Listen New Miley Cyrus Single "Giving You Up"

Originally meant to be included on the 2008 album "Giving You Up," Miley Cyrus has released a new single online.

It is not confirmed if the title is referring to the singer's pants, or at least her wholesome image, which she's intent on leaving behind.

One thing is certain, however: Miley isn't giving Liam Hemsworth up. Multiple sources confirm that these two are back together, while E! News even claims they are living in Cyrus' Malibu home.

HTC’s Android tablet to use Tegra 2 and cost $790?

HTC keep protesting that they’re not working on a tablet, and yet the leaks and rumors still keep coming. Today’s – courtesy of DigiTimes‘ shady sources – claims Pegatron will be manufacturing the tablet for HTC, and even has a rundown of specs: most notably NVIDIA’s second-gen Tegra 2 chipset and a 32GB SSD.

The screen is tipped at 1280 x 720 resolution, complete with the expected multitouch support, while there’s also apparently 2GB of RAM and the expected wireless options: WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS for a start. As well as the Android OS there’d be Chrome web-app support and access to the Android Market. Some form of 3G has also been mentioned in the past – Verizon as a potential carrier partner too – and given HTC has already built relationships with carriers that would certainly make sense.

It would also open the door to carrier subsidies, and given the rumor-mongers are talking about a NT$25,000 ($789.75) sticker price that’s probably a good thing. Earlier this month a Q1 2011 launch date was suggested, which would imply that HTC were looking to use Android 3.0 Gingerbread.

Lindsay Lohan's Movie Producer: She Can Overcome Her Disease

The producer of Lindsay Lohan's next movie project, Inferno, is taking issue with a report that he and his co-producer are "beyond irritable" with the actress's setback regarding her drug test, though he is adapting a "wait-and-see" attitude regarding how the film will progress.

But he does stand behind his star.

"The only producers in question would be Jordan Gertner or myself, and we are not expressing irritation, nor ' beyond irritated' to anyone – that is not to say we would not be upset over a breach of the court by Lindsay that has affected her personally, or the potential production schedule or location of the production significantly," producer Chris Hanley tells PEOPLE.

He added, "We are way not happy to not be making this movie this year as planned, and if the ability to shoot in a film incentive program state is not available due to travel limitation placed on Lindsay, that would be a concern, but that cannot be addressed until it is known."

As for the movie, which is a biopic about the victimized porn star Linda Lovelace, Hanley also said, "We do believe that Lindsay's talent does weigh very heavily in this matter. Addictive personality disorder issues are pervasive in the film industry. I have worked with Robert Downey and others on movies I have made, and, frankly, talent and passion for a project matter the most to me."

Bruno Mars Arrested For Drug Possession

Crooner Bruno Mars was arrested for possession of narcotics after a concert in Las Vegas early Sunday, The Las Vegas Review-Journal has learned.

The “Just the Way You Are” singer — who vocals also appeared on the hook to B.o.B’s summer smash “Nothing on You” — was taken into custody at approximately 2:40 AM by security in a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel after officials discovered the star in possession of a large quantity of an unidentifed narcotic.

The arrest comes just one week after Mars — real name Peter Hernandez — made his performance debut at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Russell Brand Banned From America? Brand Visa In Danger After Paparazzi-Fueled Arrest

Russell Brand’s alleged fight with photographers broke out because he was “protecting” fiancee Katy Perry, but will the ultimate act of chivalry get the British-born funnyman banned from the United States altogether?

Brand, 35, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday afternoon after a scuffle broke out between the comedian and a photographer. Russ was heading towards the security barriers at the Delta Departures terminal with Katy in two when he appeared to become irate with one of the snappers. Video footage of the incident seemed to show the long-haired star, who was dressed in his trademark skinny jeans and leather jacket, shoving a photographer out of the way after the paparazzi surrounded the engaged couple. The photographer was not injured, but made a citizen’s arrest before airport police stepped in. Russell was then charged with suspicion of battery.

Perry insists Brand was protecting her from slimey snappers who were trying to take an inappropriate photo of her. The singer, 25, posted a message on her Twitter page following Friday’s melee, claiming the shutterbugs had been trying to take pictures up her skirt.

