Samsung Galaxy Tab stars in leaked slide, T-Mobile version to cost $399?

If what we're looking at is really and truly a legitimate T-Mobile slide, then we've got practically the last part of the Galaxy Tab puzzle -- that ever-elusive price point -- as it states the slate will charm your wallet out of $399. That'd be a bit of a disappointment if true, as that's the most we were told to expect and twice the Galaxy S's price despite lacking telephone functionality. Still, it's the first legitimately impressive Android tablet, and being on the bleeding edge isn't cheap. We just wonder if Sammy can truly sell ten million on two-year contracts -- or worse, going head to head at an unsubsidized $649 with the iPad 3G. Say it ain't so, Sammy.

Two HyunAs on 4minute’s Japanese jacket cover?

On 4minute’s album jacket for their third Japanese single “FIRST” and “DREAMS COME TRUE“, something seems to be a bit off.

In the photo, there seems to be two HyunAs: the girl in the middle and the one on the far left both look exactly like HyunA.

Maknae Sohyun seems to be missing from the photo. It may be the photoshopping’s fault but none of them look anything like Sohyun.

The photo was released about a week ago, but fans have realized the photo’s flaw recently.

What do you guys think?

Limera1n jailbreaks the iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.1, angers dev community (video)

Looking for a jailbreak for your iPod touch or iPhone running iOS 4.1? Your chariot is named limera1n -- assuming you're willing to risk your device on a software developer showdown. The infamous Geohot just upstaged the iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team by releasing a reportedly buggy beta exploit of his own, which you can find at our download link immediately below. It only works on Windows at the moment, hacks only official releases and iPhone 3GS isn't supported right now, and it claims to be an unpatchable, untethered release for those of you who appreciate what those terms mean.

As you can imagine, rival developers aren't terribly happy that Geohot's back in the limelight. MuscleNerd (of the iPhone Dev Team) claims that limera1n will re-lock iPhones that were unlocked by his team's ultrasn0w software, and recommends you skip limera1n, but the main reason the iOS hacking community is angry at Geohot is because if more than one exploit is released simultaneously, Apple can fix them both in one fell swoop. By releasing first, Geohot has allegedly forced other teams to decide between the good of iPhone users over the short term (by releasing a different, more stable exploit) or over the long term (by saving their exploit for future use) and so far it looks like both teams have chosen to prolong the fight -- the iPhone Dev Team is asking folks to withhold its Shatter exploit, and Chronic Dev Team says it will modify its greenpois0n jailbreak to use Geohot's hack instead. What a weird, wild world we live in.

Jay Chou flies to Hollywood; fights for right to sing theme for The Green Hornet

The "Double J Relationship" is part of history now. Jay Chou is now busy with his career; yesterday he flew to Hollywood to participate in postproduction work for "The Green Hornet". According to reports he will be singing the theme song to the movie. He just held 8 nights in Hong Kong, he took time out to meet with his buddy Shawn Yue, the two both urged for a sequel to "Initial D". He smiled saying: "I hope we can film it the year after, lets film it before we get old."

Yesterday Jay Chou flew to America for work. According to reports since the beginning of the filming of "The Green Hornet", he has been fighting for the right to sing the theme song for the movie "The Green Hornet". He's planning to invite the director of "The Green Hornet" Michel Gondry to film the MV for the theme song he'll sing. At last it has been decided, to this Jay admitted: "I wanted to sing it from the start, it'll be best if it's the global version, but if it's the Asia version that's good too."

World-Changing Awesome Aside, How Will The Self-Driving Google Car Make Money?

Google made a stunning revelation this morning: the existence of a secret self-driving car project. Even more amazing: it has been in testing for months, on actual roads across California, and things seem to be running smoothly. Fans of Total Recall, Minority Report, and Knight Rider are hyperventilating at the prospects. And while the technology is likely still a long way from being widely implemented (The New York Times piece on it suggests eight years), there is one big question: why?

Google’s answer seems to be a “betterment of society” one. “We’ve always been optimistic about technology’s ability to advance society, which is why we have pushed so hard to improve the capabilities of self-driving cars beyond where they are today,” Google engineer Sebastian Thrun, who spearheaded the project (and also runs Stanford’s AI Labs, and co-invented Street View), writes today.

That’s great. But Google is still a public company in the business of making money for its shareholders. So one can’t help but wonder what, if any, money-making prospects there are here?

Fahrenheit goes experimental with their latest album, Super Hot

Fahrenheit has been prolific since their formation in 2005. Aaron Yan, Wu Chun, Calvin Chen and Jiro Wang have made it to the silver screen and variety shows. They may be very different individuals but as a band, they are as tight as their mentors, pop girl group S.H.E.

There's Yan the pretty boy, Wu the foodie, Chen the optimist and Wang the hard worker. And their latest album, Super Hot, showcases their individual talents as well as their talent as a band. According to Wu, album producer Bing Wang used Super Hot's music videos to show off Fahrenheit's full repertoire of dance moves.

Golden Melody Award winners Ah Di Zai helped the Taiwanese boy band in producing the album and producer Chen Wei wrote the lyrics. The A-list contributions will definitely boost the album's marketability.Wang thinks the album is groundbreaking as it is experimental, including the unconventional way the music video was shot.

Windows Phone 7 ads reveal Samsung Focus for AT&T, November 8th date and shiny new website

We'd heard November 8th was AT&T's Windows Phone 7 launch date, but this makes it real -- Microsoft advertisements on Microsoft's page, pointing to a brand-new Windows Phone website. And unless we're completely mistaken, the Samsung Cetus finally has a name -- it'll be called the Focus when it comes to AT&T on the specified date. We're not seeing any other spilled beans at Microsoft's new launch page, but we're digging the upbeat tune -- let us know if you find anything intriguing buried in the Silverlight source code on that "new phones" page, will you?

'Social Network' and 'Life As We Know It' battle for first place at box office

No film will cross $20 million again this weekend but it’s sure that the one that gets closest will win first place. Whether it will be last weekend’s first place winner The Social Network or this frame’s new romantic comedy Life As We Know It is still undetermined. Social Network earned an estimated $4.9 million yesterday while the Katherine Heigl- Josh Duhamel starrer grossed a bit over $5 million on Friday.

In third place is another of this weekend’s new releases, Secretariat. The Diane Lane-starrer earned an estimated $4 million for its opening day. Spots four and five are likely to belong to kid flick Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole which grossed under $2 million on Friday and Wes Craven’s new flick, the 3-D horror film My Soul to Take, which grossed an estimated $2.7 million for the day. The order of these two films has yet to be determined. In fact, the top five are all very much in flux. Saturday will be crucial in determining the winner.

Check back tomorrow for complete results.

Miley Cyrus' new music video blasted by Parents Television Council

The president of the Parents Television Council has condemned the sexualized nature of Miley Cyrus’ latest music video for single “Who Owns My Heart,” according to a report by MTV. In the sultry video, Miley wakes up blindfolded in bed before she heads out to a dance club. “It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one,” the president of the organization, Tim Winter, said. “It sends messages to her fanbase that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fanbase so rapidly.”

Cyrus’ representatives have not returned emails seeking comment.

The Parents Television Council regularly objects to television content it feels may damage children. Recently, the organization went after CBS’ $#*! My Dad Says, Adam Lambert’s performance at last year’s American Music Awards, and Gossip Girl‘s threesome storyline.
