Make no mistake: Carrie Underwood means business when it comes to getting her groove on.

For her July 10 wedding to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, the country queen, 27, opted for a Chantilly lace and silk organza Monique Lhuillier gown. But after the ceremony, the bride promptly changed into a strapless Lhuillier cocktail dress.

"The wedding dress was huge," Underwood tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change."

Also looking sharp for the wedding, which was held at Georgia's Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort: Underwood's beloved pooch Ace, who donned a Swarovski crystal-encrusted pink tuxedo to trot down the aisle.

"Mike was like, 'He's in pink! What are you doing?' " the newlywed singer says of Ace's tux. "But he looked so handsome."

Hangeng speaks out on SM Entertainment human rights violations

In a recent interview on a BTV program on July 12th, Hangeng gave some chilling answers as to why he eventually decided to leave SM Entertainment last year.

Apparently, the decision to leave came after a series of incidents which piled up and made it impossible for Hangeng to stay on.

Hangeng stated that it was true he couldn’t take sick leave nor return to China to visit his family. Even more astounding was the treatment given to him and fellow Super Junior member, Choi Siwon by a SM Entertainment manager after they fell sick two hours before an awards ceremony last year. Leehom teaches Usher how to sing in Chinese

American R&B king Usher recently performed in Beijing's Wukesong Arena with Taiwanese artist Leehom Wang as his esteemed guest. The American singer paid his respects to his Asian hosts by singing Leehom's Mandarin song "The One and Only" with the original singer himself. Furthermore, Usher showed his happiness when he said "Hello, Beijing!" and "I love you!" in Mandarin during his big show. Spectators for Usher's Beijing concert included huge names in the Chinese entertainment world such as Zhang Ziyi and Na Ying, which brought out an audience that came from all walks of life.

Usher made the trip to Taiwan a week earlier and created excitement for his concert there, and he put on another sensational performance for his Beijing concert. Fans continued to be cordial, and he appeared in the flesh with a white outfit fitting for his hip-hop fashion style while he got the atmosphere sizzling with a chair-utilized dance number. And with Leehom Wang as Usher's guest, the both of them not only sang together for Usher's hit track "OMG", but Leehom also gave Usher a crash course in Mandarin and taught Usher to sing his own song "The One and Only" in its original Mandarin.

The petite 42-year-old singer strikes a series of sexy poses for gay magazine Out, as she reveals that the new record - which shot to the top of the UK charts on Sunday - was partly inspired by Lady Gaga.

Kylie admits she had to rethink the direction of the new record when Gaga came on the music scene, because she was so inspiring.



She told the magazine: 'Lady Gaga dropped a meteor in the middle of the pop landscape - which is amazing.

'But it meant that we had to take that into account. It wouldn’t have made any sense to go down that road to try to fit in.'

Kylie also said that despite the worldwide critical acclaim her album has so far received, she hates dealing with any bad reviews, but it will never put her off continuing her career in the music industry.

Even when she's dressed as a nun, Lindsay Lohan still doesn't look very innocent.


The 24-year-old actress -- who will begin her 90-day prison sentence in Lynwood, Calif. on July 20 -- wears a religious habit and licks a gun in a newly released poster for Machete.

Lohan plays socialite April "The Sister" Benz in the film, which also stars Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro and Michelle Rodriguez.

Days after the actress was sentenced for violating her probation, a film's trailer was released without Lohan; her name briefly appears in the credits.

When Machete hits theaters Sept. 3, Lohan is expected to still be incarcerated and therefore unable to promote the film.

Analyst: iPhone 4 recall would cost $1.5 billion

In the wake of Consumer Reports announcing that it would not be recommending the iPhone 4 due to the much-discussed antenna problems, there have been calls for Apple to recall the device.

While a recall could be damaging to Apple's reputation, it would also be a costly endeavor, according to some calculations made by Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi. In a research note on Tuesday, Sacconaghi estimated that while "a full product recall of the iPhone 4 (is) highly unlikely," it would cost Apple $1.5 billion, or 3.5 percent of its total cash on hand.

What would be more likely--and cheaper--is that Apple could issue a free rubber bumper case with each phone. That would prevent a person's hand from coming into contact with the phone's antenna, which is built into its exterior metal strip. Although Apple charges $29 at retail for the rubber cases, Bernstein estimates that giving them away to iPhone 4 customers would cost the company $1 per unit.