Google Is Making Your Account Vastly More Secure With Two-Step Authentication

“Two-factor authentication” may be the least sexy-sounding feature I’ve ever written about. But if you’ve ever worried about being phished or having your password hacked, it could be your best friend — because it makes it much, much harder for a hacker to break into your account. Today, Google is announcing that it’s bringing the security feature to its millions of users: the feature will be rolling out first for Google Apps Premiere, Education, and Government edition customers, with plans to bring it to all Google users (even those who aren’t using its Apps suite) in the next few months.

So what exactly is two-factor authentication? Most of the login systems you’ve probably used are only ‘one-factor’ — you enter one password and you’re in, but if that password gets compromised, you’re toast. More secure systems are common in large businesses, and often require both a password and a physical card or dongle to login — these are called ‘two-factor’ systems, because they require both your password and another key, and are far more secure because a hacker probably isn’t going to have that physical token. Unfortunately these security systems are generally quite expensive. But Google is bringing one to the masses.

Samsung Galaxy Tab gets £680 Amazon UK price: due November 1

Amazon UK has leapt into the Samsung Galaxy Tab pricing ring, slapping a £679.99 unlocked and SIM-free tag onto the 7-inch Android slate, and claiming it will begin shipping on November 1st 2010. That makes it more expensive than the previous UK price we’ve seen for the Galaxy Tab, and it’s worth noting that Amazon are even including a discount in that: they reckon the Froyo tablet’s RRP is actually £799.99.

That’s definitely on the high end when you consider the pricing for Apple’s iPad, and right now it’s unclear where these figures are coming from. Samsung is yet to confirm its own figures, instead concentrating on announcing carrier partners for subsidized versions of the Galaxy Tab in the US and Europe.

Facebook Phone to Use Android?

Facebook's spokespeople may've already denied they're working on a Facebook phone, but the rumors keep on rolling—particularly about the two employees at the heart of the story (ex-Firefox man Joe Hewitt, and ex-Chrome OS chappy Matthew Papakipos).

Silicon Alley Insider mined Joe Hewitt's Twitter account yesterday, where they discovered someone who really doesn't like Android or the iPhone. A sample tweet from his feed is "Android tools are horrendous, OS is hideous, but the absence of big brother telling me what to do gives it a slight edge."

This comes from the man who up until last year was working on Facebook's web and native apps for iPhone, before he handed the project over to another engineer, citing "Apple's policies." He wrote that he was "philosophically opposed to the existence of their review process," and "very concerned that they are setting a horrible precedent for other software platforms."

Yesterday it was also discovered that Hewitt yanked his personal blog down, perhaps after the unwelcome attention throw his way.

Japanese version of SNSD’s ‘Gee’ leaked!

Earlier today, tokyohive reported that Shoujo Jidai (SNSD) would be releasing their song, “Gee“, as their second Japanese single. Just recently, the full single has been leaked on Youtube, and although it’s low quality due to the song apparently being recorded on a cellphone, it’s still clear enough to hear what the track sounds like in Japanese.

'I've ruined my career': Lindsay Lohan puts on brave front as she awaits outcome of drug test failure

Lindsay Lohan looked calm and in control last night as she arrived at an AA meeting in Hollywood.

But friends are claiming that underneath the calm exterior, the actress is panicking about what is going to happen to her after she failed two mandatory drug tests.

Wearing a stripey short playsuit with a black hat and black boots, Lindsay even managed a smile at one point.

But according to TMZ, the Mean Girls star is 'beating herself up' over the tests, one of which tested positive for cocaine.

Her friends also say Lindsay 'feels like she just ruined all these really great opportunities that were coming her way.'

And it looks like the actress should be worried about the effect this will have on her career.

Her role as Linda Lovelace in upcoming biopic Inferno will be in serious jeopardy if Judge Fox refuses Lindsay permission to travel.

