xbox.com).

No custom ringtones for Windows Phone 7? (video)

We just sat through an eight minute long video of someone at Pocketnow sampling every ringtone on his HTC Surround. Why did we do this? Just wanted to see if we could stand it; suffice it to say, we never want to hear a ringtone again. Perhaps more importantly, our man points out that Microsoft seems to have left the ability to add your own custom ringtones out of Windows Phone 7 altogether. The Surround itself has a couple recognizable fan favorites that we recognize from AT&T and HTC phones past, so it looks like manufacturers and carriers will be able to bring their own to the table, but for the end user, it looks like you won't be able to roll your own -- at least for the time being. And now we're going to go put our phones on vibrate.

Selina burned while filming, since returning from Shanghai to Taiwan on a special flight the night before, yesterday performed a 5 hour debridement surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Ren’s father Ren Ming Ting says, his daughter is actually more optimistic and courageous than they had thought.

Since 9:00am morning Selina was operated to remove the damaged skin tissues, than placed with the artificial until completion at 2:00pm in the afternoon, the surgery was successful, she regained consciousness by 3:00pm in the afternoon, Ren Ba says; “Xuan Xuan’s eyes were in tears, mood was a bit emotional, it hurts, but she can bear it, really makes people feel dismayed.” Because of the anesthesia, Selina was sleeping most of the time.

In fact Ren Ba was busy all night, early yesterday morning he went to keep watch at the hospital. He wrote on the site of his feelings: “After 3 days of painful suffering, seeing my precious’s whole body wrapped in gauze brave and strong. Ren Ma has also brought along past days of collection of all friends’ care and warmth to her. Next days to come, it’s hard to even think about it. But precious you’re not alone. Love you!”

ABC cancels 'The Whole Truth'

Despite buzz that ABC was giving The Whole Truth one more week to prove itself, the network has gone and canceled the low-rated legal drama. The news was confirmed on Twitter by co-executive producer KristieAnne Reed.

“ABC gave us the word,” she tweeted. “We will only make 13 episodes of The Whole Truth.”

It’s unclear how many of Truth‘s remaining unaired episodes will see the light of day; an original episode is still scheduled to air on Wednesday.

Earlier today, ABC extended full-season orders to fellow rookies No Ordinary Family and Better With You.

BlackBerry PlayBook demoed live at Adobe MAX

Following news that RIM made an initial build of its QNX-based OS simulator available for Windows and Mac, company Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis demoed RIM’s tablet live for the first time this morning at the Adobe MAX show. When RIM announced its upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook tablet last month, the company chose not to demo the device (because it didn’t have any working prototypes on hand) and caught a good amount of criticism as a result. Following the ordeal, we imagine prepping a live demo became a priority and today, RIM can finally check that milestone off its list. Hit the break for a video of the PlayBook being demoed on the big screen at Adobe MAX and let us know what you think.

Diablo III Beta Testing: Yes, Finally, For Real, at BlizzCon

Blizzcon attendees were given some undeniably exciting news: from amongst them, 1,000 would be chosen to receive Beta Keys to Diablo 3. Those of you like me who’ve been waiting to hear that news for years and years (and years,) oh my goodness the excitement burns in the heart. Diablo 2 was (and yes, still is) played by thousands, being one of the games to pave the way for such games as World of Warcraft, a game that’s estimated to hold over 60% of the market share for MMORPG games in the world.

The news of this excellent pre-cursor to the actual release of the game came amidst Tenacious D performing the closing act at BlizzCon 2010. Also released during the convention was the final character class: the Deamon Hunter. Sassy! Powerful! Wonderful! Watch the Demon Hunter video below courtesy of IGN. *Also, photo above courtesy of OCRegister – this image depicts hundreds of gamers at BlizzCon testing various games.

Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac moves to public beta

That didn't take long, did it? The promised beta of Windows Phone 7's Mac-friendly companion app is now available, bringing basic media sync capability -- notably with iTunes and iPhoto integration -- to that shiny new Microsoft-powered phone of yours. In fact, Microsoft delivered the client so fast that it beat every single American WP7 device to market -- so AT&T and T-Mobile folks, you can rest easy knowing that you'll be Mac-compatible from day one. Notably, the so-called Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac lacks any Zune functionality; Microsoft has never written a true Zune client for Mac, unfortunately, but at least this is a critical first step that makes these things usable for Mac owners that aren't tied to the iPhone. Let us know how the app treats you in comments, alright?