NPD: Early Office 2010 sales 'disappointing'

Stephen Baker, NPD Group's vice president of industry analytics, on Tuesday called the first two weeks of sales for Microsoft's Office 2010 product "a bit disappointing."

The group's findings, which stem from its Weekly Tracking Service, were posted to NPD's company blog on Tuesday, and show that both the number of units sold and the money made from Office 2010 are less than they were for the first two weeks of sales for Office 2007. However, the findings also show that Microsoft is "in line, and in fact slightly ahead of" the expected 2010 calendar year sales trends for Office 2007.

According to Baker, a big part of the problem lies in the fact that current Office 2007 users don't have as much of a reason to upgrade as they did in the past. "Office 2007 was a radical new design that certainly helped deliver a lot of curious buyers and it was launched nearly parallel with Vista, adding a good deal of promotional activity in the software aisle, both of which likely helped drive initial sales of Office 2007," Baker said. Baker also pointed to the difference in release timing, as Office 2007 was released in time for the busy holiday shopping season, whereas the 2010 edition came in the slower summer months.

After a year-long break from the music industry, Jolin Tsai is set to return in August with her album Vogue, which is a tribute to Madonna. Interestingly, the first promotional photo featuring Jolin in her new image has been getting some rather mixed reviews. One netizen commented that she looks like a spokesperson for the popular anti-fungal cream EcoFu (益可膚), while Lucifer Chu (Chinese translator of Lord of the Rings and other popular works) joked that she is a real-life Buzz Lightyear.


Sam Chen, who is the president of Warner Music Chinese Mandarin, responded back with some strong words. He said, “I support his point of view, but he and I are interpreting different things. His interpretation is based on the beauty of her clothing, as if he is a fashion icon; Jolin does this from her heart, not by appearance. Of course it’s not the same.”

One of our Verizon Wireless connects sent us in a pretty nice document just moments ago… It’s Verizon Wireless’ summer device catalog, and we have it in its entirety. What’s most surprising is the inclusion of the Motorola Droid 2, a device Verizon Wireless has not announced, taking basically center stage on some of the pages. Thanks to the Summer / Fall catalog, we do have some confirmed specifications on the Motorola Droid 2: 8GB memory card preinstalled, 5 megapixel camera, 3G Mobile Hotspot functionality, and 1GHz CPU. There is also confirmation of the Pantech Jest, the Samsung Intensity 2 makes an appearance, as well as the Verizon Wireless Salute, and finally the Samsung Gusto rounds off the feature phones.

Robert Pattinson Calls Out Courtney Love, Refers to Singer as a "Dick"

In a new interview with Great Britain's The Daily Mirror, Robert Pattinson touches on a number of topics.

Asked about the rumor that he was up for the role of Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic, Pattinson said he never considered it - and then blasted Love for her negative remarks (when she referred to that possibility as "stupid") in April.

Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem have always kept their romance under the radar – and their intimate wedding was equally low-profile.

Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem, 41, exchanged vows in front of family members during a small, private ceremony held at a friend’s home in the Bahamas earlier this month, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress.

The Spanish lovebirds, who are both Oscar winners, started dating in 2007 but have famously kept their relationship out of the public eye. Last year rumors surfaced that the couple had gotten engaged, but they would not comment.

When once asked about Bardem, Cruz refused to confirm whether they were even dating, but couldn't hold back her admiration, saying, "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."

Bardem won an Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as a killer in 2007's No Country for Old Men. Cruz took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 Woody Allen comedy, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also starred Bardem.

The couple first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992, one of Cruz's first films.

Verizon: don’t worry, we’ll likely have enough Droid X phones for everyone at launch

The Motorola Droid X is going to be available at Verizon in two days from now, starting July 15, and we’ve been hearing some rumors implying that initial stock might be limited.


Since there is already a precedent for this (with the HTC Droid Incredible being quickly sold out), lots of Verizon customers are probably afraid they won’t be able to buy the new Droid X anytime soon.

Well, we have good news. Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney has told Cnet the following:

“At present, we feel that we have done everything possible to ensure we have inventory to meet customer needs around the Droid X – the proof will be in the execution on July 15.”