Samsung Cetus i917 is in this video, automating your homes (video)

Believe it or not, we know most everything about the Samsung's Windows Phone 7-powered Cetus -- what it looks like, where it's going and what's inside, despite never seeing the device invoke a single pane of that Metro UI. Well, that's just changed with a new video from WMPowerUser, who tricked with WP7 program manager Charlie Kindel showing off his personal device -- albeit running a humble garage door opener app and thumbing through the dialer rather than showing a potent program of some sort. Still, that 4-inch AMOLED screen is very much in attendance, as you can see from the saturated orange squares above, and we'll just have to hope the last pieces of the Cetus puzzle -- release date and price -- come together in good time. Video after the break.

Eva Mendes shows off her sizzling curves old fashioned Hollywood style at Toronto Film Festival

Eva Mendes managed to blow the competition off the red carpet in Toronto last night - despite keeping her cleavage and legs firmly under wraps.

The 36-year-old sex bomb instead wore a dress so skin-tight, it looked as though she'd been stitched into it and it showed off her curves to devastating effect.

The 2 Fast 2 Furious star wore the stunning black frock that reeked of old school Hollywood glamour for a gala screening of her new movie Last Night at the city's film festival.

The actress - who wanted to be a nun when she grew up - certainly got people's attention for the film, which she stars in alongside Avatar's Sam Worthington and Keira Knightley.

Kim Kardashian and Miles Austin Call It Quits

Barely more than a week after a source claimed that Kim Kardashian's long-distance romance with her Dallas Cowboys beau, Miles Austin, was going "stronger than ever," the couple have gone their separate ways.

"There's no huge reason except their distance apart," a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE, explaining that the decision was mutual. "With his season and Kim's filming [Keeping Up with the Kardashians] it just slowly split them apart."

The source adds: "They tried to keep it as low profile as possible when they were together. They were acting as if they were single or just having fun, but they never were – it was the real deal. They were always strong, but before Kim left for Europe they decided it's not fair that they don't get to spend more time together and ended it."

Facebook denies 'Facebook phone' report

Facebook is denying a report in TechCrunch that the social-networking giant is working in secret on producing its own mobile phone.

In a report accompanied by the headline "Facebook Is Secretly Building A Phone," TechCrunch reported earlier today that the social-networking giant is developing an operating system to be used on hardware created by a third party. The report named two senior Facebook executives with experience developing operating systems--Joe Hewitt and Matthew Papakipos--as working on the project. Papakipos, a former engineering director at Google, left the search giant for Facebook in June after working on the Chrome operating system and Chrome browser.

TechCrunch's Michael Arrington posits that the move is intended to integrate user contact lists and other social-networking functions on a phone.

However, Facebook says Arrington got the story wrong.

"Facebook is not building a phone," Facebook spokesperson Jaime Schopflin told CNET today. "Our view is that almost all experiences would be better if they were social, so integrating deeply into existing platforms and operating systems is a good way to enable this.

"The people mentioned in the story are working on these projects," Schopflin said, referencing current projects in the works, such as an HTML5 version of the site. "The bottom line is that whenever we work on a deep integration, people want to call it a 'Facebook Phone' because that's such an attractive soundbite, but building phones is just not what we do."

Apple's iPhone 4 coming to China on September 25

Turns out the rumors weren't too far off. After fighting for ages to get the iPhone 3G to Chinese shores, citizens of the the aforementioned nation will soon be able to pick up one of Apple's latest (the iPhone 4, if you're keeping count) without reverting to importers and KIRF shops. Starting on September 25th, the iPhone 4 will be available across China in retail locations as well as China Unicom shops, with off-contract pricing set for CNY4,999 (16GB model) and CNY5,999 (32GB model) -- that's around $743 and $892 in greenbacks, respectively. Those looking for subsidization options will need to do some digging once China Unicom starts talking numbers. But hey, at least this one has WiFi!

Daesung rocks out for What’s Up

Jaws dropped when Big Bang member Daesung first revealed his ripped shirtless body a few days ago. These photos were for Daesung’s upcoming new drama titled, “What’s Up“. Now even more photos from the drama have been released.