Adobe confirms Flash Player 10.1 is coming to BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 and more

We've already known that Adobe would be bringing Flash Player 10.1 to Windows Phone 7, but the company has just now made that fully official at its currently-happening MAX conference (alongside its Air 2.5 announcement), and it's also confirmed exactly which other mobile platforms the plug-in will be headed to. That includes WebOS 2.0, which we've already seen first hand, along with BlackBerry OS, Symbian, MeeGo and, last but not least, the LiMo platform -- those will all of course join Android 2.2, which already supports the plug-in. Unfortunately, there's still no timeline for a release on each platform, with Adobe only saying that that Flash 10.1 is "expected" to hit each mobile OS. Head on for the relevant snippet from Adobe's press release.

Flash Player 10.1

Already one of the top free apps on Android Market, with more than 50,000 users giving it a 4.5-out-of-5 star rating, Flash Player 10.1 brings rich Flash based content to mobile devices inside the browser. The runtime is now certified on close to a dozen Android devices and will become available on dozens more over the coming weeks and months. Adobe also announced that Flash Player 10.1 was downloaded more than 2 million times from Android Market. In addition to Android Market, the runtime is distributed directly by device manufacturers and operators via pre-installs and operating system upgrades. Flash Player 10.1 is available on Android and Google TV today, with BlackBerry platform, HP webOS 2.0, future versions of Windows® Phone, LiMo, MeeGo, and Symbian OS also expected to support Flash Player 10.1. For a list of devices supported today, visit Adobe Flash Player 10.1 certified devices.

Taylor Swift & Jake Gyllenhaal Share a 'Friendly' Brunch in Brooklyn

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal spent the weekend laughing, eating and strolling together in New York City.

First, the two attended the broadcast of Saturday Night Live in Manhattan, which was hosted by Swift's good friend, Emma Stone.

"They showed up together," a source tells PEOPLE. "They walked around together backstage, but they were careful not to be seen too close. It was hard to tell if they were together, but everyone was shocked that she brought him."

On Sunday, Swift, 20 and Gyllenhaal, 29, brunched with another couple in Brooklyn and, says an onlooker, looked "friendly." They were also spotted together strolling around Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood.

While reps for the two stars had no comment about their relationship, the Prince of Persia star might be just Swift's type.

Asked what she looks for in a man, the singer, who will release her new album Speak Now on Tuesday, recently told PEOPLE, "Right now the most attractive quality in a guy is a sense of adventure and romance. I'd love to meet someone who would do thoughtful things throughout the relationship to remind me that he was listening to me, knows me and wants to surprise me."

What else? "Someone who does little things, just sweet little gestures," she says, "that's what I'd wish for in a guy."

And, says Swift, she's ready to put herself out there to find the right one.

"I love going on dates and getting to know people," the singer also says. "For me, love is something I occasionally make an exception for if it feels right. I don't search it out. I just think that if I'm supposed to meet someone, I will."

Google reach 100,000 apps in Android Market

Congratulations, Android fans — you now have a whopping 100,000 apps to choose from in the Android Market. The 100k milestone means Google is gaining ground on Apple’s App Store, which is now approaching 300,000 apps. Of course sheer volume isn’t the whole story when it comes to mobile app markets, and many would agree that Android and iOS share roughly the same garbage-to-gold ratio when it comes to available apps. Google has yet to formally announce this milestone through standard channels, though the company has confirmed the accomplishment via its AndroidDev Twitter account.

Big Bang to return in a few weeks?

Big Bang fans have patiently waited for the boys to return to the Korean music scene and it now seems they don’t have to wait long.

Big Bang leader G-Dragon recently made an appearance on tvN E News while filming for a G-Market CF and he shared some thoughts about their much anticipated comeback.

When asked about when Big Bang’s upcoming album was going to be released, G-Dragon replied, “We haven’t met with the fans for so long, it’s been around 2 years now. Right now, the album is around 80% done and you might be able to find us around the middle of November. Please patiently wait for us.”

Revealed: The last pictures of John Lennon before he was killed have emerged

These pictures are the last ever taken of John Lennon before he was murdered.