Danielle Staub Suing Teresa Giudice and Ashley Holmes

The girls from the Garden State are getting grimy, with last night's episode of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' reaching new - and unbeweavable - dramatic heights. The episode featured hot-tempered housewife Teresa Giudice starting an argument and Ashley Holmes, daughter of housewife Jacqueline Laurita, physically attacking the ladies' sworn enemy, castmate Danielle Staub.

Staub's lawyer has confirmed that his client is suing the alleged perpetrators of the attack at the Passaic County Superior Court, describing the mindset of the assailants as, "like a gang mentality."

Staub's attorney in the case, Paul Giblin, told Hollywood Life, "We are going to use this footage and prepare a case against these women. We are seeking assault and battery charges, defamation of character and punitive damages as well."

Giudice, who famously flipped a table on Staub at the end of the show's first season, did not physically attack the mother of two, but was shown chasing Staub while yelling insults. Holmes, who reportedly believed that Staub had assaulted her mother, grabbed Staub, allegedly ripping out a clump of her weave.

Intel posts $2.9 billion profit, cites strong demand

Intel's second-quarter profit surged past the dismal earnings reported in the same period last year.

For the quarter, which ended period ended June 26, Intel earned $2.9 billion, or 51 cents a share, one of the biggest profit showings in its history. And it was a stark contrast with the loss of $398 million, or 7 cents per share, posted a year ago. Last year's results were pushed down by a $1.45 billion charge as a result of a European Commission antitrust fine.

Analysts had been expecting second-quarter earnings of 43 cents per share.

Revenue for the world's largest chipmaker was $10.8 billion, up 34 percent year over year.

"Strong demand from corporate customers for our most advanced microprocessors helped Intel achieve the best quarter in the company's 42-year history," said Paul Otellini, Intel president and CEO, in a statement.

All that we’re missing at this point, is an official statement from Microsoft about how much their motion-based gaming peripheral is going to cost. Yeah, that’s right. We’ve got pricing from just about everyone else by this point, but Microsoft has still yet to “announce” anything. And that’s even after their very own Microsoft Store listed the Kinect at $149.99. And considering everywhere seems to be boasting the same price, we’d be pretty surprised if that wasn’t the final decision. But, if you are thinking about getting a bundle, Walmart’s already got you covered.

JJ Lin proves he is not a Ken doll after all

Some of us were utterly disappointed when JJ Lin’s nipple got digitally removed from the first promotional photo for his upcoming World tour. Fortunately, JJ is back in full nipple glory in the latest stills for the concert, which should be enough to prove that he is not a girl’s toy after all!


Despite a more revealing JJ Lin in the new photos, the official poster for his "I AM" tour maintained the nippleless-style much like the one previously released. It featured the topless singer literally engulfed by “flames”, which were strategically placed over his chest. The "flaming" JJ Lin showed some added manliness with his toned pectoral muscles and six-pack. When asked if even more skin will be shown at the concert, he said, “This concert will definitely include a breakthrough performance, and won’t leave anyone disappointed.”

HK actor Eric Tsang to appear in Rain’s Fugitive drama

Hong Kong’s national actor and movie director Eric Tsang will appear in the drama Fugitive.

The actor was cast as for the role of General Wi, a character who is business partners with Kai played by Daniel Henney and friends with Jiwoo who is played by Rain.


The story revolves around a detective named Jiwoo who liked to handle cases that are hard to solve. On the day that Las Vegas casino in Macau opened, General Wi discovers the corpse of Jinee’s parents and asks Jiwoo for help. Jiwoo then accepts the offer and gets closer to solving the case of Jinee’s parents’ murder. However, he soon receives a difficult plea from Mi Jin and becomes torn about his decisions.

Oksana Fights Back in Angry Mel Tape No. 3

Another day, another irate telephone rant allegedly from Mel Gibson has emerged, this one lasting more than six minutes.

Again, the language is explicit and the tone is hostile. But this time, his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, apparently becomes a more vocal presence, speaking up and talking back to Gibson, who rails against her in what appears to be an argument about a Latina houseworker, to whom he refers with a racial slur.

Like recordings one and two, this tape was also released by RadarOnline.

"You own me with my liver and my kidneys and my soul," Grigorieva, 40, tells Gibson, 54, who appears to be angry to be paying for the services of a domestic employee. "You control me, like marionette … I walk on eggshells with you."