Daesung is said to assume the role of a student pursuing musical studies, but it seems like this “student” may be living a double life as an idol under the stage name Hades, the Greek god of the underworld. In one of the photos, a fan is holding up a sign that reads “take off your mask” in Korean, while another fan is holding up the same message but in English.

The photos below are from the drama, as Daesung had to film a rock concert for it. The mask, outfit and setting definitely gives off a creepy yet epic rock vibe, so fans are definitely excited to see this new side of our usual comedic relief. Check out some of the photos below!

TVB Anniversary Series Battle Between High Executives Catherine Tsang and Tommy Leung

Every year's TVB anniversary series are the fight between executives Catherine Tsang and Tommy Leung, the two powerful directors/producers in the production unit. Both have their wins and loses these years, however, series produced by Catherine has been winning over those produced by Tommy. Recent example include "Heart of Greed," "Moonlight Resonance," "Rosy Business," and "Beyond the Realm of Conscience," which are all very well-known series and did well in ratings, popularity, word of mouth, and TVB anniversary awards. In contrast, besides "E.U." was more outstanding, Tommy's other series didn't do so well. Last year, Tommy's "Born Rich" and Catherine's "BTROC" were selected as anniversary series. The final result: "BTROC" receives average ratings of 35 points and peaked 50 points; but "BR" was dissed by viewers as "Born Boring."

This month, Tommy's "Growing Through Life" is competing Catherine's "Can't Buy Me Love." "GTL" received mediocre ratings of 27 points but "CBML" receive average 33 points so far. Knowing he can't lose again for this year's anniversary series fight, Tommy purposely replaced "Relic of an Emissary" (洪武三十二) who was originally selected as one of the anniversary series, with police drama "Gun Metal Grey" (刑警). It's known the reason "ROAE" is out because its setting is similar to "Rosy Business 2: No Regrets," both sets in the ancient/prepublic series. Also, the duo of Michael Miu and Felix Wong in "GMG" is more interesting to watch, since they haven't collaborated in a long time. Reporters contacted Tommy and he explained the selection is decided by drama unit. "Heard it was going to be 'ROAE,' but they would decide based on the background and after production of the series. 'ROAE' just finished shooting. I watched 'GMG,' and think it's very good."

'Town' tops weekend b.o. with $23.8 million

Adults stole the show at the weekend box office.

Older moviegoers rallied to fall's first star-driven movie drama, as Warner Bros.' Ben Affleck-helmed heist thriller "The Town" copped $23.8 million in U.S. and Canadian coin for a surprise No. 1 bow.

"Town" stars Affleck, Jon Hamm of TV's "Mad Men" fame and Jeremy Renner, a hot casting commodity since last year's "The Hurt Locker." The trio stumped tirelessly to promote the Boston-set pic, which was produced for under $35 million and was 50% co-financed by Legendary Pictures.

Affleck marked a new helming high by topping his $5.5 million debut with 2007's "Gone Baby Gone." But the bow by "Town" -- the first pic Affleck both directed and toplined -- was never going to approach his personal best as an actor, a $59.1 million opening with 2001's "Pearl Harbor."

Inside Katy Perry's Vegas Bachelorette Bash -- With Rihanna!

Bride-to-be Katy Perry woke up in Vegas on Sunday -- after a wild, wild night out!

Set to wed British comic Russell Brand this fall, Perry, 25, hit Sin City Saturday night with best friend Rihanna and 25 other guys and gals for an epic bachelorette party.

Before heading out for the night, Perry jokingly Tweeted about her upcoming night of Las Vegas debauchery: "Signing up for a liver transplant now." She then quoted 9-year-old Willow Smith's club banger: "I whip my hair back 'n forth."

The festivities began when Perry, Rihanna and the rest of the revelers arrived at the MGM Grand in a stretch Hummer convertible. As the limo pulled up, Perry (wearing a crown!) and Rihanna bopped to blasting music.

The gal pals were arm in arm as they entered the back-door entrance of the resort to check out an early performance of KA by Cirque du Soleil.

After the show, the famous singers visited with the Cirque du Soleil cast backstage -- playing with their out-of-this-world costumes and complimenting the performers' amazing, freaky show.