Some of them have never seen before, showing the Beatle during his last ever interview on December 6, 1980 - two days before he was shot dead by a crazed fan.

He is seen alongside wife Yoko Ono and various others including Radio One disc jockey Andy Peebles who was interviewing him at the time at the Hit Factory studio.

The photos were among thousands collected by a British music historian who is now selling the negatives with the copyright at auction.

The pictures show Lennon relaxed and happy wearing a round-neck blue jumper and distinctive glasses with blue tinted lenses.

Yoko has her black hair pulled back and is wearing a fur-style coat. The pair are pictured sitting at a table with a microphone attached.

Lea Michele’s Still A Diva

The shimmering scandal over a randy centerfold on the pages of the November issue of GQ is the least of Glee’s problems.

Who cares about a public relations scandal when you’re bracing for the arrival of Hurricane Lea!

Star Magazine snoops claim doe-eyed songstress Lea Michele is still terrorizing the cast and crew of television’s most-watched musical-comedy by behaving like a total heifer (or a petulant reality star, take your pick…) when the cameras aren’t rolling. Lea, who has been accused of demanding special treatment from Glee producers, is said to be upset that her character — the prim and preppy Rachel Berry — hasn’t been given a crack at many solo performances since the show debuted its second season last month.

“In the beginning, she was the biggest star. But some of the biggest episodes have taken attention away from her…She thinks that because she has a Broadway background, this show was made for her,” whispers one Star snitch. “It’s not easy being around Lea on set. She has put several people’s backs up and it’s showing no sign of improving.”

Watch a MacBook Air Get Blown Up With Dynamite

What to do with your aging MacBook Air now that Apple's introduced two shiny new models? Blow it up, of course. Blow it up with two sticks of M-1000 dynamite.

Since there were hipsters involved, I'm assuming the whole project was conceived somehow ironically. But ultimately they're right; there's something poetic about a MacBook Air becoming just plain old air.

Samsung to unveil new Android device November 8th

Got a thing for Samsung and Android? Samsung has just sent out a media blast announcing that they will be unveiling “a new Android device.” The invitation not-so-cryptically has TouchWiz icons and a stock-ticker image… our guess would be we’re going to see the Continuum Galaxy S handset with the second, AMOLED, “ticker” display. Any other conspiracy theories?

Playboy Wants Oksana Grigorieva for Nude Pictorial

Oksana Grigorieva may not need Mel Gibson's money to pay her legal fees if Hugh Hefner get his way.

According to TMZ, Playboy has reportedly offered Grigorieva $75,000 to pose for the magazine -- even dangling the cover as bait to get Oksana to accept.

There has been no word on whether Gibson's ex, who is currently fighting for custody of their daughter Lucia, will actually strip for the magazine.

Oksana recently spoke out for the first time about their relationship, after a string of leaked conversations between the two hit the Internet this summer and accusations of domestic violence ensued.

"I thought he would kill me," she said. "I needed to document his threats."

"I'm not angry at him," she added. "For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well. He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he's done."

RIM announces PlayBook simulator and SDK for BlackBerry Tablet OS

We know you're all partyin' up a storm at the Adobe MAX conference, but just in case one of you missed it, RIM's announced the availability of the Adobe AIR SDK for BlackBerry Tablet OS -- not to mention a little something called the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator. Needless to say (but we'll say it anyways), we're more than anxious to get our hands on the latter. Unfortunately, it requires Adobe AIR 2.5 to run, while the latest release RIM's site is offering is 2.0.2. Buzzkill, right? That said, we suggest you keep an eye on the source link if you're looking to get in on the action yourself.

Ubuntu 10.10's multitouch Unity UI demoed on Dell, makes multitasking look easy (video)

Want to see how multitouch works in Maverick Meerkat's Unity UI, but don't have a convertible tablet PC? You're in luck today, as Ubuntu Developers put together a handy-dandy video of the Ubuntu 10.10 interface running on their very own Dell Latitude XT2's dual-digitizer touchscreen. As you'd expect, the $2,400 convertible does a bang-up job as a tablet PC, playing Flash video and OpenGL games with ease, but the uTouch gestures appear to contribute to the overall experience by making window management a relative breeze. But in the immortal words of LeVar Burton, you don't have to take our word for it -- see for yourself right after the break, while we pray for Canonical to reconsider its stance on a dedicated tablet version of Ubuntu.