Gibson hurls insults at Grigorieva, telling her, "You're a f---ing mentally deprived idiot. You're a f---ing using whore … I own you."

Called a "user," Grigorieva replies, "What did I use you for? I've given you everything I have … I'm not a whore or thief … Are you insane? Of course you are."

Jail Time Equals Big Payout for Lindsay Lohan

While there are conflicting reports about how much Lindsay Lohan will make for her first post-jail interview, the numbers being discussed still prove she's going to have a huge payday. While she may not be a bankable movie star anymore, media outlets are flooding her with requests to talk to her after she's done in the slammer. PopEater's Rob Shuter previously reported that she was already working to secure a whopping $1 million for her first post-jailhouse chat.

Sources told Page Six, "The irony is Lindsay is in demand. The bidding is over $500,000 for the rights to the pre-jail interview, the prison diary and the first chat when she is released."

"But Lindsay is still convinced she'll get a reduced term -- even if she has to go to rehab afterwards for longer. She has spoken to a number of lawyers over the weekend. She's even seeing a psychic for guidance," the source added.

Lohan is not the first celebrity to turn her troubles into a paid gig. The New York Post reported that Paris Hilton was offered a million dollars for her post-prison interview back in June 2007. After a public outcry, however, several media outlets ultimately decided not to pursue Paris, forcing her to give her interview away to CNN's Larry King for free.

Windows Phone Live to offer remote wipe, location, and sync for your Windows Phone 7 device

See, Android owners don't ever lose their phones, so that's why they don't need this capability... right? Right? Hot on the heels of yesterday's news that RIM would be delivering a comprehensive remote wipe solution to BlackBerrys this year, Andy Lees is mentioning at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference today that an all-new Windows Phone Live website will figure prominently into the Windows Phone 7 equation when devices launch toward the end of 2010. It looks like the site is divided into two, arguably equally important parts: a sync function, which lets you transfer photos directly from your phone (a la Kin Studio, perhaps?), move OneNote content, synchronize contacts, and so on, and a suite of tools for dealing with a lost or stolen device -- you'll be able to remotely wipe it, locate it, lock it, or just make it ring until you drive the thief out of his gourd.

On a related note, Lees is also announcing that we'll be seeing the first volley of Windows Phone 7 devices in five languages -- English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish -- and that Windows Phone Marketplace (the Windows Phone 7 version of it, presumably) will be available in 17 countries out of the gate. That's not what we'd call global domination, of course, but you've got to start somewhere.

Rumors have started to fly around the internet about an iPhone 4 recall, and this got us thinking… while we think a mandatory recall is very unlikely (as the iPhone 4 isn’t much of a safety concern), this is now a no win-situation for Apple.


When accounts of the iPhone 4’s reception woes first began to surface — shortly after the device’s release — Apple instantly denied the problem. We heard things like, “There is no issue,” and “All phones have some signal degradation depending on how you hold them,” and so on. Apple’s initial strategy seemed to be to deny the existence of an issue.

People with RF engineering backgrounds and fancy degrees began stating that due to the way the iPhone’s antenna is engineered, grasping the phone “incorrectly” could cause the RF emission from the antenna to convert into heat, thus losing or diminishing the signal. To this Apple’s response was the admission of a “shocking” software error that causes your iPhone 4 (and presumably all other iPhones) to display the wrong number of “bars” in your signal meter.

The star was spotted at a cinema with another woman

Long distance relationships are difficult to maintain and it gets worse when your boyfriend is Vanness Wu.

The former F4 member recently revealed that he has patched up with ex-girlfriend Arissa. The two used to date for a year. Marriage was on the cards since their reconciliation.

However, with Vanness based in Taiwan and Arissa in Singapore, the relationship has not been easy to maintain.

Last week Vanness was seen at a cinema together with a dark-skinned babe. The two quickly disappeared into the crowd when Vanness realized he was being followed.

The sighting of Vanness with another female casts doubts over his current relationship with Arissa.

According to his manager, Vanness and the dark-skinned babe are "just friends". When asked if the relationship between Vanness and Arissa has been going well, the manager hesitated before replying in the positive.

Vanness was in China yesterday when he told reporters that the relationship is still going strong.

He also revealed that his new single, No More Tears, will be released in Japan at the end of the month and that he will be busy with filming in subsequent months.