The party continued on into the night as the crew boarded the stretch Hummer -- headed for a top-secret location.

Perry and Get Him to the Greek's Brand, 35, got engaged over the New Year while on holiday in Jaipur, India. The "California Gurls" singer has "never connected with anybody like this," a pal told Us.

Jolin Tsai responds to male model boyfriend rumors: "Just friends"

Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai was recently caught on an outing with half-Singaporean, half-New Zealand male model Vivian Dawson, igniting rumors of romance between the pop idol singer and her male co-star from a recent MV of hers. A reporter stopped Jolin as she was entering a vehicle to ask whether the rumors of her dating the mixed-blood male model were true, to which Jolin shyly responded and smirked, "We're just friends." But regarding the Japanese trip she had with Vivian, Jolin smiled and didn't answer.

According to reports, after the male model in question Vivian starred in the leading role for Jolin's recent MV "Love Player 玩愛之徒", the tall and handsome model made his move to pursue Jolin through instant messaging service MSN using polite messages and sincere emoticons. After Vivian succeeded in becoming a good friend of Jolin, the two of them soon supposedly developed a romantic relationship, which not only involved Vivian taking part in Jolin's 30th birthday party, but also them arranging for what has been dubbed a "romantic trip" to Japan.

Vic Zhou studying Japanese for latest drama role as doctor

After declining the chance to continue his role for the movie version of previous hit drama "Black & White", and losing out on the lead role for the production-troubled "Killer Never Kills", things are looking bright again with production beginning for Vic Zhou's latest drama "Returning Home / Pacific 1949".

In Vic's latest drama, he will play a Taiwanese-Japanese military doctor during the tumultous East Asian conflicts of the mid-20th century. According to reports, the singer-turned-actor will shorten his idol haircut even more to fall in line with the military hair style required for the role. Vic hopes that his latest acting role will once again bring redemption to his acting ambition.

Megan Fox Will See Next Transformers Movie

Megan Fox insists she’ll go and watch the next Transformers movie — but admits it will be “weird” seeing her replacement Rosie Huntington Whiteley as Shia LaBeouf’s love interest.

Megan — who left the film franchise earlier this year following ongoing criticism from crew members about her working attitude on the first two flicks — says she’s eager to see how Rosie gets on in the role.

“I will see it,” Megan said. “I’m gonna see it. I might be a little jealous when I see somebody kissing my Shia, wearing my jeans that I… already had been fit for. It’s kind of weird, actually.”

Fox — who’s married to actor Brian Austin Green — recently described her performance in new movie Passion Play as her best to date by far.

“The thing is I didn’t grow up in a television show or in theater where you can grow as an actress without all eyes being on you,” she said.

“My first job was Transformers and I have kind of had to grow with each project. I was under an incredible amount of anticipation with everyone watching me. I feel like the more I work the better I will become.”

Korea Music Copyright Association list 20 plagiarized songs

A total of 20 songs have been swept up in legitimate plagiarism controversies since 2000, and it has recently been revealed by the Committee on Culture, Sports, Tourism, Broadcasting & Communications that the royalties earned by these songs total to $1,724,138 USD.

Jin Sungho of the Committee revealed a series of documents submitted by the Korea Music Copyright Association describing the situation behind royalties received by composers that have plagiarized. According to the document, the court has found a total of 20 songs to be plagiarized, some including MC Mong’s “Letter to You,” Hyori’s “I’m Back” and “Swing,” Lee Seung Ki’s “Mask,” Son Dambi’s “Saturday Night,” Lee Seung Chul’s “Scream,” CNBlue’s “Loner,” and GDragon’s “Heartbreaker.” The problem lies in the fact that royalty payments of nearly $250,000 USD per song were paid without any clear standards, totaling nearly 2 million USD.

Upon further investigation reveals that in the case of song ‘Q,’ which was released in 2009, totaled $250,000 USD in royalties in the year it’s been active.

In the case of song ‘R,’ it received $230,000 USD in royalties since its release in 2004. Out of the 20 plagiarized songs listed over the past 10 years, nine songs were paid over $100,000 USD in royalties.