There's business class, then there's first class, then there's multi-millionaire hotel heiress class.

Paris Hilton gave us a peak into her lavish and luxurious lifestyle when she Tweeted a picture of herself yesterday reclining on a bed on her private jet as she flew to Paris, France.

Hilton, was coming from London, about which she Tweeted: 'I love this city! One of my favorite cities in the world.'



Hilton had previously Tweeted some other pictures of herself on the jet, one of her on a double bed as she flew to South Africa and another of her posing on a leather sofa as she returned back to London.

The luxury private jet, a 1979 Boeing 747, retails at around $270million and is owned by Sheldon Adelson, CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.

Joe Jonas is "Smitten" with Ashley Greene, Sources Say

Ah, so this is why he showed up at the London premiere of Eclipse.

While we're always happy to see the cute mug of Joe Jonas, we were perplexed by his presence at last month's event. Turns out, he's less a fan of The Twilight Saga in general than he is of a specific aspect of it:

Ashley Greene.

Sources tell OK! Weekly the two stars have grown close over the last few weeks, as they attended a King of Leon concert together recently and "there was definitely something going on, but it’s not serious," says an insider.

Another source - who refers to Green as a "maneater" - says Joe is "smitten" with the actress, but the feelings aren't exactly reciprocated: “I think he wants it to be more than she does right now."

Jonas is coming off a break-up with Demi Lovato, while Greene has been linked romantically to guitarist Jared Followill. If these two ever did get together, they'd have solid nickname potential.

Gonas? Jeene? We could get behind either option.

iPhone 4 Has Officially Been Unlocked

If you’re an international customer (not in the United States), then you won’t have to do much to get your hands on an unlocked iPhone 4. They come like that across the pond. So, as is usual ’round these parts, devs had to crack down on their social lives to get the new iPhone, running iOS4, unlocked. It involved rewriting the entire ultrasn0w software, which meant previous versions couldn’t be used, thanks to the new baseband that Apple installed in the iPhone 4. But, PlanetBeing and MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team have managed to get an iPhone 4, running iOS4, unlocked.



Thanks to a tweet from PB, he now has a soft-unlocked iPhone 4 up in Canada (which means it’s probably the only one up there in that state, if they were doing their testing on only one device). And, while text from one of the devs is good enough for us, we know that pictures speak louder than words, so those are included too. One of which shows the application Cydia open and running. So, at this point, the iPhone 4 has been successfully unlocked, thanks to outside means. Of course, that could change with a future update from Apple, and then the whole back-and-forth will continue into its legendary history.

The Hills are alive with the sounds of new beginnings: Audrina Patridge, of MTV fame, stars in the Autumn/Winter 2010-11 marketing campaign for popular junior’s brand Bongo.


Beginning this fall, Bongo apparel and accessories, first made famous with a booty-hugging line of blues launched in the 1980s’, will go on sale exclusively at Sears and Kmart stores in the United States. The new deal comes with a new face for the brand. The Into The Blue 2 star is overjoyed to follow in the denim-clad footsteps of former modern-day Bongo babes — including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie, Rachel Bilson, and even nemesis Kristin Cavallari. Patridge’s newest gig couldn’t come at a better time. The sun will set on her television docu-soap The Hills after six seasons this Tuesday night @ 10PM.

Miley Cyrus: ‘I’ve Changed Loads Since Hannah Montana’

MILEY Cyrus says she has “changed a lot” since finding fame on the hit US TV show Hannah Montana.

The 17-year-old — who recently quit the Disney program to focus on her burgeoning movie career — told J-14 magazine that she’s transformed into a different person over the past few years.

“I think I’ve definitely changed a lot. When I came to the set, I had my mom,” Miley said.

“She was my assistant, make-up artist, hair stylist and wardrobe person, all at the same time. My mom had me in this t-shirt that she had got for me that says: ‘I should have my own TV show.’

“I had it on with my skirt and full face make-up. I was just sitting there like: ‘Oh my God, I’m on a Disney set. My life is like about to change.’

“Sure enough, it did. I just remember coming to work with full face make-up, and now we’re all in our pajamas when we come to work.

“I’m definitely a lot more comfortable with myself and I don’t need to feel like I need to get dressed up every day. This is just like a home to us.”
